Photos not syncing after update to photo app

photos not uploading to photo app after update, I have over 10,000 photos that are trying to upload and the last import says 2013 instead of last week. I have a MacBook pro and my icloud sharing is on and I purchased more space so that is not the problem

i can sync movies, music, podcasts and tv shows just fine, but whenever i try to sync photos, then i am getting the exclamation mark and nothing - not even the movies and tv shows that worked before - get synched anymore.
This seems contradictory, I'm not clear whether music, movies etc work for you or not.
In regard to the photos, make sure iphoto sharing is enabled and not blocked by your firewall, you could try creating a new photo library in the same location but with a different name to your existing library to avoid overwriting it, to see if it's a photo library issue or something else.

Not syncing after initial start of app

Hello. I could use some serious help here. I have tried the chat twice in the past few days and was not able to resolve my problem. My issue is that I can't get the sync to work correctly. When I start the creative cloud app it syncs right up. Or if I pause sync...even though it isn't syncing the sync will start. But if I just add a file to the cloud folder after the app has been opened it won't sync unless I quit the app and reopen or hit pause sync...again it isn't syncing when I hit pause sync. Like I said I tried with the chat twice. Sunday when no resolution was found the tech assured me by end of day or tomorrow at the latest they would get back to me. No one did. I tried today and found out the person was ill and I hope the person feels better. Todays tech ignored questions I asked and eventually had me use the cleaner tool which un-installed all my apps. After re-installing creative cloud the tech asked if the files was syncing which I mentioned multiple times in the two hours that they sync works fine when the app is first opened. The tech then said the sync has started working and I should install the apps and then the tech ended the chat without saying anything. So here I am wasted two hours for nothing...now I have to use a few more hours to re-install my apps and the plug ins and preferences which I wouldn't mind if my problem was solved but it wasn't. I did try again to initiate a chat that the page says is available 24/7 only to get to the part to click to start chat and I received a message that the chat is closed. Not 24/7 I guess. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my long post.

Not even a reply from someone from Adobe. I find it hard to believe I'm the only one who can't get creative cloud to auto sync. I noticed on someone else system there are green checkmarks on the folders in the Creative Cloud Files folder. I don't have any green check marks on my Creative Cloud Files folders. I've tried calling support and can't get through and the chat people promise to get back to me but no one does.

I am in the same boat with you. I have tried every single "fix" I can find. I have also tried:
restoreing from back up
restore to factory default
uninstall and reinstall itunes
restore in recovery mode
and much much more!
any more help would be ideal .

Ipod nano will not sync after update?

help me out someone please? I have ipod nano have done all updates, deletes and resets. even deleted my itunes and reinstalled it. I still can not get it to sync up. The sieral # is correct, i have done everything tech support suggested.

I dont know why? Yes the error message is 13019 said cant locate ipod. i checked and the serial # is a match, i did update, erased back to factory setting, still will not sync up. Went back to my old laptop with vista and it will sync up, but on my new one with windows 7 it will not. I am do not understand what is wrong.

ITunes will not sync after update

I just got my new iOS - iPhone 5c- and have not yet sync with my pc. So, before I sync I updated my iOS and my iTunes (thought everything would be up to date). Then a message on my iPhone asks "Do you trust this computer? I do- I don't" so I press I do, and then nothing happens. I opended my iTunes but the iTunes icon of my iphone wont appear. I have restarted my pc and still aint working. Please someone help!

Towards the bottom of this thread you may find your answer. In short, update 11.1.4.62 was flawed and you need to install a driver for syncing to work again. Follow the directions. Takes just a few minutes.

Hi apologies but I am new to all this stuff. I updated itunes to version 10.5 and I think my iphone 4 was synced in during this. After itunes had updated I found that my iphone wasnt synced in any longer. I pulled out connecter and re connected but still nothing. Rang apple tech support (on hold for an hour in cue). They tried couple of things and then advised to uninstall itunes then reinstall. I have done that but still not recognising iphone. I can sync to my other apple computer but if I try and upgrade to iOS5 on that it says I need to go to the normal computer it is synced with or I'll lose some apps etc. I dont think my iphone has the latest iOS 5 on it yet. Can anyone pls help? Apple support now closed :-( thanks

Windows 7 on Alienware laptop - no problems at all until upgrade of iTunes client to 10.5.
After the upgrade, attempts to sync my iPhone 4 hang at "Step 1 of 4: Backing up Rob's iPhone" (for over 12 hours)
I have read hundreds of documents with various solutions.
1) Delete backup file from C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
2) Stop stuck MDCrashReport and AppleMobileBackup processes
3) Reinstall iTunes
It all FAILS. I work in IT and can assure you that nothing changed but whatever was changed by the iTunes application as it was upgraded to 10.5. This 2 day extravaganza is ridiculously frustrating and creating a rabid anti-apple sentiment in my house. Why the F would you (Apple) release something that is mandatory for me to use with my iPhone and have it be this buggy P.O.S.? (Rhetorical - no need to answer, please just fix this problem so I can sync and backup my phone).

Outlook will not sync after update to iTunes 10.7 and iOS6 on my phone

I am pulling hair. On one of two PCs that were nicely syncing with Outlook and the iCloud for Calendar, Reminders and Notes (not Mail) data entered on the PC does not show up in iCloud or either my iPhone or iPad. I can update in the browser in iCloud and the updates quickly show up on my phone.
Support and Instructions at Apple do not reflect all the chnages that iOS6 created. It is all a little more cryptic and vague than I can fiind solutions in.
I must use Outlook. it is faster and more compact that a web bases sting of apps in iCloud and other work arounds like Google Calendar to share my calendars across four devices.
One PC was just find. It is running WIndows 7 Home Premium and is 32 bit. WHen I opened iCloud Control Panel on this PC the thing asked me to set up a @me.com Apple ID. I already had one and have no idea what is was really being used for. I have never sent or recieved any mail with this. My Apply ID is or was a @gmail.com account. Even with makign this update the PC opened iCloud Control Panel and I have the option to select the 'mail, calendar, ...' box. That control panel shows my @gmail.com on the main panel with my name.
One PC#2 that used to wrok just fine and across the devices, the iCloud control Panel does not show the option and has a link to icould.com to set the perferences. That has been done and checked. The control panel asks immediatedly on opening it for me to go to Windows's Programs and Features and run a change to repair iCloud. Done 10 times tonight. I close it all. Restart the PC#2 and this whole loop just goes on and on. This is a 64 bit machine and there is supposed to be a 64 bit iTunes installer. I don't know if it is critical to syncing these devices with Outlook but IT CAN NOT be found. Apples support says that a 64 bit installer is needed to install Itunes but the link that me to a downloa dpage that list the requirements and seems to clearly say that a 64 bit iTunes Installer is needed. I cannot find such a thing.
SO, where is the 64 bit Installer for iTunes? Did a new version of iTunes change this requirement? since I was doing just fine before the update to 10.7 and iOS 6.
More importantly, why will the Icloud Control Panel not find Outlooks 2007 ready to connect to?
I read in a community note that there should be an @me.com email account in Outlook's data files and an iCloud pst folder. They are there.
Must both machines and both deveices (iPad and iPhone) all use the same Apples ID and if so How to I get PC#2 to use my @gmail.com Apple ID?
I'll even live with the @me.com or @icloud.com Apples ID. But if I do, must I change it in all the devices? I know this is recommended but the instructions also say these can be mixed. I think the PC #2 does not know what Apple ID to use or which one will match the server's ID for my account. But it could be something else I am missing here.

If it makes you feel better, I'm having a similar problem on my iPhone 3Gs. I can't update apps through iTunes anymore. I can update most apps via my phone either wirelessly or over a 3G connection, but some apps are so big that I can only update them over a wireless connection. I'm wondering if there isn't some collusion going on between Apple and AT&T to hoodwink customers into updating apps over AT&T's wireless connection, thus significantly boosting phone data usage. I smell a class action lawsuit coming on if this isn't addressed quickly.

Ipod Touch not syncing after Update

I've just restored my Ipod Touch with new software and it's been restored but it won't sync anything other than podcasts and the last album I added to my library.
All the boxes are ticked to sync music, apps, films etc but it's just not doing it.
Any ideas?

Had the same problem as you. App would terminate when launched.
Solution to working You Tube app:
-Go to playstore
- Uninstall app (it doesn't remove the app, only removes the update)
- "Et Voila", working again.
This doesn't correct the problem, it's just a workaround for you to be able to use youtube app again.

Ipod touch 4th generation will not sync after I updated the new itunes. Actually after I updated to the new itunes it deleted all my music from my ipod and refuses to reload. If someone could please help me that would be completely appreciated. I tried trying to sync each song individually but it didn't help (before it stopped syncing), then it stopped syncing, even though I have it hooked up it brings everything that I have on my ipod up but it won't do anything.

When I tried the first time it asked me if i wanted it to stop syncing and to restore. It gave the choices of yes and cancel, i didn't click either because the option box went away and it just stopped restoring on its own. I did the store again and now it is asking if i want to set up as a new ipod or to restore to Andrea's ipod. Should I set up as new?

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Possible fix for Gmail not syncing after recent update

Hey all,
I've seen at least one person on the forums who's had issues with their Gmail not syncing after the latest update. I thought I would pass along my solution to the problem in case it worked for others. After I updated to the latest version of the iPhone software a couple of days ago, my mail accounts from Gmail were behaving strangely. For one thing, all of my saved e-mails on the iPhone were deleted. For another, it no longer received any e-mail from those accounts. Finally, I decided to test it out by creating a new e-mail account on my iPhone to sync with a disused Gmail address that I had not yet set up for IMAP on my phone. To my surprise, it worked perfectly! Then, after I checked the details of the new e-mail account with those of my existing accounts, I discovered that the incoming server port number was incorrect on the other accounts. It was 995 when it ought to have been 993. When I corrected the port numbers, all of the accounts synced perfectly. I hope that might work for someone else. It was at least worth a post on the forums, I figured. Have a wonderful St. Patrick's day, everyone!
