PeopleSoft 9.1 - Finalized PO Reporting
Hello. We use Peoplesoft 9.1 and I need to create a query that will show me POs that have/have not been finalized. Can anyone help me find the field that I need to include in a query that shows that information? Thank you!
According to Google:
PURCHASE ORDERS
PO_HDR Purchase Order Header - Header Record for Purchase Order
PO_LINE Purchase Order Line - Line Record for Purchase Order
PO_LINE_DISTRIB PO Line Accounting Entries - Accounting Distribution for Purchase Order
PO_LINE_MATCHED PO Line Billed Amounts - Match Information for PO (Voucher, Receipt, PO)
PO_APPROVAL Purchase Order Approval - Approval Information for Purchase Order
PO_LINE_SHIP PO Line Shipping Schedule - Shipment Details for Purchase Order
Maybe PeopleBooks on Financials has more or better information.

Creating a Final Quiz - Reporting
I'm new to captivate. I have a 4-question Final Assessment. At the end of the fourth quesiton, the participant is prompted to click on the 'sumit' score. The score is emailed to me. When I open the email, the data looks like:
Core Data
"Status","Location","Raw Score","Max Score","Min Score","Time"
"passed","5","100","100","0","00:02:02"
Is there a way, in Captivate 4, for the final assessment data to be formatted so it can be read easily? Either in the body of an email, or linked to an excel spreadsheet. For example:
Participant Name: Name appears here
Course Name: Course Name Here
Date Submitted: Date Here
Final Score: Score % HereAs Lilibiri noted, the email reporting functionality is pretty limited. CP4 is really designed to reside in an LMS, if you need any real reporting.
Still, there are some options. I've developed a way to manage it with PHP + MySQL:
http://wheatblog.com/2009/04/adobe-captivate-4-storing-quiz-scores-with-phpmysql/
The above also contains a link to a way to handle it with ColdFusion + Microsoft Access:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/captivate/articles/store_cpresults_print.html
Here's another developer's method for getting the data into JavaScript:
http://pipwerks.com/2008/09/07/send-captivate-quiz-data-to-javascript/
There's also some software out there, which I've tested (can't remember the name of it at the moment), which will parse those cryptic emails into useful data which can be exported to Excel.
I'm working on expanding my solution, which currently is you only need a final score (i.e. it doesn't report the details of each interaction, just an aggregate for the entire quiz). -
PeopleSoft XML Publisher report error with java.io.FileNotFoundException
Hi,
I have created two reports using XML Publisher in Peoplesoft Financials. The two reports are not related and they were submitted for processing separately. The first report completes without any issues. The second report results in error with the following message:

The weird thing is I was able to run this report without any issues few weeks ago although another user also ran into same error. The PeopleCode step that has been identified is essentially same in the two reports. I checked the app server and the directory does exist as well as the xml files for the two reports. The problem does not occur in test environment, just in production. Any help would be appreciated.We encounter the same problem. Did you get the answer for this issue? Thanks in advance.

This is a sort of performance issue , because your program takes more than the max time set for the program to execute in foreground.
There are many stuff in program which will hamper your performance.
I will list down a few
1. SELECT *
FROM konp
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE konp_itab
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN a363_itab
WHERE knumh EQ a363_itab-knumh
in this statement you are using for all entries a363_itab , but before this statement you are not checking if the table has any entry or not , please do remember that for all entries has this characterstic , that if you internal table does not contain any record , then all the records are selected from the database table. So in this case if you table a363_itab is empty , so what you want is no data must be seelcted from table konp , but what will happen is all the records in KONP will be seelcted.
2. While retreiving data you are using seelct * even though you do not require all the fields , an example is
<b>SELECT *
FROM mkpf
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE mkpf_itab
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN mseg_itab
WHERE mblnr EQ mseg_itab-mblnr.</b>
in this your internal table contains only 2 fields
<b>mblnr LIKE mkpf-mblnr, "Number of Material Document
bldat LIKE mkpf-bldat, "Document Date in Document</b> , but to get these 2 fields you are selecting all the fields of the table.
3. In select you are using into corresponding fields of table , it is not a good practice., so please avoidd it.
Please understand that you must try to reduce the access to your database tables and try to keep it minimal , because this same thing may happen becasue data in DEV is very less compared to the volume of data in production , so a program working in DEV will take much more time in PRD if not written properly and may result in timeouts , as in your case.
Please try to make chanegs to the prorgam and see if it works.
In case you have more queries , please do revert back.

Arun

Problem with running bitmap report in Oracle 6i
Hello,
I am running a report from a form using run_product in client/server enviroment. And I use the same code in all forms that run reports. In test enviroment, everything works normally. But in customer enviroment there is weird behaviour. Some reports need a lot of time to be executed, and when they are finally finished, report previewer is not maximized as it is in test enviroment. And more important problem is that one report doesn't execute at all. Report background engine is started but report doesn't come out at all.
Here is code which I use to run reports:
declare
izvestaj varchar2(15);
pListName varchar2(20) := 'parList';
dt varchar2(6) := 'Screen';
pList paramlist;
BEGIN
izvestaj := 'EBS12';
begin
pList := get_parameter_list(pListName);
if not id_null(pList) then
destroy_parameter_list(pList);
end if;
pList := create_parameter_list(pListName);
if (not id_null(pList)) then
add_parameter(pList, 'P_PREDUZECE', text_parameter, to_char(:kontrolni.preduzece_id));
add_parameter(pList, 'P_PRENOS', text_parameter, to_char(:prenos.id));
add_parameter(pList, 'P_RAD', text_parameter, :prenos.chk_radnik);
add_parameter(pList, 'P_LOK', text_parameter, :prenos.chk_lokacija);

add_parameter(pList, 'P_BEZ_RAS', text_parameter, :prenos.bez_rasporeda);
add_parameter(pList, 'P_STATUS', text_parameter, to_char(:prenos.status));
add_parameter(pList, 'P_RAD_ID', text_parameter, to_char(:prenos.radnik_id));
add_parameter(pList, 'P_SORT', text_parameter, to_char(:prenos.redosled));
add_parameter(pList, 'PARAMFORM', text_parameter,'NO');
add_parameter(pList,'DESTYPE',text_parameter,dt);
run_product(reports, izvestaj, synchronous, runtime, filesystem, pList, null);
end if;

if (alert_button1=show_alert('cfg_error')) then null;

Is it maybe some enviroment settings problem and if yes, what should I pay attention on?

NatiHello,
When you put a block on a "new stacked canvas" that canvas is generated as a popup canvas. If that popup overlaps with some other generated items (for instance: items in master block) Forms will not show it.
You can try showing that popup canvas programatically with Show_View('canvas_name') in When-New-Form-Instance and see what happens.
Dalibor
P.S. Why do you have to put detail block on a popup canvas? Why don't you simply put it on a "same content canvas"? -
Issue in the report after bookmarking it
Hi Experts,
We have WAD reports built on 3.X Query Designer.
The issue here is:
The filter values are getting deleted after bookmarking in a report.
For Ex:
There are 10 employees displaying in a report and I have filtered 2 employees (using employee number on Employee variable) out of 10. After that if I click on bookmark button a new URL is getting generated but the filter on employees is getting deleted and finally the report is showing 10 employees and not 2.
Note:
The issue is happening only for this Employee variable and if I do the same process on other variables they are working fine after bookmarking.
If you have any idea on how to resolve this issue then kindly share me.
Chandra.Add &VARIABLES_CLEAR = FALSE to end of the URL
or Check in your WAD for the following commands and add this command at the bottom as shown below.
<object>
<param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
<param name="CMD" value="SET_PROPERTIES"/>
<param name="TEMPLATE_ID" value=""/>
<param name="VARIABLES_CLEAR" value=""/> -
BPC 10.1 - dump in unified model when I try to open System Reports
Hi, we use BPC 10.1 unified and every time when try to use "System Reports" it dumps. I can select e.g. BPF Activity Report and Templates -> Template Verions -> Instances and finally "Display Report" but there is no result besides the endless loading screen. Is there a certain web Service that has to be activated first? Thx for any hint
Hi Christian,
Which connection type did you use in EPM Add-in? Please take a look at note 2002609 - RUBPC101N: EPM connection error message: No connection
extension has been discovered for the ConnectionClass 'Firefly_BW' . It might resolve your issue.

Crystal Report Viewer Not viwed - Through APP Server Re-Direction
Hello Team
I have a critical problem in my organizaion for viewing the reports.
Configuration that we are using:
1. Windows Server 2008 R2
2. Crystal 13 - Server Trial Version - Expiring on Aug-25th, 2014
3. Used Visual Studio 2010 - .NET
4. IIS 7.0 - configured a Virtual Directory for ASP.NET application
Out Application is using an Oracle APP Server to view the HTML. A button is provided in the HTML to redirect to view the Crystal Report.
when I click on the Hyperlink and the url is directly accessed, then the Report is being shown without any issue.
But ours is a corporate application and we have given a provision of accessign this application when users are outside of network. Hence the Crystal Server is under fire-wall. So, I cannot access it directly with a URL. Hence the app server is configured in such a way that if it find a name like "Reports" in the URL, then it redirects to the actual Web Server and gets back the data to the browser.
for URL redirection, the app server is configured as below
ProxyPass /crystalreportviewers/ http://<<ServerIP>>/crystalreportviewers/
ProxyPassReverse /crystalreportviewers/ http://<<ServerIP>>/crystalreportviewers
ProxyPass /reports10/ http://<<ServerIP>>/reports10/
ProxyPassReverse /reports10/ http://<<ServerIP>>/reports10
When the user redirects from the APP server using those redirection rules, the pages are being executed but the final crystal report viewer control is not being shown on the browser. I am not sure if we need to perform any other steps to get these thigns done.
Our server is behind fire-wall and whenever I am in network, I used to get the output but when the redirection happens not able to load the Crystal Report Viewer. Not sure, if there are any other security rules that I need to consider to get back the CrystalReportViewer.
Also, there is something called CrystalReportInteractiveViewer prior to Crystal13. Do we have anything as such in Crystal 13 also? Please help me in getting this worked.
Please let me know if I am not clear in my explanation and I can certainly provide you a better information based on your queries.
Thanks

How do i access multiple bex queries in one crystal reports??
Hello Experts,
I have 10 cubes and 30 bex queries on it and i need to create 3 final crystal reports on these 30 queries.
I am on BI 4.0 & CR 2011. but my client is not on correct SAP patch ie., he is on 15+ but he must be on 23+ to access multiple bex queries on CR 2011 Database expert. (I am unable to see bex queries in Database expert to link couple of bex queries)
And my client env doesnt have SAP EP for SAP BW Netweaver Connection to create a connection to access cubes or queries in IDT.
Do my client env need EP? so that SAP BICS Connection will work in IDT?
How do i approach to achive this...
Thank you...Hi,
have you checked the option "allow external access" in your query? SAP Toolbar will find all queries but the database export needs this flag to be set.
Using multiple queries within one crystal report is using the "multi database join feature" of crystal reports. You can link your queries by key fields and crystal will join them in memory. So when there are many queries or many datarows this can be a huge performance killer.
Actuallly one of our customers is running a report which has more than 20 BEx queries linked together. It runs just fine.
Please be sure to set your joins correctly. E.g. crystal will try to make a join on the "key figures" sturcture if you let it create a suggestion or it will try to link on all fields of an infoobject. This will bring MDX errors.
So you should be setting your joins correctly - the [infoobject]-[20infoobject] fields are fine for that.
I hope you can use some of my words.

How to add a comment for each row on the output of a report?
I would like to add a comment (field) for each row on the output of report? This comment should to be saved as well. Is there a way i can do that?
Regards,
RamHi Dimitri,
through the instead of trigger functionality i am able to update the view. This is view is based on different views which should be linked to a table (as you suggested) in which comments can be stored. Hower this table is empty and how to link this table with the view now? I face the following challenge.
View consists the following columns, for example
select name, sex, age from test_view
name sex age
John M 20
Anton M 30
Willy M 40
shirley F 38
sharon F 37
The report has the following output, for example
name sex age
John M 20
Anton M 30
Willy M 40
Shirley F 38
Sharon F 37
Now i would like to add comment through a button.
The report layout looks like
name sex age
John M 20 <add comment button>
After submitting the <add comment button> you can enter text which deals with John
text='John doesnot like me'
Finally the report display the comment as well
name sex age
John M 20 'John doesnot like me' <update/delete comment button>
Anton M 30 <add comment button>
Willy M 40 <add comment button>
Shirley F 38 <add comment button>
Sharon F 37 <add comment button>
After submitting the <update/delete button> you can change or delete the entered text.
I hope this example clears things up.

Profit center group number on the report painter report.
Hi,
We have a client requirement where we have to develop Profit center by Functional Area report by using report painter report functionality, however we are able to bring profit center group description on to the report as per the requirement, but not able to get profit center group number displayed on the report.
Can anyone please advice me if we can get the Profit center group number displayed on the report in Report painter report. Else let me know if we can get the requirement met by an ABAPER.Hi.
First of all, through transaction GS01 create a set ID for profit centers.
Give table GLPCT, let the set type be the default (basic set) and give field name RPRCTR. Then define the range of profit centers you want. If you want all the profit centers give * in the "from value field".
Then create a variable through transaction GS11. Give table and field as above, choose variable type set and at the default set field choose the set you created.
Finally, at report painter go to Edit/General Data Selection and select profit center.
Check both flags (for entering sets and variables) and give at the form field the variable you've made.
Now the progit center group will be available in the selection screen with default value the set you've made.

FIRST AND THIRD TABLE IS CONNECTED WITH THE FIELD AUFNR.
THIRD AND FOURTH TABLE IS CONNECTED WITH FIELD PERNR.
like this 4 tables are connected.
THERE ARE 4 SELECT-OPTIONS IN SELECTION SCREEN I.E
PERNR(EMP PERSONAL NO)
ERDAT(DATE OF JOINING)
BUKRS(COMPANY CODE)
AUFNR(NO OF SERVICE ORDERS)
NOW I WANT THE REPORT AS
IF WE ENTER THE PERSONAL NO
THEN THE O/ P COLUMNS SHOULD BE LIKE THIS
1. SNAME(EMP NAME)(FROM 4TH TABLE),
2 PERNR(EMP PERSONAL NO)(FROM 3RD AND 4TH TABLE)
3 COUNT THE NO OF AUFNR FOR EACH PERNR.
4 SUM THE ISMNW FOR EACH PERNR.
IN THE MNGRP COLUMN OF VIQMMA TABLE THERE ARE 4 TYPES OF ENTRIES LIKE FMJS,FMJF,FMCS,FMST AND THEIR CORRESPONDING VALUES IN MNCOD COLUMN OF VIQMMA TABLE
5 NOW I WANT THE 4 COLUMNS WITH SUM OF FMJS,FMJF,FMCS,FMST FOR EACH PERNR IN THE REPORT.
FINALLY THE REPORT SHOULD BE LIKE THIS.
SNAME PERNR COUNT OF AUFNR SUM OF ISMNW SUMOF FMJS SUMOF FMJF SUMOF FMCS SUM OF FMST.
KINDLY DO THE NEEDFUL.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.Hi,
Welcome to SDN Forum.
since you know how to extract the data from different tables, you can populate your internal table from them.
Now for calulating sum you can directly use SUM event of LOOP-ENDLOOP on that table.
This will provide you with the sum of the integer/currency fields.

Amit

Report limits for individual tests
Hi All
I have a system under test which I interrogate (via RS232) for embedded hardware and firmware information. The reported response has to be added to the final test report along with all the other specified test cases.
e.g.
Operator: xyz
Date: xyz
UUT Type: xyz
Serial Number: xyz
PTS 2.1 Embedded H/W (Processor) 12345 version A 12345 version A
PTS 2.1 Embedded H/W (Amplifier) 23456 version B 23456 version B
PTS 2.1 Embedded H/W (Filter) 34567 version c 34567 version c
PTS 2.1 Embedded H/W (Pre-Amp) 45678 version D 45678 version D
PTS 2.2 12V OFF Current 2.1mA 5 LT
PTS 2.2 12V ON Current 250mA 300 LT
etc
etc
The only way I can think of to get the information into the main body of the report is to perform a 'String Value' test on it. However I then get the limits displayed in the report as well making the final report look messy. I do need all the limits in the report for the usual test cases e.g. voltages, currents etc so I cannot turn off limit reporting in the configuration report options.
Is there a way to turn OFF the limits reporting for individual test cases?

IanRWhat version of TestStand are you using?
You could change the step to an 'Action' step and put the RS232 string in the report text for the step? It depends on how your report options are setup in your environment. Where I work, we do not put any Action steps in the report just Pass Fail results. Hence you would have to change the Status Expression for your Action step to something other than "Done"....
Otherwise in TestStand 4.0, you can click on the Property Browser view under the Properties Tab. Right Click on the Limits container and select 'Advanced -> Edit Flags'
Within that box there is an option 'Is Limit' checked, perhaps by unchecking this option it will not be put in the report. Although I would NOT do this, because it is difficult for anyone taking over your code ( unless you document you changed this flag ) to see that it is unchecked.
Thanks,
