Photosmart C6180 error message Paper upside down

I am trying to print labels and I get the message Paper upside down. Replace paper in tray with printing side down and hit OK.
The problem is the labels are upside down in the feed tray. How can I override this stupid (and wrong) paper check?

It’s ridiculous that there isn’t a solution for this after all this time. The printer insists that it wants to print on the back side of my labels. I even tried printing them on plain paper and then copying on to the label sheet with the same results. HP used to have really good products and support. It’s pretty obvious why the company is in trouble these days. It’s pretty simple. Make products that work and support them if they don’t. I’ve had several HP printers and computers, but I think this is my last one.

Does this error occur with all the account when you click edit? If not, based on the error,
the user account which might be removed from Active Directory or renamed accidentally. Please have a check.

Error message "paper too short to autoduplex" on Officejet Pro 8600

I have this problem with my new HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. I have standard letter size paper in Tray 1, and have all the printer setup set for letter size paper. No matter what program I print from, I recieve the error message "paper too short to auto-duplex". I click the close button, and the page prints. It is aggravating to take the extra step to close this error message every time I print. I shut the printer down for 30-60 seconds and this took the problem away. Is this normal? Will I have to do this often?

The fix is available in printer firmware (Software within the Printer). You can download it from hp.com and install from you pc to printer.

Error message when mixing down audio

Hi gang
I occasionally get an error message when mixing down audio on a FCP 5.1.4 project. Message sez: File error: the specified is open and in use by this or another application.
I've never seen this before. No other applications are open at the time this message comes up.

Thanks for your reply. No . . . and if I try a bit later in the project, it seems to render the audio fine. Maybe I'll just trash my prefs and see what happens.

Photosmart 2610 Error messages. Paper feeds OK but stops under print head

Using MS Windows 7 with the XP mode Virtual Machine
Printer worked fine in Windows 7. The problems started when I added the printer to the virtual machine so I could print XP files that worked fine; however, the printer did not work properly in Windows 7. I uninstalled the printer from the virtual machine but the problems remain in Windows 7 mode.
1. It makes no difference if I used the copy function with the computer shut off OR when I send a print job from the computer, the paper feeds into the printer and stops at the exact place to start printing but nothing happens.
2. Error message appears that it is out of paper. OR that it is the wrong size paper. I pull the paper that was at the proper place to be printed from the printer and then the error message says "Paper jam. Press OK to continue"
3. I press OK. The printer will then quickly feed in and eject 2 sheets of paper before it will actually start printing the print job. It will work fine after this as long as I print from the same document.
4. If I shut the printer off OR if I want to print from a different document then I have to start all over again at step 1 to get the printer to work.
I have already tried the typical fixes such as:
A. Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver direct from HP web site several times with both the basic driver and the complete package download.
B. I have done a partial and full reset. I have done this several times. Each time it will work fine until I try a different document of turn off the printer.
C. I have used the HP Print and Scan Doctor and it states that "everything checks out OK"
D. I have cleaned all the rollers and blown air throughout to make sure there were no bits of junk in the paper's path or blocking a sensor.
E. I have tried different brands and weights of paper (all 8½ x 11) but nothing works.
F. I was told to try new HP ink cartridges but now the printer will not align the cartridges

During the standard uninstall, some components are left behind that could cause errors in new installations. I'm betting that if you do a full software scrub, and clean up the computer a bit, the printer will install and work like it should. I'll provide the steps below. Let me know what happens.
From a download:
1. Run disk cleanup on your computer
2. Download and run the software and drivers below.

3. Once the download is done extracting, cancel the download.
4. Click the start menu.
5. Click Run.
6. Type %temp% in the run field
7. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
8. Open folder Util
9. Open folder CCC
10. Run the uninstall_ L4.bat for non-HP computers.
11. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
12. Access Program Files and Program Files(x86) and delete the HP folder under each one.
13. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
14. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

Photosmart C4680 -- Error message when attempting to scan

HELP PLEASE!! -- Have a Photosmart C4680 all-in-one and after 3+ years unable to scan. This began several months ago but recently need to scan items and if I can't fix the printer will need to purchase a new one. The printer works fine, but am unable to print ALIGNMENT copy when I change ink and when I attempt to scan I get the error message:
"The scan cannot be performed because another program has control of the HP imaging device".
As I said I have no problem printing, but am unable to scan either documents or photos. I have done EVERYTHING the FAQ troubleshooting program recommended in the HP Solution Center. I have REBOOTED, UNINSTALLED and REINSTALLED, MOVED USB CABLE TO A DIFFERENT PORT but I still get the same error message. If I can't fix the problem I am tossing this printer as soon as I run out of either Black or Color ink, but I'm definitely NOT getting another HP printer if this is what happens after a couple of years.
Can anyone solve my problem?

I would suggest doing a Level 3 uninstall and reinstall the Full Feature Software and start over.
Disconnect the USB cable. If using the USB connection.
Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%.
Delete all files and folders from the temp folder. Choose skip if any pop ups appear saying any of the files could not be deleted.
Download the software and choose to save as, save to desktop. HP Photosmart C4600 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver.
After the software downloads and extracts, open the temp folder again. Close the installation window.
Open the folder starting with 7z. (Example: 7zS2356)
Open folder Util.
Open folder CCC.
If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have anon-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
When the uninstall has completed restart the computer.
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box.
In the Open box, type msiexec /unregister, and then click OK.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box.
In the Open box, type msiexec /regserver, then click OK.
Run the Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tool. Delete files using Disk Cleanup.
Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player. Adobe Flash Player Support Center.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to see if that is causing the issue. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
Restart the computer.
Test the printer.
Then you will need to go back in and enable the start up programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.
Let me know how you make out.

CS2 gives login error message and shuts down automatically

Hi,
I hope someone can direct me to a quick fix for this because I just shot a wedding and need to be editing ASAP. I turned on PhotoShop CS2 and after loading it gives me the error message saying somehting to the effect of "Your username, login, organization, or serial key is missing or invalid. Photoshop must shut down". My copy is registered, and I have the loging info and serial , but I cannot do anything at all in the program. It doesn't give an option to re-enter my info. It just shuts itself down. I use it all the time and have had it on this computer since 06 so I have no idea why it's doing this now. Any help tonight would be great.

SMAX4PNP has an error message when closing down Windows XP Professional

I Have a Tecra A4 laptop which is approximately 4 years old ( Purchased 04/2005 ). Lately whenever I close windows, I get an error message that SMAX4PNP can not close down. It requires me to click on the "end now" button, which then makes that message go away. I then get another error message, which is never the same, which also requires me to click on the " end now " button. After I click the second "end now " button, Windows closes down. I am running Windows XP Professional SP3. Has anybody encountered the same problem and if so, how did you fix this problem?

SMax4PNP is associated with your sound hardware. You might try reinstalling the sound driver for that machine.

FS206 error message for vendor down payments

Hi All,
I m getting following error message while posting vendor down payment using F-48,
Down pmnts with taxes are not permitted when processing with jur.code
Message no. FS206
Diagnosis
Taxes may not be entered for down payments with the jurisdiction code taxation procedure.
Procedure
Change the master record of the reconciliation account for down payments. It may not be tax-relevant (leave tax category blank).
I made the tax category in GL master data as blank. However it is still asking for a tax code.
Kindly let me know if anyone has faced a similar issue earlier.

Change the "Alternative Reconciliation Account" master data (in FS00) for down payment assigned to your vendor reconciliation account.
Leave the tax field blank and do not check mark posting without tax allowed.

Register for Efax on Photosmart 7510 - error message: registration unsuccessful

I am trying to register on my Photosmart printer for efax. Error message: "Registration was unsuccessful. Check that you are connected to the internet, then try again." I have verified that Web Services are enabled and ePrint services are enabled. Wireless netwrk is connected and I can print remotely from my IPAD and laptop. Please help.

Error message when shutting down

I'm getting a message that says tss.exe is preventing your computer from shutting down. What do I do to fix this? I have to manually shut down.

You have helped me before and I'm trying to help my husband on his computer. We have this same tss.exe error message. I'm also having another problem and am wondering if this tss.exe could be causing it. I was trying to download a program from Abbottdiabetescare.com so he can monitor his blood sugars. When it is almost finished loading, it comes up with an error message that says "another installation is taking place, please finish that installation first" or something like that. I got on the phone with their tech support but they couldn't help me at all. They said it had to be some process on the computer causing it to not be able to finish. Is it this tss.exe? If so, can I just get rid of it? I have no clue what a service station does, but it sounds fairly important? Can you please advise me? His computer is a Toshiba Satellite L355-S7915. The Print function no longer seems to work in Firefox 6. When typing "Control P" or selecting Print from the file menu nothing happens. No error message, no drop down menu, nothing to select. Help!?

I can't print, print preview, nothing. I have several printers associated with this computer, including an HP, and PDF creator - none of these appear in a drop down menu, there is no error message, yet these all function fine if I am not on the internet!

No errors in error console. No effect using *. I tried using the dns name of my localhost both in the Firefox URL and in the javascript and I get exactly the same. I have spent a huge amount of time looking into this issue.
One thing I noticed is that if I use the examples on the internet (http://arunranga.com/examples/access-control/preflightInvocation.html or http://saltybeagle.com/cors/) they work in the same browser. These examples however, are accessed through HTTP proxies.
I am wondering if the issue has to do with using the same hostname just with different ports.
