Plnned ,standard  and actuval cost updation.

Dear All,
please let me know the following points,
after production order confirmation what values will be updated?
what is the functionality of ck11n?
Thanks,
Sekhar.

Hi!
After confirmation of the Production Order, system will give you the entry of GI for Order through 261 Mvt. Type which would be following :
Raw Material / Packing Material Consumption A/C  Dr
To Raw Material / Packing MAterial Inventory Account Cr
Above would be for whatever goods have been issued to Production / Process Order.
CK11N is used to run the Standard Cost Estimate of particular Finished Goods / Semi Finished Goods, which should be run generally at the starting of any period every time. After that only Production Order should be run for that FG / SFG. By running CK11N (Or CK40N for mass run of Std. Cost Estiamate) and releasing through CK24, it will update Std. Cost for that specific period in Material Master for that FG / SFG. Based on that you have estimated (Plan) cost of that FG / SFG.
While you run the entire cycle of production order upto settlement, you will get actual cost for your production order. So, Based on above mentioned plan and this actual cost in your production order for that FG / SFG, you will also get analysis of variance.
Hope it will clear to you. Pls get back for further query. Encourage if useful.
Thanks & Regards,
Taral Patel

  • Transferring Standard and Actual costs to COPA

    Hi,
We are using 3 valuations (Legal, Profit Center and Group Valuations). In order to transfer standard and actual costs to COPA for all 3 valuations do we need to create 3 costings (total 6) for transferring standard and and 3 costings keys for transferring actual costing to COPA?
    Thanks.

    Hi Ravi.
    Very interesting question!
1: Ledgers in FI are not related with Material Ledger Valuation. EG, in FI you can have IFRS, TAX, and GAAP; and in ML You can have "currency/valuations"  Legal, PCA / Group. Keep in mind this are different stuff.
2: In Material Ledger, you can valuate your stock according to different ledgers, with the bussiness function FIN_CO_COGM (Paralell cost of goods manufactured). The idea of this BF is have alternative valuations assigned to the principles (IFRS, TAX, GAAP), so in FI you can accomplish different Stocks, COGS and on accounts, based on different accounting principles. You can understand this as the brothers of FI Ledgers, in order to do product costing.
3: In PA, you only post (or transfer) one record.  You have to decide if use "Local, Group, PCA or Paralell Cost of Goods Manufactured". (Im 90% sure based on lot of reading, maybe im missing somethings).
Please, check this old post. Waman is a good source of info!

  • Cost Updating and Standardized cost difference apportion

    Dear All,
1、 Cost updating:Standardized cost or average cost change is updated across all sub-inventory simultaneously, but the update should exclude the inventory that lends stocks (we do not want to update the cost of lending stock).
2、Standardized cost difference apportion:Standardized cost difference apportion is operated manually without system support (we want to do the apportion when stocks are delivered).
I am stuck up with these question ..
please let me know the solution or the workaround to achive this
    Appriciate your help

  • Standard cost update errored

    Good Day All,
Happy new year. The Standard cost update process errored out for specific individual parts with the following being the only error message in the log file:
    No Errorw CSTPSISC.INS_STD_COST (70): ORA-00001: unique constraint (INV.MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS_U1) violated
    CMLCCU-0999 : Cleaning up
The only thing I can find anywhere is in the CST MGMT users guide indicating uncosted transactions as the culprit. We have no uncosted or unprocessed transactions. I'm not sure what possible unique constraint on NV.MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS_U1 is being violated and the error message obviously shows nothing. If anyone has any help I'd appreciate it.

  • Costing with Standard and Moving Average Price

    Hello All,
I understand that SAP recommends Std Price for Semi Finished /Finished goods and MAP for trading goods and raw materials.
How does costing takeplace when it includes both the materials - semi finished and trading goods.
    Is it possible at all?
    Any suggestions will be helpful.
    Thank You,
    Andy

    Hiya,
You may want to frame your question differently.
When what(?) contains SF and Trading Goods? BOM? Costing Run?
The Std Price and MAP you mentioned are the Price Control Indicators. These dictate the price to use and the treatment required for the material (realtime stock value updation during the month with GR/GI for MAP and no value updates for SP).
By itself, it does not affect the costing of (say) a BOM containing both these materials together... the system determines what price to use and costs the product accordingly.
    Cheers.

  • Standard cost updation

  • K/834 no standard cost estimate and ke435 costing key 000 does not exist

    Hi ,
scenario as under we have following type of materials
normal Material that has cost estimate
    Configuarable material
Material without cost estimate -prices are updated thru MR21 (as some legacy system calculated the price)
There are many company codes and use one or more above  category of material. further we have common Material type and valuation class.
we need cost component split to get updated in COPA and for that i create 2 costing key one for normal and other for normal one and developed an enhancement (KEPC) that check whether material is configurable or not. based on that it assign 001 or 002 costing key
it went well but failed for material that has no cost estimate and got error K/834.
To tackle same we insert further logic to check for normal material whether cost estimate exist, if yes then assign costing key 001 else ignore it. configurable material logic remain as it is. it working fine for normal and Configuarable material but normal material without cost estimate resulted in error KE435.
    need to know:
-at first place why system  generates K/834 error for enhancement - earlier we were using assignment rule (KEPC) where we use valuation class and assigned costing key 001, it worked for normal one and ignore configurable one and normal material without cost estimate. I haven't changed costing key rule and exclusive error is not marked .
    - any other way to tackle besides resetting message class from error to warning or changing Materila type or valuation class as that is not acceptable due to other complexity.
    Regards,
    Atul

    Hi,
    It resolved thru enhancement

  • Allocating Standard and Variances of Production Costs into CO-PA

    Hi Experts,
I would like to ask you about the process of allocating eg. humal labour into CO-PA.
    Lets have an example:
We have planned to spend 10 hours on some action. But actually we have spent 20 hours.
When we allocate our time from some PC, we have to allocate actuals, that means 20 hours, which will come into CO-PA online.
At the end of the period we run Production Order Settlement and find the variance.
What will now happen do distinquish between the planned costs and variances?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
    Kindly Regards,
    Radek

    Hi,
I am not really sure about your question
We have planned to spend 10 hours on some action. But actually we have spent 20 hours.
When we allocate our time from some PC, we have to allocate actuals, that means 20 hours, which will come into CO-PA online.
At the end of the period we run Production Order Settlement and find the variance
The 20 hours will only flow to Production order and not to COPA online.
Whatever the difference between the planned actual vlaues in the cost centers, they will come a cost center variance report. It does not effect any where else.
But if there are any balances left out (difference between the total cost collect to the cost centers and the cost obsorbed to production orders etc), this values need to be assessed to COPA using COPA Assessment cycles
I hope i touched your question.
Please do let me know if your question is different. If it is different, please rephrase your question
    best regards
    Surya

  • Costs and settled costs layout in standard reports

    Thanks guys.

    Hi
Include this ZPP2 in a separate report group (GR51)... After that,
    1. Create the transaction code,say, ZF01_TCODE from Se93
    2. Choose "Transaction with parameters".. Press enter
    3. Enter START_REPORT in the Transaction field and press Enter
    4. Select the Skip initial screen and Inherit GUI attributes check boxes
    5. On the same screen, scroll down to the Default Values table and select parameters D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE and
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORT.
    6. Enter RW for the report type and your report group ZCC8 as the report value
    7. Now you can save your transaction and transport it to other systems

  • Standard and Moving average Price

    Hi,
What is the Difference between Standard and Moving Avg Price, What are the Cases will we use Standard  Price ,and what are cases shall we use Mov.avg Price, Please Explain me with Example.

    Hi Lakshmi,
Moving average price is maintained for all the outside procured materials and standard price is maintained for all inhouse manufactured materials...
We need to run standard cost estimate monthly to update the prices of all the materials with price control S... Prices of materials with price control V will get updated as soon as we do GRN for the materials on the weighted average method...

  • Extra expenses (dunning and bank costs ...) on Payments

    Hello,
I ask you how to manage the extra expenses (for examples for dunning and banks costs) on incoming payments and outgoing payments.
I tried to increase the amount of payment but it is not possible.
It is possible only to make a manual journal entry before or after the payment but it is not too good.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Check Note no. : 1286810 regarding the issue mentioned by you.
I have copied the solution part of the Note for your reference which is as follows :
When processing bank transfer payments from customers or suppliers, there is a requirement to record the related bank charge. Is there a way to post this bank charge fee with the Incoming or Outgoing Payment transaction?
    Solution
In the 'Payment Means' window of the 'Incoming or Outgoing Payment' function, there is currently no facility to define the bank charge.
In standard Business One application, the bank charge can be posted using the following:
    Create a separate Journal Entry.
Create an Adjusting Journal Entry during the process of reconciling bank statements with the Cash Account balance.
To address the requirement, the 'Credit Card' tab of the 'Payment Means' window can be used to hold the Bank Charges. The details of the workaround are shown below:
    1. In the 'Credit Card' tab, click on the 'Credit Card Name' field and select 'Define New' to display the 'Credit Cards - Setup' window.
    2. Enter a description for the bank charge and the corresponding bank charge account. For example, enter 'Bank Charges'. Then, click on 'Update'. Close the window.
    3. Access the 'Incoming Payment' function to post an incoming payment.
    4. Select an A/R Invoice for payment. Consider this scenario:
    A/R Invoice Balance - GBP 100
Customer Payment - GBP 100 (through Bank Transfer)
Bank Fees - GBP 5 (to be paid by the Company)
Net Amount of Cash in the Bank - GBP 95
    5. Access the 'Payment Means' window. In the 'Credit Card' tab, call up the Bank Charges. Notice that the G/L Account automatically appears on the 'G/L Account' field.
    6. Enter the values in the 'Credit Card No.', 'Valid Until', 'Payment Method' and 'Voucher No.' fields. Set the 'No. of Payments' to '1'.
    7. In the 'Amounts Due' field, enter the amount of the bank charge. In this case, it is GBP 5.
    8. Access the 'Bank Transfer' tab to complete the remaining payment details. In the 'Total' field, click on 'Copy Balance Due'. This will automatically bring the GBP 95 to the field. The GBP 95 is the net cash amount that is received in the bank. Once done, click on 'OK'.
    9. Add the incoming payment transaction. The journal entry will be as follows:
    Dr. Cash, GBP 95
    Dr. Bank Charges, GBP 5
Cr. BP Accounts Receivable, GBP 100
    Hope it helps.
    Kind Regards,
    Jitin
