Forum in other languages

If I set the language on the main Adobe.com page to something other than English, the forum language also changes. I recently set it to French to look for a French helpx article, and some of the French forum content is displayed as garbage:
The red-circled part is incorrect (should be Était-ce utile), but other accented characters display correctly.
The forum encoding is set to UTF-8, so it doesn't seem to be an encoding problem.
This is not a single instance; I just changed the language to Spanish:

It almost seems to me that the UTF-8 content is not correcly decoded. But why only in that sentence...?
Interestingly, Japanese displays correctly:

I did not use that button because everytime I had used it in the past, it changed the language of all fixed text in the adobe.com site without producing any effect in the forums language. I have just made a few tests and the results were somewhat surprising.
If I change my region to the one called Latin America located under North America (only choice including my country, as South America only lists Brazil), or to Mexico, the text in the adobe.com site changes to Spanish, but there is no effect whatsoever in the forums, where all fixed text remains in English. However, if I choose España as my region, then the language change also affects the majority but not all of the fixed text of the forums. Here is an example:
I cannot say if this is new or has always been like this, because I had never had a reason for choosing Spain as my "region". All I can say is that there has never been a working way of changing the language in the forums for us "Latin Americans". And if I recall correctly, there have been complains about this from other "regions" as well.

LR 4 and swiss french keyboard issues

I was looking for the french forum but I was redirected on this one ?
I am just starting with this product and I have identified some issues.
- The shorcut contextual menu is not working
- The shorcuts rotations are not working.
- The french translation for the rotations shortcuts are wrong. It displays the MAC OS shorcuts.
- Material : swiss french keybord logitex LX700, LR 4 version 4.0 (2012.04.30) and Windows Vista.
Is it working for you ?

Weird behaviour of Thunderbird update 31 with Yahoo groups forums

Hi there;
I will do what I can with my basic English to explain what's wrong, but I'm posting here because French forum didn't help;
So;
1. Everything was working fine before update "31
2. I have several accounts in my Thunderbird but my default account is subscribed to some Yahoo groups forums;
3. Since V31, When I try To reply to males from one of these forums, the reply's sender is different from this default account the mail was sent to, and I have to change the sender back to my default account manually for each reply; This doesn't happen with other mails I receive;
I know it sounds crazy, at least for me, but can you help,

There is a persistent mode using addons with squashfs medium.
English is an option for all users with an addon.
CP2RAM is provided as an option.
Pacman is provided for archlinux packages.
Both ARORA and MIDORI are provided as internet browsers. Others can be installed either for a session or added with addons.
The system uses OPEN BOX with a simplistic Desktop.
French forums are available for those who know French.
The downloads provide French language but addons give english options.
The system format is essentially archlinux with French nomenclature .(Until english option is enabled with addons).
I find it easy to utilize and performs quickly in x86_64 system.
It reminds me of Faunos in general performance.

Cloud Synchronisation

habe mal ein grundsätzliche Frage zu den Synchronisationsmöglichkeiten in der Cloud:
Als ich mich das erste mal über die Cloud bei Adobe erkundigt habe, wurde mir gesagt, es sei kein Problem Dateien zwischen unterschiedlichen Nutzern zu synchronisieren. Nachdem ich aber eine Team-Cloud-Lizenz mit 3 Plätzen erworben habe, hab ich bemerkt, dass Adobe mit "Synchronisation" eigentlich nur das syncen von Dateien zwischen den zwei Arbeitsplätzen meint, auf dem man die Programme pro Adobe-ID installieren darf.
Wir sind jetzt aber ein Team von 3 Leuten. Jeder hat seine eigene ID innerhalb des "Team-Abos". Mir wurde damals am Telefon von Adobe bestätigt, dass man unkompliziert innerhalb des Teams Dateien syncen kann. Das ist aber nur bedingt der Fall. Wenn wir beispielsweise zusammen an einem Premiere-Projekt arbeiten wollen, dann muss ich jedesmal, wenn ich Änderungen an dem Projekt vornehme, es wieder neu hochladen und meinem Kollegen über einen Link zur Verfügung stellen. Das finde ich recht umständlich. Mir wurde erzählt, dass das Cloud-syncen so funktioniert, wie bei der Dropbox. Man hat einen Ordner lokal auf seinem Rechner, dort kann man Dateien reinschieben und diese Dateien würden dann automatisch eben auch bei meinem Kollegen innerhalb der Team-Clous gesynt und dann entsprechend in seinem lokalen Cloud-Ordner auftauchen. So könnte man sich abwechselnd an dem Projekt zu schaffen machen. Scheint aber nicht so zu sein. Kann das jemand bestätigen? Gibt es keine Sync-Möglichkeit innerhalb einer Team-Cloud, ohne jedesmal wieder neu einen Link zu schicken?

Do you have the latest updates of the software ? (and when that crashes occur, do you send the data feedback so they're aware of the problem ?)
Are you logged in correctly with CC and the CC app running while you try to sync ?

Trial Adobe Flash CS4 Don't Work...

Blank screen after poweroff

First of all, sorry for my language. I'm french (I've posted my problem on the french forum here but it hasn't been solved yet.
THE PROBLEM :
When I shutdown my desktop computer using any command ('shutdown -h now' 'halt' of using the syslinux poweroff, and even when I try to suspend with 'pm-suspend'), I have a blank screen when I try to turn the PC on. And then the screen says "no signal". Even the BIOS doesn't appear.
I have to use the RESET button of my tower to see the BIOS appear
First I didn't have the problem with the command 'reboot', but it's the same now (since I changed my CMOS battery).
And since that I have also to RESET several times to get the BIOS.
MY CONFIG :
- kernel : 3.14.2-1-ARCH
- openbox + slim
- bootloader syslinux
- graphic card : NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS + current Nvidia driver (my card is not recognized by 'nouveau')
- motherboard : ASUSTeK P5PL2-E
- BIOS version : 0904 (up to date stable version)
- CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
- Screen : ACER G246HL (DVI connected)
WHAT I'VE TRIED SO FAR :
- unplug the computer, wait, plug it.
- reinstall the packages : nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-libgl xorg-server xorg-xinit xorg-server-utils
- boot on the arch's liveUSB and shutdown from there >> same problem
- boot with the kernel options 'noacpi noapic nolapic'
- desactivate the QuickBoot option on the BIOS (it seemed to work but finally not)
- use the LTS kernel
- open the computer and clean everything inside, check that everything is OK, even change the CMOS battery
- run memetest86+ >> no error
- check the CPU temperature

I have also gotten the blank, black screen, after using the Recovery CD's from HP on THREE different computers, please, if anyone knows how to help, HELP. I get nothing, tried hard off, new memory, new hard drives, no battery, battery, new battery, new a/c adapter, etc. Only one is still under warrenty, a HDX-16t, the other two, an HDX 16 and a Pavilion -1135nr

My HP, purchased in June 2012, died on Saturday. I was working in recently installed Photoshop, walked away from my computer to answer the phone and when I came back the screen was blank. When I turned it on, I got a Windows Error Recovery message. The computer was locked and wouldn't let me move the arrow keys up or down and hitting f8 didn't do anything.
I'm not happy with HP. Any suggestions?

If you're having problems with USB ports, read on...

i'm reading that alot of people on here are having problems with their front (or top) usb on their cases not working with their k7n2 boards. i have come across the correct solution to this problem in one of the posts (after having solved the problem on my own), however noone has posted the solution by itself on this forum so everyone can easily see it.
The trick is to make sure that pin 10 (at least on a K7n2 delta-L), the pin labeled USBOC (USB Open Connection), is wired to NOTHING. If the connector to your front usb ports is fused into one giant connector and it HAS a wire that will connect to this pin (labeled GND2 or Shield or something), CUT THAT WIRE. Pin 10 on JUSB2 (at least on a K7n2 delta-L) must be OPEN. If this pin IS connected to something (even if it is only GND), the motherboard will think something is connected to this usb port and you will get many unknown devices listed in your windows device manager and the rest of your usb ports may or may not work.
As a general rule of thumb, if a pin on a motherboard is labeled OC for "Open Connection" and you wire something to it, you're asking for trouble.
If you cannot understand this you should not be attempting to wire a motherboard in the first place.
Here is a picture to go along with this discussion. If you cannot see this picture, I am sorry for it has probably been removed from the place I posted it online as I cannot attach pictures physically to this post. If someone here has a way to permanently host this picture and post it to this thread permanently, that would be wonderful.
In summary: all usb ports/headers have only four pins associated with it (VCC, USB+, USB-, GND). If the connector (whether it's one big connector or individual sockets) to your front/top usb port has 5 sockets, don't connect the 5th socket to anything. That goes for any case/motherboard combination. This is what i'm talking about above. I have no idea why motherboard and case manufacturers have a 5th pin involved in any way on either the pin or socket side. It is not used for usb.
EDIT: I just noticed this has already been discussed in the trouble shooting guide in the above sticky post. oh well, now we have a pretty picture to go along with it (i hope).

as promised I come back here to give the results of my tests... and I have to say that you saved my day (even if I had to open back 60 secured cases).
So the solution was the right one, when I unplugged the "ground" end of the front USB connector cable from the USBOC pin, those connectors finally worked as expected with USB 2.0 compliant devices.
So thank you really much for this very usefull information !
And even if maybe it's not only MSI's fault, I still believe that more information on those connectors in the user's manual would be really usefull (who knows what USBOC means except a few people and who could imagine that pluggin on it a "ground" cable would make it unserviceable ??). And who ever saw a user's manual bundled with a case ?? it's pretty unusual
Hope that someone at MSI will read that and take it into consideration, not for me (because now I'm aware) but for the thousands other consumers that will feel a little bit "annoyed" with that issue. I don't think that adding one line about it in user's manuals would be so much expensive
But I'm quite lucky myself... being able to understand and write english (even if I still have some progress to do ) gave me the possibility to find the solution... but a lot of my french fellows can't do that... and there's no french forum here... How can they do ? They rely on user's manual

I had this exact same issue on a Spectre XT Pro Ultrabook.
The original SSD failed and I was sent a replacement, was fortunate enough to be able to create a Recovery USB stick using the wizard in Windows. When booting from USB I received the message "You are not able to restore this system with the media".
SOLUTION: You must NOT use the Recovery USB stick in any USB3.0 port (labelled SS). Using another USB port prevented this exact error message from appearing and I was able to complete the system restore process.
I hope this helps someone, I signed up and posted here especially for this reason!

Impossible Tiger install on my imac G4

Hi everybody ! I'm new (well, almost, it's my second post) here, and I've been advised to post a new topic concerning my problem, so here I am...
First of all, let's start with a little explanation (not that small, actually) : I've bought, a year ago from now, an Imac G4 20". It's, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful (if not THE most) computers ever created, and I wanted to get one before there disappearance, with the arrival of the G5 generation. So I bought one (with a really nice discount, because of the new imacs arriving and all...) and thought that I would live happily ever after with it. I had also bought an Ibook G4 14" 1,33Ghz, a month before.
Everything went quite fine (a freeze when running limewire and mplayer at the same time but that might have been because of the 256 Mo of memory) till I bought Tiger. I bought the complete system, not an update version with a computer or something like that. Anyway, I bought Tiger and the troubles began. I started with a simple upgrade, from 10.3.9 to 10.4 (something that had always worked perfectly fine for me on all my macs from OS 9.1 to Panther).
Once the installation process completed, the imac restarted as usual, all by itself, and after a few seconds, stopped on a light blue screen (I say light as it seemed to me that it was lighter than the usual blue background behind the loading sequence) and stood like that. After a few minutes (like 10 or something) I decided to reboot, in safe mode (reboot button + shift) and after a really long startup sequence (which, as I learned later, was normal). It worked, I could use my computer, minus all the disabled options. So I thought that it was certainly a problem of compatibility with an application or something plugged in the computer. So I checked the disk and repaired what had to be repaired, saved all my data on my external FW HD, and tried to :
- restart and zap the pram : same light blue screen, safe mode only
- format the HD : same result
- custom format of the HD (9 times) : same result
- start again after having unplugged all the non apple stuff (ethernet link, HP printer, trackball) : same result
As I didn't want to be stuck with the safe mode (which is really useful, don't misunderstand me, but when you buy a complete system, you're supposed to be able to use it) till the end of times, I called the hotline, and after having once again tried all of the staff mentionned above, the guy in charge of my case sent me a small app, which, once run on my imac (still in safe mode) produced a file, listing obscure and unreadable (well, for me anyway... lol) datas, file that I sent back.
After a week or two of intense waiting, I decided to call back . The guy seemed to have lost my file (breathe... breathe... breathe...). He called me back after a few days to tell me that the datas had been analysed and the conclusion was chathat my imac could not get Tiger, unless something was changed in the computer itself (and it was not the memory, as I had only the 256 Mo, factory installed). The surgical act could apparently be done in an apple center, but I had no mean of transport at that time , and was really starting to get tired about all this. The guy told me that I was not the first one to report this bug, and that it seemed to concern certain models of imacs G4 20" only. Then, he tried to sell me an apple care, which I refused. So I reinstalled panther, which works perfectly fine and installed Tiger on my ibook (something that I originally didn't want to do) which works perfectly fine too.
I forgot to mention that apple sent me, in the early days of this situation, another copy of Tiger, as they thought that the problem might have come from the DVD itself. As I used the DVD I bought on my ibook later, I guess it's not the case. So I forgot all about that till I found this forum (I have exposed my problem on the french forum of macgeneration.com but without any success). The problem may be that you only have 256 Mo of RAM. That's the bare minimum, and many have found that it is difficult to do anything but word processing with that minimum. If for any reason even a small part of that RAM is damaged, the installation may not work properly. I strongly recommend going to http://www.crucial.com/ and upgrade to at least 512 Mo (or MB, which is the U.S. term for the same) of RAM if you still desire to upgrade to Tiger for some of the features it offers, or a program you know only to run in Tiger. And when you do, backup your data, and be sure you have plenty of hard disk space available and try to Archive and Install as described below:

SQL, PL/SQL functions, and ORA-04091 table is mutating

Recently a question came up in an Oracle French forum about an insert/select that is throwing ORA-04091: table xxxx is mutating, trigger/function may not see it error in 11g while the same insert/select was working very well in 10g. The original poster gave a scenario that is easily reproducible. I am wondering what database release is correct the one throwing the error(11g) or the other one accepting the insert/select(10g)?
