Pleae Help: Youtube keeps loading/Downloading after a page refresh

I'm on 10.6.6 and using Safari 5.0.5. I have disabled extensions in Safari just to make sure. Also, I have no addons in Safari.
Here is the problem:
When I load a Youtube video, it starts loading and I can see the download speed in my menubar using iStatmenus.
Problem is if I click on the video and load it a bit then I change my mind and go to another Youtube clip, I refresh the page and the video keeps downloading. No mater what I do, it keeps downloading. The only way to stop the download is to quit Safari. I do not see this behavior in Chrome or Firefox.
Could someone try it out and tell me if it's normal or if it's my configuration that's messed up, thanks!

There are very few "sure fire fixes" for a browser problem. The best we can do is offer suggestions. I stick with the basics for the most part. If you are running an older version of the Mac OS X, then try the combo update.
You might try removing the Downloads.plist file from ~/Library/Safari then restarting your Mac.

Session State Values Only Used After a Page Refresh

We recently moved our application to use Oracle Application Server. I don't know if this is an issue but I thought it might be relevant to my question.
In this application there is report that has a link to another page. This link sets the ID of the company that the subsequent pages use to provide several summarized reports with drill downs. I'll call this the main page.
Users recently started to report that when they drill into the details and use the breadcrumbs to get back to the main page, that page will display the wrong company, one they were viewing recently.
In testing I find that when I click a link to drill down into the details the details page is not for the right company. I check session state and the value of the ID is correct. If I refresh the page I then get the correct drill down page. Some of the drill down reports will pass a page specific ID into each page and others will just reference the ID from the main page. Not sure if this is relevant since the breadcrumbs to go back to the main page would not be able to use every possible page specific ID, my understanding was that once I set the ID in session state on the main page I could rely on it.
Also if I get the wrong details page and click on the breadcrumb to the main page I get the wrong main page (it displays a previously viewed company). Again the session value is correct and a refresh of the page will bring back the right company.
Our systems admin was asked to check if we had WebCache on and she said it was not. Is there something else that could be caching the results of these pages?

This is in version 2.2.1 and there are no caching features available.
The application does require login.
I'm playing around with the APP_UNIQUE_PAGE_ID right now but I am finding that even in the builder if I edit the attributes of a report column and then try to edit another column it will bring up the last column I edited. Even if I use the record navigation buttons next to the Apply Changes button it will keep bringing me the same page over and over unless I constantly refresh the pages.

You added a couple of spaces to the Youtube code.
Change:

Help -- iTunes Keeps Restoring Metadata After I Change It

I've spent a lot of time editing the metadata form my iTunes library. Specifically, I erase the composer data for all albums except classical.
However, the data keeps re-appearing for some iTunes. For example, I'll spend time erasing all composer metadata. I'll sign on in a few days, and for about 5 or six albums, the data has re-appeared. I'll erase the composer tag again or replace it with a "space", but in a few days it's bad. It's odd that this always happens with about 4 or 5 albums. And then some albums it happens randomly. On one hand, all of these albums have been downloaded from iTunes. But I've got many, many downloaded albums that don't have this problem.
I do have a subscription to iTunes Match, but I've turned it off on the computer in question.
This is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?
(ETA: Is it possible that Match is replacing the information on my iPhone and that is over-writing iTunes?)

Yes, others are seeing this. Something in purchased media (I am pretty sure this has only happened with purchased media) is periodically checking back with the iTunes Store and resetting the tags in the iTunes library file but not in the actual media files (metadata are stored in both). I haven't seen a truly systematic diagnosis of the issue (I use an old iTunes and have no iTunes account so I can't test anything myself). There are temporary workarounds but tags will still revert after a time. 2014 discussion about edited tags for Store purchases reverting to originals - https://discussions.apple.com/message/26077896 - edited tags are still present in the media file but revert to the originals in the iTunes library file. Youtube videos loading slower after switching to Lion

This problem is with my Apple iMac running Lion OSX 10.7.5. Before I updated to Lion I could wacth videos on YouTube on HD quality with no problems, but since I updated some video take forever to load when on HD and I have to lower the quality for them to play witout stopping every couple of seconds. Any body else have this problem or know a fix for it? I ran disk ultity permission check and it found no problems with my HD.

Cfid & cftoken keep resetting everytime time the page refreshes!!!!

I need some assistance. I have setup several CF applications and never had any issues with session/application management. However this time around every time I refresh the page it gives me a new cfid and cftoken. Obviously it won't allow me to keep my session and I get redirected to the log in page. Here is how I am setting up my application. Does anyone see any issues with this?

Side question, when is the cfid and cftoken suppose to change? When I land on the page for the first time before I log in the cfid & cftoken get set. That will be the same cfid & cftoken for the full session. Then the cfid & cftoken gets dropped once the application has timed out? (maybe a dumb question...)

If you setclientcookies to be FALSE ("no", whatever), then you need to deal with the CFID & CFTOKEN values yourself (generally by passing them on every URL in your site. Which is a right PitA.

How to maintain screen size after automatic page refresh?

I am using an auction site where my personal page updates every 20 sec. Each time it refreshes the screen shrinks down to an unusable size and must be expanded. Is there anyway to maintain screen size in this situation?
I am the creator of the html code as well for this page. Is there something I can put in the code if the user cannot control this setting?

First try adding this line if you don't already have it.

There are various meta attributes the iPhone uses to adjust the size, etc. Apple has a whole tutorial about coding pages for the iPhone someplace.

Firefox Not Loading Websites After Update

Firefox has stopped working after latest update. I can open it up but then it wont load any websites. It just keeps loading. After if I close it and try to re-open it I get the following error message: "Firefox is already running, but not responding. The old firefox process must be closed to open a new window" and it never opens. If I try to end the process in task manager I can't as it doesn't do anything when I attempt to end the process. Then the only way I can get back on firefox is to restart my computer. This is happening on both my PC and my Laptop both running Norton Security Suite.
Please HELP! as I have tried everything and nothing fixes it. I have tried the following troubleshoot solutions with no luck:
1) Reinstall Firefox
2) Refresh Firefox
3) Removing Firefox from the list of accepted programs in firewall and then adding it back (this was done through Norton as it is managing my Windows Firewall)
4) Creating a new profile and using that one instead
5) Starting Firefox in Safe Mode
6) Updating firefox
7) Updating Norton
Nothing seems to be Working and I'm starting to get frustrated. Any Help is appreciated. Thanks

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

The get addon page on Firefox 4 keeps loading infinitely

Whenever i try to open the addon page on firefox 4 it keeps loading infinitely. The pages Extensions, Appearence and plugins open but the get addon page keeps on loading. I cant get any new addons, help. This started after I installed firefox 4, never had this problem with firefox 3.

hai. i need help. and just for heads up, i;m not computer/tech savvy.
i dont remember when this problem was started (maybe around 2 or 3 months ago) but everytime i opened some sites, the page displayed for a while then it reload itself and shown a blank page. the link is still the same with the link i tried to access, it just keep loading and shown blank page till it stop loading. refreshing the page wont help. usually i need to click 'Back' then while it shown the page i click 'X' to stop the page loading, so i can see the page.
but if i need to download files, stopping the page wont make me able to downloaded the files since the page didnt fully loaded.
the websites i encountered this was (so far) :
- Indowebster (download page)
- wiki.d-addicts.com (a wikipedia kind of page)
- photobucket (just encountered this today)
- and 1 or 2 other sites, i forgot.
but i can access all those sites just fine with IE. I also able to access it in Mozilla thru my work computer. at first this dint really bother me as i can just click 'stop loading page' or found another download sites for downloading. but as today i experienced it with photobucket 9which as far as i know didnt happened before) it made me worry that soon i would experiencing this with another sites too.

i already clear cache and cookies. also disable all extensions in my add-ons. from some discussion page, many of them found that this was caused by Real-Player. i have uninstalled Real Player and have disabled the Real Player Plugins long before this problem occured. so i dont think Real Player was the caused.

hi.. actually before i was afraid to update anything other than anti-virus, since i read many people seems updating something and turns out they got malware/virus with it.
but i have update it to Firefox 21 (the newest version it seems) and didnt encounter any problem again. and hope not. it just the new version disable my orbitdownloader. any suggestion to bring it back? (or should i post new thread?)

How to retain value in LoV item in Tabular Form, after Page Refresh

I have a tabular form, which contains 2 items(columns), of type "Select List - named LoV".
Now, 2nd item(column) in tabular form, that LoV should get populated based on user's selection value in first item LoV.
1. So how do I refer to the value, that user selected in first item's LoV? I will have to use this value as reference in LoV query of my 2nd item ( on this tabular form)
2. Everytime I select value in first item LoV, page gets refreshed, as my requirement is to calculate 2nd item's LoV based on selected value in first item. So after this page refresh, first item LoV loses its value that was selected before the page refresh happened. So how do i retain this value in first item LoV? I have an unconditional process, that on every submit(refresh) of page, I set all my items with their corresponding values. But problem is what do i mention there to refer to this first item ( of type LoV) of tabular form?
I looked in view source of my page, this item is referred as f03.
So i used "apex_application.g_f03", to set this item to its value, in my uncoditional submit process. But it did not work. I tried to refer this item as "f03" in this unconditional submit process. But still it did not help, the selected item loses its value after page refresh(submit).
Please help.

Hi Rave,
You will have to use Javascript and Ajax to change the values as ApEx submissions will lose your results unless they are saved into the database.
Remember, that as you are using a tabular form there will be lots of items called f01, fo2, fo3 etc on the page (one per row).

I know my icloud has record of my installing this app before, but that was the first install that was failed during that time some other apps also keeps loading without respond whey they updated itself, and this app didn't install before I restart the device. But I don't see this app on my device after I restarted the device so it should have been installed on my device. It seems icloud has created some kind of dead loop that makes it not able to get the correct status about this app on my device.
I have no problem install this app on my other device (iPad) with the same account, but just fail on my iPhone. And it just fine installing other apps...... What happened !!?? @@

Firefox 15 keeps on downloading YouTube videos after I close the video page

Since I have the last Firefox 15 update, I noticed Firefox keeps on downloading the video on YouTube after I close the video page or when I go back to previous page and this until the video is over. This did not used to happen with Firefox 14, so I installed Firefox 14 until this problem is fixed.

The Shockwave and Java applications may need 'PLUGIN UPDATE' for newer versions. Suggest a check for any outdated PLUGIN UPDATE found from the Mozilla Firefox Toolbar 'Help' Menu > 'Firefox Help' > [lower right margin displays link to more info to review and 'UPDATE PLUGIN's!
