you get the PIP from the rosettanet website. you need to import them into IR

  • Partner interface process (pip) in BPM

can you give an idea abt partner interface process (pip) in BPM???

I think PIP is not related to ccBPm (XI related)
Rather, it is related to business process for trading partners.

  • Trading Partner Interface

    Hello all,
Does anybody have experience with the Trading Partner Interface?
I am trying to create a custom class that implements the trading partner interface. In this class I want to call an existing EJB to get the partners from the backend and display the values in the portal.
But I don't know how this should work and whether this can work...
    Any ideas?

    I figured it out myself.

  • Synchronous message interface processes as Asynchronous

I have a message interface define as Outbound - Synchronous. But when it processes it shows it being an Asynchronous message. My response message mapping never executes.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Priyanka,
Here is the situation. This process works in XI 2.0 and I am trying to convert it to XI 3.0 The message interface is defined as outbound-synchronous. This automatically forces me to define the Output message and the input message. Because of this definition, the message mapping allows me to define the request message mapping and the response message mapping.
Basically the scenario is I receive an XML file that is mapped to an RFC that is sent to SAP R/3. This RFC creates a sales order.
When the scenario is executed, the request message mapping executes because the sales order is created in R/3. However the response message mapping never seems to executes.
The message interface is defined as Synchronous, but it shows in the message monitor as Asynchronous.
So I do not understand your question about "Do I have a corresponding inbound sync message interface".
The fact that the message interface is marked as synchronous and it has the output and input message types defined, I would have to say that this is the corresponding inbound message interface. This is how I have defined it in XI 2.0 and it works. Is there something different with XI 3.0 that maybe I am missing?
    Thanks,
    Jim

  • Interfaces - Process chains

    hI,
can anyone help me how i can check these interfaces
to convert my infopackagegroup to process chain
RSPC_MIGRATE_INFOPACKAGE_GROUP(to convert infopackage group to a process chain)
RSPC_MIGRATE_EVENT_CHAIN ( to convert an event chain to a process chain)
    Thanks

    Hi Greatflower,
I have not tried the event chain stuff, but you can go to SE37 and type in RSPC_MIGRATE_INFOPACKAGE_GROUP. Do a single test (F8) and put in the technical name of your InfoPackage group. It will then pop up for you to enter a name and description for the new process chain. Further you will have to go into RSPC and actiavte this process chain. I think it would have been simpler to click on process chain maintenance from within the InfoPackage group.
    Hope this helps...

  • BTE - Difference between P/S interface & Process Interface

    Hi
Two interfaces are mentioned in the BTE concept.
    1. Publish and Subscribe Interface
    2. Process Interface
What exactly mean these interfaces are ?
What is difference between these two interfaces?
I read an article posted by Lakshman Tandra - but i did't understand the exact meaning & purpose and also the difference between the two interfaces.
    Surely, points will be awarded
    VVR

    Hello Ramana,
The difference between the two is like this:
    - Publish and Subscribe Interface
Means the Event FM only provides the Document number or anything that is coming in the FM Import interface in order to trigger some other external process. You have no vontrol on changing SAP code from this FM. You can just use that info and do additional tasks outside of that SAP process
    - Process Interface
Means that Event FM provides both Import and changing parameters which allows you to take control of the process and influence what the changing parameters values are going to be used once the control returns back from this FM back to its caller.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    2. Partner Profile
    3. IDOC type and IDOC

  • Partner det process- Redetermination for specific BO types

    Hi all
I would like the functionality "Redetermination" for business object  Activity/Sales call. As of now this selection is available for my lead and oppty.
I read that this is Business Object specific and for activity/sales  there is no entry maintained in table COMS_Partner_Det
i would want to know if there is any other way than coding to achieve the same?
I want the same "re-determination" functionality avaible for activity and sales PDP.
    Please help with some inputs
    regards
    Dhruv

    Hello,
Partner re-determination works only for Leads and Opportunities
    - see
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/d4/a8f6967c4b46b2bc2c20283a245199/frameset.htm
You can add other BUS - types into the table coms_partner_det, but I am not sure if the re-determination will work then correctly. However this would be a modification of SAP Standard.
    Best regards

  • Parties, Business Systems and Business Services

    Hi guys,
I've read a lot about items in subject, but have some doubts about applying them to my scenario. I have to integrate SAP system and web service.
As far as I understand concepts, this is B2B communication, so I have to use parties. To represent SAP system I use Business System, as it's described ins SLD,  and for Web service I use Business Service... just as we use business services for web services
--- Am I right here? Will it work ok in reciever determination, agreement?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
You are doing the usage of business systems and services in proper way.
The scenario will difinately work with combination of business system and service.
It will be fine for all other configurations such as Receiver Determination, Sender/receiver agreements and interface determination etc.
Please see below the importance of Parties, Business Systems and Business Services
    A communication party
A communication party (party for short) represents a larger unit, which is involved in a collaborative process. Using a communication party, you generally address a company within a cross-company process.
You can assign a communication party one or more services to address it as the sender or receiver of messages.
    A business system
If you want to address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
    A business service
If you want to address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.
    Thanks
    Swarup
