    Hi there,
Sorry for the inconvenience. The first troubleshooting for this error is to update the Adobe Application Manager. Please install the latest version of Adobe Application manager from the below link and try to start the installation.

Revert back if you are getting the same error. Please also mention the version of the product, the platform name and version that you are using.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Installation Question

How can I tell if my software installed properly? The software came with three discs, and it only installed the first disc. I am new to Photoshop, and do not know if my software installed properly? Can anyone help?

    Gautham K,
    Thank you for your quick replies. I have checked,and my OS is indeed 64 bit. I have been using the 32 bit version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, since I installed it last evening. I have a few quick questions;
Will I loose any functionality if I stay with the 32 bit version versus un-installing and installing the 64 bit version from disc 2?
If I decide to un-install, and re-install from disc 2, will there be any software registration issues (as I have already registered the software)?
Thanks again for all of your help.
    Jim

  • How I can repair my trial photoshop elements 12 installation?

I've seen installation problems, but I do not think my case has already been reported .
I had installed the trial version of photoshop elements and premiere elements 12 .
I had no problems updating to 12.1 photoshop elements.
premiere elements has been updated , but photoshop does not do : it stops after downloading the file , and then talk about empty folder.
I uninstalled everything and installed again : I installed premiere elements , but not photoshop elements.
During installation, at some point appears
    Adobe photoshop elements 12
    Could not open key

Make sure you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 - Installation
I tried again , but nothing changes .
I did a registry cleaner by removing the keys from Adobe. Nothing to do .
Now I can not even install the Adobe download assistant ( I thought maybe the evening corrupt copy ) .
    What can you do ?
    thanks

    Addendum
I have identified in the windows registry key shown in the error message.
But you can not delete nor change the permissions to delete it.

  • Retry of unsuccessful installation of Photoshop Elements fails because it cannot find files which it believes to be present in order to remove them first.

W7 CD of both Photoshop Element and Premiere Elements 12:  Could get the Organizer of Photoshop installed and working but could not install the editor completely; Premiere Elements seemed to install OK but I was at the time only interested in using Photoshop so did not verify this.  Read instructions in Troubleshoot Installation, and for convenience dragged the CD files to the C Drive.  I then re-ran the installation process, which initially tries to uninstall the existing installation but this failed as it stated that some files were in use.  I ended up uninstalling Premiere Elements because of the shared components but this made no difference.  I used Windows Remove Programs tool but it stated that some files were in use so could not be removed.  I used autoruns to search for and prevent from launching at Startup, all Adobe s/w, then searched for and tried to remove all Photoshop files but got the same message.  I have subsequently discovered that I need to remove them in a specific order, next I ran CCleaner to clear the registry.  Still the same problem, so tried the install from a Clean Boot.  Same problem, the wording is currently Error 2343 Specified Path is empty.  I re-installed Premiere Elements which appears again to be OK before try to re-install Photoshop Elements - the same error message appears.  The Start search box finds 3 register entries for Photoshop but no files.  The register entries date are from earlier installation attempts on different dates: cc_20141016_211910.reg     ......_141008.reg   .........._213127   Should these be manually deleted?  Any other suggestions?

    Thank you very much.
I did uninstall Adobe Air, Adobe Reader XI and another Adobe product, rebooted, and after this the installation was possible with no problems!

  • Photoshop elements 11 installer failed to initialize

I am attempting to install photoshop elements 11 on a macbook, and am getting an error message "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."
I downloaded Adobe Support Advisor, and it reported only the following error (although it is repeated many times):
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 11.0 cpsid_90243r4: Error DW020 or DW050 occurs during installation - Creative Suite 5.5, Flash CS5.5, Flash Builder 4.5
Click here for details and corrective actions related to this issue.
    System Information :
    Operating System = OS X 10.8.2 (12C2034)
    Locale = en
I followed the link for "details and corrective actions" - the link is http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/installation-error-dw050-dw020-cs5.html - and it simply says "You can ignore this error and launch the products you were installing" but the product did not install.
How can I fix this so that it will let me install the product?
    Thanks in advance

It appears that the Adobe Support Advisor was unable to detect the error which caused your installation failure.  Please review your installation logs manually.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

OpenDirectoryDude is this related to the other discussion you started at http://forums.adobe.com/message/5773847#5773847?  In that discussion you were trying to install Photoshop Elements 6.0 and faced difficulties.  You then stated that Photoshop Elements 11 did install successfully.  Is there a reason which you are now also trying to install Photoshop Elements 9?
To diagnose why Photoshop Elements 9 is failing to install you will want to review the installation log files.  Please see Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you locate to this discussion.

  • Photoshop Elements 13 Installation Failed - Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure

I bought and downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 from Amazon, which would seem to be a legitimate source. Everything runs smoothly, and seems correct up until the point of installation, when this happens after the installation process reaches 99%. The message simply reads: "The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit." This doesn't seem right. What is going on? How can I successfully install Elements?

  • Photoshop Elements 12 installation error on windows causing rollback-help needed please

I am installing Photoshop Elements 12 on my windows laptop. When almost done an error occurs and it starts rollback and the installation fails. I consulted the troubleshooting guide which suggests to go to C://Program Files(x86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp and delete the files PDAppFlex.swf and PDAppFlex-app.xml .I have managed to go to Program Filesx86, Common Files, Adobe, but then the folder OOBE is absent. Within the Adobe folder I have AAMUpdaterinventry, Acrobat, Acrobat PCD, Help, PCF, SL Cache and Updater6. The files suggested to delete before retrying installation are not present in any of these folders.
Has anybody any ideas on what I should do in order to complete my installation.
    Thanks very much,
    Tim

Without proper detailed system information nobody can know what is going on. Also try to find the pertinent info from the install logs.
