PDF Broadcasting through BEx

Hi Friends
We have a requirement where the user wants the Bex report in PDF format through broadcasting. The format that we are getting currently is, we are getting the Static Filters, Dynamic Filters and Variable Used information also along with the original Column, Row based report
As per the user they donu2019t want to see these Items in the PDF report and only Rows and Columns needs to be displayed without displaying the Statis Filters, Dynamic Filter, Variables etc
Please let me know if this is possible and how to achieve this

you can write an ABAP program to export the output to pdf and email.

Broadcasting through BEX analyser

Hi
I am using the bex analyser to broadcast a mail which has some 10 queries in it.
All these queries had to be restricted on 0plant and had to be sent to differant people only with their data.
So i created a authorisation for those objects and assigned to role to them and added it to their user id.
When i execute the reports manually using the t-code RSECADMIN and with the option Execute as USER NAME , i am able to see only the plants which i have restricted that user for.
But when i broadcast the same using analyser all the data is visible and the authorisation object is not working there.
Can any one let me now as to what would be the problem.

I want to send PDF File through BEx broadcasting in BI,but i am unable to see that option in Output format.
Do i need to enable any services like adobe etc.

BEx Broadcasting through e-mail

Dear Gurus,
I have a situation where, we are supposed to broadcast reports every month to the users e-mail.
Report has to be broadcasted to different users with different Cost Centers .
I have 3 selections for the report of which 2 selections are populated through CMOD and one is user i/p.
We dnt have EP so this has to be done through BEX .

I also face same situation in my past project, We can broadcast BEx Report to user.
1. Inform Basis team to includ yours and User's Mail ID in their there BW ID using SU01
2. Then tell Basis to do necessory configuration to Broadcast report using SICF and SCOT transaction.

Facing problem in Information broadcasting through BI 7.0

Hi,
I am facing problem in Information broadcasting through BI 7.0
In Web Bex Anyalzer, i selected the information bradcasting via Email.
I did all setting for Information bradcasting, in the output Format, when I select the output format as HTML or MHTML the system gives is error when i click the excute button after scheduling .
It gives an Shot DUMP on "MESSAGE_TYPE_X"
And in WEB BEX Analyzer follwing are error messages

you could try using the DDE package to open the file
and then print from the actual file location using a host command.

Can you tell me where the pdf can be found. Through a webserver or inside the database or is the pdf somewhere else?
If the pdf is available through an url you could use web.show_document which can open the url/pdf document in a new browser window.
If the pdf is inside the database you could download the pdf to the client using webutil and then open the pdf document using a host command.
If the pdf is inside the database or by a url you can also use a forms bean. I've used forms bean bean to unload a pdf from the database and show it inside the forms application. Most important when using a forms bean is that the bean component can show all the fonts which are used inside the pdf. There are some free solutions which can not show i.e. bar codes. The are also some paid components which will do the trick.

You should be able to just place them in your Books library in iTunes and check to ensure that your Book library is configured to sync to your iPod when you sync your iPod to iTunes.

Error in opening PDF generated through HAP_DOCUMENT(ESS/MSS)

Hi Experts,
User is getting an error while opening the PDF generated through "Print" functionality of appraisal document(HAP_Document).
There is a problem i'am facing in this BSP's,when i click on PRINT after creating Appraisal,it will ask me to either open or save in pdf.
But when i open or save it and open it is giving me this message in Adobe
"Acrobat could not open u2018webforms.pdfu2019 because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasnu2019t correctly decoded).
To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."
Any body please guide me with a solution.

there may have been connection problems to your content repository when you tried to view this file. I would also recommend that you apply the latest version of the Acrobat Reader. I would recommend that you run a
trace on the RFC destination to your archive and see what errors are reported when this error occurs again.

Smartform - PDF attachment through E-mail issue

Hi,
A custom form and custom program was created to print the Purchase order information through ME21N, 22n and 23n.
It also has E-mail option. when output medium 5(Simple mail) and 7(External send), email will be send to respective mail-id's with the PDF attachment.
I have issue at the time of saving PO which processed with medium 5. when i save A popup appears "Express document update was terminated received from author". Brief message about it is
"Error Info... 00 671: ABAP/4 processor: COMMIT_IN_POSTING"
In Smartform driver program i am using below function modules to convert OTF into PDF and send through e-mail.
Function Module: CONVERT_OTF.
Function Module: SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
I am not sure, what i missed out. Can you guys tell is this the correct way to send PDF attachment through E-mail or i missed out any function module for commit.

That does sound frustrating! It sounds as though the filename associations have become confused on your computer. You should be able to reset that easily. Here are some instructions:

Hi Rajesh,
In your print program, while calling OPEN_FORM, pass options-TDGETOTF = 'X'. This is used for returning print output in OTF format.
Then in CLOSE_FORM, get the table OTFDATA returned from the function module. for example
DATA: OTF_DATA LIKE ITCOO OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'
      IMPORTING
        RESULT = RESULT
      TABLES
        OTFDATA = OTF_DATA.
now you can convert this OTF data to PDF using function module CONVERT_OTF
Then send this data as attachment to a mail using function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1
