PDF - container variables in a script

Hello.
Please tell me how I can refer to the variable container PDF if they are not on the screen.
For Example:
I imported from the interface in the container table IT_TAB with fields:
FIELD01
FIELD02
FIELD03
COLOR_LINE
In the form of PDF displays a table IT_TAB with fields:
FIELD01
FIELD02
FIELD03
That is a technical field COLOR_LINE.
For example I want to change the color of rows in the table, depending on the value of the field COLOR_LINE. I write the following script:
data.#subform[1].IT_TAB.DATA::ready:layout - (JavaScript, client)
DATA.fillColor = DATA.COLOR_LINE;
But the variable is not defined COLOR_LINE. How can I get the value from the field COLOR_LINE?

Hi, Andrey!
It's difficult to guess the reason of the error without seeing your form. If it's possible for you can you show it?
If not, I would suggest the following:
1) ensure that there are no errors in another scripts with "Check script syntax" option. I usually do a simple test by clicking "Preview PDF" tab. If there are script errors, you'll get a popup notification about it.
2) does the script actually executes? As a test you can change the value of some header field inside the script.
3) do a simple test to see whether you get the value of the technical column - like $.FIELD01 = $.COLOR_LINE.
4) check the format of the colour you use. In Adobe's examples it's like "102,179,255". Maybe something's wrong with the cell type and the value you pass in the program gets corrupted?
There is a number of ways you can shoot your leg with Adobe forms. Those points to check is just what came to my mind at once

  • Error while assigning Payload to container variable, Activate SXI_Cache

    Hi experts,
I have a BPM-Szenario. There is a ContainerOperation where I want to fill a Container Variable with a Payload variable. Unfourtunately I get an error in TA sxi_cache: "The value of expression "&.....&" cannot serve as the source of an Assignment.
My question is, is it really unpossible to do this?
By the way: After them my bpm in sxi_cache is blocked. Also if i delete the container operation it is a lot of luck to activate my bpm.
My actions to activate the BPM are:
    IR - F7 = all is ok
ID - Delete IP and Create the IP new
SLD-Cache - Activate in IR and ID
SXI_Cache - Delta and Full Cache Refresh
TA SWWL - There are no error work items
All actions do have no influence to the sxi_cache.
Are there any ideas from the experts?

    Hello Mathias,
How do you assign the container varaible? Are you sure, that your XPath-expression is correct? Is your target container a simple typed container?

  • How to SIMPLY use the %DIMENSION_TO_SET% variables into logic scripts

    hello,
I'm using a prompt of type "COPYMOVE" or "COPYMOVEINPUT". In this type of prompt, there are 2 columns of dimension members list, one for defining the "source zone" and one for defining the "target zone" of logics.
The left colum of the prompt (for source zone) feeds the variables %DIMENSION_SET% : %ACCOUNT_SET%, %ENTITY_SET%, %CATEGORY_SET%, etc...and these variables can be used in the logic scripts in *XDIM_MEMBERSET instructions for example.
The right colum of the prompt feeds the variables %DIMENSION_TO_SET% : %ACCOUNT_TO_SET%, %ENTITY_TO_SET%, %CATEGORY_TO_SET%, etc...and I don't know how to SIMPLY use these variables in the logic scripts.
I've found a tricky way to do that but I meet 2 problems :
    - it is complicated
    - the multi-info instruction (BEGININFO/ENDINFO) seems to be bugged as blank lines are added all the time in the code and sometimes I have to wait for minutes when I try to modifiy the package code through BPC for excel eData/modify package menu.
So the question is how to SIMPLY get the %DIMENSION_TO_SET% variables into logic scripts and use them ? Thanks, R.
Here is the tricky package code I use at this time (I build one function for each %DIMENSION_TO_SET% variable and I pass these functions to the logic) :
    PROMPT(COPYMOVE,,,,"ACCDETAIL,ACCOUNT,CATEGORY,DATASRC,ENTITY,TIME,YEARS")
    TASK(Execute formulas,USER,WS-WW\PlauchuR)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APPSET,US)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APP,SV)
    TASK(Execute formulas,SELECTION,D:\BPC\Data\WebFolders\US\SV\PrivatePublications\PlauchuR\TempFiles\FROM_1561_.TMP)
    TASK(Execute formulas,TOSELECTION,D:\BPC\Data\WebFolders\US\SV\PrivatePublications\PlauchuR\TempFiles\TO_1561_.TMP)
    BEGININFO(%FSS%)
    *FUNCTION TARGETACCDETAIL=%ACCDETAIL_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETACCOUNT=%ACCOUNT_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETCATEGORY=%CATEGORY_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETDATASRC=%DATASRC_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETENTITY=%ENTITY_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETTIME=%TIME_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETYEARS=%YEARS_TO_SET%
    ENDINFO
    TASK(Execute formulas,FORMULASCRIPT,%FSS%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICFILE,D:\BPC\Data\WebFolders\US\SV
    ..\AdminApp\SV\_TEST.Lgf)
    TASK(Execute formulas,RUNMODE,1)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICMODE,1)
Edited by: ALEXANDRE BEDIER on Jun 16, 2010 3:15 PM

    hello,
finally I've discovered that there is no need of BEGININFO instruction.
One can pass several functions to a logic with one FORMULASCRIPT task. The functions definitions have to be separated by instructions. See below :
PROMPT(COPYMOVEINPUT,%FTARGETS%,,"select source and target zone for category and datasource.","ACCDETAIL,ACCOUNT,CATEGORY,DATASRC,ENTITY,TIME,YEARS")
    TASK(Execute formulas,FORMULASCRIPT,*FUNCTION TACCDETAIL=%ACCDETAIL_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TACCOUNT=%ACCOUNT_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TCATEGORY=%CATEGORY_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TDATASRC=%DATASRC_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TENTITY=%ENTITY_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TTIME=%TIME_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TYEARS=%YEARS_TO_SET%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,USER,%USER%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APPSET,%APPSET%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APP,%APP%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,SELECTION,%SELECTIONFILE%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICFILE,%APPPATH%\..\AdminApp\%APP%\_TEST.LGF)
    TASK(Execute formulas,RUNMODE,1)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICMODE,1)
Then one will be able to use the functions TACCDETAIL, TCATEGORY, TACCOUNT,... in the logic script.

  • Adobe Reader freezes all browsers when opening a url to a PDF containing form fields...

There is an issue we are currently experienceing with Adobe Acrobat 9 (updated to the latest version) where ALL BROWSERS (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari) on each of two different systems (a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX Leopard and a Sony Vaio Laptop with Windows Vista) where the application will freeze up and crash the browser when we view a .pdf file from a url if the .pdf file iteself contains form fields.
At first I though it may have been specific to Mac OSX and this MacBook we were trying to view the document on, but the same issue is now occuring with a new Sony Vaio laptop (running Windows Vista) as well.
It seems like it is able to open .pdf documents containing form fields when they are stored locally, but when trying to access them via a url, the program will freeze up.  Sometimes it will eventually work if you had previously opened a .pdf prior to opening it via the url link and sometimes it doesn't.  And it seems to only be related to .pdfs containing fillable form fields (others open fine when accessing them by a url)
Obviously it's become quite irratating and I'm hopeing I can find some insight on this support forum as to what may be causing this issue.
Previous versions of Acrobat (installed on the MacBook) opened this very same .pdf file (url) fine before upgrading to version 9.
Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    THanks for your interest!!
Perhaps I give the whole source code
The problem lies in the following place:
    allComponents = jspane;
    return allComponents;
I would like to use some kind of command
    allComponents.add(jspane);
but it does not seem to work. I get the error "variable allComponents might not be initialized".
The program should print images in two rows. With my current knowledge i can only print one row of images.
    Thanks!

If you remove the substitution variable and replace it with the actual value (whatever that is), does the code work? That will tell you if the issue is around the substitution variable or not.

  • Intenal table  as container variable in the alert category

    Hi
Is it possible  to create   internal table as Container Variable in the alert category. If it is possible how can we pass the data to this internal table in the Run time to the funtion module SALRT_CREATE_API.I have tried this to pass the data to the container parameter
it_container ,but i was unable to achive it .If anyone has come across this please guide me .
    Thanks and Regards,

You can use the Forms "From Clause Query" as the datasource for the data block. Then you can change the QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME using set_block_property, so you can use any SQL statement you like. Of course you must name/alias the columns in a consistent manner so that the number of database items on the block matches those being queried.

  • Using Standard Container Variables in Email Alerts from BPM

    Dear All
While creating alert categories from ALRTCATDEF we have a Long Text Tab where we can use Container  Variables like  SXMS_MSG_GUID ,SXMS_RULE_NAME, SXMS_ERROR_CAT , SXMS_ERROR_CODE etc create the mail contents.  We can also display the message passed by the BPM by using the variable
    ALERTDYNAMIC_SHORTTEXT , ALERTDYNAMIC_LONGTEXT .
In my case when I call the alert category from the BPM , the message passed by the BPM is displayed through the ALERTDYNAMIC_LONGTEXT in the alert inbox , but I am not able to utilize the other container variables (like SXMS_MSG_GUID ,SXMS_RULE_NAME, SXMS_ERROR_CAT ) for displaying the messageid ,error category etc. Using these variables for alerts invoked from BPM results in Blank Values for all the container variables.
If the alert is not invoked from BPM these variables are getting populated.
My question is is there a way by which we can utilize these variables for Alerts thrown from BPM.
    regards
    Nilesh .

  • XPATH Predicate for container variable of simple type in BPM

    Hi Experts,
I have read various threads and blogs with this topic and as I couldn't get a clear view, hence I am raising it here. In my BPM, I am collecting idocs by means of a finite loop. I have used a receive step, container step(to append the idocs) and another container(to increment the counter_variable) in a loop. I want to run the loop for the condition: counter_variable<=3 whereas 'counter_variable' is a container variable of 'simple XSD type(XSD: integer)'.
All the blogs and threads  have demonstrated like how to use the EX operator with container variable of type 'Abstract interface'. But how can i incorporate the above scenario for a container variable of simple xsd type ? Please share your ideas.
    Regards,
    Laawanya

so this is what you need to do,
    1. in your loop have a container operation that will increment your simple integer variable each time a message come in.
    2. for your loop the condition will be, left operand (simple integer variable) /= (not equal) 3 (Constant)
Ref: SAP BASIS (SWCV) -> http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns -> Integration Process -> BpmPatternCollectPayload
the only difference here will be the loop condition to be altered as i have mentioned above.

  • BPM and own container variables and their usage in transform

    Hi folks,
I have a question about the usage of own container variables within the transform step of a BPM.
I want to know whether I can get the actual content of such a container variable within the mapping being done in the transform step.
I have been looking into this forum upon related topic(s) but somehow they all seemed to go about being able to get standard values like messageID etc within the transform step and NOT about getting your own variables ... It is clear that getting those standard variables will not work directly ( not without actually getting them into an XML payload before entering the BPM) ...
So basically I want to define global BPM variables, populate them with some content during BPM execution and then at some point reference those container variables in the mapping ( prob via java code ) in a transform step ...  Is that supported ?

    no, this is not possible
you can only compare those varabiels with some of your message tags (in a loop step for example)

  • Variable in report script

Is it possible to create create user defined variables in report script?

You can't use an Essbase report script to set a substitution variable.
You can set it in EAS or use MaxL (or Esscmd) to do so.
    See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/esb_techref/maxl_variable.htm
MaxL/Esscmd can be used to set a substitution variable and run a report script that references the variable.
