Personalisation Issues

Hi Team,
We have an issue.
User have problem with calender (as a input field) which is not working. I have compared with the other user for whom the things are working fine, only difference is with personalization values in SU01.
so
1) When i create an user (without any roles or anything) how the personalization values are coming automatically, and where the values maintained ?
2) Is it the correct issues what we identified, because of personalization values, because, we generally do not maintain any personalization values for the users ?
Thanks,
Sankar.

Hello.
I have no silver-bullet answer for you.
Options I see:
a) there are some exits or BADIs available in SU01. You can try to implement those so that your set of personalization keys is assigned to every user created automatically.
b) Write yourself a report (or a query) that would check the users and list those users that don't have all the personlization keys you wan them to have. Then either process these manually or implement some sort of a on-click on an ALV line in your report that would assign the missing pers. keys.

  • Multiple Alerts for Single error in interface is a design not issue with XI

    Hi,
    This is constraint of alert mechanism in XI.
    You get multiple alerts for single error,the reason is that since XI will try multiple times to process a failed message so each time it fails in its tries it will send an e-mail.to stop this the "Suppress multiple alert" box is checked but what it does is that it stops all the alerts of that specific rule until the first one is confirmed.Personally i myself (and other experts too) suggest to leave the box unchecked coz its better to get tons of mails for a specific error rather than not getting any e-mail and thereby wasting time in tracking/solving the issue resulting in revenue loss to client.
    As per above comments is it possible to write an ABAP code so that we can stop multiple alerts to be sending to inbox. I am sure if we can delete message from some table then we can stop sending multiple messages to alert inbox and to the subsequent mail id also. I am not sure how alert being generated. I know where they get logged in this table sxmsalertlogger. If someone know how it works in background please let me know the table names.

    Hi Gaurav,
    You can personalize the way in which you receive alerts.
    Simply choose Personalization to make individual settings for your alert inbox. You can determine a substitute who will then receive the alerts. In addition, you can choose whether alerts are sent to you time-independently or time-dependently. The default setting is that alerts are sent time-independently to your alert inbox and via e-mail when they occur. You can additionally select the communication methods FAX and SMS for time-independent alert notification.
    If you want to receive alerts only on certain days for a certain time, simply select the option for time-dependent sending of alerts and choose Create to create a new table entry. You can then choose the corresponding factory calendar, the time interval, and communication channel. Alerts that arise during this time frame will be sent in any case to your alert inbox. If you have also selected other communication channels, the alerts are additionally sent to you using these other channels.
    This above text is from SAP help, do you think by changing anything in personnalisation i can stop multiple alerts. I have some issue with Personalisation link so was wondering would be worth to get tht personalisation issue resolved.

  • ICal automatic multiple alerts?

    Hello,
    I have an important appointment in 57 days.  I'd like to be reminded by iCal with an alert, 2 weeks, 1 week, 2 days, and 2 hours before that appointment.
    I know I can manually add all these alerts when recording the event in iCal.   Or: I can set an alert 2 weeks before. When that alert appears, I can modify the entry to set it to "2 days before" and so on.
    Is there an automatic --or at least easier-- way of arranging this kind of progression?
    TIA

  • Issue with Variable Personalisation in Bex Report

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm facing a typical problem with Variable presonalisation in the Report.
    I've executed a BEX Report and filtered data on some characteristics and used SAVE AS Button on the Portal to save the resultset. When I'm trying to use the variants, again say after  2 or 3 days i couldn't find updated data for particular variants upon using the same variants rather its refelecting the old data. Further more when I execute the report and try filtering on the same criteria altogether, I'm able to see updated result set.
    Is there any setting to be enabled when we personalise variants or variants are dependent on the data or the date on which they are created. Not sure why the reports are behaving this way. Or Do I need to create variants time and again.
    Any pointers would be of great help.
    Regard,
    Yaseen

    Hello,
    In the BEx report, when you get the variable selection screen there input your selection and at the bottom you have the option of saving them as a variant.
    Now in future when you run the report simply use this variant and execute the report. It should work fine.
    Also remember date selection can be tricky. If you input todays date in the variant, it wil consider the same date in further references. So do a check on that too.

  • Message mapping issue in idoc to jdbc scenario

    We have a scenario of  idoc->XI-JDBC
    the below given segment may get repeated , as shown below ,
    E1EDP19[2]--idoc segment
       QUALF---003
       IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
    E1EDP19[3]--idoc segment
       QUALF---003
       IDTNR---20500000000034(EAN No)
    Reqd mapping
    if QUALF=003
    THEN IDTNR----->Bar_code_Number_EAN
    Now IDTNR has to be mapped with Bar_code_Number_EAN for the segment which comes last
    Pl suggest how to map using graphical mapping for the above scenario.

    Hi Raj ,
    The current mapping works fine if the parent segment E1EDP01 is only one but if that gets repeated then the last value of IDTNR is getting populated in the target side, very clearly i m giving the source and target structure and the mapping done using the UDF
    Source structure
    E1EDP01
           E1EDP19[1]--idoc segment
                  QUALF---002
                  IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
           E1EDP19[2]--idoc segment
                  QUALF---003
                  IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
           E1EDP19[3]--idoc segment
               QUALF---003
               IDTNR---20500000000030(EAN No)
    E1EDP01
         E1EDP19[1]--idoc segment
                    QUALF---002
                    IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
         E1EDP19[2]--idoc segment
                   QUALF---003
                   IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
          E1EDP19[3]--idoc segment
                 QUALF---003
                 IDTNR---20500000000031(EAN No)
    E1EDP01
           E1EDP19[1]--idoc segment
                   QUALF---002
                    IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
          E1EDP19[2]--idoc segment
                  QUALF---003
                  IDTNR---01000123(Bar Code No)
         E1EDP19[3]--idoc segment
              QUALF---003
              IDTNR---20500000000032(EAN No)
    Target mapping
    if QUALF=002
    THEN IDTNR--->Article_No this is the direct mapping so , no issues
    if  QUALF=003
    THEN IDTNR----->Bar_code_Number_EAN, now this IDTNR should get repeated every time  the segment  E1EDP01 gets repeated , currently only the last value form all the  IDTNR is coming to the target side.
    The current mapping works fine if the parent segment E1EDP01 is only one
    Target structure
    Access1
    IDTNR--> Bar_code_Number_EAN( value is 20500000000030)
    Access2
    IDTNR--> Bar_code_Number_EAN( value is 20500000000031)
    Access3
    IDTNR--> Bar_code_Number_EAN( value is 20500000000032)
    Current mapping
    If QUALF = 003
                    Then  QUALF ---->
                                                     mapBarCodeEAN---->Bar_code_Num_EAN
    If QUALF = 003
                    Then  IDTNR ---->
    Context of QUALF is set to E1EDP01
    Context of IDTNR is set to  E1EDP01

  • Viewing wrong values in messageStyledtext box created by personalisation

    Hi
    I created a messageStyledText thru personalisation and the value is setting to this by calling a procedure.Please find the code below.
    String sql="BEGIN XXCHR_ACCRUAL_BALANCE_CALC(:1,:2); END;";
    oapagecontext.writeDiagnostics(this, "*** Congragulations you entered the Action" + sql , 1);
    //SSHRParams sshrParams = new SSHRParams(oadbt);
    OracleCallableStatement stmt = (OracleCallableStatement)oadbt.createCallableStatement(sql,1);
    stmt.setString(1,person_id);
    stmt.registerOutParameter(2,OracleTypes.NUMBER);
    stmt.execute();
    oadbt.commit();
    String us_pto_accrual_value = null;
    us_pto_accrual_value = stmt.getString(2);
    Issue now is : First time i login accrual balance will be displayed correctly in the text box.There is Save button in the page.For current pay period i entered a PTO value as 8 hours.Then i clicked on the save button.The accrual is not submitted so after page refreshes the same value which we have seen before shd come.But the value is coming something different.So what i have done is i tried to print this stmt.getString(2) value using diagonistics.First time it is retrieving correctly but after clicking on the save button it is assigned some wrong value.
    I closed the current IE and opened a new IE then it is showing correct values.
    Can anyone help on this issue.?
    It is very urgent.
    Thanks
    Preeti

    Hi Gaurav,
    We are just calling the procedure in the backend and we are assigning the result to the out parameter and that out parameter is assigining to a variable using getString method.
    Then we are picking the id for that and setting the value like this:
    OAMessageStyledTextBean uspto = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)pgbean.findChildRecursive("USPTOSTYLEDTEXT");
    uspto.setValue(oapagecontext,us_pto_accrual_value);
    Thanks

  • Using Javascript form validation in WordPress - Firefox issues

    I have been struggling for a while to get javascript to validate a WordPress based HTML form which uses radio buttons. I finally came up with a solution with was a bit long-winded but worked - at least in IE and Chrome - however, it doesn't work in Firefox (which suggests my code is a bit sloppy). I think my radio button reference is the issue. Can anyone help with what I have done wrong - apart from use an inefficient approach for validation :-)?
    A simplified version of my form:
    <script>
    function validateForm()
    var aa=document.forms["personalise"]["motivation"]["1a"];
    var ab=document.forms["personalise"]["motivation"]["1b"];
    var ac=document.forms["personalise"]["motivation"]["1c"];
    var ad=document.forms["personalise"]["motivation"]["1d"];
    var ae=document.forms["personalise"]["motivation"]["1e"];
    if (!(aa.checked == true || ab.checked == true || ac.checked == true || ad.checked == true || ae.checked == true))
    alert("Question 1 must be completed");
    return false;
    </script>
    <form name="personalise" action="insertdatatest.php" onsubmit="return validateForm()" method="post">
    1. Are you seriously planning to quit </b>:&nbsp;&nbsp;
    <input id="1a" type="Radio" title="" name="motivation" value="1" /> Within the next 2 weeks
    <input id="1b" type="Radio" title="" name="motivation" value="2" /> Within the next 30 days
    <input id="1c" type="Radio" title="" name="motivation" value="3" /> Within the next 3 months
    <input id="1d" type="Radio" title="" name="motivation" value="4" /> No, I am not currently planning to quit
    <input id="1e" type="Radio" title="" name="motivation" value="5" /> I have already quit
    <input type="submit" value = "Submit">
    </form>
    For My Website : http://www.schoolanduniversity.com

    Thanks for your support,
    This will partly solve the issue I think. Now, the validation is indeed only done for the first form. But I need to save data twice when entering data in the second grid. When checking the error console in mozilla I see following error:
    Error: grid[r] is undefined
    Which is reffering to:
              if ((grid[r] [1] != missing) ||(grid[r][2] != missing) || (grid[r][3] != missing))
    When I save again, the data will be saved without this error.
    Is there a way to exclude the second grid in the if Statement?

    Erik

  • Email notification issue on E90

    Hi,
    I am using mail for exchange(version 2.9.158) on E90 (software version 300.34.84) and I use the default email notification (under settings --> General --> personalisation --> standby mode --> Active standby plugins). This show the count of unread mail in the screen. When I change my connection type in mail for exchange (I generally switch between my service provider and my WiFi connection), the default email notification disappears. I have to manually go back and enable the plugin.
    Has anybody faced this problem? Is this an issue with the software? Is there a way to fix this? Thanx

    Hi Andrew,
    We haven’t had any issues since we started using Forms Central until after your site was down for maintenance a couple days ago.  That’s when the issue started for us.  I’m thinking a glitch on your end?  I actually called the day the site was down and it was confirmed that the Forms Central was in fact down and to give it 1-2 hours and check back.  The next day is when the email notifications stopped coming into our email address.  If you could check that out and let me know, then we’ll take it to the co-author step if need be.
    Thanks,

  • Forms Personalization Issues / Urgent help

    Hello Oracle Gurus,
    I have an issue while customizing the Customer Standard Form in Oracle Applications using Forms Personalization.
    Issue descritption:
    1) In Customer Standard Form (ARXCUDCI), at Bill-to Site level i need to disable the buttons NEW and OPEN for a custom responsibility.
    I have written code in Trigger Event "WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE" and in actions i mentioned as
    1. Property - Object Type as Item
    Target Object as CTRL.ADDR_SU_NEW
    Property Name as Enabled
    Value as False
    2. Property - Object Type as Item
    Target Object as CTRL.ADDR_SU_OPEN
    Property Name as Enabled
    Value as False
    When i check, it is working for the NEW button (i.e. NEW button getting disabled) but the same is not working for OPEN button.
    Am i missing any thing else.........Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Lakshmi Kalyan Vara Prasad.

    I would guess that the problem with the Open button is that there is existing standard code within the form that runs after the WHEN-NEW-FORMS-INSTANCE trigger that enables/disables the Open button based on some other condition.
    Apart from opening up the form in Forms Builder and working through the code to work out what standard code is doing this (which can be an extremely painful process), I would suggest that you try moving your personalisation to a later event, such as WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE.

  • CS5 Upgrade Issues from DW8

    I have recently upgraded from DW8 to CS5. This occurred when I purchased a new computer with the OS going from XP Pro to Win 7 Ultimate (remained with 32 bit instead of going up to 64 bit). DW8 didn't like the new OS. Now at this stage I am still carrying maintenance out on the DW8 created sites (haven't created any new CS5 ones yet) and I am having trouble with the PVII Menu system which I was forced to upgrade to Version II (to cope with the New Everything) however, more importantly, CS5 will not let me edit the Editable Section of the Template pages  as DW8 used to do (as soon as I click on the Editable area, the whole sheet "greys out" and locks me out). I can disengage the Template, however if I do that I can't reattached the page back to the Template. Are you aware of a work around, because if not, it looks as though I am going to have to waste hours re-creating the page as a CS5 page to overcome this issue. Your comments will be appreciated. Hope you might have a solution. With over sixty pages on one site, I am not looking forward too that I can assure you....:-(
    Your assistance and advice would be very much welcomed.
    Kind regards,
    John C

    Hi SE,
    Looks as though Project Seven made an easy $65.00 from me...:-(  I have attached the Code for the index.htm page below which is the page I am having the trouble with;
    I have at this point not üpgraded the PVII Menu System on the DWT Template even though I have already installed the Extension into Dreamweaver. I am thinking that I will just ditch the PV V.1 Menu and replace the Menu with PVII on the DWT Template
