Photoshop updates

I ran the CC updater today (19 June 2014). I now have Photoshop CC (14.2.1 x32 and x64) and Photoshop CC 2014 (20140508.r.58 x64) installed on my system (Win7 x64). Will uninstalling Photoshop CC have any impact on running v2014?

It shouldn't have any impact, but until you know everything works well for you in the new release, you might want to keep it.  See this link for info:

  • Getting error U44M1P7 on installing Photoshop update 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud

    Hi,
I'm getting errorcode U44M1P7 on installing Photoshop update 13.1.2 for creative cloud.
Anyone having the same problem or better..... anyone knows the solution ?
    Gr. Jeroen Les

    Sorry to bother you.
I could find the answer after searching previous posts about this language problem.
Had to change my language in AAM profile and then download PS CS6 again ( english version ).
Then open the actual Photoshop and in preferences > interface you can besides the Dutch also option for English.
    restart application and Voila.

  • Problems with Photoshop Updates (12.0.3, 12.0.4)

When i tried to install the photoshop updates 12.0.3 and 12.0.4, it doesn't worked (win7, 64bit). So i reinstalled photoshop and tried again to install the updates, but it failed again. After ps deinstallation and installation, the update of the clean version 12.0  from within photoshop now worked and i got a 12.0.4 version.
But what's about the updates before (12.0.1/2/3) ?  Must i install them too ?  Must it be installed before the 12.0.4 ?  Where can i find the download-files for the updates 12.0.1 and 12.0.2 ?  Why failed the installation of the update 12.0.3 again (after the 12.0.4 install) ?
    thx.

3.—There were many other users who had this problem with 8.5, too. I beginning to think Adobe doesn't really care for users who haven't joined the CC bandwagon.
1.— That just means your install is messed up.  It works on any properly maintained system I've tried so far.  Is Photoshop updated to CS6 13.0.6?
2.— After downloading, did you decompress the download and mounted the .dmg file on your desktop AND ACTUALLY installed the new ACR plug-in?  It DOES NOT magically get installed, you know.

  • Photoshop update

    Hey everyone.
I created a PSD document this morning. Just a few moments ago I was notified that my Photoshop had updated. I tried to open the file that I created this morning and an error message popped up saying this file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop. This is part of my final exam and I really need a way to make this compatible or find a way to open it and re-save it as a compatible version.... Anyone?

That message usually indicates you have a corrupted, irretrievably damaged image file.
You need to go to your backup file.
The fact that you noticed this after a Photoshop update is probably just a coincidence.
If there are no privacy concerns, you can upload a copy of your file to the FTP space of your choice (such as Dropbox, yousendit.com) and post the public link to it here so that others can take a look at it.
You may be able to open the flattened composite in Illustrator, but your layers are most likely toast.
If you are on a Mac, try downloading a trial version of GraphicConverter.  If that application doesn't open a given file, my experience is that nothing else will.

  • Extensions Load Slow (Mac) After Latest Photoshop Update

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the below:
(On Mac - Mavericks) The latest Photoshop CC 2014 update has slowed down the loading of my two extension (these are extensions I have created in HTML5). Prior to the update they loaded fine. Also, when I uninstalled one of the extensions and then reinstall it I get error code -180 (no documentation on this error code), I click ok and then open Photoshop and the extension loads (but slow) and when I quit Extension Manger and reopen it the extension shows it is loaded.
No problems with the extension in Windows 7 after the Photoshop update. The extensions load as before the update.
Also, error code -180 is a mystery. I have searched the web and can find no reference to it. Any idea where Adobe lists their error codes?
Any insights on this issue will be appreciated - Sam
PS - When one of my extension pallets displays a blank window, I click in the pallet and the extension loads. Strange!

Please post your problem to Photoshop General Discussion so that it can reach more people and get better support.

I can get into the The Photoshop that's not (64 bit) to start a new file, but when I try to reopen that file or open an old one I get the above error. I need my files...Help

  • I am having problems installing the 13.0.2 Photoshop update

    Jeff A Wright wrote:
I have stated this thread for users who are facing difficulty locating the Photoshop 13.1 and Illustrator 16.2 update.  Please begin by going to Help>Deactivate and then close and reopen Photoshop.  When you reopen please choose the License this Software option and enter the Adobe ID tied to your subscription.  If you are asked for a serial number please contact our support team to verify your subscription status.
If you continue to face difficulties please respond to this thread with the operating system you are using and which updates you are unable to locate.
Having difficulties getting any updates for my CS6 Design/Web Premium apps.  I followed a link from another thread to this forum in hopes of help.  I just deactivated and reactivated Photoshop.  Still it shows no updates, and I know there is a 13.0.2 available.  My other computer, Mac Pro, with the same installed, updated just fine last night.  Even had the Adobe logo in the menu bar with indication of an update.  It updated Photoshop to the 13.0.2.
The problem computer is a MacBook Pro 8,2, running OS X 10.8.2, 8 GB RAM.  A little utility I use to keep my software up to date, MacUpdate's desktop, shows more of CS6 apps with updates. This is only getting worse as updates are not able to be installed.  Not having any issues, yet, using the apps but the updates are there for a reason.
I just tried the suggestion (Deactivate, close, reopen) re-entered the license/serial #, still no updates.  If I launch the Application Manager from the Utilities/Application Manager/Core/Application Manager all my CS6 apps show "Try" - as if I don't have a registered version.
    I'm up for suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Tom
PS: I can't even uninstall and reinstall at this point (as noted above someone was advised by support).

    Jeff A Wright wrote:
Gleber909 Golf25radioman is choosing Help>Deactivate this is what removed his serial number and activation information.
Golf25radioman I am sorry but I am having a really hard time following your posting and issue as you are in multiple threads.  If you do not subscribe to the Creative Cloud then the Photoshop 13.1 update is not applicable to you.  The update you are looking for is the 13.0.2 update.  I might recommend you contact our support team to work with them directly.
I will discontinue to post in multiple threads when I can find out what's wrong with my CS6 Design/Web Premium (expensive by the way).  If I can't find an answer in one place I'll go to another.  Or guide me to where I should be posting.  Thankfully I can still use my CS6 apps (as I read in one post a user couldn't after trying to fix his problem).  But, they do release app updates for a reason, yes?  Well if I can't install them I do have a problem that probably will only get worse.  I have a pretty good ability to resolve issues, and come here when nothing I've tried works.
My apologies if posting in more than one thread is causing problems.  I don't see how my posts are hard to follow, I thought I was quite explanatory.  I do believe I actually have more than one problem/issue going on now.  Still looking for resolution...

  • Photoshop update download error

    I receive this message when I download updates;
    Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
    Extension Manager 6.0.4 Update
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
    Any idea what it means?

As I mentioned on another discussion thread -
Once the update failed I could no longer launch Photoshop CS6. I got a dialogue box that popped up saying "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working." I tried a number of things, including trying to reinstall Photoshop CS6. Maybe I did something wrong but I couldn't get any joy. Luckily, I had a recent Drive image which I restored and got my lovey Photoshop back again.
I then did as someone suggested and attempted to update from within Photoshop itself. Unfortunately, the same horrible result. Have just restored my drive again and will not try to install update 13.1.2 until I know that the problem has been addressed and fixed by Adobe.
By the way, as my attempt to reinstall Photoshop, as per the Adobe suggestion, didn't help, should I have reinstalled the entire Creative Suite Master Collection? If that is what I need to do then I will most definitely forgo this update.
I just had a look at what this update is supposed to do. It apparently gets rid of a bug  that when you open a copy of Photoshop CS6 that you purchased, a notice displays that you can try this product for 30 days. As I don't have this issue, I wonder why I got the update anyway. Maybe that is why it is causing so much angst. It is supposed to fix a specific problem that I don't have.
I suggest that if, like me, you don't have this "Trial Screen Display" bug, don't install the update.

  • Photoshop update in Adobe Creative Cloud fails

Each time I open Adobe Creative Cloud there is an update for Photoshop. When I click on the update it is downloaded and the install process starts. When the installation of the update reaches 100%, the update always fails saying install error. Any idea what needs to be fixed?
This is occuring on a new iMac. Photoshop runs okay otherwise.

Sadly, there is no help in that link. I can send the log (unzipped or zipped) if you'd like to look. This occured on a brand new machine. But here's the summary at the end. No fatal errors, And no explanation. Attempting to install the update without the product supposedly causes this error. Guess what? The product was installed.
