PCUI and CRM customizing tutorial?

hi guys, Is anyone know where I can find a tutorial for the PCUI and CRM customizing tutorial?
Thanks a lot!

Hello Eric,
for CRM Customizing I would suggest the <a href="http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/index.htm">SAP Best Practices for Customer Relationship Management</a>. For PC-UI you should try to get the PC-UI Book and look at the Weblogs toppic CRM. Please use the SDN Search to find them.

  • Difference between PCUI and CRM GUI

    Hi all,
We are currently on CRM 5.0 and we noticed that in the CRM GUI
you have much more possibilities(and freedom) as in the PCUI version.
Eg. In the PCUI we can relate a contactperson to only 1 company while in the
    gui version this is unlimited.
Another example: If we relate a contactperson to a company in the PCUI,
the address of the company is shown together with the contact person.
If we do this in the GUI(even when explicitly choosing for the copying of the address) , there is no copying of this address.
Is this default and standard SAP?
I can understand that the PCUI offers less possibilities but I can not believe that it handles another business logic then in the GUI.
    Thanks for all reactions,
    Hans

    Dear Frederic,
    Thanks for your fast response.
I'm not at my office and i'm a total novice in CRM.
How can I see which application we use?
Us was told that there is only ONE possibility for transaction BP in the portal.
Since there are differences between the two gui's, there is now the intention to rework the gui backend(with bapi's) so that it would react the same as in the portal(PCUI).
I have 10 years of overall experience in R/3 and this seems to me the world upside down.
Another intention is to let all users work from the portal(which is not very performant)
Furthermore I've difficulty to believe that SAP would offer a product(PCUI) that handles another business logic then the backend logic which is the basis of everything.
About the business address of the contact person:
In the portal we see this address together with the contact person data.
In the GUI we don't see it on the general tab(which doesn't seem to me unlogic since you can relate the same contact person to different companies)
    Thanks again,
    Hans

  • PCUI and Customer H Enhancement

    Hi,
I am very confused regarding enhancement and how it integrates with PCUI. I tried going through the weblog by Tiest on PCUI and EEW Integration but didnt work.
In my CRM setup, enhancements were added via SAP IMG
Customer Relationship Management->Transactions->Basic Settings->Business Add-Ins->Business Add-In for Customer Enhancements at Header Level
And the fields are appended to structure, CRMT_CUSTOMER_H_EXT. I can see the fields in transaction, CRMD_ORDER but not in PCUI.
    1) How do I make the fields available in PCUI???
I did another excercise of adding fields to CI_EEW_BUT000 directly and without any additional steps, they are available in PCUI.
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi Tiest,
Still the same. Anyway, here are some of the objects that are generated in EEWB

In CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C, I entered the following:
FIELD NAME IN ZLEAD_DETAILS FIELD GROUP
    ZZORGMAN0101
    ZZORGMAN0102
Question: Do I need to enter the Structure in Field Group for ZLEAD_DETAILS? And if yes, how do I find out which is the correct structure??
As I did a where-use of ZZORGMAN0101, I found the following structures where the field was used.
    CRMT_BSP_CFM_SRVDATA1_IL
    CRMT_BSP_CPL_SERVICEDATA_IL

  • CRM 5.0, PCUI and Webclient texts

    Hi,
This is my first post so I apologise if I break any conventions.  Can anybody recommend a decent book or books for the above?  We are currently in implementation on CRM 5.0 as part of local government (to be used as an interaction centre), and all the books I've seen to read up on things seem to be for CRM 4.0 still.  Am I better off waiting until the new versions of the books come out, or are version 4.0 and 5.0 similar enough for me to get a book based on CRM 4.0?
    Thanks!
    Andrew G.

    Hi Ravela,
I tried it. But not resolved yet. I have IE7.0 installed and CRM 5.0 is of SP 09. I am not sure if this is compatible. Any inputs would be appreciated. I checked in the PAM but it says for IE7.0 EP7.0 should be of SP10 (min). But am trying it from Backend am not able to resolve it.
    thanks!

  • Difference Between PCUI and IC

    Hi  Experts ,
I have been with other Forum area . I  have had an oppurtunity to share with you all .
The applicaitons  of PCUI and Interaction center are developed usng
BSP , They are web based .
only UI In could find is that PCUI is more intuitive than Interaction Center .
Could  you  share  with  the  importance differnce .
    Thanks and Regards ,

    People Centric UI (PCUI)
People Centric User Interface provides a framework for developing web applications. This framework is based on the Business Server Page (BSP) technology and uses Model-View-Controller (MVC) programming model. PCUI developed applications can be easily integrated into SAP portals. Ease of use and excellent design principles makes PCUI a very helpful framework for developing stable, scalable and intuitive pattern based web applications.
PCUI is NOT intended as a general UI framework for all SAP customers. It is limited to CRM. Everything else is unsupported by SAP,even if shipped with others solutions like mySAP ERP.
    Interaction Centre (IC)
IC is basically related to telesales, telemarketing, customer service, and call center management functionality that allows you to leverage IC (along with the Web) as your main touch point for all marketing, sales, and service interactions with your customers. It allows you to find out how your call center agents can execute call lists, qualify leads, update customer data, create orders, and process service requests and complaints. Evaluate the differences among service orders, service tickets, cases, and complaints. Get tips for your managers about how to save time by using IC to monitor call lists, review email and telephone queues, and evaluate service levels. Hear how your colleagues route and handle inbound e-mails and Web forms in IC and how they dispatch and escalate services to agents. Gain insights into how to automate your peripheral call center duties to allow your agents to perform more strategic activities. IC is not a framework for development but its already developed nd u just need some configuration.

Hi, i am having an issue with a basic motion scroll effect.
I already watched and read every tutorial out there regarding this topic and even tried the adobe chat support, but the guy on the other end of the line disconnected me…, probably he didn't understand what i wanted from him because english is not my native language, so a will try to be very, very clear about this one..
please note, that i am new to muse, this is my first project ever.
    my idea is as following:
when the customer comes to our companies site, he just sees our logo on a white Background. the logo consists of, say, four elements. when the customer scrolls down, the logo starts to disassamble: first the first part of the logo flies out the left side of the site, then the second part of the logo vanishes down, then the third part of the logo flies to the right, then the fourth part of the logo flies to the top and out of the customers view. given what i have seen, it is possible to do that….
    so…..
now i have the four parts of my logo imported as png files into muse and assembled them in design view to build our companies logo. I select every one of the four parts and go into the scroll effects tab left beside the layers tab. first i enter the same values for every one of the four parts: initial motion: 0x and 0x again for the left and right motion; key position ( t-handle) : 0px; final motion: 0x and 0x again for the left and right value.
now i hit "preview".: the logo is "pinned" at the correct position, i can scroll but the logo stays where it is. so far so good….
now i select all the four elements again and go to the scroll effecs tab. at "final motion", i click the down arrows and enter 1x. I hit Preview…
when i am scrolling down the WHOLE logo goes down…. so far so good.
NOW i want the first part of the logo to go down, THEN the second part to go left, THEN the third part to go up, THEN the fourth part to go right.
so i select ONLY the first part, go to the scroll motion tab, at "final motion" i click the left arrows, then i enter 1x.( the up-down value, i set to 0 again).. i hit Preview…
the first part of the logo goes left as soon as i start scrolling, the other three parts still go down at the same time…
NOW i want the second part of the logo to start moving, when the first part has left the scene, not at the same time as the first part.
SO I SELECT THE SECOND PART AND DRAG ITS T-HANDLE (KEY POSITION) DOWN TO, LETS SAY, 200PX. SO IT STARTS MOVING ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER HAS REACHED THAT POINT, RIGHT?
BUT WHEN I PREVIEW THAT ****, THE LOGO IS NOT TOGETHER ANYMORE, THE SECOND PART IS FLOATING ANYWHERE ELSE BUT WHERE IT SHOULD BE…..WTFF????
short: when i move the t handle, the initial position of the object changes. thats what i said to the adobe employee, but he said, that thats the expected behavior….
but if thats so, how can i have my four parts correctly together, so they form my logo, but with different t handles, so that they all start to move at different times??
Pleeease help me, i am dying of frustration here…..:( that behavior cant be right, right?
Thanks so much to everyone who actually reads this post and tries to help…….
    All the best,
    Niki Lapan

Thank you so much for helping,
But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)
Anyway thank you very much for your time and effort!!!!

  • Relationship Between ECC Customers (Contact Persons) and CRM BP

    Hello,
I am new to middleware and need some help with the relationship between ECC customers/contact persons and CRM business partners.
We are transferring via bdoc this information from ECC to CRM.
Which bdoc types are used when transferring customers/contact persons? I believe it is BUPA_MAIN but am not too sure. How is the relationship between customer its contact person transferred? Is this done through BUPA_REL? I looked at the segment fields in SBDM but am not too sure how to understand the relationship...
    Thanks for the help!
    Regards,
    Tiffanie

Thanks! With the initial load, how do I check what fields are being passed in the bdocs?
I tried to look for customer_main, customer_rel in SBDM  and couldn't find it. Instead I used BUPA_MAIN and found some segments but couldn't find all the data that was being transferred (e.g. customer name, address, etc...) Where do I find all the fields contained in the bdoc?
I see them in SMW01 when I view the bdoc contents but can not find the actual structure (data fields) that are being brought in from ECC.
    Thanks!
    Tiffanie

  • Replication of text determination (business partner) between ERP and CRM

    Hello,
in ERP I have maintained a text determination procedure Z1 and assigned it to the text object "KNA1". The textprocedure include the Text ID's "Z011" and "Z020".
In CRM exist the text object "KNA1" and "BUT000". I have customized a a text determination procedure "Z1" and the same Text ID's as in ERP, to booth text objects.
The text ID's don't be replicated, no matter i maintain it in CRM or ERP.
Can anybody tell me, how can I replicate the content of the text ID's? What is the relevant text object in CRM?
    Thanks for help
    Regards
    Andreas

    Andrea,
There are objects for replicating the data between CRM and CDB.
    CRM_DNL_TTXOB  and CRM_DNL_TTXID.
But none for replication between R/3 and CRM. WE need to maintain it manually.

  • Middleware on CRM 7.0 for ERP and CRM sales integration

    Hi all,
i am involved in a CRM upgrade project in order to repleace the client current release with CRM 7.0.
currently, my client handles sales integration between ERP and CRM using middleware fucntion and in particular SCENARIO A that allows to create sales orders both in the CRM system and in the R/3 system and to change them mutually in both systems.
my question is: new release 7.0 covers all those included functionalities by default without implementing this scenario? If yes, how and what exactly.
thank you in advance and i am looking forward your feed-back
    cheers, lucia

    Hi Christophe
this can be done. You can call MDM web services for either doing a Free form search or even run a MDM matching strategy to find potential duplicates defined based on rules in MDM.
In one of our projects we have used Web services call from CRM ecommerce portal to MDM for doing a Customer search.
    Thanks-Ravi

  • Duplicate check via BAS (ADDRESS_SEARCH)-- how to handle non-crm customer?

    Dear all,
I'm implementing a duplicate check and using the BADI Address_search. Within this BADI I use the method "Address_Search" for calling a third party software tool with customer information. This tool checks whether the entered customer is already available in CRM AND in other system in our company holding.
The method provides me a list of all found duplicates (incl. non-crm customers)
My problem is that I need to fill a export table "ex_t_search_result" (type adkey_indx_tab) of this method which expects ADRC number. For the CRM customer it is not a problem. I can figure them out by table BUT020 and the customer number. But for the non-crm customer I do not have a ADRC number.
I know there are some methods for creating addresses in BAS (function group SZA0), but actually Im not sure how to handle them.
Does anybody of you had faced a similar issue?
    Thanks for your help
    Firat C.

    hello,
BP is BDT (Business Data toolset) enabled (you can check it by adding break point in FM BUS_PBO and executing BP transaction). You can add your check directly to standard view (the check will be executed each time when user pushes enter) or you could add you check to appropriate action (during saving etc.) there are number of actions which you could use it depends on your requirements. You can find a lot of info about BDT (if you are not familiar) in Wiki.

  • Business Partner from SRM and CRM in BW

    Gurus,
We are implementing both CRM and SRM this summer. Both make extensive use of Business Partner (0BPARTNER) which is causing headaches. CRM sends "customers" to BW via Business Partner and SRM sends vendors, purchasers and other stuff to BW via Business Partner. Unfortunately, the values of the keys of vendors clash with the value of the keys of customers. For example, Acme Suppliers could be numbered vendor 100 in SRM and Charles Customer could be numbered customer 100 in CRM. Last one loaded to Business Partner in BW wins.
I have three solutions so far:
    1. Compund 0BPARTNER with source system in BW and lfow downstream to all infoproviders.
    2. Create a separate object such as ZBPARTNER and load all SRM entities to this characteristic.
    3. Force each subsystem to change their number ranges. I suspect that is what SAP's Master Data Maintenance does, but I have no experience with this tool.
Has anyone faced this dilemma before? Am I missing something?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Customer and Vendor are two seperate business entities and deliver seperate business function.
Both of them should be staged seperately. You may have seperate objects for Customer and Vendor. (0CUSTOMER & 0VENDOR).
I agree that both are business partners but functions are different so should be treated as seperate antity.
    I hope it will help.
    Thanks,
    S

  • Difference between  crm 3.0  and crm  4.0  and crm 5.0

Please  tell  what is diff  between  crm  3,4,5.
    Thanks

    Asha,
I can't post all the details here but here is your quick summary
SAP CRM 3.0 was primarily SAP GUI based solution, did not have full functionality that was contained in CRM 4.0.  3.0 is no longer in support
SAP CRM 4.0 introduced IC webclient along with full use of PCUI.  Was considered first "full functionality" release.  4.0 is still in support for at least one more year
SAP CRM 5.0 refined the PCUI and included some functionality enhancements to CRM 4.0.  5.0 is still in support for about two more years.
If you are interested in specific details for each release, I suggest you view the release notes located out on http://help.sap.com for each version.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Company Code is not created for CRM Customer in R/3

    Hi Experts,
I have created a BP(with the role Sold-to) in CRM and the same was replicated to R/3 successfully, however the company code data for this customer has not beed created in R/3. I need company code data for the 'Reconciliation Account', which can be maintained under the company code data view of the Customer.
In addition, I am using the ECC Reference Customer which has company code data maintained for it.
    Kindly give your valuable suggestions.
    Best Regards,
    Raj

    Hi Jacob,
CRM doesn't support company code related fields for organizational structure and BP, because in general company code data is not utilized in CRM. The company code data for a customer will be maintained in ERP using the transaction XD01. Even if you download a customer from ERP into CRM, the company related data will not flow into CRM BP, because those fields are not sipported.
Please refer to the SAP note 504169, which clearly explaines the differences between the data models of ERP and CRM.
As per the note then below is not supported.
    Field name:
    KNB1-<xxxxx>, KNB5-<xxxxx>
    Description:
The company code-dependent data of the tables KNB1 and KNB5 are required for the processes billing, dunning and payment in the R/3 System.
    Reason:
These processes are neither required nor desired in the CRM Server. They still occur in the R/3 System. Therefore, this data is not contained in the CRM data model and it is not planned to include this data in the data model.
    Award points, if helps.
    Regards,
    Paul Kondaveeti

  • PCUI and IC Webclient

    Hi members,
I'm planning to get into CRM technical. i would really appreciate if someone could explain in what fields should I concentrate on(as in BSP, ALE.....) and how are the job prospects.
Are PCUI and IC webclient  both the same?
    Points will be rewarded!
    Thanks,
    Sunil.

    Hi Sunil,
If you are good in ABAP and you have a fair bit of understanding on how the Web Technology works then ICWebclient would be a good option to concentrate on. In all future releases IC Webclient would be interface for CRM applications. Knowledge on IC would be good for future.
PCUI and IC are not the same. The techology they use is the same BSP however functionality wise, and functionally they are different.  Please read through the document available on help.sap.com on PCUI and IC Web. You will get more idea.

  • Business partner and R3 customer mapping table

    Hi
Can anyone please tell the Mapping table in CRM and R3; where the Business partner number(CRM) and R3 customer
    number are mapped?
    Thanks in advance!!
    Ashish.

    Hi Ashish,
'CRMM_LOCMAP' is the R/3 CRM Business partner Mapping table based on APO Location.
'CRMM_BUT_CONTNO' is the outbound mapping for R/3 contact person, 'CRMM_BUT_CUSTNO' is the outbound mapping for R/3 Customer.
If you can tell me specifically what is that you are looking for, I might be able to tell the exact table.
