    I need to know how to deactivate all active installs of a given CS product and serial #, then get new activation keys for the same product.  I realize this is a question only an Adobe rep can answer, but online chat is closed and the phone support line is completely useless, so I have to ask here.

    you will not get or need a new activation key.  your original one will still work for cs3 and later.

    I need to reset my Adobe ID activation count. I have new hardware and when I try to activate ADE it says Too Many Activations.  The forums tell me to contact Live Chat but that is useless.  The last two operators have basically said that they have no expertise in this area and kicked me off.  Extremely frustrated right now.  Can anyone tell me who I should contact?

    Keep trying Chat.  There is a noticable lack of uniform training in the
    Chat operators.  They can reset the activation counter.  Also, you could
    open a case via the web, and if that's the way the Chat operators want you
    to do it, then they should be able to tell you how to open a case.

    I got a new nook and when I try to activate it it says I have too many devises. When I troubleshoot it tells me to contact customer support to reset my activation count. When I call the # it hangs up on me. There is not e-mail address to customer care? At a loss as to what I can do at this point??? Looks like its in Adobe's hands but there's absolutely NO SUPPORT.

    I agree that your explanation matches my experience when I was fortunate enough to chat with a knowledgeable technician during the last few years. However, here are some of the responses received recently from two technicians when I asked them to perform the reset. One of them agreed to perform the task but only after I strongly insisted that she do so.
    "I have checked that you are facing issues with a free product of Adobe,let me inform you that we do not have any chat support for freewares so kindly visit forums.adobe.com to get help from our experts."
    "So kindly visit forums.adobe.com to get help from our experts as there is no chat support available for this."

    I'm going to use your excellent response as a platform for my concerns regarding the inconsistent service provided by Adobe because the sample comments (listed above) made by the technicians are unhelpful and, frankly, unacceptable.
    First of all ADE isn't "freewares". Each time a customer "purchases" an ebook or a library licenses an ebook for patron use, a fee is paid to Adobe. The content provider undoubtedly pays a large fee to obtain the Adobe Content Server utility (I've read this is around $15,000) and a maintenance fee yearly (some say this is $1100). These costs are passed to the end user (us), one way or another.
    Secondly, a request by an end user to reset his/her authorizations doesn't constitute a "How-to" session. Forum members, virtually the only individuals to respond to forum questions (how often does an actual Adobe employee respond?), are the only people closely matching the tech's term for "expert". Obviously, none of us can reset each other's activations.
    Thanks again for your clear explanation of not only the required procedure but also the, gently implied, warning that a member may have some difficulty obtaining needed assistance.

    I've installed iTunes on three machines, yet it says my authotization limit has been reached. I think it's because I'm using a dual boot system with the same copy of iTunes and everytime I swap between the two it asks me for my authorization again. Whatever the reason, PLEASE RESET MY AUTHORIZATION COUNT. There is more than one email address that needs to be reset. The following accounts need to be reset.

    Go into your account settings and do it yourself. Note that you can only do it once, so I really suggest figuring out a way to stop losing your authorization every time.

    I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

    The lack of response is deafening. Im guessing then that Firefoix has serious issues then?..well it'll be there loss if more, like me, opt for Internet Explorer and Google Chrome (both these browsers work fine with the latest Flash Player installed)

    I have a requirement to count the number of active customers for each month of an year. Let's say, we have 3 fields in the table:
    ID               ActiveStart             ActiveEnd
    1                 1/1/2014               11/30/2014
    In this scenario, the member with ID was active for all the months (Jan-November) EXCEPT, December. So, the result set I am expecting for the Month of January to December is like below:
    Month       CountOfMembers
    Jan            1
    Feb           1
    Mar           1
    April          1
    May           1
    June          1
    July           1
    August      1
    Sept          1
    Oct            1
    Nov           1
    Dec           0 (Since, the member was NOT active in this month)
    Similarly, if you have another member whose start date is 1/1/2014 and termination is '5/31/2014', then, I would need to add 1 for months of January till May, the member WON'T be counted for the rest of the months. So, in this case, the count will be come
    "2" for months January till May, it will remain "1" for June till November and still "O" for December.

    Please follow basic Netiquette and post the DDL we need to answer this. Follow industry and ANSI-ISO standards in your data. You should follow ISO-11179 rules for naming data elements. You should follow ISO-8601 rules for displaying temporal data. We need to
    know the data types, keys and constraints on the table. Avoid dialect in favor of ANSI-ISO Standard SQL. And you need to read and download the PDF for:

    There is no magical universal “id” in RDBMS, tables have names and columns have constraints and types. Most of the work in SQL is done in the DDL. Here is a possible schema.

    A month is a temporal measurement that makes no sense without a year. But if you knew the ISO temporal model, you would see that you have what is called an INTERVAL data type. T-SQL does not support it yet. 
    Since SQL is a database language, we prefer to do look ups and not calculations. They can be optimized while temporal math messes up optimization. A useful idiom is a report period calendar that everyone uses so there is no way to get disagreements in the DML.
    The report period table gives a name to a range of dates that is common to the entire enterprise.

    These report periods can overlap or have gaps. I like the MySQL convention of using double zeroes for months and years, That is 'yyyy-mm-00' for a month within a year and 'yyyy-00-00' for the whole year. The advantages are that it will sort with the ISO-8601
    data format required by Standard SQL and it is language independent. The pattern for validation is '[12][0-9][0-9][0-9]-00-00' and '[12][0-9][0-9][0-9]-[01][0-9]-00'

      FROM Month_Periods AS M,
           Duty_Roster AS R
     WHERE M.month_start_date

    We had no business rules about partial months, so I guessed.
