Persistent messages from a stranger.

I'm getting messages from "wynnbailey268". They're blocked and the explanation shown is "You are currently blocking messages from users who are not in your contact list. To communicate with this user you will need to either add them to your contacts or change your privacy settings."
I delete them but they keep coming back. Are there phishing issues with messages (which I don't use) or is this a danger sign relating to the recent Yahoo server hacking?

You need to sign out of Yahoo messenger, and you should get no more messages.

  • JMS - remove persistent messages from memory

    Hi,
I have a problem with RAM and JMS. I have to store many JMS-messages (overall size
of more than 2GB). By default they are stored in RAM and in the database.
How can I configure WL not to store all messages in RAM.

Do you mean Time to Live Override value that we set in Overrides tab for the jms queue.Yes. Time to Live override can be used for that purpose.
Do all messages get stored in persistent (file)store while a jms server is up or only the messages with certain status like "Pending" get stored in jms.If yes,do the >pending messages get automatically deleted once the messages are read by the client application. All persistent messages gets stored in the jms store which includes messages in Messages Current ( status - visible ) state.
Some of the non persistent messages which gets paged out to free physical memory also end up in the store.
Messages get deleted from the store, but file stores doesn't relieve the disk space to OS after deleting ie file stores never shrink in size automatically. You can even end up with a huge file store even though no messages are pending in any of the queues under it.

  • Mail not getting all messages from server and other strange behavior

    Hello All,
Mail has been doing some odd things for me of late (at least the last week) and I'm lost for a solution to my problem. As far as I can tell, perhaps my Prefs. have become corrupted, or at least something in relation to Mail has become corrupted. Perhaps someone has a solution to this issue before I have to back it all up and NUKE the whole **** app to get back up and running properly.
The main issue I appear to be having is that Mail is not getting all of my Mail messages from my server. I can log into my web-mail interface provided by my domain host and can see there that there are many e-mails that don't appear to be coming down the pipe to the Mail.app client. I'm getting some e-mail's but not all....
*Here are all the things that I've checked:*
    • The missing e-mails are not being picked up as Junk and are not in the Junk folder
    • I have done a search within Mail for the missing e-mail's and nothing turns up anywhere.
    • I have checked on the server end that I'm not maxing out my InBox or that there are any other service issues from my domain host provider.
    • I have been into Prefs and checked my account settings - most (see below) of which appear to be as normal and are fine.
*Here are the weird things that I've noticed:*
    • When I went into the Prefs. for the account in question, I noticed that my login had changed. For example - it usually it is "[email protected]", however it had seemed to have changed to just "johndoe" - I know this wasn't me as my domain host will not allow me to access any mail unless the login is the full mail address.
    • In RULES, every rule I double click to check on seems mostly fine, apart from the fact that every "Account is:" the pull down menu just appears as blank. Usually it says "Account is: ([email protected])"
It's there last 2 items that make me think something is corrupted - so I guess my question is, what pref or file has corrupted and how can I fix it without having to give Mail.app a digital enema?
Any assistance would be most helpful - missing some but not all your incoming e-mail messages is quite annoying, as you can guess...!
    Thanks,
    Boz

    Hello Boz.
This appears to be a rules issue. Mail is almost certainly downloading those messages, but they’re probably being processed by your rules in an unexpected way — given the information you’ve provided, maybe because there is something wrong with the file where the account settings are stored.
Do you have any Mail plug-ins? In the Finder, go to each of the following folders (if they exist). What do you see there?
    /Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/Mail/Bundles/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/
To make accurately reporting this information easier, you may open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal, type the following command (you can just copy it here and paste it in Terminal), and press <Return>. You can then copy the output of that command from Terminal and paste it in your reply to this post:
    ls -1 /Library/InputManagers /Library/Mail/Bundles ~/Library/InputManagers ~/Library/Mail/Bundles
    <hr>
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all the filesystem issues, if any, and ensuring that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
    1. Write down your Mail > Preferences > Accounts settings or take screen shots of them.
    2. If you have a .Mac account and .Mac synchronization of Mail data is enabled either in Mail > Preferences > General or in System Preferences > .Mac, disable it before proceeding.
    3. Quit Mail.
    4. Make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong while trying to solve the problem. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the Mail folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is locally stored.
    5. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Preferences/. Locate com.apple.mail.plist and move it to the Desktop (to be deleted if this solves the problem). If you have a backup of your data that includes a working copy of this file, you may try restoring it from the backup to avoid steps 6-8.
    6. Open Mail. You’ll have to set up your non-.Mac accounts from scratch all over again. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don’t. Just enter the account information and Mail will automagically rediscover the data in ~/Library/Mail/ when done.
    7. You’ll have to re-configure some of your Mail > Preferences settings. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
    8. As a side effect of re-creating com.apple.mail.plist, Mail might rename Outbox (which is where messages waiting to be sent are stored) to Delivered. The name of that mailbox is actually a misnomer, as it would contain messages (if any) that couldn’t be delivered for some reason. You can delete that mailbox if you wish.
    9. If the problem is fixed now and .Mac synchronization of Mail data was enabled at the beginning, enable it again, go to System Preferences > .Mac > Advanced, click Reset Sync Data, and choose the appropriate options to reset the Mail data stored on the .Mac server with the data locally stored on the computer, i.e. sync data must flow from the computer to the .Mac server.
    <hr>
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

  • Removal of messages from persisted store

              Hi,

Ah. Yes, I understand this use case. We are keeping it in mind
for the future. The future solution may involve simply sending
a duplicate message to another destination in the same
transaction. The adminstrative interface might simply
be something like an "ArchiveDestination" parameter on the
original destination's configuration. Would that be sufficient?

              I agree.

Well pub/sub can address this issue. The drawback is that a durable
subscriber is not the same as a queue - only one consumer can use
              it a time.
              >
              > The long and the short of it, in my case, is that I've now reimplemented

With WL, you can use standard JMS pub/sub to replicate messages
and then use a messaging bridge to forward a subscription to a queue.
This, of course, does not give great performance, but many applications
are not sensitive to JMS performance.
Another approach is to have senders send two messages, one to a
pub/sub "monitoring" topic and one to the queue. Optionally
using a transaction to ensure that it is atomic. Again, this is
              not a great performer.

  • While my friend was setting up his iphone, i used my icloud. So now, when i send him a message i get the exact same message from myself. How do i fix this?

While my friend was setting up his iphone because i had recently updated it for him he needed a itunes account to use for "bump" so i could transfer his contacts back. So i used my itunes and icloud account to sign in so he could download that because he didnt have any of those accounts. So when i logged in he was basically me, my name was his phones name aswell. Well i used "bump" his name was the same as mine. I got the contacts to work but now every time i send him a text message, (imessage) i get the exact same message from myself. How to i unverify him off of my icloud so i can be the only one using it?

The fact that the problem only occurs when iphones are texting you leads me to think that iMessage may be the culprit. The fact that it is only iphones using SPRINT however is weird. Try turning imessage off on both yours and your sons phones to see if the problem persists. If it does, it may be a carrier problem.

  • How can I send a message from database to a J2EE application?

How can I send a message from database to a J2EE application?
If I have a codetable in database that has new or modified values I have to refresh the codetable in my J2EE application.
Most effective way would be send a message to initiate a table reload from J2EE app, but I don't know how to do this.
Now I have a background thread that regular reads the table and looks for changes.

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/TechNotes/TechNote_BAM_AQ_Configuration.pdf
This document details how to create triggers on a table that send out JMS messages.
In this example, the messages are going to Oracle BAM.. your message could go to your J2EE application listening to its own topic/queue.
    an alternative idea.
you could also just cache your lookup table with something like Oracle Coherence and than try to ensure that all changes to the lookup go through Coherence, so that you won't need to do notification from the db up to the application. the application and the lookup data management tool would be using the data grid for management of the lookup table data, and the data grid (coherence) would persist the lookup data changes back to the db.

  • Is there any tools for move messages from errorqueues in WLS 8.1.5?

    Hello!
I have created a JMSDestination (MyQueue) in my wls 8.1.5.
I have also created an other JMSDestination (MyErrorQueue) in my wls 8.1.5.
In the wls it is possible to specify an "Error Destination:" for a JMSDestination. In my wls I have specified MyErrorQueue as error destination for MyQueue.
If anything goes wrong during consuming message from MyQueue the message will be moved to the error destination MyErrorQueue.
If this situation ever occur, for eg. there is a cable connection loss or something. The error destination will save me alot of trouble.
              Very nice!
But now I wonder if there is any tool or function i wls 8.1.5 that helps me move the message back to MyQueue from the error destination, MyErrorQueue, when the problem is solved.? For eg, when the broken cable is replaced.
Or do I have to write such a application my self? Seems strange since the concept of error destination exists.
              Best regards

    Have a look at this
              http://www.hermesjms.com/confluence/display/HJMS/Home
We use it and it works very well for handling messages on error queues.
Some messages we automatically re-queue using a modified version of this
              code here

  • Error message from labview when trying to set up the DAQ assistant

I recieve a message from labview when I try to set up the DAQ assistant and select a channel to use. The error I get states "An exception occured within the external code called by a Call Library Node. This might have corrupted LabView's memory. Save any work to a new location and restart labview". Labview then freezes. I have reset the DAQ device in trying to slove this but I still get the same message. How do I solve this?? thanks - mars2006

    Hi Mars-
It sounds like your NI-DAQ installation may have become corrupted. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the DAQmx 7.4 driver to correct this problem and ensure that you're up to date. This download is available here: NI-DAQ 7.4
If the problem persists you may want to uninstall and reinstall LabVIEW and then NI-DAQ in that order. The error message will usually give an indication as to which VI the error occurred in. Please let us know which VI is failing if you're unable to avoid the error with these suggestions.

  • Mail 8.2 Sending Messages from Wrong Email Account

This has been happening more often than not lately on the Mail 8.2 app. It's driving me crazy, and really messing up my business since I have a professional email (using Outlook) and a personal email (Gmail).
Both email accounts are setup on my Mac Mail. What has been happening is that when I write an email with my professional email (Outlook) and hit send everything seems fine and it will send (like it should!). It shows up in my sent messages in the Mac Mail app under my Outlook account and everything, great!... Oh, but the thing is, it doesn't really send from my Outlook account.
When I log into my Outlook account on my web browser, the email is not shown to have been sent. But, When I log into my Gmail account on the web... What?! There is the message in my Gmail sent folder! How??? It has my signature from my Outlook account and everything. To add to the strangeness, when I look at my Mail app on my iPhone, it says that the email was sent from my Gmail, and not my Outlook...
So, Mail on my Mac says sent from intended email account (Outlook), but in reality it somehow gets magically sent from my personal Gmail account... and shows up on the webpages and my iPhone as sent form Gmail... This doesn't happen every time. Just when Mail feels like it I guess, HA!
This is frustrating. Since it doesn't happen all the time, I never know if people are getting my emails, but I finally got the fluke to happen with a friend. Voila, in fact when this happens even though it's being sent in Mail though my Outlook account, my friend receives the email from my Gmail account with my Outlook signature...
What is going on? Is anyone else having this issue?
I need my personal and professional messages synced to my iPhone and Mac, or I would just say good riddance to the Mac Mail app.
I will just have to start sending my professional messages form the Outlook webpage until this is fixed. This is really unprofessional Apple. I never had this issue prior to Yosemite.
Hope this made since, it's the best I can make of it.
    Thanks!

From the Mail menu bar, select
              Mail ▹ Preferences...
The Mail preference dialog opens. Select the Composing tab from the row of icons at the top. From the menu labeled
              Send new messages from:
    choose
              Account of selected mailbox
Note that this setting may have no effect if you start a new message while a VIP or smart mailbox is selected in the mailbox list. Those are saved searches, not actual mailboxes.
If the problem remains, select the Accounts tab in the preference dialog, then select the affected account in the list on the left.
In the Account Information pane, select the correct server in the menu labeled
              Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
If there's only one server in the menu, select
              Edit SMTP Server List...
and add a new server with the correct settings. If you're not sure how to do that, try the Mail Settings Lookup.
Another possibility is that the wrong card in your address book is selected as yours. Select your card in the Contacts application. Then select
Card ▹ Make This My Card
    from the menu bar.

  • At 3AM, within seconds, there were two attempts at using an "incorrect password" with my AppleID. The message from Apple was that it was probably a harmeless error. Seconds later, the third attempt worked, and that was the last my email has worked.Next???

At 3AM, there was one attempt at entering my AppleID password, which failed per the email message. A few seconds later, a second attempt failed and the email message from Apple was that it was probably a mistake caused by someone entering a wrong keystroke when trying to enter their own password. Well,, a few seconds later, the message was that I had successfully changed my password. Great.
Yes, it was a full twelve hours later that I saw this, since 3AM is a perfect time to hijack anyone, and I did do what it said about changing my password. But I want to know how someone changed my password at 3AM and had total access to my whole computer. My security is the highest Apple has.
Mostly, that was the LAST email I've gotten. I can't bring email online. I can't do anything.
I am mostly computer ignorant, which is why my daughter made me get an Apple in the first place. I love Apple. Any ideas at all the damage done? This seems like a big hole in Apple email. I am absolutely sure no one knew the password because I used a sequence I have never told anyone. Even my ex-husband of 35 years would have no clue.
Did someone have to know that password? Is there another way? Well, I guess so.
    Help. Those emails are critical.

Well if someone got access to your AppleID, they didn't get access to your computer, however, there is some information such as you iCloud information that they may have gotten access to.  If you changed your pasword back to something else, then they won't have access to it anymore either.  I'm not sure what is going on though because I have been getting a lot of those emails on my work AppleID that I have to have for work because I need to keep their phone seperate from all of my personal equipment.  It's just strange though that in the past few days I've been getting like 5 or 6 of those emails stating that an attempt was made to change my pasword a day.

Hi, I'm developing some reports using Crystal XI on my local PC, using an Oracle 10i back end on a separate server.  The SQL for the report is in a method in an oracle package.
When I set the datasource location, selecting 'Oracle Server' then entering the details works fine, and the report runs.  However, when I try to use an ODBC connection I get the following error:
Database Connection Error: 'Cannot obtain error message from server.'
The ODBC link is set up as a System DSN, which works fine when I test it.  I think I need to use ODBC as some of the reports (which I inherited) seem to fail when run on the Crystal Server, and it seeme to be the ones set up with ODBC which work.
    Any thoughts?  Thanks.

  • Sending Messages from Integration Processes

    Dear All,
I have a problem in that my client wishes to send a message from XI via the Send Step in a BPM to a Proxy call on the target SAP system (ECC 6.0), the only problem is, is that they wish to monitor that all iDocs generated achieved a set percentage success rate < %80, if this is the case then the next message is sent from within the same BPM and so on until all 3 messages are successfully sent. If anyone of the 3 messages fail for whatever reason, the whole process must abort. Does anyone have a suggestion how this might be possible whilst retaining message persistance ?

  • Weblogic 10.3 Not Removing Expired Messages from JMS Queues

    Dear All,
We have an application that is running on Weblogic 10.3.
This application (let us call this application Y) receives messages on a JMS queue. These messages are placed on the queue by another application (let us call this application X). We would like to have these messages expire within a certain amount of time (i.e. 90000 ms) if they are not consumed.
Now when application X places the messages onto the queue for application Y to consume, the JMS producer sets the time to live to 90000 ms. We can see that expiration time has been set appropriately in the weblogic console. If a message sits on the queue for longer than 90000 ms the state string of the message is changed to "receive expired". What we don't understand is why the expired messages still end up being consumed from the queue.
We understand that Weblogic is supposed to have an 'Active Message Expiration' thread that will remove expired messages from the queue. The Expiration Scan Interval for the JMS Server is set to 30 (seconds).
Can anyone tell us why our expired messages don't seem to be deleted from the queues?
    Tim

Thank you for the response Rene.
We have set up both the active expiration scan and the message expiration policy. The active expiration scan is set for every 30 seconds. The message expiration policy is set to "discard". This is a bit of a strange one but I have the situation where we send two idocs at the same time from a SAP ECC system to PI. The first idoc is processed but the second one just dissapears. Things I have checked:
SMQ1/SMQ2 on both systems - nothing there
Runtime workbench - the successful one is there but no failed messages
Sending two messages from another ECC system - we do get both messages - but this is a different interface (however the one with the problem is just a copy of the one which works)
Any ideas what this could be or what else I should be checking?
    Kind regards
    Ben

    Hi Mark,
Thanks for your quick reply. I have checked idx5 and there is only one message/TID from the sending system.
The other ECC system is owned by a different department so I will ask them to run SM58 to see if anything is stuck in there as well
