Photoshop Layering Bug with Multi-language discs
I have searched and couldn't find information regarding this problem.
I am in the process of converting projects created in DVDSP1.52 that were multi-lingual and used layered menus created in Photoshop. Projects are moved into DVDSP3.02 where the language tags for a language menu are reset so they will work properly.
When projects are converted in DVDSP3.02, menu layers behave normally until I change the languages outside of the Simulator. As soon as this is done, the layers ALL turn on. I can reset them to their proper settings manually but the settings will not hold.
This isn't really a problem as long as I have the disc behaving EXACTLY the way I want it to in DVDSP1.52 before translation and I don't need to overhaul some other aspect of the project that would require me to toggle the displayed languages.
However, I forsee a point in time where I will have to work on this library further and the translated projects would be my starting point.
Has anyone experienced these issues?
Does upgrading to DVDSP4 resolve this bug?

3.1EA2 Old bug with German language settings still exists
In the past I wrote several times about a bug in SQL Developer when running in German language mode. This bug is still not fixed in 3.1 EA2:
In new folders for user definded reports only the options "Kopieren" and "Speichern unter ..." ('Copy' and 'Cave as') are available, when SQL-Deverloper runs in German language mode. Other options like "Bearbeiten, Neuer Ordner, Neuer Bericht, Ausschneiden, Einfügen, Löschen" (Edit, New Folder, New Report, Cut, Paste, Delete) are missing. A workaround is to force language to English with the line
AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
in sqldeveloper.conf

SCCM deployment Win7 with multi language pack & software update languages
In our company we have a running SCCM infrastructure and deploy Windows 7 x64 (en) with all language packs. Now we integrate the software updates management process into SCCM.
My question is: Do we need to download and synchronize the software updates in all available languages or is English enough?

We don’t suggest deploying all language packages in one time. You may deploy default language and let users choose which language
package to install in Windows Update to save the network traffic.

PLD - Marketing Documents with multi-language

Multi-Language Support - Select to enable the Multi-Language Support function in the company.
Use this function to translate field names in SAP Business One to foreign languages and print them in documents you send to foreign business partners.

I've been using iTunes for about 3 years, and I recently bought Stadium Arcadium and ripped it to my computer and added it to my iTunes library. I'm pretty meticulous with my ID tags so I naturally thought to add which disc was which through the iTunes editor (Disc blank of blank). When I uploaded it to my iPod (1G 4GB Nano), I noticed that when I went through the menu to the artist, I no longer had the basic "All, *album name*, *album name*, etc." that I had for other artists, it simply jumped straight into the album. This concerns me because I've also got some singles on my iPod that I can no longer get to. I found that renaming the album name to whatever disc it was (e.g. Stadium Arcadium CD 1) and getting rid of the "Disc 1 of 2" in the tag solved the problem, but I was wondering if anyone else had this same problem?
-SamI have quite a few box sets, and I wished to see them all under a single Album icon/image, with Disc 1, 2, etc. I tried a few approaches and spoke with Apple support too. My conclusion is that iTunes as a product/program has gotten so big, and is used so pervasively, and in such complex combinations (especially if you are a Match subscriber), that it almost has an organic set of actions, rather than robotic. I know that sounds odd, but Apple nearly admitted to such, suggesting in one of my issues, we just "wait it out..."
Regarding the multilpe CD issue, first I found it helpful while loading CDs to be signed out of iTunes. This in essence turns off Genius and Match, and allows you to deal solely with iTunes (local) and the CDs you are loading. Next, note how iTunes reads the meta/data file for the disk. It is at the mercy of the CD mfg, and there is not always consistency in the title text. For example, I had part of a 8-CD box say "Dvorak:" another part say "Dvorak - " and another part with either the colon or dash. After loading, I went into Get Info, and standardized on the use of the dash - and verified the order, disk 1 of 8, 2 of 8, etc. and then all the CDs loaded under a single Album heading as I understand you are looking to do. Other CDs had an embedded [Disk 1], and [Disk 2] in the title. You must remove these from the title, in order for iTunes to file them together and then make use of the "x of y" fields.
After loading, you can sign into iTunes and do Genius - then Load Album Artwork, and then Match. It doesnot make complete sense to me, but doing it this way gave me the results I wanted, which seem to be the same as the results you are looking for. Also, if the initial load have been messed up by iTunes/Match etc, you may need to delete the album and redo, playing attention to the steps described above. Good luck. -
Problems with Multi-language Translation (OMLT/MLT1)
SAP B1 logon takes a lot of time when a user logs on to a database with many translations.
The logon time seems to increase exponentially with the number of records in the mlt tables.
For the moment we have translated only one field in 2 languages (ItemName of OITM)
- there are 20000 articles in the database, translated into 2 languages -> 40000 records in mlt1.
Our customer will have 50000 articles translated into 4 languages when he goes live.
Here are some logon times

When using the sql profiler, the last statement just before the client seems to hang is:
SELECT T0.* FROM [dbo].[MLT1] T0 ORDER BY T0.TranEntry,T0.LangCode
Then, after the elapsed logon time, the next statement is
SELECT T0.* FROM [dbo].[CHEN] T0 ORDER BY T0.Component,T0.ID
So it seems that all the translations are read at logon time, and stored in a very inefficient way.
We have the same results when we connect to the database via the DI-API.
Does anyone know if there is a fix available (our current version: SBO 2005A SP:0 PL:06I think the problem has been identified - <u>should</u> be possible to solve in short-term (no guarantee )...

The bug - which caused most of the trouble - had been fixed in 2006 - connection time has gone down to about 1/50!
However, the design (loading translations when logging on) has not been changed so far. Subsequently using a large number of translations may still cause connection times which may be considered "too long". -
Help with Mavericks crashes Photoshop CC & bugs with Illustrator CC?
Have I missed an update specifically for CC users who have upgraded to Mavericks? Really wishing I had held off on the upgrade to the OS - luckily my CS4 is still compatible with the java update, however had just purchased the CC license, and wanted to use the new apps - now Photoshop CC crashes on launch (havent successfully opened one file in it without having to force quit it) and Illustrator CC bounced for a while then stopped. Randomly five minutes later the app launched. I quit it then re-opened to check for lag again, seemed fine - but then switched between that app and another, then returned to Illustrator CC and took ages for it to open. I am on a 3.4GHz intel core i7 iMac with 16GB memory 1600mhz ddr3, it shouldn't be having any lag problems, and is only a couple months old.
OK I found a file in Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports called a .hang file which is really long:

Launch Pad bug with Multi-Monitors in Mavericks...
I noticed something while trying to use a two monitor setup with Mavericks 10.9. After moving from the primary laptop monitor to the secondary monitor, I noticed that after clicking in the screen to make it the active screen that the LaunchPad gesture would not work. From there I proceeded to drag the pointer down to access the Dock. I noticed after touching the Dock in the secondary monitor, then LaunchPad gesture would work. If I try the LaunchPad gesture before touching the dock, the system brings up LaunchPad in the screen of the previously active monitor. I noticed the same senario when moving from the secondary monitor back to the primary monitor. So, in a nut shell:
1.) When moving from one active monitor screen to another, click in the inactive screen to make it the active screen.
2.) Move pointer to the Dock (wait for Dock to rise).
3.) After the first two steps, THEN the LaunchPad gesture can be used in the now active monitor.
Has anyone else noticed this? Now a big deal but it is an annoyance I cannot believe no one else has seen.Thank you! Your solution worked for me.
It seems to be a bug in multimonitors. -
Livestream with multi language
I have tried to follow the steps in this article:Implementing late-binding audio with Adobe Media Server for HTTP Dynamic Streaming and HTTP Live Streaming | Adobe Devel… but i think i am doing something wrong. For a church, i am creating a livestream with the translation in 3 languages. So i am streaming via rtmp the video to livepkgr. Ok so far, in the videoplayer i can see the video. But when i follow the explanation of the link above, i loose myself. This is what i am doing: With another FME i encode in rtmp just the wanted audio signal ....and here comes my problem: i name it for example language1.f4m, do the same with language 2 and then i create the manifest file. Now, when i put that manifest file in a player, it says: can not play file or rendering failed, or some similar error. Is there a HOWTO that explanes the process a little better, or from beginning to the end?

The article What’s a kernel panic describes the phenomenon you are experiencing. Kernel panics are sometimes caused by failing or conflicting hardware, like new RAM modules, a new HDD, an Airport card etc.
Dr. Smoke's FAQ Resolving Kernel Panics has helpful ideas on how to deal with it. Sometimes if you are able to locate the kernel log it can be helpful in determining the cause.

Search bug with dutch language.
Yesterday, I ran into a basic search bug.
I create a dutch content area, and place a text item on it. When I search for the title of this item zero results are found.
When I place an item on an english CA (voorbeeldinhoudsgebied=sample content area), the search works fine.
I've logged a TAR and bug 1679678 is created.
Does anybody know a workaround for this problem?
I've done no testing on other languages.

Use SAP Standard transaction with multi-language
Hi,
we have some problems to use standard SAP transaction (like S_ALR_87012082 transaction) the standard Vendor balance, with vendor Master Data.
I explain, we have some vendors with french, english names (writing in French, English words) in LFA1-NAME field. But in the same times, the Russian accounting requirements are to write all in Cyrillics
caracters and the name too, on paper and transactions.
So how we can do to edit vendor in French for french users, in English for English user and Cyrillic for Russian users ?
We try to create an International versions in 'R' (cyrillic version), but we have the same result. It's normal, because the program select LFA1-NAME field.
So, we have to find one solution quickly for the next accounting closing.

I have a situation where I enter Traditonal Chinese character from a mobile device directly into a ms sql 200 server.
When I use query Analyzer to view the data, everything is correct
When this data are display on the jsp pages its not readable.
I have tried serveral conversion with no luck.

The problem can be simulated by entering a string of chinese charater
into sql2000 via query anlayzer of course with the col as nvarchar
and insert with an N before the characterset.

30EA3: German language bug with user defined reports still not fixed
In 30EA2: Limited folder functionality with German language
I wrote about a bug in 30EA2. Was this message noticed by the developers?
The bug still exists in 30EA3.
In new folders for user definded reports only the options "Kopieren" and "Exportieren" (copy and export) are available, when SQL-Deverloper runs in German language mode.
A workaround is to force language to English with the line
AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
in sqldeveloper.confI made a new thread for the same bug in 3.1EA2:

I know it is supported in 3.0.7, but what about 3.0.6?
Furthermore, I heard there are knowns problems with 3.0.7 language support.
Is it worth waiting 3.0.8 or can we pretty safely use 3.0.7?

I've used a US developed program with multi-language support for years in Win XT and Win 7. As the program now supports win 8.1. I've upgraded to 8.1. and the new release of the program. However it will not work properly and the reason given is
that my version of 8.1. has a different core language compared with what the program uses and this version is not multi-language supported. Now I wonder if there are various versions of the core language in 8.1. or is the core
language unique, supported by various language packets for menu's, guiding texts, etc. Why do I then need a multi-language supported program? Where can I put this question?
