  • Rosettanet PIP 7B5 message

Who can provide information regarding Rosettanet  PIP 7B5 message regarding mapping from an IDOC.
The scenario is the  Design House responses back to OEM by sending PIP3A4 PO Response and releases a work order to the Contract Manufacture who does all the manufacturing for him (by sending RosettaNet PIP 7B5 Release Work Order, the CM response back with a PIP7B6 work order response).
Mapping is required based on the purchase order or perhaps the production order.

    HI,
The component ROSETTANET contains mainly the definitions of the PIP's, while the components ROSETTANET ERP and ROSETTANET CRM
contain (most importantly) the mappings against the respective SAP backend (CRM or ERP).
If you look for complete support of PIP's including the mapping to the backend (IDoc or BAPI) you need to check which PIP's
are supported in ROSETTANET CRM or ROSETTANET ERP.  As of today SAP offers mappings for the following PIP's:
    PIP3A4
    PIP3A7
    PIP3A8
    PIP3A9
    PIP3B2
    PIP3C3
    PIP3C6
If you are only interested in the PIP definition, you need to check the content of the component ROSETTANET (here you don't find the latest information on the service marketplace). In general, SAP is working on making all PIP's available in that component. If you are missing some PIP you can contact SAP, e.g.
Currently you find the following PIP's:
    PIP2A12
    PIP3A1, 3A2, 3A4, 3A6, 3A7, 3A8, 3A9
    PIP3B2, 3B12, 3B13, 3B14
    PIP3C3, 3C4, 3C6
    PIP4A1, 4A5
    PIP5C1, 5C2, 5C3, 5C4
    PIP6C1, 6C2
    3C4 and PIP6C* series.

    Hi,
You can download any rosetta net message formats from rosettanet.org only, refer below link,
They are giving XSD,import this XSD as External Definition in XI and use it in mapping, but before check the XSD correct or not.

  • How to use Rosettanet PIP 0A1

    Hello B2B Gurus,
    Request and Response in BPEL
    1) How to send PIP 0A1 to trading partner. Is any sample PIP 0A1 xml available.
    2) How to handle PIP 0A1 on HOST system. (This system is waiting for PO Acknowledment, How to configure to handle PO Ack and PIP 0A1)
    thanks

    1) How to send PIP 0A1 to trading partner. Is any sample PIP 0A1 xml available. You may generate a sample XML from PIP0A1 XSD/DTD using any XML editor or JDeveloper. You may use Oracle B2B document editor to generate PIP 0A1 XSD.
    2) How to handle PIP 0A1 on HOST system. (This system is waiting for PO Acknowledment, How to configure to handle PO Ack and PIP 0A1)Configure the PIP 0A1 document and create an agreement for it (same as any other RosettaNet doc). At runtime B2B will automatically correlate it with corresponding request and process it accordingly.

  • Implemanting Rosettanet PIP 3A4 using BAPI's / RFC's

Has anyone implemented RosettaNet 3A4 scenario in a productive environment with XI using BAPI's / RFC's?
We are looking to build B2B using Rosettanet 3A4 but having a hard time finding success stories. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Creating RosettaNet data types in XI 2.0: 'xml:lang' attribute

Has anybody successfully created a RosettaNet interface in XI 2.0?
I am working with the PIP 3A2 messages, but some of the elements have an attribute named 'xml:lang', which is a standardized attribute from the W3C's XML namespace.  The attribute name is declared as 'xml:lang' because it's still a DTD-based PIP.  Normally, in schema, this is handled by declaring an import of the xml.xsd file provided by W3C and defining the namespace alias 'xml' to point to it in the RosettaNet schema.  The xml.xsd provided by W3C boils down to the following declaration, to support 'xml:lang' as an attribute...
    <xs:schema targetNamespace="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xml:lang="en">
    <xs:attribute name="lang" type="xs:language">
    </xs:attribute>
    </xs:schema>
I'm trying to create this interface in the XI 2.0 data type editor, but...
    1. I can't create attributes as standalone data types in alternate namespaces (to simulate the declarations in W3C's xml.xsd).
    2. I can't link a standalone attribute declaration from another namespace to an attribute in the editor.
    3. The editor prohibits use of a colon in the attribute name (as it should), so I can't declare the attribute name to be 'xml:lang'.
    4. I can't figure out how to control the addition of a new namespace alias to 'xml'.  The editor wants to use default names like 'p0' when I bring in types from other namespaces.
Can anyone suggest where I should look for an answer?

  • Need Task list for starting a Rosettanet.

    Hi,
Please let me know what are the intial steps to be done for setting up the  XI and RNIF systems from XI point of view. Please  reply with the task list.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pragathi.

    Hi,
1)First you need to identify which Rosettanet PIP messages your are going to use, identify and download the PIP messages from rosettanet org, already different version dtds available ,download the DTDs with version what you looking for.
2)Identify the who is the receiver , how to transform thsi structure in tro receiver format, you already have any standas receiver formats use it like IDocs(id your receiver is SAP ).
3)Thenu use Rosettanet adapter to read the message.
remaining steps all are same, refer any sample scenario, you wil understand.

  • RosettaNet Document over AS2

    Hello,
Our Partners are sending RosettaNet PIPS . Currently they are sending it as EzComm. we are in process of migrating it to Oracle b2b. My question how it can be migrated to Oracle b2b. Do I need to create RosettaNet document equivalent to EzComm documents & make AS2 as channel .

    Thanks for your reply.
I did created RosettaNet documents & used AS2 as exchange protocol. After sending them , receiver partner is throwing document protocol identification error. I did set AS2 identifiers in it too.
If this gets Xferred over RNIF , it works as it takes document information from XML . However same XML over AS2 is failing , more i think because it just passes XML without idenifying document type definitions from it.
Do we need to set additional identifiers to determine doument type & versions? If so where can we set them?

  • SAP to non-SAP Communication Using Proxy Framwork

    Hi all,
While searching for the connection option for the B2B collaboration between SAP and non-SAP business system, i found that there are two ways we can do it.
One using Adapters and another using Proxy Framework.
In our case We are on SAP Enterprise and non-SAP business partners are using I2, legacy system.
They are not using Rosettanet PIPS, so I can not use RNIF or any other adapter for the inbound or outbound operation.
My question is If we use proxy framework, what needs to be done at the non-SAP business system . Do we need to install proxy runtime and how does this proxy runtime will communicate with the application in non-SAP system.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ruby,
You can use proxies for communicating with ABAP 6.20 systems and above and for J2EE applications.
For B2B communication you would normally use an adapter for example plain HTTP, SOAP or RNIF ...
An alternative is to install the XI PCK on the partner side. The PCK is essentially a standalone version of the XI Adapter Engine installed locally at the partner. This enables a scenario where XI communicates with the PCK over HTTP and then an adapter (file, JDBC ...) is used to communicate with the legacy system and vice versa.

  • Where is partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId value set in Oracle b2b 10g

Hi I am using custom documents to be exchanged over Rosettanet(RSIF). The TP expects the following tag in the service header of the Rosettanet Wire message which is being constructed by Oracle B2B :
    <partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId>
    <ProprietaryReferenceIdentifier>PIDX</ProprietaryReferenceIdentifier>
    </partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId>
This is a mandate parameter that is to be sent if documents are used on RSIF.
I am not able to find a way to set this up anywhere on the Oracle B2B screens. Can someone pls. help.

If I am not wrong then Oracle B2B does not set this header. PIDX implementation guide (http://www.pidx.org/standards/upload/PIDX%20XML%20Implementation%20Guideline%202002-02-14%20V1.0.doc) mentions about "partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId" implementation as -
This data element is used to identify a proprietary binding ID that permits the RosettaNet based parts of a multipart message to bind to non-RosettaNet parts. This element is populated to cover where the trading partners wish to exchange messages based on proprietary document formats (non-RosettaNet Schema) using a RosettaNet PIP.
PIDX requirements support the use of the RNIF Framework but will not use existing RosettaNet PIPs. Given that this is the case, * Trading Partners will typically not populate this data element. *From above reference it does not seem to be mandatory parameter. Still if your requirements bound you to use this header, contact Oracle Support to get help on this.

    Hi again,
The offending WSDL is below. I should add that I Googled this and couldn't find anything useful. Axis is happy with the WSDL, as is the validator at http://www.soapclient.com/SoapTools.html (though I'm not sure of its quality). I'm now downloading IBM Websphere 6 to see how that goes.
    Thanks again,

  • How to read the extension .RNO files.

    Guys..
We are implementing B2B scenario ,
We are getting .RNO file with Rossettanet, Preamble, ServiceContent, OrderCreate, and DigitalSignature  tags in it. Once XI got .RNO file, XI needs to map with ORDERS05 and send to R/3.
    Can any one explain me
    how to validate the DigitalSignature,
how to convert .RNO file to XML? or Is there any XSD document which includes “Rossettanet, Preamble, ServiceContent, OrderCreate, and DigitalSignature”.
    Thanks
    M

    Hi Murali,
    1) Are you using the SAP business package for B2B over Rosettanet -- This contains the Mappings to backend ERP system but comes at an extra license cost .
From your description, I assume that you are the seller ?
    2) The conversion of a RosettaNEt PIP message into XML is done ( keeping only the service content payload to be mapped afterwards ) by the XI RNIF adapter. What version of RNIF are you using RNIF1.1 or RNIF2.0
Also signature validation should be done by the adapter by setting the right flags in the adapter.
Many variants are possible but i depends on what you agreed with your partner
    3) The security settings are done in the sender/receiver agreements and in the communication channels

  • XI compared with IBM WBI

    Hi all.
Is there any articles which compare XI 3. and IBM WBI , especially in supporting RosettaNet ?
       I need it very urgently.
       Thanks a lot.

    Hi Jianhong,
I am not sure about the IBM WBI but SAP BP for RosettaNet offers a comprehensive solution that addresses RosettaNet Standards. It offers pre-built, out-of-the-box message and process mappings between SAP Interfaces and RosettaNet PIP interfaces. With the RosettaNet BP SAP delivers technical adapters like RNIF, Mapping and Integration Processes and the business logic in the backend.
    Hope this helps.

  • Scenario IDOC - PI - RNIF

    Hi Experts,
Can anybody send me  the steps involved in idoc - rnif  rosettanet the recever elemica gateway.
Wat is PIP (partner interface process)?
Wat is the use of PIP to the above scenario?
    Thanks

I would suggest you refer these two threads:
For scenarios involving RNIF & to know what is PIP: rosettanet pip
And this for a quick overview of how PIP is related to rnif: partner interface process (pip) in BPM
