Plot.Plot Color Bug?

I am puzzled about this. Check out the two almost identical VIs attached. Run the first one and try to change the Plot Color. The color property changes based on the color value. Do the same with the second VI (PlotColorWrong.vi). Try to change the color of the plot - it does not change!
Am I doing something wrong or is this a LV bug?

you would use a FOR loop, e.g. as follows:

Display color bug "blue tint" color issue

I've been all too familiar with the color bug since the first week i got my led macbook pro.. back then i was using fast user switching, and noticed it.. then did some research leading to the dmproxy fix, that tuaw wrote up an applescript for. http://www.tuaw.com/2006/03/29/fixscreen-applescript-to-fix-fast-user-switching- color-bug/
this worked for a long while... even through the leopard upgrade that I had hoped would solve it. I had to reinstall for an unrelated issue and since she doesn't use mine anymore i never set up an account for my girlfriend this time. so.. no user fast switching.. I thought i wouldn't even come across this problem again... but..
after getting back from my christmas vacation I notice that now that it has my external display hooked up the same thing happened. perhaps it happened earlier and i didn't catch it.. but either way, the same symptoms.. bad color, blueish tint, too cool,.. etc. etc.
Now when I try to run dmproxy, it wouldn't run.. i chalked this up to different location in leopard and found dmproxy. ran it.. and nothing.. so I go to my display sys prefs.. and attempt to calibrate the display.. it acts really funny,.. in that when the initial window comes up that has the checkbox for expert mode.. if i click that and then go to the next step.. as soon as i do, the screen changes profiles and look ten times worse.. and i'm unable to complete the calibration because nocorrect settings can make it look normal.. it has extreme tints.. if i go all the way back to the first window, it goes back to the original slightly off color.. if i try with out expert mode.. it doesn't look any better when done.. but it does give me a calibration file.
restarting, shutting down aren't doing anything.. and It is far enough off to be very bothersome.. is there an updated fix for leopard? anyone else come across this.. i don't want to have to go to the apple store.. please help.

I get the blue tint after my MBP wakes from screen saver, and I also have an external monitor attached. The blue tint only happens on the MBP screen, not the ext monitor. It only happens when I have the external monitor connected.
This may be a bit early to declare a fix for this issue, because I don't think I have permanently, but here's what worked for me today. In the Display Preferences, I had created a new Display Profile for the external monitor. I switched it back to the default profile (in my case Dell 2007FP), and activated the screen saver. When I stopped the screen saver, no blue tint on the MBP screen. Switched back to my custom Display Profile and repeated the process. No blue tint. Hmmm... Now I can't get the blue tint to come back after numerous attempts, when before I could reproduce it at will.
Give it a try and let us know if it works for you too.

Color BUGS with new ATI 2600 HD

People with the new MAC PROs with the ATI 2600HD cards - list your Color bugs here. And solutions if you have them!
Here is what I am seeing:
1. In the Color FX room, if you try to make a VIGNETTE and set the Type to anything other than "0" or "1" you get a graphics bug - basically the vignette goes crazy and creates black lines all over the screen. Both zero and one only give you a circle vignette, and 2 is supposed to give you a square vignette.
2. Also in the Color FX room, trying to get your vignette to track along the path of a tracker seems to fail, and have the vignette move in the opposite direction.
Anyone else seeing this please pipe in - and if you have the same video card please give these a tes on your machine and report if you can reproduce this bug!

Plot legend color

During data acquisition I am checking the values of certain data to make sure they are in the allowable range. I am plotting several of these "checked" values on the same waveform graph. I was wondering if there is a way to change the color of the background of the plot legend (as seen in the picture) while the program is running? I would also like to be able to change each one independently.
I have seen ways of changing the color of the waveform graph colors before running and I have also seen the use of a multicolumn listbox for something similar, but I would like to use the legend itself. I have searched and as of a year or so ago it appears as if there is no way to do this. I was just wondering if this had changed.

Afaik, you cannot use the plot legend itself to change the background color but you can have a front panel color box control and use this to write to a property node. You cannot have different background because you have a single graph and obviously, only one background color. For displaying data in and out of tolererance, have you seen the example called Envelope? It uses the new Plot Images property.

Polar plot line color

I have three vector plotting using polar plot.vi the problem is when I tread to shift the line color, only use black, I need three diferents colors any suggestion?. I put a picture with my block diagram.
I would like too chance the line width how to I can realice this using mi VI?

Plots of color in Adobe Illustrator cs4 / 10 % pantone 240 C

Hello, My question is the following one, I have an emblem that takes pantone 240 C 30 % pantone 240 C 85 % pantone 240 C In the palette of colors appear these plots, copies and you beat the logo in another document and in the palette already there appear neither the plots nor 30 % nor 85 % pantone 240 C only the pantone 240 C, therefore the information of a file gets lost to other one, since the files that I generate form a part of different files Ai, is a madness to guard bookshops. Therefore I have to introduce the plots in panel again manually. I believe that it(he) would have to be automatic, or do not do anything, well. Thank you.

I have no idea what that means. Are you suggesting a new feature or asking for help with Illustrator? If the former, ten please restate, making it clear what feature you are suggesting and how one would use it. If the latter, then post in the regular forum, not feature requests. Ask the question more clearly, because that was a mess. Also state OS and Illustrator version in use.

Plot legend customization bug in 8.5?

If someone can confirm this for me, I would appreciate it.
I have 2 issues which I think may be based on the same problem:
1. Take the attached control and insert into a LV 7.1 - 8.2 VI. The plot legend should have the system box instead of the 3D decoration. Insert the same control into 8.5. It changes back to the default 3D decoration. This doesn't appear to happen all the time, as this control properly inserts itself into 8.5.
2. The customization of the plot legend is not working properly. Take any of the attached controls, or use a standard Waveform Graph. Customize it. Go into customize mode. 8.5 has taken away the old method where you can simply right click on a decoration of a sub-control and replace it. But, you can select the sub-control and go to Edit->Customize Control, then replace the decoration. You can see this works with the Cursor list and axes list. However, when you select the plot legend, and go to Edit->Customize, LV doesn't do anything. No error beep, no nothing. So the plot legend cannot be customized. I see this behavior for charts, grpahs, and XY plots.

OK, I will post more pictures.
So, I try to customize the standard waveform graph in LV, but right-clicking on the plot and select Advanced-> Customize or Edit->Customize Control form the menu. Go into Customize mode.
In 8.2 and before, you used to be able to just right-click on the decoration for the plot legend and replace it with something from the clipboard, etc.
In 8.5, this functionality has been removed.
However, you can select the item and go to Edit->Customize Control (I show it here for the cursor legend, as it works). You get a new control window.

Plot different colors for thresholds above, in range, and below

I am working on a project that reads data from a com port and graphs the data. For one set of data, I need to check to see if the data is above/below a threshold. I would like the color for the data that is in between the upper and lower thresholds to be a certain color, and the data that is above or below to be to be a different color than the safe range. I have figured out how to get either the above or below to work but not at the same time. Here is an example vi that depicts what I have done so far but is simplified to the extent you do not need to receive any data. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Business Graphics: Plot Area Coloring

experts!
How do business graphics customization works? (2004s)
requirement: A column graph and a parabolic graph should be shown in a single graph. The background for this graph should be colored to show a range, say acceptable values in green and others in red.

3D Graph Color Bug

I am just discovering the new 3D graph objects (LV 2010) and noticed some odd behavior.
If you color the Graph object (not the plots), this cannot be undone (in other words Ctrl-Z does not work).
This is fine since a simple work around is to paint the object back with the original color.
I think it qualifies as a bug nonetheless.
However, here is an even more odd thing: if you paint the "ViewPoint" buttons (or whatever they are called), depending on where you click with the brush, you may end up with a square smack in the middle of the button as shown below (bottom right):
The problem is that there does not seem to be a workaround.
Since Ctrl-Z does not work, I tried to paint the square with a transparent color, and a few color combinations, but could not find a way to revert to the original "no square hidding the glyph" situation.
The only fix is to "Revert" to the previous VI status (which is pretty drastic), or delete the Graph object and put a brand new one instead (or replace it by a brand new one), which is barely less drastic.
Is this a known "feature"?

Hi there, so that behavior is intended but there is a workaround that I was able to find for you. The attached vi lets you color the 3d graph and modify the properties and those properties will stay after you save.

Set Marker Color Bug

I was relieved after much digging to find you can make a keyboard shortcut to make a marker of a specific color with just one click. As opposed to making a marker and then going back to it to change its color.
However for some reason when using this while playing a clip, this only works in a timeline, or on a video clip. When I use the same command on an audio only file, i.e. music cue. It just creates a marker of the default color 1. - This is only when playing the clip. If you park the playhead it works as expected no mater what the clip is.
I'm frustrated, because the main reason I needed this feature was to tap out the beats in music for easier editing while I listen to the music cue (in real time). I like to use color 1 for each beat in the 4-4 measure, and on the fourth measure tap out a new color so i can see where it repeats.. that way I can easily cut from color 2 to color 2 almost anywhere in the song seamlessly. Sometimes I choose a third color when the melody loops so I know I can smoothly truncate a song with little to no effort.
I noticed after the fact I can jump back to the marker and change it's color with the tool.. it just won't do it on an audio file while it's playing.
Is this just a bug? Just a bug on my system? Is it an intentional workflow on Adobe's part for some reason? Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I know it. But if I set attribute values on my page, everything is right. If I set it from code, there is an error.
I think that it is a bug, because component, for which I set attribute, has client id like: UIDataId:rowIndex:componentId. I set value to component on the third row, and have this value on components on the third and the fifth row.
To tell the truth, I am sure, that it is a bug. If it is not so, please tell me, how an I set attribute value to component, which I need. Is there any way? I think, no. And it is a bug.

Code Coloring Bug: Ranges in DateFields

Adding ranges to DateFields in an mxml file will cause the

That "complaint thing" is the bug reporting tool, there is no
bug
tracking system, its the only way your going to be able to
communicate
with Adobe about the bug. There is no list of bugs, and you
will never
know for sure if/when it will be fixed. If your lucky you may

ColdFusion Builder 3 Code Coloring Bug

Hello CFBuilders,
I encountered what I believe is a bug within CFBuilder 3 (standalone and Eclipse plugin) where code coloring breaks after you insert a comment in a function with named arguments. To replicate the issue copy/paste the following code in CF Builder:

It should be noted that Dreamweaver can handle this type of code coloring situation fine.

They say they fixed this, but the release has been sitting in beta testing for AGES. They said this was fixed last month but they sure are taking their sweet time releasing anything through the update site.

Canvas background color bug

Hey,
abviously there is a bug in the new Adobe Reader X.
The Adobe Reader crashes at start up when setting the background color of the 3D annotation canvas with the following function:
In Adobe Reader 9.x this worked for me!

I am using Windows Vista 64bit and I create the PDF with the iText library, but as I said, with Adobe Reader 9.x everything worked fine for me. Now, with Adobe Reader X, that does not work.:(

Clip color bug in CS6 ?

I have been doing some work on an audio project we have.
Part of this work involves coloring clips in a certain group.
Anyway, I colored all the clips and checked it out. Everything was fine.
I saved it, closed down AA and went back in, and... shock.... some of the clips had changed color!
It looks like a bug!
I tested it out a few times and changed clip colors and changed them back, saved, exited, etc, and... coming back in the clips had changed color.
Are you aware of this? Does it do the same for you?

Its easy for me just to write the fx parameters down and insert them manually into cs6. Luckily they're just one or two track effects.
With CS6, the colors seem to be much less vibrant than 3.0 etc... So clip groups look less distinct. I have to got though anyway and change some colors here and there.
The other strange issue I am having with cs6 is that of clip volume..... but thats a separate post I made a few mins ago!
