PI 7.1 CTS+ - IDOC CC is transfered empty

Hi,
We have PI 7.1 SP09 configured with CTS+.
Suddenly we get a strange problem, Communication Channels idoc sender type are transfered without "Transport protocol", "Message protocol" & the description.
This prevents from the object to be activated in QA. After several checks we got that the problem appears only in CC Idoc sender type and not in other communication channels. Also, we have created a new CC and tried to transfer, it also got the problem.
The last change in our system was upgrade from PI 7.1 SP06 -> SP09.

HI Dima,
Are you using IDOC packaging? If not then there is no need of a sender IDOC channel and sender Agreement for any IDOC sender scenarios. This is because IDOC adapter resides on the ABAP stack and run on the integration server which is also present on the ABAP stack.

Idoc not getting transferred

Hi All,
I am trying to learn ALE,EDI and Idoc, what I did is I try to esatblish a connection between two clients using SALE and SM59 and then created the partner profile, now what I was trying to do is sending a customer information from one client to other using idoc, the tcode for this is BD12, on the sending system it's showing me that the idoc has been moved succesfully but when I logged on to the recieving client I didn't see my idoc over there. can anyone of you please tell what possible error is there in it and can also guide me through the step by step configurtaion of setting the network connection between two clients.

Go and check in receiving system whether the partner profile that u hav created is correct or not.... and in partner type LS -> inbound parameters -> double click message type -> check whether the process code is correct or not.

IDoc Adapter Logical System Empty

Hello All,
For one of our scenarios for Reciver IDoc adapters we are getting the error "Receiver service cannot be converted into an ALE logical system ". On further investigation it seems the logical system stays on editing the Adapter Specific Message attributes option & even after clicking the Compare with SLD Option. Can you please assist us with this issue ? Also sldcheck runs fine but sldapicust gives an error CIM_ERR_FAILED. We recently upgraded our sld and we believe this might be the issue.

The issue has been resolved. When our SLD was migrated to a newer version 1 month ago back our logical system names got cleared. We did not face this issue until yesturday since the logical system names were still cached with the business system. Yesturday a newer IDoc scenario was imported in production and which caused the business system cache to be refeshed and it started pulling the new empty logical system name causing the scenarios to fail.

Idoc error meesage contains empty quotes ' '

Hello All,
We are generating Picking confirmation to customer delivery Idoc using E1VPDLH segment and extended this segment to include Vendor/Creditor
For triggering a workflow for an error message, I entered a non existing Vendor through WE19. I expect the error could be "Vendor not exist" or something like that.
And reprocess the IDoc through the program RBDMANIN. Now the Idoc has status 51 and returns a message ( ' ' has not been created).
I think SAP tries to fill a message in the empty quotes. Can someone explain about this? Why it is giving an empty ' ' quotes

1) Check the Autorization & Security Roles
2) Might be due to error in the Application / Web service is not able to process the request message.see that the request message you are sending to the applicaton is valid .

CTS+ Configuration: Target System is empty in CTS_BROWSER (7.01 SP5)

Hi,
    I am doing CTS+ configuration. We have DEV(7.00 SP14), QAS(7.00 SP14) and SOL(7.01 SP5) system. All are dual stacks. My requirement is i have to transport DEV(Source) to QAS(Target) using SOL(Communication) system. I have confugured SOL system as a domain controller.
    I have completed all the configurations. When i do testing, i come to know Target System field is empty in CTS_BROWSER.
    Can you please suggest where i did mistake? Thanks in advance.

Hi Daniel,
if you configured a transport route which consists of DEV, QAS and PRD, this is the way a transport request will go. You are not able to change this in the transport Organizer Web UI. Only if you had configured more than one QA - e.g QA1 and QA2 - then you would be able to choose one of these two systems in Transport Organizer Web UI.

Computer stalling between transfers & emptying trash

I'm trying to organize my external hard drives by moving data around. If I copy too many GB's at a time the transfer, not the computer, freezes. No matter how long I leave it there, it will just stall a X amount of data transferred & won't move. Now I'm trying to transfer small amounts at a time, but when I'm done copying from one location to the new one, I send the old one to the trash, but now there's too much data in my trash can, that I try & empty it and it stops as well, or most of the time, never gets out of the preparing to delete phase. And if I try to stop the process, it gets stuck on stopping, won't let me restart the computer & I have to manually turn it off & back on. And some of the large folders in the trash don't give me the put back option so I can try & do smaller amounts at a time. And I know cutting & pasting from one location to another might be easier, but I don't trust it with these problems. And when I try to get the folder info, to make sure the old & new locations are the same size so I can delete the old one, it takes forever, if at all just to calculate the size of the folder. It's also sometimes been getting stuck on the little rainbow colored wheel at times, where it moves, I can move the folders that are open, but can't do anything else. I'm more used to PC's, so I don't think that if something moves it's freezing, but perhaps that IS freezing for a Mac? If anyone has any info on how to fix this I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Materials are sent from sending side successfully but havent reached at receving side.
BDM2 transaction says the IDOC is yet not transfered.I sent material 6 Hr Back.

Check in SMQ1 for the particular logical system (partner profile) if there is any inactive queue.
If you find any, activate the queue & the idocs will be transferred.

IDocs not transferred to BW

Hi Guys,
I am having a problem with loading data from CRM. The IDocs are being transferred from BW to CRM but those being sent from CRM are not arriving in BW.
The Datapackets are being transferred but not the IDocs. Has anyone faced a similar problem/ or know how to correct this?

The following basic recommendations apply in avoiding bottlenecks in the dialog processing and checking of IDocs for BW:
1. Make sure there is always sufficient DIA, that is, at least 1 DIA more than all other work processes altogether, for example, 8 DIA for a total of 15 work processes (see also note 74141).
TIP: 2 UPD process are sufficient in BW, BW does not need any UP2.
2. Unprocessed Info IDocs should be processed manually within the request in BW;in the 'Detail' tab, you can start each IDoc again by selecting 'Update manually' (right mouse button).
3. Use BD87 to check the system daily (or whenever a problem arises) for IDocs that have not yet been processed and reactivate if necessary. However, make sure beforehand that these IDocs can actually be assigned to the current status of requests.
TIP: Also check transaction SM58 for problematic tRFC entries.

ALE IDOC Transfering Material Master From One Client to Another Client

I am using ALE Idoc transfering material master from one client to another client with MATMAS msgtype the details of Idoc received on receiver side is showing message i.e no Idoc is selected at receiving side after passing partner number in WE02 transaction.
As I am new to ALE/IDOCS , I am transferring material master from one client to another client with in same system on IDES using ALE/Idocs the details of IDOC received on receiver side is showing message i.e no IDOC is selected at receiving side after passing partner number in WE02 transaction and showing current status 51 instead of 53 i.e no details of IDOC is received at receiver side using MATMAS Message-Type. Hello Naveen,
If the connection is available (test with SM59 + Connection identifier),
after choosing your Connection you can test the connection:
you might find the idocs with the daate when they where sent in SM58:
The message says in this case there was no service, there might also be other errors like "wrong password" and so on.
After solving the error, you can restart sending the idoc from this screen.

IDOC Encryption in the transferring

I use IDOC->XI->IDOC to transfer the sales order through XI. There are some sensitive information in the SO IDOC, so I am wondering there is any way to encrypt the IDOC during the transferring.

not sure how values will be displayed in PI after transfer.
Encryption at database level is implemented using the BAdI IDOC_DATA_MAPPER and the enhancement spot IDOC_DATA_CRYPT.
If it only needs to be encrypted for display check transaction WECRYPTDISPLAY.

Working on LSMW using IDoc method for processing Open Sales Orders

We are currently in middle of creation of a new instance of production for a different Business SBU. We are looking to utilise the LSMW tool using IDocs for uploading / transferring the open orders to the new box. If some one has worked on LSMW using IDocs, please get in touch and if you could share any documents on the process of utilising the LSMW tool using Idocs for any kind of conversions, it would be great. The following is a sample case.
1. Each order will have multiple segments with different qualifiers under various segments.
2. Multiple line items would be available under each order.
Issues we are currently looking to solve :
1. How do you manage to loop through the qualifiers during processing for the same segment.
2. How do you prepare the tool to recognise the multiple line items of the same order.
3. What kind of strategy needs to be used to create the input data file(s). Like, splitting the header and detail level information ?
Note : The volume of data we are looking at is somewhere around 40-60 thousand orders worldwide.

Custom status message in ALE HRMD_A IDOC

Hi,
We are using HRMD_A idoc for integrating two SAP systems. We want a custom check to be included in the ALE outbound processing, where for example if a field of an infotype is some value then we want to stop the IDOC from being transferred to the target SAP system. IDOC should stop with a custom error message in the status record. Is this possible using any of the user exits?

Requirement looks bit strange to me, if at all the IDoc is not needed to be sent for error message then why to Generate them, just filter out creation of IDocs by setting the Filters in Distribution model.
For your requirements you may want to take a look at Badi HRALE00OUTBOUND_IDOC.

Error while generating IDOC

Using IDOC I'm transferring the data from one server to another. While Creating RFC to generate an IDOC " are not mutually convertible
Bellow are the steps followed,
1. Declared the Segment parameters as ZSACL_KANBAN     LIKE     EDIDD in Tables section of Function Module
2. Since I'm transferring the records which has been customized for our org. i have created a structure similar to the structure defined in the Segment
3. after fetching the Data from the database assigned the Segment name and Data to the Table defined in the Function module
    zkanban-segnam = 'ZSEG_KANBAN'.
    zkanban-sdata = wa_finaldata.
    append zkanban.
but it throws error as wa_finaldata and zkanban are not mutually convertible.
but if i pass only one column IDOC is generating, but i want to pass 10 columns
how to define according to the Data Segment.

Now I'm able to 10 columns into SDATA but there are mismatch in field size while uploading.
Tried by removing (or) including the preceding zeros for the field but then the data are merging up.
how to concatenate the 10 different columns with the constant field size.

Issue with the configuration of http xml port for sending the idoc

      I am planning to send multiple idocs in a single file using http xml port.
Presently I am trying to send a single idoc, but am having the issue.
I am trying to create a RFC for HTTP XML port of type H i.e. HTTP Connection to ABAP System

I am trying to use the following prefix -

On testing the RFC connection, I am getting the error of page not found.
Can anyone please give me pointers for the issue.

Now I am getting a different message.
In RFC...it is giving me the following message ->
Status HTTP Response     204
Status Text     Body is empty
In case of Idoc, the status is till 02...
the error description for the idoc is --
"When transferring the IDoc by HTTP, the return code with the message '500<SAP:Error><SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category><S' has occurred.
The target address was: http://emgeccsnd1:8001/sap/xi/adapter_plain/?namespace=urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages&interf
Check whether the IDoc can be sent again.
It is unfortunately not possible to determine automatically whether the IDoc has in fact arrived in the target system and the error occurred afterwards"
I am still not able to resolve the issue.
