Phone + Broadband Thought

Since I couldn't find a forum specifically catered for this question I thought here would be appropriate.
I already know that BT support there own package deals, but is it possible to have the following?
BT Broadband Option One (Here)
Unlimited Anytime Calling Plan (Here)
Also having a change of phone number?
Basically these options together rather than BT's pre-defined packages on thier website.

Hi Craig and welcome to the Forum!
This Questions in the right place my friend,the offers on the web are web offers of course you can have them as a bundle package which works out cheaper for you but if you want them as separate assets you can opt for this too just give BT a call if the option/method you want is not available/showing on the web.
Also if you want a different number then BT offer renumbers free of charge.

It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks   again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it  . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Why don’t you just release me ? After 20 yrs do you think I will ever renew my contract ?

    Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon
    the phone from Verizon will be a refurbished device and not new unless under the 14 day worry free guarantee

    I know that this has been talked about a lot on these forums, but I'm hoping to get the attention of a Mod who will give me an answer.
    I purchased unlimited broadband and calls online on Thursday 9th of September. This is for a new build flat - so my line needs to be activated. I was then informed that my estimated activation date would be Thursday 16th September and that I would not need an engineer to come to my property. 
    Unfortunately the activation date has passed and neither the phone or broadband works. So I phoned BT, and after being passed about and put on hold repeatedly (often ending in the line going dead after waiting 15 minutes and needing to start all over again), I was told that there was a fault... and some one will call me back in 48 hours to tell me why... not to tell me that they've fixed it, but just to tell me why. 
    The reason this is so important to me is because I work from home - I need a broadband connection and a phoneline to do my job, and I'm currently relying on a PAYG tmobile 3g dongle and my mobile - which are both costing a fortune (especially the mobile because I make a lot of international calls - something I am sure BT will love to profit from). 
    Having been mucked about by Sky for 2 months (who also failed to install a phoneline because they consistently failed to communicate with openreach properly - resulting in repeated cancled installs) I don't have the luxury to wait around! Having looked around this forum, it has taken some people months to get connected. 
    I simply want to know WHY my activation failed, and WHEN it can be fixed. Simple.

    mod email address - [email protected] (they'll need your name, account number and a link to this thread).
    new build - I'll guess that your master socket connections have not been made off (connected), as only BT can do this. This could be why your line isn't active...
    It could be a fault, but I'm stilling guessing they're not connected in the master socket...
    You really shouldn't, but a quick look (don't touch) at the master socket connections may answer this for you.

    Siri does come on ALL iphone 4S.It is a built in app on the phone. Although it not supported every country

  • No phone/broadband for a week!!!!!

    April this year, phone and bb went off late one night - seems someone pinched some cable locally - was a week before we got services back.  No compensation offered.
    Last Tuesday, 1.30 in morning, same thing happens, half village cut off. 
    NO ONE AT BT CAN TELL ME WHEN WE WILL BE PUT BACK ON - COMPO WILL BE PRO RATA REBATE ON RENTAL CHARGE!!!
    Dont bother checking on the internet site, the fault detai which said it would be fixed friday last has been removed.
    Posting this cos some kind soul has left their FON service up and running.
    Help perhaps mods???????

    Copy the movie from the current library to the correct library.
    iDevices can only sync to one library at a time.

  • Home Phone/ Broadband Issues

    For the past 2 nearly 3 weeks I've had no internet, and when we did it was constantly dropping in and out although we still had a working telephone line... I called Telstra multiple times only for each time there was no problem on their end. Tuesday just gone I finally got hold of someone who knew what they were talking, we still had no internet however they said they were going to send out a technician to check the lines outside of our house. Wednesday morning we tried to reset the modem and low and behold it caused something in our modem to work. Thinking that the technician would see everything was working nothing would be changed. Thursday morning we received a call to my mobile from the technician saying that he had just been and fixed the problem. Now we now have no internet AND no phone line at all, since then I've gone instore to see about getting the technician back and they said they couldn't do it but to had a call set up for us to see about it getting fixed, we never received a call. I've now not long ago gotten off a phone call from Telstra saying they can't do anything at all expect send out a technician the check inside our house which would cost us.. Everything thing phone and modem related isn't even 6 months old yet!! Nothing should be wrong... They aren't even offering to compensate the problem which has caused me to use more of my data on my mobile (which I normally don't use at all!).. And they won't send the technician back out to undo what he had done....

    No dial tone & no internet since this morning help

    You will need to report this directly to Sky so then can run some tests on your line and if needs be they in turn will report it to BT Openreach to fix.
    If you have a mobile that has free inclusive minutes with your network provider then calls to Sky via the 03 number will be free as the 03 number Sky uses now is a local rate number so would be free like 01 numbers are if you have free calls time.
    If you have a mobile you could also use the Sky Service App and request a call back.

  • HELP? PLEASE? I JUST WANT MY BROADBAND TO BE CONNE...

    Help please.
    I placed an order with BT on the 6th May 2015 for a 'phone/broadband/tv package. All was set to go ahead on the 8th June. The 'phone was taken over by BT then, but NOTHING else.
    I only found out on the 9th as there was no broadband service on the 8th but it says that it might take until midnight to connect. When it wasn't there on the 9th I started 'phoning the helpline. I have been told various reasons for this incompetance none of which I now believe.
    I was told that due to the MAC code it couldn't be connected until the 11th. I contacted my previous provider and they said that wasn't true, the code was valid until the 11th.
    Eventually I spoke to someone who assured me that t would be connected by midnight on the 9th. So I thought it was all sorted out. No chance. I checked online and found that in my account it was now showing that it would be connected on the 15th!
    I 'phoned again, and was told it was being rushed through and I should be connected on the 11th. That's not rushing it through, that's three days late.
    I then got an email in the middle of the night letting me know that my broadband service would be connected on the 15th. A week late. If no one's going to try and connect it until the 15th, I'll have to go back to my old provider and get another MAC code. Will this all start all over again? Will I ever get connected? Will I ever manage to speak to someone who's not in a call centre and working from a script but is still completely unable to do anything at all about the problem?
    THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. For a complany the size of BT this should not happen. It seems that when there's a problem then it's ignored and passed around and not dealt with. PLEASE, SOMEBODY JUST DEAL WITH THIS NOW.

    I do not know if I have a fault with Phone, Broadband or TV.
    I have a White Box with the label "Openreach" on it. There are three green lights on the top labelled "Power" "DSL" & "Lan 1". The "Lan 1" loght has very recently started a continuous flashing.
    On the back of the box there is a cable with Red Connectors which goes from that white box to my BT Broadband Hub.
    There is a Green & Orange Light by that cable. The Orange Light is also continuously flashing.
    I phoned 0800800151 last night and was eventually told I had "A Glitch in my system" - The Asian lady (who was very difficult to understand) said she'd send me a text and I also confirmed my mobile phone number but have not received a text.
    Everything, that is Phone, TV & Broadband work excellently and without fault except...
    That White Box is getting "Quite Warm" (approx 7 degrees f.) above room temerature and that makes me worry about a fire risk.
    BTW - I have OCD's so regularly check every item of electrical equiment for any sign of overheating, for that reason I am able to say this is "Warmer than usual".
    I am very worried about this, I'm disabled and live alone. I'm very frightened of the fire risk, can someone please explain the "Glitch" and the overheating please?

    Sorry, not quite accepted, I see that I missed something out...
    This rapid flashing has only occured since I had BT Sport included in my package a few days back. Before then the light had been stable green with the occasional rapid flashing whilst I have been connected to the internet. That obviously does indicate data transfer.
    However, when I was not connected to the internet, the light glowed a stable green all the time. Now it flashes rapidly even when I'm not connected - I'll add there that my BT Vision box remains on all the time.
    Heat - The unit IS WARMER than it was - That may sound nit-picking but with my OCD's I "Touch-check" every item of electrical equipment every time I leave my house and, when I go to bed at night  so I am very well used to "How warm something should be" so that in my mind, I "Feel Safe". At this time I don't "Feel Safe" with the increased temperature so have to switch it off overnight, or when I leave my house.
    ** The unit may of course be warmer due to extra data-transfer but then, why do I suddenly have extra, and constant data transfer when my computers are switched off and I'm not using the internet?
    A thought about that I think could be that someone else is constantly accessing my connection though I've no idea how that could be so or if that ever could happen.

  • Phone not working after Infinity setup

    I was using BT phone & broadband without any problem till now. Today an engineer from BT came and setup BT infinity. Immediately after that I am not able to make any calls and not able to receive any calls.
    Phone has dial tone, but soon after dialing any number, I can hear multiple voice and cant make call. When an incoming call comes, the phone rings, but not able to get connected. Please Help..... 

    report it to BT Faults on 151 there sounds like a wiring fault either in your home or at the cabinet

  • Phone crashed, re set to factory settings now iMessage from phone number won't work

    Hey all,
    So my iPhone 5s had some sort of mini crash and long story short it went into recovery mode when I plugged it in to my Macbook. I had to reset the phone to factory settings and go through that entire to-do. After restoring my phone, I thought every thing was working fine and imessage was working as well. But then someone tells me that they can't send me imessages to my phone number but instead have been texting me through my email address connected to my apple ID.
    I go into settings and messages, imessage was turned on and I looked at the send and receive section. However there is no send section, just a "you can be reached at" section. My email address is checked and my phone number is faded (and unclickable) and does not have a check mark next to it. I've tried turning imessage on and off, obviously, but it tells me there is a problem activating imessage (although when I hit ok it continues to wait for activation). I'm not sure if this detail is important but I am currently abroad and connecting over wifi (which is extremely strong). When I go into imessage on my laptop , my number isn't listed at all as well.
    Someone please help. I am currently abroad for another week and imessage is very important for contacting people back home. Thank you.

    iMessage activation requires an SMS to be sent to the Apple Servers in the UK. IF you do not have a cellular connection, that could answer why it is not activating. You can check this support document for help with activation of iMessage. iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime and iMessage activation
    If you are using Wi-Fi only, that would also explain why it would not be activating the phone number.
