Pie chart explode by grouping.

Hi,
     Again i come here with pie-chart problem. I want to explode wedges by grouping.
     For example if i give 5 values.
     1.ClassA - Boys => 15
     2.ClassB - Boys => 20
     3.ClassC - Boys => 3
     4.ClassA - Girls => 14
     5.ClassB - Girls => 20
     Pie chart need to show it as 5 pieces. But i need to separate Boys and Girls and need to show them as 2 parts.
     When i give perWedgeExplodeRadius to certain piece, that is totally explode from the chart. Insteat of that i need to explode 1 corner.

Hi all,
     i am still struggle in this. Any ides?

    Hi,
    To set the slices of your pie chart to "exploded" upon page load, the setting of 'exploded="True"' would need to be applied to each point of the data component of the chart XML. So you would need to replace the substitution string #DATA# with the customised data containing this new attribute. For example:
    <data><series><point name="ADAMS" y="1100" exploded="True"/></series></data>
    How you choose to do so is up to you, but I've outlined one possible option on my sample application, https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=36648:117, which uses PL/SQL to generate the data XML with the new attribute. As you'll see in the AnyChart online User's Guide, specifically in section Pie and Donut Chart, they've referred to a series level attribute <series exploded="True" />,but this option currently doesn't appear to be working.  I've contacted AnyChart regarding this behaviour, and will hopefully receive clarification on whether or not the documented series level attribute works.  In the meantime, applying the attribute to each point of the data series will provide the behaviour you're looking for.
    I hope this helps.

  • Distribution Point Group Status Pie Chart Incorrect

    In my SCCM 2012 R2 environment, I have only one Distribution Point Group, which contains all 20 of my DPs.
    All packages have been distributed successfully to this DP group (verified via the Content Status node and checking each package, as well as the Distribution Point Configuration Status showing all 20 DPs with the green check-mark.
    However, when I look under the Distribution Point Group Status, I see my DP group ("All DPs"), showing 20 members, but an Overall Distribution Status of "Error".  The pie chart for that group shows package status as Success: 106
    / In Progress: 0 / Failed: 163.  The pie chart for "Distribution Point Group Status" for the "All DPs" group shows the colors appropriate to these (incorrect) numbers.  If I click the "View Status" link next to the pie
    chart, the different tabs (Success, In Progress, Error, Unknown) show:
    Successfully distributed content:  20  (269 Content Items)  (last status time: today)
    Successfully processed content on distribution point:  19  (263 Content Items)  (last status time: yesterday)
    Nothing in the In Progress, Error, or Unknown tabs.
    So my question...  Why is my Distribution Point Group Status showing the group with 163 Failures, but all Distribution Points showing 100% success on all packages?  Is there a bug that causes the Distribution Point Group Status to not update?
    I've restarted the server a couple of times, and still no change.

    Hello all together!
    I've the same issue in my SCCM R2 environment.
    Has everybody an idea, how to correct this issue?
    Thanks for your reply.

  • How did Steve group exploded wedges in pie chart

    In his MacWorld keynote today, Steve showed a pie chart with 3 wedges exploded together (9:36 in, the US SmartPhone Marketshare slide). The Apple wedge is exploded, but so are the Palm, Motorola and Nokia wedges, yet they are exploded together, with no space between them. Is this possible in Keynote '08 or is Steve using unreleased features? I've tried selected all three and changing the explode value, but they separate.

    I'll post the .key file used to create that image.
    http://idisk.mac.com/makentosh-Public/multixplode.zip
    The main things to consider is:
    a) Don't move the wedges you want "connected"
    b) You'll need one "Preview Passthru" for each separately exploded bit
    So, you begin by setting up your chart with all the appropriate elements. Then, pull away the ones you DON'T want stuck together. Preview Passthru them (Copy, Open Preview, Command-N, Copy, Paste back into Keynote OR Preview Passthru for short), then use the "Draw a Shape" to click out a shape that surrounds the ones that are stuck together. Select the shape and the image and "Mask with Selected Shape". If you've only got two separated groups, move all the others back to the center, move the "attached" ones away and Preview Passthru that group, then mask it.
    You'll see how I masked all three parts in the linked Keynote file.

  • Label and legend problem in grouped month data pie chart for Crystal XI

    Post Author: mikeyplop
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Hi all, I have a problem with a pie chart I created based upon monthly figures that were grouped.  The data type is DateTime but I have modified the report to show the date as January 2007, February 2007 etc. etc.  This is all fine and appropriate as it is based on a gouping of all the data into months. However, when I chart the same data the labels and legend do not reflect this formatting.  Instead they show up as 01/2007, 02/2007 etc. etc. I have searched the forums, but was unable to find any one else who has had the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Mikey

  • Can't group slices in pie chart

    I used to be able to shift click on a number of pie slices and group them and then drag (explode) the group from the rest of the pie. Doesn't seem to work now. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for the confirmation. It was such a cool function! Disappointed to see it gone. I will post feedback. Unfortunately it seems that if the file gets opened in the '13 version it won't let you go back. When I try it says I ned a later version of Numbers!
    Thanks for the help!

  • How can I evenly space wedges from an exploded pie chart?

    I'm creating a pie chart widge exploded wedges in Illustrator CS3 but I'm having trouble keeping all the wedges aligned evenly. Does anyone have any tips on doing this? My eyeing attempt is terrible.

    I think the best way is by eye and if you are trying to make one seem as if it is especially called out then you want that one not to be evenly spaced like the others.
    Like such
    If you want them all to be equally emphasized then you will do better by eye like such
    And if you want more space then it will look a bit less consistent but no more so than any other approach and making the colors lighter is not going to resolve any geometric issues.

  • Grouping data based on period in a Pie Chart

    Version 4.1/11g
    Hi There,
    I have a Pie chart to create which basically should be based on three parameters, Error code, count(of errors) every month. The Pie chart accepts only two parameters so I have the error code and count. Was looking to also have something based on period, as in every month. Would running the chart for every month be the only option? Never used the 3d Stacked option. Can that be used for basically to show the number of errors every month grouped by error code?
    SELECT       errorcode
    ,       TRUNC (col2, 'MONTH')     AS month
    ,       COUNT (*)              AS n
    FROM       table_x
    GROUP BY  col1
    ,            TRUNC (col2, 'MONTH')
    ;Thats the normal sql query which would get the data. But was looking at using a graphical chart for the same.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

  • ActiveX and pie chart problem

    I am trying to create a bar of pie chart in Excel 2003. I am able to insert my data and create the chart, but I need to set the "SplitValue" to 6. I was able to find the property for doing this but I get an error when I run the vi (see attached).  Any thoughts?

    I think your problem is that you don't have "Index" wired for the ChartGroups property. Thus, it may be returning a collection of chart groups, but you are typecasting it to a single chart group.

  • How do I link to a table from a slice of a pie chart?

    My project manager is after me to add a feature to a pie chart built on one of my tables. The code that selects from the table for the pie chart is this:
    select 'http://apexdevapp1.ci.raleigh.nc.us:7777',activity_type,count(ID) total FROM eba_ver2_cust_activity
    where ACTIVITY_DATE BETWEEN NVL(TRIM(:P23_START_DATE), '01-JAN-2001') AND NVL(TRIM(:P23_END_DATE),
    '31-DEC-2099')
    group by activity_type,'http://apexdevapp1.ci.raleigh.nc.us:7777';
    She wants to be able to click on a slice of the pie ("activity_type") and link to another page showing a report limited to that activity_type, selected from the same table. I know how to link from one interactive report to another, but I don't know how to do it from a slice of a pie chart. Does anybody know how?
    I'd appreciate some guidance on this.

  • Interactive Reporting - Dragging a Pie Chart into a Report

    I have a report that contains about 5 charts at the end of all the tables containing data (the charts are in the report footer). I have created a new pie chart and want to drag it into the report footer as well. When I drag it in, it goes at the very beginning of the report footer. I have tried dragging it down and it seems to only want to stay on that very first page of the report footer. I am not able to move it onto a different page. How do I make this work? What I'd really like to do is add a new page in the middle of the charts and put this new chart on that new page ... but i couldn't figure out how to do that, so I was just going to drag the new chart to the very bottom of the other charts.
    Thanks.

    I had a case where I needed "extra" Report Footers. To do this I created bogus Report Group Columns in my results section with a constant value, same for all rows.
    I then used this as a Report Group in the Report Section. I turned off the Group Header and Turned On the Group Footer with a Page Break Before or After. If you have other Report Groups then you would need to make the Bogus Report Group Column before any of your business report groups.

  • Need help with SQL for Pie Chart

    I am trying to create a pie charge which would have 3 slices.
    Following sql gives me the expected values when I run the sql command:
    select
    round(avg(CATEGORY_1 + CATEGORY_2 + CATEGORY_3 + CATEGORY_4 + CATEGORY_5),0) "OD Engagements",
    round(avg(CATEGORY_6 + CATEGORY_7 + CATEGORY_13),0) "Talent Engagements",
    round(avg(CATEGORY_8 + CATEGORY_9 + CATEGORY_10 + CATEGORY_11 + CATEGORY_12),0) "Other Engagements"
    from OTD_PROJECT
    where STATUS in ('Open','Hold')
    I get 3 columns labeled: OD Engagements, Talent Engagements and Other Engagements with the correct averages based on the the data.
    I have tried several ways to try to get this to work in the SQL for a pie chart, but keep getting the invalid sql message and it won't save. I also tried saving without validation, but no data is shown on the chart at all.
    I want to have a pie, with 3 slices, one labeled OD Engagements with a value of 27, one labeled Talent Engagements with a value of 43 and one labeled Other Engagements with a value of 30. Then I want to be able to click on each pie slice to drill down to a secondary pie chart that shows the breakdown based on the categories included in that type.
    Since I am not grouping based on an existing field I an unsure what the link and label values should be in the chart sql.

    You'll need something like the below. I have no idea what the URL for the drilldown needs to be. It should create an appropriate link in your app for the particular slice. Mainly the code below breaks the SQL results into three rows rather than three columns. It may well have a syntax error since I can't test.
    select linkval  AS LINK,
           title    AS LABEL,
           calc_val AS VALUE
    FROM   (SELECT 'OD Engagements' AS title,
                   round(avg(CATEGORY_1 + CATEGORY_2 + CATEGORY_3 + CATEGORY_4 + CATEGORY_5),0) AS calc_val,
                   'f?p=???:???:' || v('APP_SESSION') || '::NO:?' AS LINKVAL
            from   OTD_PROJECT
            where  STATUS in ('Open','Hold')
            UNION ALL
            SELECT 'Talent Engagements' AS title,
                   round(avg(CATEGORY_6 + CATEGORY_7 + CATEGORY_13),0) AS calc_val,
                   'f?p=???:???:' || v('APP_SESSION') || '::NO:?' AS LINKVAL
            from   OTD_PROJECT
            where  STATUS in ('Open','Hold')
            UNION ALL
            SELECT 'Other Engagements' AS title,
                   round(avg(CATEGORY_8 + CATEGORY_9 + CATEGORY_10 + CATEGORY_11 + CATEGORY_12),0) AS calc_val,

            from   OTD_PROJECT

  • To collect small slices into a secondary, callout pie chart in SSRS 2005

    Hi Guys,
    There exists a property in pie chart in SSRS-2008 which can consolidate the small slices on pie chart. But I am unable to find the same property in SSRS-2005.
    Is this property only available in SSRS-2008 ? If yes how can we achieve the same functionality in SSRS-2005 Pie Chart ?

    Hello,
    Based on my research, the CollectedStyle property that collect small slices into one signal slice or a secondary, callout pie chart is available from Reporting Services 2008. So it is not supported in Reporting Services 2005.
    For example, you are using the query below to return the SECTION and DIVISION fields as the chart fields: SELECT SECTION , DIVISION FROM TEMP, and you want to collect small slice COUNT(DIVISION) smaller than 5 as the callout pie chart. To work around this
    issue, we can create two charts on the surface, one as the big and collected slices chart, another one as the secondary, callout pie chart. For more details, please refer to the following steps:
    We can use the query with some conditions like below to return the fields for the main chart:
    SELECT CASE
       WHEN COUNT(DIVISION) <= 5 THEN 'Other'
       WHEN COUNT(DIVISION) >5 THEN SECTION
       END  AS SECTION, COUNT(DIVISION) AS DIVISION
     FROM TEMP
    GROUP BY SECTION, DIVISION
    We can use the query like below to return the fields for the callout pie chart:
    SELECT CASE
          WHEN COUNT(DIVISION) <= 5 THEN SECTION
       END  AS SECTION, CASE
          WHEN COUNT(DIVISION) <=5 THEN COUNT( DIVISION)
       END  AS DIVISION
     FROM TEMP
    GROUP BY SECTION, DIVISION
