Picking Wrong Storage Bin

Hi Expert
At the time Transfer Order creation system pick wrong bin compare with material master
i.e Material Master Bin no AA10 but system pick AA20
Please advise how to restrict this

Please check the picking strategy defined  and also please double check the fixed bin in the material master is defined for the same combination of storage type/bin.Also please check where your stock is actually located in LS24 i.e. storage type and bin.

    hope this is what you have asked for.
    Physical Warehouse Structure:
    After Goods Receipt goods reach GR area-->Say High Rack Storage/Bulk Storage/Fix Bin Area, then after GI moved to GI area.
    to elaborate more after GR-->  in GR area we have storage type say A, and respective Storage Types for High Rack Storage/Bulk Storage/Fix Bin Area can be D, E and F respectively.
    Bin Types: High bins,  Lower Bins depending upon Fast Moving Items in the storage section.
    WM in system hierarchy :-
    WH Number>Storage Type>Storage Section/Picking area>Storage Bin>Quant
    Quants are defined by --
    - Material / Batch
    - Stock Category
    - Special Stock
    - Plant / Storage Location
    - Storage Unit Number

  • TO storage bin proposed u00BF?

    I have a material with stock in storage bin 1, 2 and 3 that belong to the same storage type. The material picking strategy is F (fixed) and the material has the storage bin 1 setted in the material master.
    I created a TO and it proposed to pick from storage bin 1 and 3, while storage 2 has stock ...
    Have you idea why could be this happening? I checked the storage bin and it isn´t locked, the material has stock ... what other condition is working in storage bin determination?

    Ahh, ok! but what of all the dates that are in LQUA table is considering? I have the following, and there is not the creation date, what date are you meaning?

  • Storage Type and storage bin in MB26 pick list

    Hi,
    We want to print a pick list using MB26. The pick list should contain the warehouse number , storage type and storage bin. I have found that in the layout of MB26 pick list, we can pull these fields. However, the values of these fields are not getting pulled in the list.
    Can you please help me to understand if I need to do some setting/config so that warehouse number, storage type and storage bin can be pulled in the MB26 report.

    if it is a standard output if you go to the output type you can see what are the standard fields included in the pick list but if it is a custom one please contact your functional consultant who designed or look at the spec to see the design/mapping of fields.

  • Picking multiple quants from one storage bin

    Hello all,
    I have a client that purchases copper wire in pallets that are stored initially in storage bins.  During goods issues to production the pallets are split up and, when material is put back in the warehouse,  storage bins end up with multiple quants that are partial pallets.  When they issue goods, the system, using FIFO, picks quants from multiple bins even though one bin has sufficient quantity.  That forces the warehouse staff to pick from multiple bins rather than one. 
    Is there a way to make the system pick all of the material from a single bin even if there are multiple quants?

  • Picking from another storage bin

    During picking TO creation the system automatically determines the source storage bin from where the materials should be picked. Lets say the items to be picked are not there and cannot be picked. In this case the operator should be enabled to pick from another storage bin, however the system does not allow this. (This is via mobile data entry and in a bulk SU manages st. type).
    Is there a way to allow picking from another storage bin? If not, can the TO be created without any source determination? Even if I switch off picking strategy, the system expects entry of source bin at TO creation.

    Hi,
      With out a source storage bin , pick TO cannot be created currently. If at all you want a different source bin, you have to cancel the TO, block the current bin and then recreate the TO. That is an exceptional case and should be handled inside the system.

  • Storage bin Capacity utilization is greater than 100%

    Via LS03N, I can found that some capacity utilization is greater than 100%, this must be incorrect, what's the reason? is there any report to update the capacity utilization for storage bin?

    For the capacity checks, the remaining capacities or the used weight in the storage bin master data are updated with every putaway or picking. If you change the inspection method in the current operations or you change capacity or weight data of materials or storage unit types, you then need to make a comparison of the data. You can make this comparison with report RLS10200. First read the documentation before you start the report.

  • Not Printing the source storage bin in the layout

    As i am printing the layout to pick the goods for delivery, in which iam not getting the source storage bin for some deliveries only. sometimes its picking and some times not, what has been the reason behind it. i have take the help of an Ababper to check the conditions if any for that filed. but i cannot find any.

  • Serial Numbers in A Storage Bin

    Dear all,
    In warehouse management we have serial numbers attached to each item in the warehouse and these items are batch managed. During goods receipt serial numbers are scanned using RF scanner and a transfer order is created for each item. We have a customer table to store the details like storage location and storage bin etc when they are first scanned in. There is no problem here.
    If items are transferred from one storage bin to another using a transfer order, system is picking the serial numbers required for the transfer order posting. When corresposing material document is displayed using MB51, there is a tab for serial numbers that are included in this material document.
    Is there any way to get all the serial numbers of the items stored at Storage Bin level?

    Thanks for the reply.
    In the mean time I was talking some more people here regarding this problem. Looks like there is no one obvious place where equipment serial numbers are stored.
    Further digging in to SAP I could make out that the serial numbers get distributed to tables SER01 to SER07 based on the activity performed with key in OBJK. I think I will be able to get there.

  • Problem in Source storage bin for returs

    Hi,
    i did  PGR for a returns delivery and when i tried to create TO
    for the same system is taking the source bin as 000000000 and not the delivery number. i checked  the movement type 651 where my entries are correct ie,.. in source storage type i have given 904 and checked the field " source" . 
    can any body tell me why the system is taking 00000000 as source storage bin rather than the del no............

    and further i have gone through OSS notes, it is very helpful.
    here i would like bring one more thing to ur notice that this problem i am facing intermittently and not each and everytime.
    System is picking up delivery no sometimes and some times it is not.
    Further i'll take this oppurtunity to ask u one more question ie...
    in OMLR transaction assignment of WM-IM mov types, i have not maintained 601 mov type entry ie,... the entry IMmov type 601 and WM mov type 601 with all the fields in between....but i wonder how the system is allowing me to create TO for the delivery and reverse the same...and even i can find WM mov type 601 in delivery at the time of creating this TO......pls try to anser me how the system is automatically picking this WM mov type and allowing me to create TO........

    Hi experts,
    I have question about following situation.
    I storage goods in more than one storage bin. My storage strategy find storage bin automaticly. If the first storage bin full, strategy find second storage bin. I want that, system block the first storage bin automaticly till the first storage bin will be empty. System doesnt allow add new goods that quant.
    how can i do that?

    I explain what i need with example;
    I have 2 storage bin for my material. All this bin's capacity is 5 pcs. Now first good issue with PO about 5 pcs. this material putaway first bin. then other good issue 3 pcs. This material putaway 2nd bin. Then i remove material 3 pcs in 1st bin. As a result, i have 2 pcs material 1st bin and 3 pcs material seceond bin. My capacity is 3 pcs 1st bin and 2pcs 2nd bin.
    Now, if there is good issue same material, system doesn't allow putaway this materials to 1st bin. System block this 1st bin automaticlly. This block is automatically deleted after the last storage unit has been removed from stock (picked from the row).
    By the way, am i need batch management to implement this strategy for this material?

  • Stock transfer from storage bin to another storage bin.

    Hi,
    i would like to know the method to be followed in order to transfer the materials from one storage bin to another within the warehouse and also within a storage type.
    Also i would like to know how to transfer the material from one storage type to another.

    As everyone has mentioned above, to manually create TOs to transfer stock, use LT01 w/ movement type 999. However, this method is limited to a single material at a time.
    Depending on your scenario, you may want to set up storage type replenishment - where you regularly restock a smaller warehouse location from a larger one:
    Example: Small warehouse section with customer counter service & larger warehouse where bulk items and bulk quantities are stored
    Not sure if this is your scenario or not, but here goes:
    Requirement is to use the "Large, small" picking strategy for the receiving storage type.
    Material master records in that storage type need minimum and control quantities maintained on the WH2 tab
    Run (or schedule) program RLLNACH1 to automatically create transfer requirements to transfer stock from bulk storage to the smaller storage type - and then, depending on your config, either stop as TR or automatically post os TOs.
