Period& Organisation view

Hi,
I have requirement that i need to hide all the organisation views(direct suborinates,all org units...) and periods(today,current year...) in SAP MSS reporting.
I just want to display only today for period and organisation view as all employees.
Can anyone suggest me how to do this configuration?

Hello Usha,
Check the iView parameters, you will find an OADP selection group which is used to allow the selections, and parameters for the time settings.
However, consider instead using the POWL framework for MSS reporting - it's a lot nicer than the WebGUI rendering of the SAP GUI report.

You can use report painter to achieve this. Use t-code FGI4 for the same and design the same report as per your requirement.

Pse 11 organiser view screen background colour

Am I able to change the background colour of the view screen in PSE 11 organiser? The current background is grey, which isn't a great colour to optimise viewing images. Black would be better.

You can only do it in the Editor within a tab or floating window. Right click on any gray area surrounding an open image.

Using PS Elements 11 on a Mac how can one replicate Finder folders in the Elements Organiser view?

Hi all - I have found the Organiser folder structure quite confusing and it does not seem to replicate the Finder folder structure other than randomly, unlike Bridge in PS for PC which I also use.
I would love to be able to create folders in elements or simply do so in Finder and find them show up in elements Organiser. It seems to me that only once I have saved an image to a folder in the Finder does it show up in the Organiser folder view. Is this correct?
Any suggestions around a sensible workflow or approach here would be most welcome, thanks. Sean

Many thanks Andaleeb - yes I have tried that and it seems only to add to the confusion - folders which in the Finder clearly show all my images are blank in PSE Organiser with the statement that they still have to be imported into PS Organiser. I guess that may be my fault because, due to the problems in locating files in Organiser I right clicked on them in the Finder and said 'open with PSE'. So in effect I bypassed PSE Organiser. But one would still have hoped that the folder hierarchy would be the same in Organiser and the Finder. Very confusing! I have never seen a program deal with folders etc in the way PSE does.

Balance sheet in two diff. period wise view

Dear Experts,
Good Morning !
MY company is in India but the mother company situated in France. We have implemented SAP in India as Indian localisation and fiscal year set as April to March. Now in France Database I wanted to see balance sheet in two different period wise, first January to Dec. and secondly April To March.
So how should I close my Period End closing so that I can see Balance sheet in both diff. periods.
Any suggestion on this matter will b highly appreciated.

Having different folders with different organisation views.

hi. at the moment all my folders will change to 'date added' or 'name' if i change one.
i want certain folders to display files in different ways so that when i open them they always display in this way.
is this possible?

Yes, open the folder and select the viewing style you desire. Go to the View menu -> Show View Options (⌘ J). Select "Always open in XXXX view" at the top of the View Options window.

Periodic Problem Viewing Videos in Course

We have a course in iTunesU that uses a lot of videos. I'm viewing segments of a lot of those videos on an iPad (first generation) to do some maintenance work on the course. After a day or so of this kind of activity, I can no longer view the videos. I can get to the video play screen where the video should start playing automatically, but the video stops every split second. Selecting the "play" button results in the video immediately stopping again. Videos in a different course (not so video-intensive) work as exxpected. A hard power-off does not solve the problem. The last two times this happened, I deleted iTunesU from the iPad and reinstalled, and that fixed it for another day or so. It's a problem that feels like a memory leak one.
Anybody else seen anything like this? Or have ideas about what might be going on?

You're correct to avoid Flash when practical.
Flash is being phased out by most sites that use it in favor of HTML5 page code. That is sites that rely heavily on video and not the millions of Flash based ads.
But if the page is coded to use Flash then without the plug-in you can't view it. Doesn't matter how much you don't want Flash to be installed. Many files will not be converted to HTML5 code.

Organisation View

Helo All,
Main problem what I have is that I m not getting all the sales areas available for selection while creating Business Partner.
in PPOMA_CRM, we have created Org Unit manually in CRM, and assigned Tupels and Divisions and Distribution channels manually at Attribute's tab.
I m suspecting that we should be getting the view as show in the screenshot. but we are not getting that view. Can someone please let me know how i can get the view shown in the screenshot?

Check the following customizing, here you can active or not the division:
SPRO --> Customer Relationship Management --> Master Data --> Organizational Management --> Division Settings --> Define Use of Division and Dummy Division
In PPOMA_CRM, Choose the Obj Permitted in Determination on the Attribute tab.

Period in Personal view in SEM Balanced Scorecards

Hi all
I have a problem regarding Personal Views in SEM Balanced Scorecards. I have saved some Personal views, so that I can easily find the drilldown and selection I am interested in. The problem is, that the views are saved with the period initially selected, and when time passes, and I enter a new period, the views still contain the period initially saved, so I have to change alle views manually. Does anybody know how to make the period dynamic, so that saved views always shows current period?

Images viewed in elements organiser appear over saturated compared with acr or editor

Hi,
I've been struggling with this for some time now. When veiwing images in elements organiser (10) the images have started appearing more saturated than in either adobe camera raw or photoshop elements editor window. They used to always match. I've tried reseting all the colour presets, I've tried changing every setting I can find in acr and I've resorted to a full re-install of elements (including deleting the presets). None of thise have solved the problem.
I'm pretty sure it is the organiser view which is over saturated rather than acr / photoshop which is washed out as, although mostly quite subtle, sometimes the colours are pushed much too far. (I'm only describing it as saturation as that's how it looks - I couldn't say for sure that it is acutally a saturation setting rather than some other colour setting which is causing the issue).
Every so often organiser updates it's images as I veiw them to match acr but I've not noticed any one reason why that happens - and if I shut organser down and restart it's back to over saturation again.
Any suggestions would be greatfully recieved,

Thanks for getting back to me. You're right - it would seem that if I have every thing set to always optimize for computer screens then everything looks the same. Ideally I wouldn't have that set though - the photos are all taken with adobe RGB colour space and we are more given to big prints than sharing on screen.
This never used to be a problem and I've always previously optimised for printing. The pictures are definitley adobe RGB and checking in canon DPP the raw veiw there is the same as ACR so it is the initial organizer colouring which is at fault. I would rather use optimize for printing as we tend to make big prints from our photos rather than sharing electronic albums. Following the suggestion I've done some more playing with settings and found the following situations:
1) If opening organizer when set to optimize for printing the image opens with the wrong colouring. Changing to optimze for screen and update thumbnial and the colouring corrects. Changing back to optimize for printing update thumbnail and any subsequent changes and the colouring stays correct.
2) If opening organizer when set to optimize for computer screens orgainzer opens showing the right colouring. Chaning to optimize for printing and update thumbnail causes the colouring the change. Changing back to optimize for screen and the image corrects it's self. Changing back to optimize for printing and any subsequent changes and the colouring stays correct.
So in summary the first thumbnail viewing optimized for printing is over satuarated / vivid. Changing colourspace away and back seems to correct the problem.
If the colouring is correct for one photo it will update to be correct for any other images viewed.
If there is a way to make optimized for printing photos display correctly on first opening that would be great.

Home sharing - view format for other users tunes

When I home share with another user's tunes, I can't get a fully organised view format (e.g. under "view" menu, sort by list, cover flow etc are greyed out). I can only get a single long list which is pretty-not-useful... It looks like this is the only way to go, but does anyone know how to get a fully featured and formatted view of another library? Thx M

Store the media files somewhere other than the standard location. Other users cannot access the files if they are stored in the standard location. Example c:\itunes media
Within each users login, set the library location to the location you want. Each user can access all the files and the library for each user will be different.
My wife and I do this with an external drive on our home network.

Problems with using view in a WAD report

Dear experts,
I have created a WAD templete for accounts recievables. It is based on a query which shows a graph of top 5 customers and a table which shows the total recievables. Both the graph and the table are based on the same query. While the graph is based on the query, the table is based on a particular view of that query. While the graph shows the correct result for any period, the view was showing a wrong value. I just saved the view again and it started showing correct result. I would like to know if the view takes the date of its creation as a key date. Do i need to remove the view and create a query to show total recievables? Or is there anything other than this I might be doing worng? Please guide. Thanks a lot.

Sumit,
Try running the view directly in BEx Analyzer. Are the results in line with the web?
Try calling teh web report with the variable screen and check the date value being used.

Can sales organisation be cancelled in a material master

I am working for a foreign client where i have extended material in a wrong sales organization . Now i want to lock the material for that sales organization only , so that no changes can be done to the material master using the aforesaid distribution chain , no sales order , and billing can generate using the material with the wrong distribution chain.

Hello Sanjib,
I suggest that in order to avoid of any sales order for that material with respect to sales organisation, you need to activate total BAN under distribution status.
Check whether if you maintain sale statuses and if not You need to first define sales statuses under folowing customization path:
SPRO>>Logistics - General>>Material Master>>Settings for Key Fields>>Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution>>Define Sales Statuses
Then,Go to MM02>>Enter the material number & Plant
Now go to Sales organisation View-1;
Enter your relevant sales organisation and under DChain-spec. status mark it for Total Ban and fill the valid from Date there
So that no sales order will be created for this material with respective to that relavant sales organisation

Planned Orders Are Being Created In The Future Period (About Six Months onw

Dear All,
We are facing a problem that when we execute the product heuristics for a particular location - item, planned orders are not getting generated as per the demand element in the current period but they are getting generated in future period say six months from now... We could NOT understand that Why the system is pushing the orders in future period. We have checked the following parameters :
Calendar is active for the period upto DEC"2012.
Time Streams have been genereted for the particular resource.
Resource(s) do exist in Live Cache.
Sufficient capapcity is available in the current period (as viewed from the resource planning table).
Please advise that what other parameters should be checked in order to get the planned orders in current period. In this regard, we shall like to confirm that we are facing this issue since last 8 - 10 days, earlier, there was NOT such an issue.

Hi Sanjeev,
Did you maintain any value for planning time fence, and if yes, how big is it? This could be one possible reason why system is not able to plan the orders (also depends on what Heuristics you are using).
In RRP3, double click on your planned orders and check out the start date and the end date. Is your start date also lying in the future, or is it that due to long time in your operations (somehow your PDS/PPMs got messed up?), orders availability got pushed to the future.
I am not an expert in PPDS, but I can only think of different lead times coming into picture which could possibly push your planned orders availability to the future.

Thumbnails showing in PSE7 Organiser

I have been a user of Photoshop Elements now for many years and currently run PSE7. I have had a problem just occur than I have never seen before. When I look at the Organiser view with more than a few photos across I get an hourglass instead of the photo shown. If I reduce the number of photos across the photos do show, but when I increase the number again it is back to the hourglass. I tried importing some new photos but these also do the same ie hourglass shown. It is not all the photos in my organiser, only about the last 10. I have over 51K photos in PSE7 all up.
Hopefully somebody can help me. Last time I used PSE7 I did not have this problem although I have been using Premiere Elements 7 quite a bit since I last used PSE7, not sure if this has corrupted something.
