Please explain me constructor

could you please exaplain me the meaning of the following constructor:
public class Details {
    Hashtable mapping = new Hashtable();
    Vector values = new Vector();
    char optionChar;
    public Details() {
        this('/');
}Thakns alot

A side-note question: can you legally invoke a
constructor of another signature in C++?I'm pretty sure one can, but I forget the syntax.
Something like:
YourClass::YourClass(args) : this(otherargs),
// additional constructor body here
