Good point; I check all my cc and bank accounts online every morning; also set up alerts, for example, 2 days ago AMEX sent me an email (they always send me one when an online charge is made when the card is not physically present since I set up alerts for this online), that a copany charged $10 and another charged $1.00; this happened before when the card was compromised; and only had this card a month, so immediately cancelled and a new amex will come today. Must be the places I use the card, something is fishy if this happens so soon after getting a new card. Anyway, I now keep a list of the vendors I use the card with such as auto charging each month so when my new card comes I can go down the list and ensure the amex is linked to these companies again.

I had my Barclaycard compromised over the weekend, and fortunately caught it the same morning it happened because I check my online card information daily or at least every other day. I reported it to Barclay immediately over the weekend, but the fraud was several different charges for $1,271 to airbedwarehouse.com and walmart.com so it had me pretty upset.  Worse still, this morning I woke up and saw an additional $380 in charges in pending to walmart.com, which were not mine. Luckily when I called the Barclay fraud department, they stated the amount this morning was only an attempt and was declined because I had already canceled the card and reported the fraud over the weekend. You can imagine how upset I was at seeing yet more fraud charges this morning after we had shut down the card over the weekend! (lukcily, it was declined, but showing in pending). The other charges actually did go through, but I will not be responsible for them. This could have been much worse had I not been checking my account daily or every other day. These people had already put through $1,271 in charges SUCCESSFULLY and were trying to do hundreds more very quickly. Barclay says the holds should be removed within 2-3 days at most. I'm relieved that they are acting so quickly on this. Just wanted to let everyone know to be aware and please check your online accounts as often as is reasonably possible. Please check your HOLDS or PENDING charges section as well - that was the only place these were showing up in because they had just occurred, and if I had only looked at the main Barclay page I would not have seen them. Hope everyone has a good week and that this doesn't happen to anyone further. I also hope this information is helpful to someone.

    I remember when Adobe Customer Support existed.  Weren't those the good ole days.  Now they've pawned us off on one another.  Apparently this is what we can expect from Adobe from this point forward.

    I just purchase iphone 5c, and I made my iturne account, in order to downloan the app I have to put my payment information. But always shows " your credit card payment information doesn't match your bank's records". and I tried three different card shows same thing.

    Check out the article below to troubleshoot issues with adding the credit card to your iTunes. You may just need to remove all card accounts and set it to None and then try adding the account again.

  • Is there anyway to use your best buy credit card online before receiving it?

    I know if you haven't received the card yet in the mail you can still use it in store by giving an employee your information. But is there anyway to use it online to make a purchase?

    It's great to hear that you are either considering or have already applied and been approved for a My Best Buy credit card! It is my understanding that you would have one opportunity immediately after being approved for the credit card online to use it. Outside of this browser session, I believe you would need to wait for the arrival of the physical card. Sadly, this means if you apply and are approved in store, you would not be able to use the card online until you receive it.

    After a dozen attempts (within a timespan of 24 hours) to purchase a book that I created using iPhoto, I continue to receive the error message, "Your credit card information cannot be verified at this time. Please try again." Of course, I verified my credit card a dozen times, checked to ensure that the information in my Apple account matched the billing address of my credit card (it does), and I even went into iTunes to make a test purchase using the same Apple account and credit card. Of course, the album purchase in iTunes went through just fine, but I still receive the "verify" error in iPhoto.
    I contacted Apple and, after 40 minutes on the phone with a support tech who appeared to be instant messaging or emailing back and forth with another tech in the print department, no solution was reached. I have purchased books using iPhoto with the same Apple account and credit card at least ten times in the past with no problem. The tech on the phone indicated that problems like this have been more prevalent since Black Friday. At this point, it's anybody's guess, but I am still left unable to purchase and print several photo books that I spent a lot of time making in order to send as gifts for Christmas.

    After some troubleshooting, it would appear that iPhoto doesn't like specific characters placed into the shipping address. Specifically, it doesn't like "℅" which I placed into one of my alternate shipping addresses. When I replaced the "℅" symbol with the words, "care of," my order got placed and confirmation received ... finally.
    As a side note, I actually typed "c/o" and, upon pressing the space bar, iPhoto automatically changed it to the symbol "℅" ... so I'm not sure if it's the symbol that messed up the process or just the forward slash.

    In most cases, what you said is true...however, this is not always the case.  Take myself for example...
    1: I posted my phone online to sell
    2: Someone saw my serial number and called AppleCare to get a replacement phone
    3: An inferior AppleCare representative bypassed a component validation (check serial number to the device on hand) and approved the replacement under my AppleCare plan.
    4:  After noticing this (about 4 days after it happened) and  a trip to Apple and a call to AppleCare, all was resolved.  My phone is back to being covered under AppleCare+
    5:  I learned my lesson.
    So, as you can see, there is a chance that it can be something else.  Although, if the person selling the phone notices, it shouldn't take long to resolve it. Chances are that it is what you said.

    I had purchased an iPhone 5 last month and got the OS updated to iOS 7, yesterday.
    The data cable was of very bad quality and when I took it to the retailer for replacement, they said that its not covered under the one year warranty.
    Secondly, I have also been experiencing network coverage issues with this phone. So, I decided to contact apple care through the web. When entering my serial number/IMEI it says, "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us."
    Does anybody have any idea what the reason behind this could be.
    - First time with iPhone and frustrated.

    contact them for assistance. If you purchased elsewhere, go back
    to that retailer and get them to give you a new iPhone or your money
    back.
    If you have checked the serial number carefully and re-entered it

    and need to pursue the matter with the business you obtained the

    Well, when you purchase from a non-official source you run the risk of getting who knows what from wherever. It appears this phone was replaced under warranty at some point, but not returned to Apple for refurbishment. Thus, the SN is no longer valid for warranty & service. If you can return it and get your money back, I'd suggest you do so.
