Pin the sequence WIP_JOB_NUMBER_S in the DB Buffer Cache

hai,
how u pin the sequence in db_buffer_cache?????
( The job numbers skip to
the next set of 100 when a user exits and then logs in)
for resolving this issue
Pin the sequence WIP_JOB_NUMBER_S in the DB Buffer Cache so it
does not get flushed.
regards
dba

how did you pin it? have you done the following
dbms_shared_pool.keep('WIP_JOB_NUMBER_S','Q').
When you shut down a database normally, either "SHUTDOWN
NORMAL" or "SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE", the database takes care of
making sure all sequences are "in sequence".
If the database experiences instance failure or a "SHUTDOWN
ABORT" statement is issued, you lose any unused cached
sequence values.

  • Scanner(Warning) : 027: Unable to read the sequence number from the Workstation object.

    Hi
We are having trouble storing inventory scans from some workstations.
We have a windows ONLY environment, with middle tier servers. (ZEN65SP1,
    W2KSP4).
Some workstations are storing fine. The Storer function is working and we
can see the storer functions for the 'good' workstations in the Inventory
    service window.
However some workstations can't store to the inventory db, but DO populate
eDir ZENworks inventory 'minimal information' but show "Scanner(Warning) :
027: Unable to read the sequence number from the Workstation object." in
    the Scan Status...
The Inventory service window shows no attempt by these workstations - it's
almost as though the scan file is not arriving (though eDir knows/displays
    the scan file name)
How does the workstation access the scandir in Windows only/middle tier
environment? Does the scan xml stream get sent to the MT via http and then
on to the scandir via CIFS?
    Any suggestions/explanations welcome!!
    Many thanks

  • 027: Unable to read the sequence number from the Workstation object

    Environment:
    NW 6.5 sp4
    Zen 6.5 sp1
We had a problem with our inventory server processing .STR files a couple
months ago - had to turn off inv. policies on workstations while we resolved
it. Now it's resolved and we're running inventory again. We have a large
number of workstations reporting this error:
027: Unable to read the sequence number from the Workstation object
They have no data in the DB, although they do have minimal scan info, and
the last scan status date matches that of the sequence number error.
I've seen this sporadically in the past and have been able to resolve it by
initiating a full scan on the individual workstation. However, that does
not seem to be making a difference this time.
Novell's troubleshooting document basically says see if the server's
running, and see if there's data for the workstation in the db. Then call
    tech support.
    Any other ideas?

The machines I'm troubleshooting have valid formats for their STR names,
but that doesn't necessarily mean they are valid STR sequence numbers.
Does removing the value in the reg key cause the STR file name to be
    recreated?

I've verified that none of our images contain the c:\zenworks history
folder, and we run a script that cleans up any zenworks items before
sysprep (i.e. makes sure there's no registration info on the
workstations, etc). Our imaging scripts also clear any ZIS info to
avoid any duplication as well, so I don't think imaging would be causing
    this.

Good tip about the hist.ini file, I didn't know about that. It does not
solve the sequence number error, but it does seem to force a full scan
of the system and cause the new scan to be stored in the DB, which was
    not happening before.

  • How to change the sequence number in the test packages?

    Hello,
I need to change the sequence number in the test packages. Currently I use "move test case." However you can only move one item at a time.
There is another option to make this change?
    Best regards,
    Elisabete

    Hi Elisabete,
Sorry, I've to acknowledge the reply from Fabricius.
That's poor in release 7.0. A former version provided a solution where it was possible to move a testcase even over pages at once.  May be SAP changed this functionality because of other problems caused by the former solution.
Therefore I am looking for a business blueprint structure meeting the logical and operational process for little need of changes in sequences.  And I create E2E-scenarios / E2E-processes as an additional structure in a project to have an easier approach in the Test Workbench.  An other option is to divide test packages into smaller ones.
I hope we can look foreward to a better and more comfortable solution in release 7.1.

  • Is there a way to create a renaming preset where the sequence starts at the number "0" zero?

What I am trying to achieve is the following:
Fro example, I am photographing a handbag and I need to rename the file using a barcode and a barcode scanner.
My sequence of images goes like this:
    Image 1: Tag shot
    Image 2: Front
    Image 3: Back
    Image 4: Inside bag
Let's say the barcode once scanned produces a code such as TRE8801AZT16-Z
Right now my current preset is "Custom Text_Image # (1)"
This results with the images being renamed as:
    TagShot: TRE8801AST16-Z_1
    Front: TRE8801AST16-Z_2
    Back: TRE8801AST16-Z_3
    Inside bag: TRE8801AST16-Z_4
What I need is the sequence to start at zero so the tag shot is _0 and my images are named like this:
    TagShot: TRE8801AST16-Z_0
    Front: TRE8801AST16-Z_1
    Back: TRE8801AST16-Z_2
    Inside bag: TRE8801AST16-Z_3
Is this possible? If yes, how?
    Thanks for the help

About as close as you can get is to right-click on a single clip and Make Multiclip Sequence. Hit OK to make an sequence out of the single clip. Open the sequence made and delete the multiclip and edit the clip you want back into the sequence.

  • What is the correct way to use Version Information from the sequence and from the deployment tool

I seem to be missing something in how the various version numbers are supposed to be used.    My end goal is to log and possibly display in the UI the version of the sequence and which installer version was used to inspect a UUT.   I have gotten most of the way there using:
How Can I Programmatically Query the Sequence File Version of My TestStand Sequence?
and logging this into the report with a function which contains:
    Parameters.UUT.AdditionalData.SetValString("Test Version",1,RunState.SequenceFile.Data.Version),
    Parameters.UUT.AdditionalData.SetFlags("",0,PropFlags_IncludeInReport)
The "Deployment Version" in the TestStand Deployment Utility auto incrementing the 3rd position of a version number  while the sequence auto increment is working on the 4th.
My first question is are these 2 version numbers in anyway supposed to be related to each other?   As it seems to me you would want those 2 reversed, I can make several installers based on sequence version X, making changes to what supporting files are also installed.
If they are not related as I suspect that they are not.  How do I programatically grabed the installer version and also log that into the result report?
is there an option to perform a custom deployment build step to log the deployment version before it builds and then reference that log at runtime of the test?

    Hi,
The sequence file version and deployment versions are not related.
You can build the installer with whatever version you want using the command line :

  • Connecting the Sequence Operator to the Mapping Output Parameter?

    my OWB Client: 10.2.0.2.8
    my OWB Repository: 10.2.0.2.0
I need to obtain a sequence number (from the Sequence Operator), then output it
using the Mapping Output Parameter, if possible.
    I have tried two things:
    1. Connect Sequence Operator nextval variable to the Mapping Output Parameter.
    This generates error:
"Table,View Or Sequence reference 'xx_SEQ.NEXTVAL' not allowed in this
    context"
    2. Join the Sequence Operator nextval variable with a source table, then
connect a port from the dataflow to Mapping Output Parameter.
    This generates error:
"Mapping Input Parameter and Mapping Output Parameter are intended to be
executed before and after the data flow of the mapping and cannot accept
inputs from any part of the data flow."
From what I have seen so far, it appears it may not be possible to use the
Sequence Operator along with the Mapping Output Parameter. If Im wrong, please
let me know of an example of how the Sequence Operator and Mapping Output
    Parameter can be connected.
    Thanks

    User -
Look at adding a Post-Mapping Process to your mapping, there you have a choice of built in functions or custom ones that could return a sequence value for you. You may have to create the sequence outside of OWB ...

  • Source monitor always inserts clips at the start of the sequence, not where the CTI is.

    Hi
When inserting a clip from the source monitor by using the keyboard shortcut or just simply right clicking the video in the source monitor and then 'insert',
the clip does not place where the CTI is in the current sequence, it always places at the very beginning of the sequence. If I insert directly from the Project Panel this does not occur and the clip is correctly placed,
I've always worked with the keyboard shortcuts in premiere like this and I recently upgraded to CS5. Is this a bug or some weird new CS5 thing? Of course there are workarounds, but Im sitting here with a few thousand clips ready to be put together. Anyone else have this problem or even better have a solution for it? Help much appreciated!

To be honest I can't recall.
There were some changes/reimplementation to CS5 keystrokes & shortcuts due to popular demand.  I think CS4 removed some perfectly good ones and replaced them with diddlysquat!

  • How to load the sequence file from the process model?

Does anyone have an example process model that loads a sequence file? The out-of-the-box process models assume the sequence file is already loaded. I want the process model to identify the UUT type and load the appropriate sequence file based on that.

    Mark,
A better solution to your question can be accomplised if you have TestStand 2.0.
Within the entry point of a process modle you can set the client sequence using Execution.ClientFile(). This is a new method of TestStand 2.0. It was specifically designed so that you could dynamically set the client sequence within the process model.
Currently the entry points in the default process models (i.e. Test UUTs and Single Pass) are configured to Show Entry Point When Client File Window is Active. This means that you must open and have active a client sequence file before you can execute one of the entry point. You probably do not want this implementation if you are going to set the client file during the entry point execution. To change this you will need to go the sequence properties of your entry point (while the sequence is open select Edit>>Sequence Properties), switch to the Model tab of the entry point's property dialog box, and enable Show Entry Point For All Windows. The entry point will then appear whether or not you have an open sequence file active.
You will need to add at least 3 steps to your entry point sequence that all use the ActiveX Automation Adapter. Remember that MUST disable Record Results for any step you add to the process model. The 3 steps will perform the following tasks:
    1) Obtains a sequence file reference of the file that you want to be the client sequence file. You will need to use the Engine.GetSequenceFileEx method. You will need a local variable (ActiveX data type) in which to store the sequence file reference.
    2) Set the client sequence file using the Execution.ClientFile property.
    3) Close the reference to the client sequence file in the Cleanup step group of your entry point sequence using Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx
I am attaching a SequenceModel.seq file (the default process model in TestStand 2.0) in which we have modified the TestUUTs entry point as described above.
Note that you'll be prompted to enter the path to your client sequence file. This is a message popup that you can delete and it was added for your review only.
    Good luck in your project,

  • I don't remember the sequence to reset the software.

Printer started hanging up mid printing.  I calcell the print and it gives an error msg re inproper shut down.  It was not shut down.  After a bit it will start printing the canceled document.  This has been an issue free workhorse for us and I would hate to loose it now.  Ti that end I thought I would do the reset procedure but don't recall how.  As near as I can recall there were several keys to hold down while turning the power on.

    Hi @KIGER,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you are trying to reset the software for your HP Photosmart 3210xi printer. I am happy to help!
If you are trying to reset the printer itself, I would start with a Hard Reset, by following this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is important to make sure that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall and not a surge protector! Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
If you mean the software on the computer then try the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.
Disable any firewall programs. Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 7).
Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

  • Lately the sequence order of the bookmark toolbar items changes from time to time. Rather irritating - is there a fix for this?

The problem started about a week or two ago. Usually it is just one or two tabs which have shifted. I am using Xmarks. I have not noticed any changes on the items within the various tabs, just a random shifting of the tabs.

Let me refine my question and issue because I'm now realizing that Logic is just delaying the recording, expecting latency (which is a horrible feature... good idea, but failed execution). So, is there any way to turn this off within the DAW? I want things to record on the grid. There shouldn't be any latency just trying to mix a few audio files together... right? Maybe I just never noticed in Pro Tools or the like. I'm going to test all the other DAWs as soon as I have time and see how they handle it. I know how to hone in the recording delay, but it never gets spot on for me. I still have to end up editing an externally recorded piece of audio, which is ok. But I don't find it acceptable when working completely in the DAW with just audio files...
Maybe I'm just doing something wrong... so I'm going to work on the delay... but I'm hoping someone has dealt with this before.

  • Sequence header at the end of the sequence in the report

    Good afternoon everyone,
I have a strange issue with my TestStand Report (any kind of report type) : some time ago the headers (with the name, the parameter's values, the module time, the status) of the sequence and sub-sequence were at the begining. Now they are a the end of the sequence, which means instead of having the status of the sequence first, I have the status of all the steps contained in the sequence BEFORE having the status of the sequence.
I have checked and double checked the Report options : nothing tells that the headers must be at the end.
I have 2 bench on which my sequences are running and one of them has the sequence headers upside down in the report and the other has the headers in the proper order. Their report options are exactly the same and I can't find where the configuration is different !
Does anyone have some idea ? Please ?
    TestStand revision : 2010

    To Norbert :
The steps in the body are ok, in the correct order yes.
I've attached two extract of report (check the Report Correct first), change the extention from ".txt" to ".html", the html one wasn't authorized by the forum.
    To jiggawax
I'm not using XML format, only text or html. Where is located the ReportOptions.ini file ? I cannot find it with a basic search, could it be hidden ? As I am not managing this file in the configuration of the benches, it might be the origin of the problem !
Both benches are running the same client sequence indeed : the client sequence are located on a network reachable by the benches.
I doubt that one the client sequence can override a report callback but afterall I should make sure of this possibility.
    Thanks for your help !
