How do I find out if my phone has been hacked?

Hi ..
How to Tell if an iPhone Has Been Hacked
Set up a passcode to protect your data > iOS passcodes
Chane the password for your email account. -
my friend has an iphone 4 and believes her messages on her phone have been hacked as and ex boyfriend has contacted her telling her who she has spoken to and read the message she has for the past week, is this possible and how can she stop this?
ThanksYou're welcome.
Ask her if they shared an Apple ID to download iTunes Store content such as apps and music?
If not, he knows the password for her Apple ID email address.
She can create a new Apple ID with this link.
https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleIdForIK B?localang=en_US&path=
She needs to create a new email address first as well.
Tell her not to use any security questions that her ex knows or may know.
After she has created a new Apple ID, on her iPhone go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID.
Select the Apple ID and at the menu window that appears, select Sign Out.
She signs back in at the same location with her new Apple ID to register her iPhone phone number with her new Apple ID and this will prevent her ex from having access to all iMessages that she sends and receives. -

< Emails Edited By Host >Thanks for the reply.
To reply to your question. I forward a copy of all emails to an account "[email protected]" suddenly on this past Thursday I find some 66,000+ emails in the junk folder of that email account and a tremendous amount of actiivity on my server email. So my first thought is that I've been hacked.
All actual email accounts seem to be functioning fine, and I've had everyone change their email passwords.
The unusual amount of activity sent up the red flag.
BTW. I ran the postconf -n again and am including it.

My phone has been hacked - opening texts, editing items and typing URLs
Something crazy is going on with my iphone. So far today it has done all of the following when it has been sat on a table, with nothing near it, and nothing touching it:
- opening text messages and scrolling through them
- entering my contacts and editing (deleting items and selecting new images)
- entering my photo gallery and selecting images
- opening search
- opening safari and connecting to the internet
- opening notes and copying and pasting items
- opening call history and calling people from my 'last dialled'
earlier when i was logged into twitter it sent to tweets - i lost all control of the screen. The first said 'En' and the second said 'E' (not anything dramatic) - but i had no control of it and had to turn it off and restart.
I reset all the factory settings but it's made no difference. I've since removed the sim card and turned the phone off - but i don't know if this is enough.
In addition to this - it was plugged into my mac syncing yesterday. Today when I turned my mac on, the green light next to the webcam will not go off - should I be worried about this?
Any advice or help is gratefully received! When did you drop it (possibly into water)? Sounds like the digitizer is randomly generating taps/presses/swipes. Time to visit the Genius Bar and find out what the replacement is going to cost.

My email account has been hacked -help!
Emails have been sent to some people n my contacts list th I haven't sent- it contains a link which its says has Been sent from my iPhone - please help.

I own an N97 and I use Opera to browse the web.I was atempting to acccess a website last night and it was taking a long time to connect. When it did connect I saw a Saudi flah and the message "You have been hacked by....."
What can I do to secure my phone?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Haven't heard about this before. It is possible that what you saw was one of these web pop ups that makes you think you have been hacked in order to get you to download some meaningless and expensive "solution". This is quite common on desktop PCs.
First thing to check is if you have any applications installed that you don't recognise by looking Application Manager. If you unsure then post them here and other N97 users can check if they recognise them as genuine. -

PLEASE HELP - phone dies in two hours - cant turn off - switches screens - yes I've up dated software- leave kn charger over night and have 60% battery
I'm willing to send all info to anyone who will provide some type of reasonable answer for me other than back it up wipe it clean and restart BC- I live with the person I believe did It and really that's not going to help as I already have - would like more definitive info -Will do that tomorrow - but the problem is- he has had access to my iCloud since I got an iPhone - we live together - have for a long time he set it up for me - I never realized there was a possibility he could possibly hack my phone entirely through that- and im still not sure - as answers here are vague- I don't have a problem with him viewing any info there- I never set up much more than contacts and find my iPhone which - who cares if he looks where I am - I don't lie about that- but until I started having multiple persistent problems with my phone - and finding many locked files on his Mac and Cydia on his iPad -( after hours of digging) - I never had a clue to think maybe he hacked my phone - I started really researching the concept and found vuze BitTorrent VMware strange wifi numbers - different locations on Mac - apple script and text edit files - pdf files that made no sense- stuffit - frankly i dont know what any o it really means- the problem is - I don't think going to apple tomorrow having them fix it - and not knowing if the problem is here at home is going to help this situation -if he is hacking / remote using - my phone on the level I think he has - I clearly can't figure it out with the knowledge I have in regards to this software - never knew he was into it - and frankly I think If its true its pretty easy for him to do again as we share everything here - can apple look at the information I have and really answer this question or do I need to find someone who will be able to understand the data ( im sure apple will -but who wants their product hack able) and all I've heard is its impossible to hack an apple phone with out jail breaking it - which from what I've looked at the last month I'm not sure about that if you share all your devices constantly. I would just like a definitive yes or no - and before I wipe it clean - it's kind of a serious thing.

I think my phone has been hacked and I don't know what to do!
Is there somebody I can contact about getting help with my phone being hacked? plz help
Email address removed as required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service
Message was edited by: Admin ModeratorBecause of the inaccessibility to the web. Also, my Verizon account has someone else as the account owner. It just seems that something else has control of or access to my phone. Being asked the way you did really made me force myself to put to words what's wrong. That's just it, I can't put my finger on it. I must sound nutty.

I would like to know if my phone has been hacked in any sort of way.
I found two contacts of people in my contact book who I never added into it. I then got a new phone, but a few days later the same two contacts reappeared. Both of the times that I have found them on my phone the numbers have included contact photos. Also my data use has spiked through the charts this past month so I've become a little more suspicious. When I brought the contact thing up to the guys at my closest phone store they said they never heard of such a thing so I became more worried. If anyone knows or has any answers please let me know! It would be much appreciated!!
Someone would have to have possesion of your iphone for a period of time in order to hack it.
Has this happened? -
I think my computer has been hacked, help please?
Hi,
A couple of days a go, after having my laptop for nearly two years, I have started to have major issues with it. When I log on, as soon as I get on to my desktop, without any encouragement, it starts doing its own thing such as the mouse moving around in a very jagged manner and generally resisting anything I attempt to do. It is making my computer incredably slow and its so frustrating. Even worse, I am frightened I may have picked up something and that someone is controlling my machine but the issue is I know so very little about computers, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have changed browsers (used to use Safari, now I use FireFox) and have backed up all my files on to a hard drive and am thinking about restoring the mac to it's factory settings but I am unsure whether this would mean I would lose all my applications which I desperately can't afford to do. It only happens occasionally, so at the present it is fine but it occurs out of the blue and is very unnerving. I have two anti virus programmes on here: ClamXav and iAntiVirus which suggest that there are no virus found on the computer. I have also been monitoring the activity monitor and although nothing has particularly drawn much attention, it can be fair to say I am not entirely sure what I am looking for.
Is there any way to double check to see as to whether my computer is infected and if so what would be my next move?
Muchly appreciatedThe anti-virus software is not the problem. Yes, Shootist is correct that AV software can be almost as much of a problem as getting infected with malware, but ClamXav is one that is good. Having two isn't so good, though, so ditch iAntivirus at least. And see my Mac Malware Guide for more information to protect yourself from malware.
Similarly, the firewall is also not the problem. You almost certainly do not need a firewall. See Do I need a firewall? for more information on that.
Most likely, you are not being hacked. If I understand you correctly, it doesn't seem like the mouse has any purpose to its actions - is that correct? If so, my first thought would be that your battery has gone bad and is expanding, and in the process is pressing on the underside of the trackpad. That is a known cause of this kind of behavior. Though I must admit I've never seen a battery expand, it does happen. I'd advise getting the machine looked at by Apple ASAP.
If the movements do appear purposeful, someone could be playing a prank on you. Check System Preferences -> Sharing and make sure everything there is turned off. If Screen Sharing is on, someone may have been using that to access your machine, most likely someone who knows your MobileMe password (if you have MobileMe) or someone on the same local network that you're using.
(Note that my pages contain links to other pages that promote my services, and this should not be taken as an endorsement of my services by Apple.) -
My phone has been lost/stolen how do I block my iPhone 4s ?
Hi,
You need to call EE on 07953 966 250 and report your handset lost/stolen and block the phone from making any calls.
You also need to inform the police.
Thanks,Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup of the old computer to the new computer.

How can i tell if my iphone 4 has been hacked into?
Here is the situation.....a friend of mine is in a bad marriage. She found out her husband bugged her laptop and her phone and is finding out all of her conversations. The other day, we were all at a buffet restaurant and he was sitting at the table with us, without thinking anything of it, I left my purse with my phone at the table while all but him went up to the bar. Later on that night, I was in the car with another friend and we were talking in detail about our friends situation. The next day my friend whom I was talking to in the car, checked her answering machine, and our conversation was on her machine. I checked my call log AND detailed billing from AT&T thinking I may have butt dialed her house, but there is no record of me calling her house. The same with her, she as no record of calling her house and her home phone does not have caller ID. This guy is very tech savy and is the manager of 4 AT&T stores. Is it possible for him to have hacked into my phone and put some sort of bug in it? If this is possible, is it also possible for my phone to be able to record our conversation without a call being placed? If it is possible, how can I tell if my phone has been hacked?
ThanksIt would be extremely difficult for someone to be able to grab your iPhone out of your purse and hack into it without having a laptop computer with him with which to jailbreak the iPhone and time to work on it. I can't say it would be impossible, though. I'd suggest as a precaution you perform a Restore on your iPhone; if it restores successfully that would clear any jailbreak and remove any hack.

I believe my BlackBerry has been HACKED
This may sound crazy. I've been using Blackberry for 7 years and have never encountered something like this. I woke up to my alarm last week and as I reached for it I noticed a messaged had popped up on my screen that said "Your phone has been hacked" with an exclamation mark inside a Triangle beside it. I read the msg at the same moment I touched my phone to turn off my alarm and the message disapearred. Rubbing my eyes I thought I was seeing things.
Last night Microsoft outlook mailed me to inform me my account had been accessed from another country. I changed ALL my passwords immediately and ONLY entered the new passwords into my Blackberry to re-sync my accounts. An hour ago I just got an email from a different email account saying my other email had been accessed. But the ONLY place I'd entered the NEW password for this other email account had been on my blackberry. Whoever accessed my other account already had my NEW password, and the only place I entered that new password was on my blackberry device.
I now believe the message I saw on my phone that morning was actually there and I don't know what to do! Is it possible for a Blackberry to display that message to a user? Please help!If the messages are in your email, these are very common scams.
If you have a popup directly on your desktop of the Blackberry phone when not running an application this is very strange. This should never happen! If it is in an email, then it is obvious it is email content. If the popup is in a software then it is the software that is the problem.
If I was to see a popup on the desktop of a Blackberry device, I would wipe the phone and re-install the operating system. Using the Link software backup the user files first. If your data is not important you can skip the backup. First make sure your phone is synced with some type of service to preserve your email addresses. You can re-install the OS using the Link software. This is sort of a long process, but not too difficult to do.
I know a lot of people including myself who get these scams. I just hope you never answered to any of these, and NEVER clicked on any links and fill out their forms.
With your Blackberry phone, as long you use original Blackberry software and NEVER follow instrcutions from Scam email you should be safe. If you ever filled out any of these Scam forms you very quickly must change your passwords.
With your phone or computer NEVER open any emails, and especially attachments unless you are sure the source is safe.
The email services, financial services, operating systems services, and distributors will never send you emails asking about passwords and personal information. The only time you would receive an email from any of these services is if you solicited to have an email from them.
If you are installing Android software be cautious. Many Android programs can be a security issue with the phone. The whole idea of the Blackberry phone is for the security. Using Android software does add some risk.
I have been told the safest download sites are 1mobile and Amazon for Android programs to be used on the Blackberry phone. But, there are no absolute guarantees.
When I first got my Passport, I tried an Android software that looked interesting to me. I downloaded it from the Google server for Android programs. The phone started to work very slow, and the program was displaying banners on the screen when I was using the program. It was a free chess game. I tried to uninstall this game and it would not go out! I had a backup from before I installed this program. The best I could do to get rid of it was to wipe the phone and re-install the OS. This fixed it.
I hope all this helps you out. I am a user like anyone else, and when i have time I participate in these groups. In my family we have a lot of Blackberry phones. We like this phone a lot.

I think my system has been hacked int
I think my airport has been hacked into how do I change passowrd
Unless you are using a very simple password that might be easy to guess, the chances that someone has cracked your network are very small.
The password is changed using AirPort Utility, an administrative application for the AirPort routers.
What device did you use to set up the AirPort Extreme originally? If you have a Mac, we'll need to know what operarting system it is using if you want step by step instructions on how to change the password.
Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac. Post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.
