PhpMyAdmin and database importing Help

Hi All,
I really need your help guys. I have been following David Powers' tutorial of how to set up a php developement enviroment for dreamweaver(using XAMPP).  Everything was going smoothly until I reached 'step 6' under title Creating a MySQL Database and User Account on the tute page. How do I import the php_test.sql? I can't find it.
Here is the tutorial link. Creating a MySQL Database  and User Account
Thank You.

Top of the page, under Sample Files is php_test.zip.
Download and extract (unzip) that.
php_test.sql is inside the extracted (unzipped) assets folder.

  • Large database import - help needed

    Friends,
We have received 1 TB external hard drive with 750 GB MS SQL server zipped backup file in it from our client. We need to import this database at our end and then write programs to retrieve data and push to another system. I am asking these questions from you
to figure out best possible way to import this database:
Ideally client would like a cloud hosted SQL server. But the concern is importing 750 GB of database into cloud hosted SQL server may take enormous amount of time. Do you think this is valid
    concern?
Another option we have is to buy a powerful machine (one with at least 16 GB RAM and Solid State Harddrives with space at least 3 TB). Then install SQL server on it and do everything on this
machine. Do you think this will be a better option? Can you suggest a server machine configuration that you know can handle database of this size? Also do such machines need any special expertise for programmers who have worked with databases of 4-6 GB on
    regular machines?
Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello
I heard that you can send your SQL backup file to Microsoft by postal office so they restore to a VM Azure running SQL Server. That could be an option.
have a look to this site

The decision of a cloud based SQL vs. an On-Prem SQL is up to you. you can get many different point of views here

  • Drop database 8.1.7.0 and then import

    Hi,
We are having Oracle database 8.1.7.0
Now, i have to drop the whole database and then import the whole database through import utility to recover the database.
Export .dmp file is available as backup for the whole database.
what are the steps for it ???
or do provide the good link to refer the topic.
    With Regards

    Hi..
Export dump can't be used to recover the database. It will provide you the data up till when it was taken. Suppose the export dump is of one day back , so you will get theconsistent data till 1 day back. Once, imported you can't perform any sort of recovery on it.
CAs you have dropped the whole database , create a new database, create all the tablespace and the users similar to the one that were previously in the old database and then use the imp utilit with fromuser touser parameters or full=y parameter.

  • Import all users and their objects without doing full database import

    Hi Guys,
I have a task to that involves Importing all existing users and their objects in production to the test database without doing a full database import - Please how do i do this?
Pls i need your help urgently.

    SQL> select * from v$version;
    BANNER
Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Product
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.1.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
I tried to import objects and data from a user from a FULL dump file. File was created with the following command:
    server is: SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on Wed May 26 15:34:05 2010
    exp full=y FILE="full.dmp" log=full.log
    Now I imported:
    imp file=full.dmp log=full.log INCTYPE=SYSTEM
    imp fromuser=user1 file=full.dmp
Results: not all the user procedures have been imported:
    SQL> select count(*) from user_procedures;
    the Original
    COUNT(*)
    134
    the current:
    select count(*) from user_procedures;
    COUNT(*)
    18
    I also tried these alternatives:
    exp tablespaces="user1_data" FILE="user1.dmp" log=user1.log
    exp LOG=user1.log TABLESPACES=user1_data FILE=user1_data.dmp
    exp LOG=user1owner.log owner=user1 FILE=user1owner.dmp
    expdp DIRECTORY=dpump_dir1 dumpfile=servdata_pump version=compatible SCHEMAS=user1
    impdp directory=data_pump_dir dumpfile=servdata_pump.dmp :

So, I do not understand why user1 objects are not imported:
see this part of the first import log:
Export file created by EXPORT:V10.02.01 via conventional path
import done in US7ASCII character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
import server uses WE8ISO8859P1 character set (possible charset conversion)
. importing SYS's objects into SYS
    . importing USER1's objects into USER1
    . . importing table .........................
    why only 18 rows?
if you have an suggestion, you are welcome, as I do not have any other idea...

    Abdussalam.A,
you mentioned that Terminal does not work at all for your MacBook Pro. What currently happens when you run Terminal? In what way does it not work?

I have a ton of documents and databases in AppleWorks v 6.0 that I can no longer open on my MacBook Pro.  Is there any way to recover this info?  Some documents can be opened and resaved with textedit, but not my database with all important addresses.

I tried Peggy's List > Select All > Copy > Paste into an AW spreadsheet suggestion.
In my case, pasting into the spreadsheet lost all text formatting (mostly text set to bold). The results of formulas were pasted, and checkboxes were pasted as "on" or "off". The DB did not contain any pop-up menus or radio buttons, but I expect they would transfer as a number showing the list position of the chosen item.
Pasting the copied List view data into a Numbers table gave a result similar to that with AppleWorks. I selected B2 as the target cell (for top left cell of the pasted data) to avoid any effects of posting into a header row or column. Bold and regular text formatting looked the same as it had in AW's List view.
Based on that, I'd slip the 'paste into an AppleWorks Spreadsheet step, and paste directly into a Numbers Table.

  • Is the only way to import large amount of data and database objects into a primary database is to shutdown the standby, turn off archive log mode, do the import, then rebuild the standby?

I have a primary database that need to import large amount of data and database objects. 1.) Do I shutdown the standby? 2.) Turn off archive log mode? 3.) Perform the import? 4.) Rebuild the standby? or is there a better way or best practice?

Instead of rebuilding the (whole) standby, you take an incremental (from SCN) backup from the Primary and restore it on the Standby.  That way, if, for example
    a. Only two out of 12 tablespaces are affected by the import, the incremental backup would effectively be only the blocks changed in those two tablespaces (and some other changes in system and undo) {provided that there are no other changes in the other ten tablespaces}
    b. if the size of the import is only 15% of the database, the incremental backup to restore to the standby is small

You don't have to install the Find My iPhone app - you need to switch the feature on in the settings on the phone.
If you go here: https://www.icloud.com/#find does your phone show up?

  • Export and re-import on same database

For one reason or another we want to do a full export and re-import all the data back into the same tablespaces... is there a command to imp to tell it to truncate and over-write all the data before importing? or do I have to manually drop all the tables? (by manual I mean write a script to do it) -- and/or drop all the schemas

Not sure, why you want to export and import back the same thing into the same database, but anyways to answer your question, yes it is possible with Oracle10g by using TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION={SKIP | APPEND | TRUNCATE | REPLACE}. With Oracle9i, you may have to generate a dynamic script to truncate tables....make sure you exclude SYS/SYSTEM tables from the truncate script.........did I say except SYS/SYSTEM and so on :-)

    HI
An entire table can be included in a database view. In this case all the fields of the included table will become fields of the view (whereby you can explicitly exclude certain fields). If new fields are included in the table or existing fields are deleted, the view is automatically adjusted to this change.
    Database view:

  • Please help if you can.  iOS 6 upgrade performed today on my iPhone.  I lost EVERYTHING but my music.  My contacts, text messages, and most importantly, my pictures and videos.  I recently saved these photos to my computer which crashed shortly after.

This upgrade caused me to lose all contacts, texts, and most importantly, my photos.  Backup seemed to have not been performed by iTunes prior to upgrade.  How can I restore any of this?

    Hi
Yes, everything is lost if you did not have a backup but if yout want to make your phone work again you need to put it into DFU restore mode. Hopefully it was just a software issue and your phone will still work
    1. plug it into itunes
    2. Hold the home button and the sleep/wake button on top until it goes black
    3. release the sleep/wake button and hold the home button until you see a notification in itunes that says "itunes has discovered a phone in recovery mode"
    4. Hit restore or download and update.

  • Importing help - not seeing drives A: and B:

I'm trying to import photos after a hard drive change and the import dialogue doesn't see my A and B drives.  It seems like the software only sees drives after C:  Both A and B are physical internal drives.
    How can I remedy this?

Historically, A: and B: were reserved for floppy drives, and LR evidently expects them to still be floppy drives, hence it doesn't look at them.
Personally, I'd assign those drives letters from higher up the alphabet.

  • Trying to import video files.  Clock on files and hit import.  Imovie says generating thumbnails and importing.  Then after loading, no movies there.  help?

My 14 year old son is trying to import videos into iMovie.  He's done this a dozen times before with no problem.  Here is what he's doing "I went to import movies, clicked on the idv files and hit import.  On iMovie it said "generating thumbnails, and importing".  Then it gave the loading sign.  When it was done, none of the movies/videos were in Imovie.  He needs to have this done as a xmas gift for a friend by Thursday .

After much research and troubleshooting, GoToMeeting replied with the final answer: We do not support the uploading of recordings to editing software. If you are having issues uploading a recording, unfortunately, we do not have tools or steps to resolve this. It is not a supported feature. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
The no longer plan to support editing of recordings made with their software.  So, we are planning to find a new meeting provider.
