Please help combining mpeg4's

I used dvd decoder to take my dvds and decode them into 8 to 12 separate mov. files. then i used an ipod converter to make those into mpeg4 files. it works and i have them playing on my ipod video, but i was wondering how i can get those separate mpeg4 files (that go together to make one movie) to be combined into one mpeg4 file (basically the movie would just be one mpeg4 file) so my library isnt so long. any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you don't need any fancy editing and have QTime Pro (assume Pro needed here), here is what I would do:
1) Duplicate first segment file. (Not necessary, but ensures you don't mess up original file by mistake.)
2) Open duplicate file in QTime
3) Open next segment file.
4) Select all (Command-A) and copy to clipboard (Command-C).
5) Activate the duplicate file by clicking on it.
6) Move play head to end of the track (may not really be necessary -- can't remember) and paste in second segment (Command-V).
7) Repeat steps 3-6 as needed.
8) Save combined product under unique name.
Note: Final movie will be type .mov but is actually in whatever source format you used and will load into iTunes/sync to iPod as is.

Acrobat Pro XI is not recognizing Word 2013 files when I try to combine files in a single PDF. Please help.

I recently upgraded to Office 2013. Everything seems to be working fine with Acrobat Pro XI, except when I try to combine Word 2013 files into a single PDF, I get this message: "Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. . . ." Please help. Thanks.

I've opened both Word and Excel. The Acrobat ribbon is showing in both programs and I did some test things and they seem to be working fine. However, I still cannot see or use formats other than pdf in the Acrobat Pro program. Is there another setting that needs to be adjusted?

Hello, I work for a pharmaceutical company and run reports for credits that we have received. Currently the packages are reported seperately from the credit reports and my job is to combine them. There are two models that handle these and I need to link the second to the first with some common entities. Please help me figure out what I need to do in order to add a credit column to the report. I have a sample of the code below and would appreciate any help you can offer.

All that I need from the second page is to get a value for:
DataConverter.parseBigDecimalWithAlternateWhenNull(pm.getAmtReceived(),"0.00");
which I believe must first have the store id, etc equal to the first model. So there is the existing rvs.FOO and the needed pm.BAR but since it is in an iter loop, I can't seem to figure out how to join the two.
Any ideas?

If this works you will see the normal desktop Once completely started up in Safe Mode, try to restart normally and go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Click on the top hard drive icon in the left sidebar and note the S.M.A.R.T. status at the bottom right of the pane. What does it say?
Select the named boot volume in the left sidebar, ("Macintosh HD" unless it has been renamed). What is the hard drive capacity and how much space remains available on it? Repair permissions on it.
See if you are able to do a little hard drive maintenance to help things out.

Does my problem has anything to do with SSL for mail settings? Cause when I tried re-adding it says something that I should try without SSL, and I did what you said and it gives me this "The IMAP server pop.mail.yahoo.com is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server field". Ahh.. this is so annoying, Apple what are you doing to me?! Or is Yahoo doing this to me?!

Actually it is easier than I thought. It is H264 but the wrapper is m4v. You can just change that in the finder to .mov and drop it into iDVD. iMovie will send it to iTunes so just right click on it in iTunes and select reveal in finder and then copy/paste to desktop and change to .mov. Then drag into iDVD. Really easy.

Combining two partitioned drives??? please help!

a few years back I was running graphic design and music production programs on a partitioned hard drive(Tiger & Leopard) that someone else helped me with while I lived in California. I am currently running OSX snow leopard 10.6.3 running intel core 2 duo and wanting to run the new Lion. My Tiger drive has 212 GB available that I want to merge with my Snow Leopard drive. I know I need to use my disk utility but does anyone have any tips/advice or any dos & donts that would help make this process as fluid as possible w/o having to take my computer into and pay someone a ton of money to solve this?
please help, as I have a project deadline & this is slowing me down :-(

Well if your on a project deadline then upgrading to Lion is the LAST thing you want to do right now.
Some issues about Lion:
Your programs that are older and based on Rosetta WILL NOT WORK ON LION!
Everything is different in Lion which takes some getting used too.
Lion is slightly slower than Snow Leopard. Third party programs, driver software etc., are not all updated to work with Lion.
You reguire 10.6.8 and a AppStore/Apple ID account to download and install Lion.
I have a Intel Core 2 Duo myself, Lion was horrible with it, I had to erase the whole machine, install 10.6, take it to a Apple Store to flash/fix the video as it hosed it completly.
Some other issues I see about you:
You haven't been updating your operating system, your on 10.6.3 and everyone else is on 10.6.8. There are a lot of security and other issues repaired with 10.6.8 that your vulnerable to right now by not Software Updating under the Apple Menu.
When you Software Update, your likley going to have issues with 10.6.8 with installed kext files and other things you don't know about. Your machine could have the grey screen with the spinning wheel and be locked up. Solving these issues are going to be difficult for you.
Deleting and merging your Tiger partition is going to be difficult for you.
My advice for you is this.
If you need Lion, then buy a new machine with it already installed. This way you can come up to speed with it and install programs fresh that are "Lion ready". Work the bugs out and you getting used to it's "differences" while NOT jeapordizing your already working 10.6.3 machine. You can transfer files from the 10.6.3 machine to the 10.7 machine with a USB thumb drive.
When you do a Software Update on the 10.6.3 machine, if something happens, you have the Lion 10.7 machine to get online and come here for asisstance.
You likely don't have any sort of backup system for your data on the 10.6.3 machine, I'd advise you to learn about creating a storage drive, formatting it properly and drag and drop copying of your precious files to the external drive.
Also since everyone should have TWO seperate hardware backups of their data at ALL TIMES, you also should learn about TimeMachine.
Have someone one assist you, that knows all these things.
You can start your education with my thread here, but I advise you not to take any action without backups in place.

Please help - all of a sudden my ipod is showing a padlock on it & it will not let me in to my music - how did this happen & how do I fix it.

Is this a padlock that appears in the upper right hand corner of the iPod's display? If so, that is the lock switch icon indicating that the lock switch located along the top of the Nano is in the On position.
If you have verified that this lock switch is actually in the Off position, the lock switch is likely damaged or faulty and in need of replacement.

No Audio When MPG files converted in Quicktime???? Please Help!

When I convert a video file to Mpeg4 in Quicktime Pro, and then exported to iTunes, the video content is there but no audio. I tried this witha few different video files and happens on all of them. What am I doing wrong???

Firstly, do a search before posting, since this is like the fiftieth posting about this very topic. try the thread/tutorial that has "read this before posting" as part of the topic, and you'll have one answer, at least.

This is not entirely true: QT will not trash audio from all formats when converting for iPod, only from muxed MPEG formats.
MPEG clips (especially .vob files found on DVDs) comprise 'muxed' audio and video channels. basically it means that both are combined as one stream. QT can only extract the video channel from this, leaving the audio floating somewhere in binary limbo. with MPEGs, you WILL first have to use a 3rd party app to convert to a codec that shows A&V channels seperately in QT. handbrake or mpeg-streamclip are great on mac, and vidora is the pc option of choice it seems in this forum.
other QT formats (settings/codecs) work FINE with QTPRO. just ensure you use the correct export settings...

All of my videos imported onto itunes, except for one I just recently download. It is the same mpeg4 format as all the others, and there is no reason I can think of that it will not import. Can anyone please help me?, as I would really like to have this file on my ipod.

The question mark means the computer cannot find a bootable volumes so can;t do anything, That, combined with annoying sounds, strongly suggests a failed hard drive.
You can ask a "genius" at an Apple Rtail Store to test it but I'm pretty sure the drive is kaput. I'm hoping you had your data backed up.
