  • HP Officejet 4630 cannot install driver. Windows XP Sp3

    Good evening,
I did purchase this printer earlier today and have been on this issue for a couple hours already. The box is not too far, and the printer might go back in soon !
The printer is working fine, it has been connected to my router, the light is always on, it says connected to the wifi system. The wifi connection confirmation page has printed, everything is "Success".
My problem is that anytime i try to install the drivers, the setup searches for a printer that is connected but not yet installed. It notices my printer with the good ip address, then copy a couple driver files and then tells me it fails to install the printer.
The current setup is OJ4630_198, I've found an older version and tried it but pretty much the same results, except that before it stops the installation telling me it fails to do so, it ask me to locate the HP CD on my cd drive, searching for a fax setup installation .png but fails a second later.
I'm pretty clueless, I've tried installing it manually but of course the selection of the Communication Port is somewhat tricky with a wire less printer.  I noticed there is a "Create a new port" selection available in which appears an option named "Hp Discovery Port Monitor (HP 4630 series)" which is oddly my new printer. Tried it but it doesn't work.
I've reset my router, pc and printer several times, tried assigning my printer to a different port number, all ended with the same results. It connects to my wifi, but i cannot manage to install the driver for the printer.  So my printer list is empty atm..
    Thanks for any help,
    Much appreciated

    Hi,
Please Download and run the Printer doctor tool to find and fix your problem

If about doesn't work, try to add printer manually
You can try few things which may help to resolve the issue
    1. Make sure your system is up todate. Do a windows update which helps to get alll latest update.
    2. Once step 1 done, restart PC and get the latest software from hp.com. You also can use HP installation wizard which help to get the latest software for you.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL50403/mp-122330-1/hppiw.exe
    3. If you still face the problem, you can do "Add printer wizard" manually. Here is the steps:
    1. Open Devices and Printers by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.
    2. Click Add a printer.
In the Add Printer wizard, click Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
    3. In the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next. (If your computer is connected to a network, only printers listed in Active Directory for your domain are displayed in the list.)
4.If prompted, install the printer driver on your computer by clicking Install driver. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
5 Complete the additional steps in the wizard, and then click Finish.
    Now you can start printing...
    Happy Printing.

  • Cannot install SP1 on Windows 2008 R2 64bit 0x800f0826

    Hello,
I'm having an error when I'm trying to deploy service pack 1 of Windows Server 2008 R2.
I tryed install the SP1 in a workgroup machine and the results were successful.
But when I'm trying to install in my Domain it doesn't work, I think that some GPO or registry keys are modified on their permission.
So I removed the machine from the Domain and again try install the SP1 but doesn't work either.
I think that some GPO removes permission on some files and folders.
What permissions in files or folder should I have to successful deploy of Service Pack 1 on a Windows 2008 in my Domain?
    Thanks in advice.

    Hi Ramesh,
I followed your instructions and found that there are 2 updates that were not allowing the installation of several updates that were pending.
But the Service Pack 1 of Windows 2008 R2 does not install correctly either, I always get the same error described above.

It appears the driver may be any device or update any software installed that is causing the problem.
We have uninstalled. Net Framework but the behavior is the same, you can not install SP1.

  • I cannot install iTunes on Windows 7 I receive the Error 7 (Windows Error 193).

I cannot install iTunes on Windows 7 I receive the Error 7 (Windows Error 193).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times but with no luck.  Does anyone have another option?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the above steps haven't helped try installing:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for a 32-bit core program, similar to previous 64-bit releases of iTunes.
    Or roll back to:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
    as appropriate.

  • Cannot install iTunes on windows 7 64bit

Okay, I like so many cannot install iTunes on Windows 7 64bit.
Now Orginally I got a message saying something to the effect of:
There was a problem with the install you do not have permission for something...
Through some investigating my iTunes was being installed and removing all my permissions to view and/or modify files within that folder. Even if I was logged in as admin and installed as admin all the permissions would simply block me out.
This kind of had a familar feeling as in the last few versions of iTunes I had to run as admin just to open it (this is really annoying by the way)
So I searched the net and many people were saying to uninstall everything "Apple" and try again.  So I did that.  Now I have this new message:
there is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
And again I scoured the internet for a way to fix this.  I apparently am supposed to goto Control Pannel/Programs and Features and select Apple Software Update and select repair.  The problem is that no longer exists in my programs list since I removed it in the earlier step. iTunes still refuses to install spitting out the same error forever. I tried the Microsoft "fix it" tool which is supposed to remove the Apple Software Update incomplete uninstall (which is apparently the whole problem) but it doesn't show up in the list for "fixing".
I am at a loss.  Why doesn't Apple fix this.  I cannot update my iPhone to the latest software in fear I may need to restore it. With no iTunes that is impossible.  I cannot change any of my music or do anything until this is resolved.  If/when iPhone 5 comes out I cannot get it either unless this issue is taken care of somhow.
I searched for an installer for just the Apple Software Update program But it seems to not exist as a standalone thing (it would be useful if it were though). If it were perhaps I could install it again and then successfully remove/repair it and iTunes might install finally.
Now I have had previous versions of iTunes working perfectly fine.  I do not recall which version I was using before I tried to update and fell into this abyss however.

Yes b noir. I've tried running just "iTunes64.msi" from the command-line and while it didn't produce the same error "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vender." it produced a different error in bold-type "iTunes Installer Completed" then "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured...Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified...Please run the installer again, or click Finish to exit". However, I discovered a wealth of options from the Windows Installer to try after typing "iTunes64.msi passive"...So I'll experiment some more when I have time.
P.S. I'm becoming more convinced that Apple is putting new software out there to get it debugged which was a trick that MicroSoft always seemed to do:-)

  • HT1461 I have installed the Windows 8 on my MacBook using BootCamp, but I cannot install drivers for Windows now

I have installed the Windows 8 on my MacBook using BootCamp already, but I cannot install drivers for Windows now: I've got only BootCamp 3 disk and it doesn't goo even if I start it using compatibility options. And my BootCamp on Mac didn't offer me to burn cd with drivers for windows as I saw in many instructions. How can I resolve the problem? Thanks a lot.

Go back to Boot Camp: on the 2nd page you get this:
Download the support software and as Windows is already installed uncheck the 2nd box.

  • Cannot install itunes on windows v8.1 64 bit

Cannot install iTunes on Windows v8.1 64 bit.

The old blue iTunes worked fine on my pc, then along came the new red iTunes, which initially refused to install from an auto-update notification, saying it didn't have permission to access one of its own folders (self access to all its other folders was ok).
I then tried a manual download and install as suggested by the auto-update failure dialogue and that was exactly the same - failed at the last hurdle and had to reset itself.
I then tried download and install from iTunes site and this installed without problem, but the application will not open, neither from the desktop icon with user or admin rights, nor from a direct open or run as admin from the iTunes folder .exe file.
I have tried a repair install and an aggressive uninstall to ensure any TSR components are purged followed by a clean install - no difference.
My other pc is no problem and iTunes installed and runs on there fine, so it must be a configuration problem on this pc only.
I disabled my antivirus and malware detection during the install and made an exception for iTunes, to no effect.
When selecting the app I get a blue circle for a few seconds then nothing, no dialogue or notification of problems.
    Any suggestions welcomed.

    "SupportedProviders"="BPCMDX.4"
When installing on a Windows Enterprise Server 2003 64 bits I can find the registry three path to http://HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\MDA\ODBO . On a Windows Enterprise Server 2008 64 bits I cannot see the key path.
I copy below the paragraph regarding ODBO driver from BPC 7.5 Installation Guide:
    Prerequisites
    The following software is installed:
n SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP02 (see Downloading and Installing the Central Management System
    page 15).
n Microsoft Visual C+ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update+
on the Planning and Consolidation Web server and SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise
XI 3.1 SP02 server for Voyager or a Universe. You can download the installer from
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID
    =766a6af7-ec73-40ff-b072-9112bab119c2 and choose vcredist_x86.exe.
    Procedure
    1. Download the Planning and Consolidation ODBO provider from the SAP Download area by
selecting Downloads Installations & Upgrades on the SAP Service Marketplace.
    2. Navigate to <drive>:\odbo and run the client.exe file.
    3. Add the Planning and Consolidation ODBO provider to the Data Driver by entering this registry
    setting:
    http://HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\MDA\ODBO
    "SupportedProviders"="BPCMDX.4"

I found the answer, Xcelsius 2008 SP3 is not supported on Windows Server 2008.
Before trying to use more products please check the supported platforms for all products. For example you can see in Xcelsius documentation that SAP Business Objects Xcelsius 2008 SP3 is not supported on Windows Server 2008. This means that, even if BPC 7.5M supports Windows Server 2008, it is not possible to use both BPC 7.5M and Xcelsius 2008 SP3 on a Windows Server 2008.

Apparently as a result of a Windows update, my wife's computer, which is connected to our printer through an ethernet connection via our Linksys E3000 router, lost that connection. As the driver was out of date anyway, I downloaded just the updated driver and attempted to install it after making sure all traces of the old version were removed using the HP uninstaller.
I have tried now, inummerable times to install the driver. I either get the the point wher the install asks what type of connection I have and when it shows via ethernet I get an error message about the MpsSvc (Windows 7 firewall) being stopped or the install fails generating a message that says it's missing a setupfile. I have tried disabling the Norton Internet Security firewall and AV and still the install fails. I have tried activating the Windows Firewall, via the Task Manager (with the NIS Firewall off) to no avail.
One of the solutions I found on this forum from an HP Expert was to use the full software package to install the driver. Even though I do NOT want all the programs that come bundled with it (there used to be the option of choosing what you wanted but no longer) I tried that. I again got the whole firewall scenario message and then had to uninstall all the programs that I didn't want in the first place.
There are two ther computers in the house connected wirelessly to the printer and both work fine. I even tried the wireless route with this computer to no avail.
I know I am not the only one encounter this issue as I seen other postings but I've yet to see a solution that works. I'm trying not to get both frustrated and angry but this should be that difficult a problem to resolve. Prior to both the Windows update and the driver update from HP, this computer worked fine with this printer. There is a conflict between HP's software and Windows 7. Please give me a solution that actually works.
    This question was solved.

This did not help at all. I've run a level 4 uninstall and tried both just the driver and whole package and the process halts stating that Windows Firewall must be running. I am also finding that the level 4 uninstall did not remove all traces of HP printer related programs (the C410A is the only HP device connected to this system BTW)
I have completely uninstalled Norton Internet Security and tried to activate the Windows Firewall without success. After reinstalling NIS, I consulted with a site that deals with malware issues. After several tests, they could not find any traces of rootkits, viruses or malware. So, that is not the issue.
When I tried to activate the Windows Firewall, I get the following error notice, "Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings. Error Code 0x800706d9". I continue to get this message at random intervals, "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in one minute. Please save your work". Sometimes I also get this error message as well, "Error 1722 RPC Server is unavailable."
In checking the event log I found the following errors listed, some corresponding to spontainious reboots.

Thank you for the information, Harry. If you are installing from the HP CD which came with you then let us check with downloading the All-in-One software from the hp website and then check for the result.
First of all you need to uninstall the software which was already installed on your Vista computer , then we need to download the software and install the All-in-One software.
Here are the uninstallation steps to uninstall the software from the computer:
To completely uninstall the software, run the uninstaller at level three using these steps:
    1. Turn the All-in-One off and disconnect any USB/Ethernet cable from All-in-One to computer.
    2. Insert the all-in-one CD-ROM into the computer. Cancel any installation windows that appear.
    3. Click Start on the taskbar and then click Run.
    4. In the command box type the following command and press Enter key:
    X:\Util\CCC\Uninstall_L3.bat
(X: is the CD-ROM drive letter of that the all-in-one CD-ROM is in)
Follow the above steps to uninstall the All-in-One software and then restart the computer .
Then download the software from the below web link:
    full feature software in vista
Click on the above link and open the web page, after you open the above link click on download only button and save the file onto your desktop.
Here are the instructions to install the All-in-One software:
    1) Unplug the USB cable from the back of the computer
    2) Install HP Software using downloaded file => Double click on downloaded file => Choose Run and follow the onscreen instructions
    3) Before starting the installation disable the antivirus and firewall and then proceed with the installation.
    4) Plug in the USB cable when it prompts to connect in the midway of installation
Note : It is important that you connect the USB cable only when the software prompts you while you are installing the software.
Once you install the All-in-One software check for the result and let us know.

  • Cannot install driver, cannot update driver, cannot uninstall device

Dcannot install driver, cannot update driver, cannot uninstall device7 SB Audigy4 24 bit
    Hi,
I have read the faq & tried numerous time all suggested steps, to no avail
In device mgr, I am unable to uninstall the device, services.exe goes to 50-80% cpu usage for hours & hours, without ever uninstalling my SB
If on the other hand, I try to install with one of the recommended driver, it invariably tells that it need to uninstall a previous driver, then it stays at the uninstall full sreen for hours. Oddly enough, device mgr gives me a code 8 (no driver installed)
I need to nuke whatever's left of the driver, something ctzapxx.exe has not been able to help me do so far
I have spent the better part of the last 3 days trying to get this fixed, you guys are my last hope before I reformat
    Tks in advance

  • I cannot install itunes on windows 8.1

I cannot install itunes on my Toshiba Laptop with windows 8.1. I kept getting error 7. So i removed all of the itunes files from my computer, and did everything the install troubleshooting page suggested, but it still will not install, but now instead of error 7, I am getting error 2.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • Weblogic 10.3.5 Install Failing on Windows 2008 R2 64bit Shared Drive

    I am attempting to install Weblogic 10.3.5 on a Windows 2008 R2 64bit machine.
This will be part of a scaled out OBIEE environment.
As per Oracle's instructions (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/bi.1111/e10539/c4_installing.htm#BIEIG2028) I am attempting to install the Middleware Home Directory to a shared drive (DFS).
When I get past the "Choose Product Installation Directories" I get a "Insufficient Disk Space" error saying there's 0 MB available on my shared drive, which is clearly not the case.
I have verified that I have full access to the shared directory.
I have also tried with several other non-DFS directories.
Tried with java version 1.6.0_24 Oracle JRockit build R28.1.3-11-141760-1.6.0)24-20110301-1430-windows-x86_64
Tried with java version 1.6.0)24 64-bit server (no JRockit)
    All with the same results.
I've seen some people post about getting the same error in Mac installs where the solution was to specify -d64 on the commandline, but this is not in the windows 1.6 JDK. I tried -server, but got the same results.
I've also seen some people post about getting the same error in Unix installs where the solution is to point to a different version of df which is used to check space on the file system.
I have yet to find a solution in Windows 2008 64bit that applies to me.
    Any ideas?

I was able to get around this by installing from the jar using the -Dspace.detection=false option
