PI SP13 - ALM issue - BPM alerts are received many times

Hi all,
the program RSALRTPROC is scheduled every 5 minute to do :
- deliver
- escalate
the program RSALRTPROC is scheduled every week to do :
- delete
- reorganisation
While an alert isn't completed, RSALRTPROC job (deliver) sends my uncompleted BPM alerts every time it is executed ! => every 5 minutes, I receive a mail for each BPM alert
How to avoid it ? Is it a bug ?

Try selecting the Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule option in Alert Rule Definition. It might help you.

Bug: method beginning by "get" are called many times

Hi,
I have created a managed bean, and in this class, I have a method beginning by "get" like getchPasswordRendered.
I trace something with System.out.println in this method, and when I call it to set dynamically a composant property like rendered i have this trace many times.
It's called 2 times to set rendered property to FALSE, 5 times to set it to TRUE.
Can you explain to me why?

Since you did not mention which UI technology you are takling about I'll assume faces.
In this case your method get called at different times in the jsf (or adf) life cycle. To investigate this further you can use a PhaseListener and print out a message in each phase and see in which phase your getter is called.

9860 Audio issues: Ringtones & alerts work half the time!

Hi to everyone,
I have a problem with my Torch 9860: the device is not ringing half the time. My alarm & alert tones don't sound--half the time.
I've had the .373 version and no audio problems with it, then i've made an upgrade to .440 and the problems came onto my device, so wipe and a new installation of .440 and the problems were still there, again a wipe and a new installation of .474 and the problems are still there!
Is there a way to solve it? Please post your opinions, suggestions and what I haveto/should/must do to fix the issue. I'm desperate, please help me! Thanks in advance!

Email worm? A friend tells me I sent him a multiplying email this morning (via gmail), which he now has received many times. What to do?

I sent an email to a friend via gmail, which is proliferating. He has now received the same email from me more than 8 times, and counting. (I'm not using Apple Mail here in Mexico because it is cumbersome to login to RoadRunner or Me.com, whereas Gmail remains ready to go.) Any instructions on resolving this issue are gratefully received. ~eric.

Issue idoc INVOIC generated too many times

Hello everyone,
i have an issue when generating idoc each time a logistic invoice (MIRO) is created.
A message associated to the idoc INVOIC02 has been customized first in order to generate an idoc when an invoice is saved.
The problem is that each time i saved an invoice, two or three idocs INVOIC02 are created instead of one ...
Do you know what is the problem and how to solve it?

Well,
i finally found a solution by myself for those who are interested:
Go to transaction VOFM -> requirements -> output control
Create a routine for the application MR
Create a condition on the message key which ended by 000000 (IF NOT MSG_OBJKY is INITIAL AND MSG_OBJKY+18(6) EQ 000000) -> this mean you only want the header messages for the Invoice documents,
For further information do not hesitate to ask me.

My ipad will show a blue box with question marks where there are pictures, many times but not all; on top it Time togo to apple payed support?

So when i go to a webpage it shows only some pictures. Nothing on instagram or pinterest. Facebook ok though. An d then i can't download apps that need to be updated or new. I can't restore my magazine purchases. Was happening even before latest software was installed. Have reinstalled the software twice. Have restarted ipad numeroustimes. Nothing. Help!!! Or should i pay for apple support?

Try turning the router off for about 5 minutes, then turn it back on. Same with your Mac.
Then go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
For Lion v10.7x: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Now try Safari ...
Tip ... since you are running v10.7 Lion, the only way to reinstall Safari would be to use Lion Recovery. Downloading and installing Safari from the Apple support page will not work on Lion.

Form Load rules of InfoPath are executed many times

By examining the logs I saw that the “Form Load” actions of my InfoPath form in SharePoint are executed twice.
I made some tests with Fiddler and found out that the page _layouts/15/FormServer.aspx was loaded twice.
It must be related to the browser because with Chrome the same form is loaded 3 times.
This behavior is very annoying because my form is initialized using web services which of course take time to execute.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Occurs with SharePoint 2010 & 2013
IE 10
SOAP Web Services
Form published to a content type
InfoPath executed in browser without code

Based on your description, my understanding is that the infopath form load rules execute more than one time when form initialized.
As the data in the form is initialized by SOAP web service, I suggest you check if there are some post back event in the page.

Alerts are not working for Site collections in a content database

Hi,
We have been into a strange issue that alerts are not working for site collections from a particular content database. When user subscribed for the alerts, they are getting mail about their subscription but not after that for any new items/documents added
or changes happen in the list/document library.
We have tried with Immediate as well as scheduled alerts both are not working.
FYI, Alerts for all other site collections from different content database for the same web application are working without any issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like an Timer job Issue for your web application. Can you please check if these jobs are enabled and check error log for the alerts Timer jobs .Check whether the "Immediate Alerts" job is enabled for your web application.

BPM Alert Issue - P.O Created withour ref to Purch Req

Hi,
Has anyone else had any issues with the BPM alert "P.o's created without ref to a P.O";? It seems to be reporting incorrectly - it gives us sometimes P.O that were in fact created with ref to a purch req.
I've raised an OSS for this with Sap - although I'm still awaiting a response...Has anyone had the same issue described above?

Hi Kevin,
as already explained via another communication channel I think the collector is working perfectly fine. Be aware that, like most other Procurement collectors, we are checking on line item level and not only on document level. As your example shows ONLY line item 20 is created without PR reference. But your screenshot of the document itself shows line item 10 which is created with a PR reference and hence was not in our output list. Also a look in table EKPO shows that one item was created with reference and the other wasnu2019t.

Issue with Alerts using BPM : Trigerred for Successful messages also

I am working on configuring Alerts using BPM.
I have followed the below blog by Micheal.

In BPM after the receive step I have used container and control steps to capture the Idoc Number as mentioned in the blog.
I am facing an issue with it now as an Alert message is send to my Inbox even when the message is succesfully processed by the adapter.
This is a strange behaviour when we talk about Alerts.
Can somebody help me out in this?

Hi Zabiulla,
Michal explained just the basic, the logic of your process is to build by yourself. Usually an alert will be raised inside of an exception branch. You can define exceptions for critical operations, f.e. send steps or transformations, the exception will be catched by jumping to the exception branch, where you can store a suitable reaction - f.e. an alert.

Issue: Runtime Alerts not being received in Alert Framework

Hello Experts,
I have configured the required settings in ALRTCATDEF and SCOT. Also I have set up and activated the alert rules in 'Alert configuration' with suppress multiple alerts parameter checked out.
Alll the required services for receiving alerts are active in SICF. I am able to receive standard test alerts in my alert inbox and on my mail id by running the standard Alert triggering programs like RSALERTEST etc. Aler Rules ahev been set up correctly too. However I am not able to receive the actual runtime IE or AE errors that occur a t runtime while an actual message is being processed.
I am using SAP PI 7.3..
Kindly advice.

I am using single stack PI 7.3. can you guide on where to check the adapter cache alert category status, whether active or not? Also in SXI_CACHE i cannot see my Alert category listed. Is this a problem?
i checked all other settings as indicated by you and everything else looks correct.

I decided to try to do two things this morning to resolve this privacy problem. The first is, I restored my wife;s phone from itunes--in spite of the fact that the Apple tech at the Genius Bar in Tampa said that reloading the firmware is not the problem and it must be Ford. This took about 15 minutes to download, restore and verify. One must resist the temptation to disconnect the phone because I had a popup by the system tray ( I'm using Win7) that said I can now use the phone but itunes was still doing stuff so I just let it do it's thing until it (itunes) told me to use the phone. Went down to the car and my privacy issue is resolved.
I also went to syncmyride to download the version checker. A word of advice this does not work well if at all on google Chrome. I went to Explorer and it worked fine. I was on a chat line about a week ago and was told that google Chrome will work with syncmyride.com. So much for their knowledge.

Wow, just posting and it seems that there is a solution that is working for me...
What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice!
