How do I import pictures from Photoshop Album starter edition 3.2 into elements 10 without an unlock key as 3.2 no longer exists.
My pc automatically gets photos into 3.2.

Adobe Photoshop 11 with Premire Elements.

I purchased this program the first weekend in August and have worked on learning it and creating a slide show of our recent trip to Africa almost every day -- a whole month. In the preview it is perfect but when it shows on the TV it is blurry. Even when I preview in full screen on my PC it is a tad blurry and the letters are a little choppy. I have read some other comments and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I created the slide show in the Organizer, choose output and the DVD NTSC 720x480 setting, I rendered it, and then burned the DVD. I have made six DVD trying different setting and nothing is working. I had an old program that I created slideshows with and had success on all my DVD's but decided to buy Adobe Photoshop 11 with Premire Elements because I wanted to have more options with my photos. I have spent so much time on this project and I am so disappointed with my final product that I could cry! The slideshow only runs 45 minutes so it is under the 60 minute maximum. It shouldn't be this hard -- HELP!!

I do not work for Adobe nor am I affiliated with it in anyway. So, what I am about to say is addressed solely in your interests.
If you have confidence in Pinnacle Studio and you can get the slideshow video you want, then go with that. Some even suggest the use of Windows Live Movie Maker and the Windows DVD Maker for creation of the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc.
But, if you think that you want to give this one more try, I will work with you (step by step, all the steps) through this thread to try to get you a good quality Premiere Elements video representing your slideshow. Just let me know:
a. number of photos, original pixel dimensions
b. any videos going into this slideshow, what format
c. is this going to be DVD-VIDEO standard 4:3 on DVD disc or DVD-VIDEO widescreen on DVD disc?
d. are you applying pans and zooms
e. what transitions are you using
f. what effects are you using
As reference point, what is the basic problem...playback quality of the DVD-VIDEO produced? Where are you playing it..on computer of TV DVD-Player or other.
I will go as basic or technical as you want so that we get the job done. If I write something and you think "What in the world is that person talking about?", do not hesitate to communicate that to me. It will not hurt my feelings. I will rewrite what you do not understand. But in sync follow up on both sides is important.

Help me import images from Photoshop into a Premiere Elements project!

How do I add photos from Photoshop to existing Premire Elements project.

If you have edited the Images in Photoshop, just Save_As PSD (or TIFF). Set the Still Duration to the desired time, in PrE's Edit>Preferences. Then, Import them into PrE. From the Project Panel, just drag the Image(s) to the Timeline, and to an appropriate Video Track. Say, if you want to place the Image between Clips, just drag it there, and the rest of the Clips/Images on that Video Track will Ripple.
If you want to replace parts of a Clip, with that Image, just hold down Ctrl/Cmd and drag to the appropriate location.
If you want to overlay it, with an existing Clip, just place it onto a higher Video Track. Note: this yields the same general result, as the method above.
I strongly suggest that you Scale your Image in Photoshop, to match, or nearly so, the Frame Size of your Project's Preset.

This is a Photoshop user forum the is also a Photoshop Elements forum. IMO If you want to replace a background on a still image the chroma key color you should use is White or Gray. When the subject is complex like hair blowing in the wind you will always need to deal with chroma key spill. White can be eliminated with blending and gray will blend and have little effect in the color. White and gray backgrounds will not cause a color cast in you exposure..
You may get a better reply in the elements forum. User there are familiar with what tools Elements has. Photoshop may have some selection tools not available in elements.

I'm new to photoshop, and I can't tell which version of photoshop to get? Do I get elements 11, or cs6?
I don't have a massive budget, as I am new, but I want to be able to start editing pictures. Please can someone advise which I should get?I'm very confused with how many different types of programmes are available!

PSE11 is a good start but you could also try Corel's product from this link: <http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4900067> Personally, I prefer corel's product and it is priced very competitively at Amazon. They also have an ultimate version but not sure if you need that.

I'm not sure but it sounds a lot like the question I posed to the forum a little later today. It may be that the newer versions of PSE are not compatible with transfering all the Categories, Sub Categories and Tags from versions up to PSE 10. I am presently using PSE 10 because I couldn't figure out how to save all the organization I have put into Elements over the past 10 years or so.
I'm hoping for an answer to my question.

Adobe Photoshop Express Organizer and Elements 10 Organizer

This question has appeared in previous posts, and remains un-answered, so I will try again.
I had Elements 9 installed on a laptop which was running out of steam. I have a subscription for 20 GB online storage, and have about 3.5 GB of pictures on-line. I have now purchased an upgrade to Elements 10, but on a an iMac12,2 with a bunch of disk. I can see my online catalog with the Photoshop Express Organizer, but can't figure out how to access the same catalog from Elements Organizer 10.
It would be great if Elements Organizer 10 could show the same catalog for me as Photoshop Express Organizer. Is there any way to do this ?

Are you signed in with your adobe id (the photoshop.com account ) in your Elements 10 Organizer on Mac ?
If yes , then go to Edit> Preferences>Backup Synchronization . Choose to backup/sync entire catalog .
Also, I would like to add this option for online synchronization is available only when PSE is installed with country specified as US. Hope it helps.

Cannot modify layers of ex-photoshop files in PS Elements?

I had the trial version of Photoshop full during a month... Then I purchased PS Element.
I want to continue the work on one file but there is a problem.
In this psd file, there were layers and layers in folders (i made those in Photoshop CC free trial version). In Elements, when I open the file, all the layers and folders are linked and I cannot open the folders.
Anybody have an issue on this problem?

Thanks but it does not help me. The example you are talking about seems to be related to files created in PS Elements.
My problem concerns files made in Photoshop CC that I want to open in Photoshop Elements.
As you can see in the image below, all layers and folders are linked. It is not possible to "un-link" them. Si, it is not possible to work on a single layer.
Even worst, you can see the pen with a mark on beside the folders wich meens that I cannot open the folder, modify it, or edit it.
In fact, the only option I got on the folder is to erase it, rename it or duplicate it (and if I do so, the new folder is still not editable).
And for the hole thing, the only modification I can make is to merge all the layers. No particular modificationn on a single layer or folder...
Is there any issue on this?

Habe neu Premiere Elements 12 installiert; das bestehende Photoshop 6.0 wurde nicht automatisch übernommen. Wie kann ich Kataloge oder Alben am einfachsten èbertragen??

Konnte das Problem selber lösen - anscheinend hat es mit dem Windows-Installer ein Problem gegeben. Zur Reparatur habe ich das Programm "Windows Repair" von Tweaking.com installiert und ausgeführt. Danach war die Installation ohne Probleme möglich.
Netter Nebeneffekt, nachdem ich das Prohramm laufen hab lassen, läuft Windos stabiler
Vielleicht hilft das auch anderen Nutzern, die ähnliche Probleme haben.

Photoshop CS2 vs. Elements 3.0

Me gustaria que alguien expusiera las grandes diferencias entre ambos, o bien, las limitaciones de Elements respecto de CS2. Me gustaria saber esto porque la diferencia de precios es enorme y ahora que tengo que adquirir un software estoy pensandola.
Como referencia he de decir que he usado photoshop CS con un amigo, mientras que Elements no lo conozco.

Creo que una manera mas simple de explicarte las diferencias es que Photoshop CS2 es un programa profesional y Elements es un programa mas que nada de organizacion, de retoque mas automatizado, con el podras tener mucho control de tus arhcivos de una manera mas de "hogar" por asi decirlo. Desde ya, si querés un programa para trabajar de manera profesional, Photoshop es el ideal y mas utilizado del mundo, pero si eres un usuario "normal" sacarás mas provecho del elements, con el cual no necesitaras grandes conocimientos para poder usarlo.

Photoshop Elements, despite its name, is not Photoshop.
Photoshop Elements 11 and Photoshop CS5 have nothing to do with each other, so you cannot call Photoshop Elements 11 "the old one" and CS5 "the new one".
They will not interfere with each other.
Unlike Elements, Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its long and steep learning curve. If you are used to Elements, you probably want to keep it until you decide whether the full version of Photoshop is suitable for you.
One caveat: Adobe hasn't been selling CS5 for well over a year. Make sure you bought a legitimate copy you can run legally, as it absolutely requires not just registration but activation.
If you bought CS5 from a private party who has used its serial number to upgrade (to CS6 or to CC) then you would have an illegal copy of Photoshop that you cannot run.
