Plant for In House Repair Returns Item

Hello,
When I replicate a returns item for an In House Repair Order in CRM to ECC, the Plant on the ECC sales order always defaults to the Delivering Location from the material master.  I want the plant in the sales order item to default to something other than the delivering location, but I have not been able to achieve this.  I have tried using partner functions (vendor, ship-to for returns) for the item in the In House Repair and none of this has worked.
Thank you for your input.
Best,
Liz

Hi Elizabeth,
The plant in ECC with defaulted from the material master. It can also be defaulted from the customer master if you maintain the plant in the customer master in ECC or customer material info record. The CMI record has the highest priority, followed by customer, followed by material.
What are the rules that you need to default the plant from? There is also a configuration where you can assign a plant to Service org unit and service employee. I am not 100% sure whether that will help, but you can try it. Did you also trying putting the vendor partner function at the line item level and manually entering the vendor number of the plant?
Thanks
Ashish

  • Return Delivery for In-House Repair Order

When I create an In-House Repair order in CRM and replicate it to ECC, the return delivery does contain the special stock indicator "E", hence the stock is posted to unrestricted.  This only happens with replicated orders.
    Any ideas?

    Hello Peter,
Regarding Posting of Goods Issue for Spare Parts in SAP R/3 Materials Management,
The data posted depends on the logistics scenario(s) that you use. The system therefore first determines the logistics scenario defined for the combination of transaction type, item category, service organization, and other relevant information required for the scenario (for example, movement type or special stock indicator in SAP R/3).
Availability information informs you whether the service parts are currently in stock. Each service part item generates a reservation in the back end system, which can be used to trigger an early procurement process.

  • Order Related Billing for In-House Repair

Has anyone figured out how to get order-related billing to work in the In-House Repair order when used with ERP billing?
    Your responses are greatly appreciated.

    Hi Peter,
What I understand from your query is you want to do Billing in ECC of the in-house repair order. Kindly Confirm.
    If yes, follow these steps:
In standard scenario external billing works with
    u2022     Service contracts
    u2022     Service orders
    u2022     Service confirmations
    Prerequisites
    1.     Synchronization of Master Data
    2.     Synchronization of Pricing Conditions
    3.     Customizing of Controlling Objects in SAP ERP
    4.     Customizing of service transactions in SAP CRM
    5.     Customizing of sales orders in SAP ERP
    6.     Mapping of transaction data between SAP CRM and SAP ERP
    Customizing
In order to perform external billing of the service order materials, following configurations are to be done:
    1.     Create a Service order Transaction
    2.     Create an Item category - Putting Billing reference External Billing
    3.     Maintain Item Category Determination
    4.     Replicate the controlling relevant characteristics
    5.     Create the ERP Order Type- Tcode VOV8- SD Doc Category should be L.
    6.     Create the ERP Item category- Tcode VOV7 - Billing reference C
    7.     Maintain Item category Determination (ERP)
    8.     Maintain Mapping of transactions and item categories
Settings for Service Processing  Billing Integration  Map Transaction Types and Item Categories
When you set the status to complete, it triggers a debit memo request in ECC, with which ECC Billing can be performed.

  • Availability Check at Multiple Plants for the Sales Order line Item.

    Hi Friends,
We are having two plants, Plant A and Plant B. Plant A is used to issue the orders to the vendors and stock them, while Plant B is used to manufacture the Product and Stock.
When we create the sales order, we want to check the Current Stock Plus Incomming Purchase order stock for plant A and also check current stock plus Production orders in plant B.
for ex if the current stock is 100 in Plant A and No physical stock in Plant B but there are some production orders for 400 Qty which will be ready in 1 week.
If i create a sales order for 500 qty which is scheduled for delivery 10 days later.  then we want to commit to the customer ( Looking at both the plants stock situation )  the system should check the stock availability for both the plants and automatically create two different line items , Line item 1 for plant A and line item 2 for plant b.
I know there is a user exit for Multiple plant selection USEREXIT_PLANT_SELECTION  in program RV03VFZZ. The Description of the USer exit says ( This user exit may be used to provide a list of plants for which availability is to be checked)  But we have never used this one. Will this user exit do exactly what i want ??
Did any of you, have used the above User exit in your implementations ? If so please let me know whats the purpose of this user exit
    Your reply is much appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi
I dont know about the userexit which you are referring about
But this is not available in R3 The system makes a Availability Check only in the plant which has got determined in the item details shipping tab and stops there
The same is available in APO
If there are 2 plants say 1000 and 2000
In sales order the plant determined is 1000 and there is no stock
    In R3 system stops there
But in APO  system checks the plant 2000 and if stocks are available it creates an STO in the background automatically from 2000 to 1000 if configured accordingly
Even if the material is maintained in 10 plants the system will make a  Availability Check at all 10 plants and act accordingly

  • In House repair order Configuration

    Hi all,
I need the std configuration steps for in house repair orders.
    Thanks in advance,
    vikrant

    Hi Vikrant,
The Configurations required for Repair Orders are as follows:
    1. Transaction Type REPA with standard action profile COMPLAINT.
    2. The Main Item Category is RREQ which has action profile REPAIR_ITEM.
2.1 Create a product of type service nag Name DIAGNOSIS, it should have item category group DGNS
2.2 U need to maintain Item category determination, which i think exist by standard.
    3. In R/3 also maintain the same Order type REPA and the item category determination.
Refer Note 806768, it has listed all the required settings in R/3.

  • Customer returns items  after  A/R invoice has closed

    Hi
I want solution for sales  if Customer returns items  after  A/R invoice has closed. (i.e payment has ok).
    Pls. provide me solution.

    Hi Rashmi.....
There are two possible ways of doing it.
1.If AR Invoice is closed by Payment then you can further Open Invoice by canceling the Payment. And hence can punch Return based on that.
2.If you dont want to cancel Payment then you can raise standalone Goods Return against which you have to punch Incoming Excise Invoice (if Item is Excisable else not) and hence follow the Goods return doc to AR Credit Memo......

  • Issue Return stock to other plant for repair

    Hi All,
I have customer return stock in one plant A returned through return sales delivery. after PGR, the return stock is raised by that quantity in that plant A. now, I want to transfer this material to another plant R where the repair will take place on that material. is it possible to do this without converting this stock to un-restricted?  It should be issued and received as Blocked or Return stock only in the receiving plant.
I tried transfer posting with movement type 455 and it does this but there within a single transaction, issue and receipt takes place which is not acceptable to client. minimum two transaction of actual goods issue and goods receipt are required so that the stock in transit is traceable. let me know if this is possible.
I have already gone through number of threads but could not resolve it. OSS note 430074 and 489543 as well.
    Thanks,
    Binita

    Hi There
We can have the work around through minor enhancement, for this have to create the Locations(Say R* in both the plants, STO- Order type ZUB, Prod Order Type-ZRM) and these locations, you can make is as a not relevant to MRP through config,, So that these stock will not be considered for the MRP/Availability check,,
And can have the restriction that Transfer shd happen between R* location (R* to non R* Error, However it is you can have one golden loc to send the material to any locations- R* or Non R, since once the rework done you have to send to customer) and same applicable for the order/PO doc types (for ZUB/ZRM orders Issue and rec locations shd be from/to R, if non R* through error msg)
Through this you can control the movement of customer returns,, i dont think from Blocked to Blocked you can do STO and receive the materials and process it till send back to the customer,,
The above said process i used in my proj, it was successful, if it is ok for your business you can utilize,,,
    Thanks

  • In-House Repair - PGR completes main item

I have created an in-house repair order in CRM and successfully replicated the corresponding REPA order in ECC.  I then create a return delivery and perform a post goods receipt.
When I go back to the CRM order, both the main item and sub-item show as status 'completed' and I cannot trigger further actions (e.g. Diagnosis) due to the completion status of the main item.
Has anybody encountered this and found a resolution?
    Thanks

    Hi Peter,
Once component is selected in In house repair. 2 line with Component material should also get populated one with itm category object type "CRM Customer Complaint Item" and second with "CRM Customer Return Item".
With reference to "CRM Customer Return Item" with reference to this material we can perform the in bound and later on use this for outbound delivery.
With Reference "CRM Customer Complaint Item" object type material click on "Return for Repair" button and relevant service product will get populated.

  • ERS flag on PO for return item

I am missing the ERS flag on PO for "<b>return item</b>"

    Hello,

In your stock or at customer.
If that material is in your stock than you transfer that stock from storage location to storage location. thin can be within one plant or between two plants (If you have declared service center as storage location)use MVT type 301 With ref to this material document you have excise invoice thru J1IS.(If excise is applicable)You can edit excise values there.
    Check and confirm

  • Good Receipt (movment type : 161) for a PO (PO with Return items) -- Error

    Hi,
When i post a good receipt (movment type : 161) for a PO (PO with Return items), i have this Error Message :
" Account 61522200 requires an assignment to a CO object "
Note : in this GR i have already : Profit center, Funds center and Order (CO objects)
So please what could be the reason ? and how to resolve it ?
    Please advise
    Regards.

Please check first the field status of the account in FS00. If this account requires CO object as mandatory then check whether a cost element is created or not , this error normally occurs when CO object is mandatory but relevant cost element is not created.
    (or)
Goto OKB9 :   The u201CChage View u201CDefault account assignment: Overviewu201D appears. Enter the company code, cost element, and default cost object. The cost object could be a cost center, internal order or profit center.

  • Prevent to make PO/PR for In-house items

Can we prevent making PO/PR for In-house items?? As per my understanding SAP Should not allow preparation of PR/PO. Because GL Configuration of for Valuation class for Purchase Domestic & In-house items is different & costing of method also is different. So System should given error msg at the time of PO/PR Creation.
    Plz guide..

    Hi,
Best way is to follow Jurgen's advice.
Please go to SPRO --> Logistics General --> Material Master --> Basic Settings --> Material Types --> Define Attributes of Material Types
Note that this setting is based on material type.
    1) Select the relevant material type by double clicking on it
    2) At the Ext. Purchase Orders, choose 0 or 1 if you want. The difference is that with 1, you can still proceed with external purchase but a warning is issued.

  • Item for job work/repair

    Hi
After receiving the items, i want to send it for job work or for repair back to vendor, as there is no such form for this i've created new warehouse of REPAIR name and sends such repairable items thro invetory transaction so that if i want to check the stock of  such items i could check it easily through that warehouse.
is it wise to opt this way or there is any other solution for that.

  • IS Retail -  Automatic evaluated receipt settlement for return items

    Hello experts,
I'm in a new instalation of SAP Retail (ERP 2005).
Can anyone tell me how to use Automatic evaluated receipt settlement for return items?
I know that i have to check this box in the vendor master.
What i wanted to know is how does the system generates automatically debit notes to the vendor:
    - Aren´t debit notes used exclusevily for SD module? If so, do i need to create the vendor in the costumer master and associate it to the vendor master?
    - And after this, when i make the return to the vendor, the system generates the debit note automatically? how?
    - for this process what do i need to do in spro?
    Thank you in advance

    Dear Diogo,
You can use MRRL transaction code. Now, system will post credit memo

  • Cancellation of ERS Invoice for return Items

    Hi all,
How to cancel the ERS Invoice for Return Item POs?
For normal items, we used to post a GR with 122 movement type and run the MRRL.  But for Return Item POs we are unable to do that.   Is there any other way?
    Rgds, Mallik

Please see the below help from SAP
The system determines the invoice amount for this ordering transaction from the prices entered in the order, the terms of payment, the tax information and the delivery quantity entered in the goods receipt.
Credit memos can also be created using ERS: if an invoice has already been posted for a goods receipt and goods have since been returned, the system automatically generates a credit memo for the returned quantity during the next ERS run.

  • Change storage location and plant for Return Delivery (outbound)

    Hi,
I'm trying to achieve the following:
Sales orders contained the 'normal' plant. Whenever a return delivery is created it should default the plant to a 'return delivery plant / storage location'. I've looked in to this and it seems we've got multiple options, however i would like to check:
    - Implement V02V0002 user-exit and link with 'return' movement type. Will this ensure plant change aswell?
    - Use standard RETA rule and define ?situations?. Could somebody clearify whether we can achieve our goal with this: Change plant and storage location?
Any suggestions to achieve the above are very much appreciated.
Note: Material contains both views for 'return plant/storage location' and 'normal plant/storage location'.
System is R/3 4.6c with IS Retail activated.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hi,
The delivery is created against/follow-on a sales order / subscription order / invoice. I don't think we use/have a 'return sales order'. Yes, we only use 1 plant / storage location for the returns of goods.
    To sum it up:
    - Implement badi/user-exit ensuring that the plant is changed/defaulted in to our 'returns plant' for return documents.
    - Configure storage location via 'shipping condition'.
    Correct?
Ps. I don't think we'll achieve changing the plant via configuring a shipping condition for our return document type. As the plant from the sales order doesn't match with the shipping condition it won't be taken in to account? And yes: It is mandatory/requirement to change the plant for customer return documents.
    Thank you for your inputs.
    Kind regards,
    Tim
