Please test this Java Test Applet on n900

I would be so greatful if someone could indicate whether this java applet runs on the n900?
Oanda Java Test Applet

Some people have used http://www.microemu.org/ to run opera, but it is in no way supported and therefore no way easy to use!
It might improve in the future, but it doesn't seem to be on the immediate roadmap.. There isn't a microb plugin to support Java because there is not JRE that supports native maemo controls.. The windowing tool kit is too different

  • Testing java card applet

    Hi all,
    Am new to java card applet development. I have developed a sample applet. But i don't know how to test it. So can anyone help me understand this.
    please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    To test your application you need to install it on a Java Card virtual machine. This can either be on a real smartcard or in an emulator (such as the ones in the JCDK). When you have it installed you can then send APDU commands to exercise the applet. From memory, there is an example of how to use the CREF simulator in the JCDK Developer Guide that is a part of the package.
    If you have a real card, you can use something like GPShell to load and install your applet and to send commands to it. I have also found it is useful to have a host application written in Java (using jUnit) to test specific commands.

  • Preparedstatement - please test this code!!

    I hope someone can test this code and tell me if it works. It seems to work on my computers (win98 and win2000, and access 2002 database, compiling etc,and even returns that it updated 1 record. But the database is unchanged. Commit is default to autocommit, what else could be causing this? None of the setxxx commands work. Yet no errors are given. Please test and let me know. Or, send me similar simple code that works on an access 2002 database from win98 or 2000. I am wondering if access 2002 has something to do with this. I am using default ODBC driver that came with the OS.
    Thank you,
    Jacques
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class test {
    static Driver d;
    static Connection conn;
    final static String jdbcDriver="sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver";
    static String databaseURL = "jdbc:odbc:" + "dbtest";
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    d = (Driver) Class.forName(jdbcDriver).newInstance();
    conn = DriverManager.getConnection(databaseURL);
    PreparedStatement stmt = conn.prepareStatement(
    "UPDATE employee SET emp_id = ? WHERE Index = ?");
    stmt.setString( 1, "John" );
    stmt.setInt( 2, 2);
    System.out.println("about to update");
    int count = stmt.executeUpdate();
    System.out.println("number updated=" + count);
    catch( Exception e ){
    System.out.println("Error:" + e);
    Database: Set up access database with table employee at least 2 records, one field called emp_id, register it in odbc as dbtest

    Ok, for anyone else that encounters this, I found the answer! After a week of very frustrating testing, I stuck in a close() to the connection, and the changes were then actually made. I had counted on Java to close them properly upon exit, but I must specify the conn.close() after the executeUpdate before they take effect. Another weird worm of Java IMHO.

  • Java Card Applet Development, Testing, Loading in Eclipse 3.2.0

    Dear friends,
    1.
    we have installed Eclipse 3.2.0, activated JCOP Tools 3.1.2, installed Java Card 2.2.1 devepment tools..
    2.
    How we can start testing and loading the java applet into JCOP31 chip ??
    3.
    It's said that we should use Java Card Workstation Development Environment (JCWDE), but we can not find it in the eclipse .
    4.
    Where we can find Eclipse menu for the
    -Converter tool
    -APDU Tool Utility
    -Java Card Workstation Development Environment (JCWDE)
    5.
    is there any resource/web/link that contains Eclipse tutorial on this Java Card Development ???
    Tks,
    hendy

    1. Good.
    2. I suggest you start testing using the simulator, however if you want to test directly on the card at once, select your card reader using the /term command and use the commands as described in help to start sending APDUs to the card.
    3. This is not a part of the JCOP tools for eclipse (which is developed by IBM and maintained by NXP), but part of the JavaCard development toolkit developed and maintained by Sun. See http://java.sun.com/products/javacard/dev_kit.html.
    4. Read the above. None of this is part of JCOP tools for eclipse.
    5. As far as I know, there is no independent newbie guide for JCOP tools, but I would check out the help function included in the tools themselves if I were you.
    Good luck!

  • Can somebody please test KDE's media support on this link?

    Those of you running KDE and using Konqueror, please check this out:
    http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/test.html
    On my system,  all the available test movies fail to play via the Konqueror's built-in plugin (which uses Kaboodle to play stuff). Kaboodle's panel does appear, but displays 00:00/00:00 for time/length, and just stays blank.
    So, how many of you does that happen to? Can you recognize any conditions that might be responsible for it?

    I tried now (I have mplayer - kmplayer) and mpeg and fli start but for avi and quictime kmplayer does appear but movies (look) are too long or what because downloading and downloading and didn't start. I will try again in the evening.

  • Could somebody please test this app on Apple TV?

    Hi,
    Wifey is interested in getting Apple TV gen2, but only if the following App works with it.
    She wants to stream video from YOUKU HD (the app name) from IPAD 2 to our bedroom TV using Apple TV.
    Would somebody please test this app to see if it streams ok or not via Airplay?
    It is a free app.
    Please and thank you to anyone who could assist.
    Must be IPAD2
    Must be You KU HD
    Must be Apple TV 2nd generation.
    Kind regards,
    Chris.

    Dodgy? lol
    Never thought of it like that, but to answer your question, yes YOU KU is a kind of YouTube but in China.
    Is it legal, yes it is from what I know. It only has chinese content from what I have seen.
    In itunes one of the screenshots has a Tom & Jerry cartoon which I suspect is copyrighted material, and it specifically says it has copyrighted material though something may have been lost in translation. (Species-specific content - is that TV for the cat/dog/hamster ;-) )
    If they are offering copyrighted material streaming for free it sounds dodgy though it may not be of course.
    When I mentioned polarised ratings it seems to have about 50/50 1 star vs 5 star ratings in itunes.

  • Can someone please test this widget?

    Hi,
    (sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I couldn't find a better place)
    Can someone please try this widget?
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/information/speciesdistributionmap.html
    The map shows on 2 out of 3 of the macs in the office but we can't determine why it doesn't work on the third... If you can see the map, then it works. We can't spot any difference in the settings on the machines
    Many many thanks!

    I have the i7-720 and the processor and I can attest to the W510 overheating. I recently had my planar replaced under warranty and it returned with an overheating issue for heavy processor loads.  This overheating was resolved by properly applying thermal paste (lenovo applied about 3x as much as was needed)  while the GPU continues to overheat and cause stuttering. If I run furmark in any resolution for a length of time at maximum fan speed and watch the GPU overheat, throttle, and overheat again. This would all be fine if it didn't cause the whole system to lag terribly in games or on the desktop.
    In my view the design of the GPU cooler and thermal pads for the GPU memory cooling are very sensitive to installation. The cooler is easy to bend and the pressure clamp for the GPU isn't really designed to a certain tolerance. It's simply a clamp with a bent part that will apply some random amount of pressure to the gpu cooler.
    It's just such a delicate system of cooling that there is too much room for error. It has to be installed correctly in order to function properly and I don't think there is really a good way of making sure that you've done it without running benchmarks for hours after reinstalling the cooler. I don't think this is something Lenovo is going to do. There aren't any options from Lenovo for a better heat sink design and I am pretty sure not everyone is having these issues.
    So I'm going to mess with the GPU cooler until it starts working. Here's a furmark screenshot showing the temps.

  • Please test my project

    Who could help me testing my project ?
    I've made a scripting language that is intended for writing
    web based games. It uses a syntax much similair to Basic.
    It has a built-in tile engine. The scripts are executed by
    a Java applet, so they can run from a browser.
    The IDE includes a tile editor, an image converter,
    syntax highlighting, undo, auto-save and topic-sensitive help.
    Here is a preview image of a game I wrote with it:
    PREVIEW
    [TEST APPLET|http://www.freewebs.com/abcbasic/]
    This is a code sample:
    createworld 40, 30
    loadtiles "tile.gif"
    for i = 0 to 5
      x = cos(i * 60) * 5 + 10
      y = sin(i * 60) * 5 + 7
      setworld x, y, 1
    endfor
    new mario, "mario_l.gif"
    positionplayer mario, 320, 240
    .repeat
      if key(key_left)  then moveplayer mario, -1,  0 endif
      if key(key_right) then moveplayer mario,  1,  0 endif
      if key(key_up)    then moveplayer mario,  0, -1 endif
      if key(key_down)  then moveplayer mario,  0,  1 endif
      coll = playercollideswithworld(mario)
      clearscreen
      drawworld
      drawplayers
      if coll then
        text 20, 20, "collision!!"
      endif
      showscreen
    goto repeatYou can download my project from here:

    It will be available for 7 days on that link.
    It includes full documentation with examples, and a mario sample
    game. Please let me know if you have any remarks, questions or other issues, via this topic or mail.
    My address is anythom [at] yahoo.com.
    Thanks!

    Of course, I'll elaborate it (a little). :P (It might be because I'm used to Java, but this is just the way I see it. ;))
    for i = 0 to 5
      x = cos(i * 60) * 5 + 10
      y = sin(i * 60) * 5 + 7
      setworld x, y, 1
    endforLet's have a look at this, for example.
    Firstly, you don't use brackets { }. Instead, you use for & endfor, to see what's the beginning and end of the loop. I find this pretty unreadable, so I don't like it. Next to that, it's longer, and takes more time. (Just a detail, but I mention it anyway). I understand it might be easier for young children, because they know what ends there, but I believe simple bracket pair highlighting can 'fix' this.
    Also, 'setworld x, y, 1' looks weird to me, can't really explain why, just a habit, I suppose.
    .repeat
    // code
    goto repeatI don't like a non OO-language. OO-languages are much more readable and are, in my opinion, easier to write, (and more efficient).
      if coll then
        text 20, 20, "collision!!"
      endifSame here, don't like the 'then' and 'endif' and I don't find it really good readable without brackets () around the if statement (so 'if (coll)').
    About the other things, like clearscreen, moveplayer, key(key_left) I'm either positive, or certainly not negative.
    Do you have msn or something? That talks easier (if you want to talk, ofc). Mine is [email protected] -- Add me if you like.
    Btw, can't you use double statements in an if, like && or ||? I haven't seen that in your code.

  • Please test my game

    Hello...
    I'm trying to develope Puyo Puyo(Variation of tetris) game through Java(Java Console Application). The game is like that we have to display 4 types of smiles & if 4 Similar smilies forms the row or Column then score is increased & that row/column will be removed from Application.
    Till now im able to generate smiles on canvas using thread which allow to move smile in downword direction till touches the boundary but when i using arrow keys to control smiles to move it left/right using keylistener Adapter , then keypressed event is not working,moreover thrad continues to move smile downward but it not allowing keypressed event to get into act.
    I used KeyAdapter class outside the thread.Is this the reason why keyListener is not working.
    Can any body tell to overcome this proglem Plz give me Hints.
    Thanks in Advance

  • Quick preview issues - can someone please test

    Quick preview does not seem to work correctly.
    When photographing, I do not have my camera automatically rotate my images. I do this so I can see a full preview on the LCD on the back of the camera. When I download images into Aperture, I rotate manually.
    With the advent of Quick Preview, I have begun to use it only to find that with RAW files, the manually rotated image appears squished and not formatted correctly in the viewer (2nd display). Images that were not manually rotated appear fine. For some reason, when photograph in JEPG, the same issue does not surface. All images, manually rotated included, appear fine in the viewer.
    Could someone please test if this is happening for themselves too.
    Thank you in advance,

  • Please test my package

    Hi, I've created a PKGBUILD for mysql-ruby, but in the manuel they say that I first should create a few packages before submitting. This is my first PKGBUILD so please test it so I can submit it to aur.archlinux.org

    somehow the getContextPath() is returning nullYou are probably deploying from a WAR file?
    I am having problem specifying the relative URL to my servlet for it to display CSS and JS filesIt depends on the path under which you are invoking your servlet. For example, lets say we have a servlet MyServlet and you map that servlet to a pattern "/servlet/MyServlet". Your url might look like:
    http://localhost:8080/myapp/servlet/MyServlet
    Now if you have some images that you store in the /img folder, so the url for one image might be:
    http://localhost:8080/mymap/img/myimage.png
    then you'll need to reference that image from your servlet like:
    <img src="../img/myimage.png">That will make the browser use the correct url when looking for resources. If you simply use:
    <img src="img/myimage.png">then the browser will use http://localhost:8080/myapp/servlet/img/myimage.png .

  • Please Test My Forum

    Hi can you please test my new phpbb forum and tell me what

    Forum Link

    You should know this by now then, please *do* not double or
    triple posting in Dreamweaver forums for one same topic.
    This will just to confuse participants as to keep track of
    participation path or following disucssions if posted more than
    three forums all together. So, please try to pick the appropriate
    forum to address your post question.
    Good luck with your own forums. Cheers!

  • Users of non-English interface: please test and report bug to Apple

    interesting observation in the German interface:
    set iMovie prefs to 'show no frames' in time ('9s' instead of '9:00')
    in the German interface, the abrv. for second in use is 'sek' ('9sek')
    these two extra letters obviously kill some internal math of iMovie:
    entering '53' into the Inspector results in 10min = max length
    '53,00', '53:00'. '00:53', '0,53' - no difference!
    setting iMovie to English on same Mac results in correct handling.
    in case, your interface language arbreviates 'seconds' to something more than just one letter, please test it.
    in case it results into the same '10min' error, please report at:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/imovie.html

    Back when lots of folks used dialup, there was the issue of call-waiting - it would disconnect an active connection.  There was a key combination you could punch into the phone to disable it - Google showed me how:
    http://www.yashy.com/star.codes.html
    *70 Call Waiting Disable (Per Call)
    So call waiting might be the problem.  Or phone line quality might also be it.  You can probably get your local provider out to test the line quality, but I don't think they ever claimed the voice line would have a level of service guaranteed good for data transmission.  But it seems unlikely that the modem would be the issue - if it works, i'll work until it completely dies.  I have no idea how you might go about testing a modem these days.
