PM Order Settlement to two costcenters

Dear
I have to settle cost based on consumption of spares ie Electrical & Electronics. Is there any procedure settle cost to costcenter based on cosumption of material as this causing manual entry to amount to respective costcenter.
Thanks and Regards,
Mohan

Dear Jacob,
Thanks for information. If I misunderstand please guide me. Please find my requirement.
My question is not related to actual settlement.
I have to create a <b>settlement rule</b> based on Consumption of the Material (Spares) in order.
My scenario is:
1. I have one Maintenance Task list for both electrical and Electronics maintenance ie One Order an equipment.
2. While doing the maintenance I have consumed 2 Electrical spares of cost Rs.1428 and 1 electonic Spares cost Rs.2352.
3. Now I have to book same amount cost to respective costcenter (Electrical & Electronics).
4. Before "TECO" I have to Manually specify in settlement rule that Rs.1428 to Electrical cost center and Rs. 2352 to Electronics cost center.
My requirement is, I dont want to do manual entry of this amount in Settlement rule.
Any Automatic Procedure (ex User exit) to update this amount from consumption of spares against order to respective cost centers in order settlement rule.
Regards,
Mohan

  • Maintenance Order Settlement Authorization

    Dear Experts,
    I have the following scenario.
    Maintenance Order types:
    A1, A2, A3 and A4
User ID1 and User ID2, both are having as of now authorization for T.Code: KO88.
Now, For User ID1, I want to restrict his authorization for order type A4.
For User ID2, I want to allow this user for only order type A4.
Basically I want to restrict user to settle certain type of orders.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rajat

    Dear Rajat,
Please check following Two ways of achieving your requirement.
Please check the Authorization Roles provided to the user who is currently doing Settlement in table AGR_USERS & Check if any of these Authorization Roles has value AUFART by passing in field FIELD in table AGR_1251. you can also pass your order types in field Low to check if he is getting Order Type Authorization from somewhere.
If you get positive Result, Copy the Object & Split your role to restrict the authorization for user by chnaging desired Order Types.
This will confirm if SAP Check Order Type authorization while doing Order Settlement.
If the result is Negative, then You can follow following Cutom way to achieve same.
Create a Cutom Tcode (Ex: ZPMKO88) and ask user to enter Order Numbers in Selection Screen. You can give Multiple Option over there.
Once user enters the Order Numbers, Read the Order Types for same from Table AUFK & Perform Authority Check using Authorization Object I_AUART.
If this check is successful, Call Transaction Code KO88 & Pass these Order Numbers with Default parameters in it for Settlement.
You will have to restrict the User Role for this Object for desired Order Types.
I am unable to test Option 1 in my system hence request you to check it the way I explained.
For Option 2, you will need help from your ABAP & Securities Consultant.
Do let me know if Answer was helpul Or if you have any additional query.
    Thanks.

  • Maintain internal order settlement rule using LSMW

    HI ALL
I want to do mass maintenance of internal order settlement rule. Settlement category is PSG.
But when I use LSMW to do KO02, I only can input one settlement receriver, the first line will be overwritten by the second line.
I also see BAPI INTERNAL_ORDER_CREATE,but cannot find PSG as a settlement category.
Does anyone know how to do this?

    Hi Lian
When you do recording, enter two settlement rules..
Then, before pressing the "DEFAULT ALL" button, change the Field names for the 2nd settlement rule
The problem you described happens because the field names for both settlement rules are same.. Hence, it gets overwritten
Assume that field name for Order is AUFNR... You can change the field name in recording to ZAUFNR for one of the fields
See the screen shot, wherein I changed the name of the recorded field to _01, _15 and _70

  • Internal Order Settlement Reversal Prior Year KO88

    Hi,
I am on ECC 6.   We have been asked if it is possible to reverse prior year settlements for internal orders in the current year and period.                                                                The current year  reversals are not the issue. These orders settlements in need of revision were made in the prior year and the periods are all closed and not to be opened as the financials are complete for that year.
Presently, there are two steps :  1) Reverse the current year periods and resettle using revised settlement rules.in the current year open period.                                                                                2) Prior year corrections made through a manual journal entry also posted in the current period.
Goal is to eliminate the manaul entry for prior year correction due to revised order settlement rules
Any thoughts on this issue would be appreciated.

The only reason to resettle the orders is that the "settlement rules" were revised in the current fiscal year .  In the current fiscal year , the settlements for each settled period (closed period) are reversed and then resettled in the current  open period using the revised settlement rules. However, the issue involves these same orders had costs in the previous fiscal year and were settled originally in that previous fiscal year with the old settlement rules. This is a closed fiscal year and all periods are closed.
Any thoughts on a system approach to effect the settlement rule change crossing two fiscal years rather than manual entries for prior fiscal year settlement rule impact as a  two step process the first step being the current fiscal year resettlements and the second step the manual entry for previous year impact ?

  • Order settlement

    Hi
We have an issue, our client is having Internal order and it is settled to CO-PA. But now they want to change the profit center in the IO master data, where as postings are already done with different profit center. One of the characteristics in CO-PA for the IO is also PC
If we change the Profit center from old to new one what will be the impact? Can we do the change and make all the posting to flow the CO-PA even for the previous order settlement and after the change.
    Thank you

One impact will be that a new PA Segment will be generated and if you report by profit center, there will be information under the two profit centers
How much has been done with the old profit center and how desparate are you that all data report under new PC?
We usually make our change a FYend and live with it.
You could write manual PA entries to move from one PC to the other.
There are program in SAP to "refresh" the PA tables, I am not aware of the specific names, because we have never actually used them  -- big project depending on amount of data.
OSS   Note 70718 - INFO:Correctn of data inconsistency for order recpt   talks about repairs of PA due to errors in Customizing or program errors.  It may give you some insight.
    Approach any change with caution.

  • Internal order settlements

    Hi
How do we exclude secondary costs posted in an internal order when running settlements ?
Our problem is ,we are having both primary costs and secondary costs(secondary cost elements) sitting on internal ordrs. When we are running settlements we want to exclude secondary cost and run settlements only for primary costs.
We have tried changing the source structure /allocation strcuture by excluding the secondary cost elements. But when we do that we get an error saying there are secondary costs existing in internal order and it is asking either to reverse the secondary costs from order or to include secondary cost elements on source/allocation structure.
We don't want to reverse the seconday costs from Internal orders. The how to exclude seconday costs in settlements?
    hinfi

    Hi,
In Internal Order we have two types
1 Statistical Order : Here we have to update Oder No as well as Cost Center, but here settlement is not possible.
2 Real Order : While Posting Document we have to Update Only Order No Dont mentioned any thing, if you mentioned any thing you will get error like this.

  • Changing PM Orders Settlement Profile

    Hi Experts,
In the system PM Order settlements are done against cost centers and against assets.
For this two settlement profiles are maintained and are assigned to Order Types.
For an Example lets Say :
Settlement Profile : AST01 - Asset Settlements - AUCs Created
    Order Types Attached : PM01 , PM02 , PM03
Settlement Profile CRT01 - Cost Center Settlements
    Order Types Attached : PM04 , PM05 , PM06
Now we want to change the Settlement profile  of certain Order Types:
    Say
PM05 must settle under Assets - AUCs to be created
PM02 must settle under Cost Centers
This can be simply achieved by changing the Order Settlement Profile of the mentioned Order type.
I want to know what are the impacts of the above change?
    Thanks in advance,
    Thushantha

If you have made a settlement (e.g. KO88) then you will not be able to delete the original settlement rule (it should be greyed-out).
You will therefore need to put an end perio/year on this settlement rule and set it in as the last year/period. You can now create your new settlement rule.
The next settlement run (KO88) will then ignore the original settlement rule, and use the new one instead.

  • KO88/CO88 Production Order Settlement Requires CO Object

    Dear SAP Experts,
My client has two different plants (2000 and 2100). This is the first month end for 2100.
We are trying to settle Production Orders for both the plants. There is no issue relating to 2000 but for 2100, we are having an error "Account 52601 requires an assignment to a CO object - Message no. KI235".
Please guide on how to solve this error.
    Best Regards...

    Dear SAP Experts,
Thanks for the comments you all made on my posts.
The error is now solved. I'll brief so that in future, if error like again appears for someone else, they may even check the following:
The issue was that on running KO88/ CO88, there was an error stating GL Account requires Cost Object msg KI235.
On analysing the error, it was found that GL accounts appear from OBYC GBB-AUF which is the account for order settlement and again in OBYC PRD the account for price difference.
It was identified that the same accounts were assigned to both the keys. Price Difference accounts does not have cost element whereas the other account coming from GBB-AUF has Cost Element and the cost object being the Order itself.
The issue was resolved by changing the account assignment on PRD. The new account assigned was Price difference.
    Thanks and Regards...

  • Production Order settlement issue

    Hi ,
We are planning to do re-work . We want to capture the labor activties for the order. Is it possible to settle the labor activties only for the order settlement ?
    Thanks
    Nic

    Hi Nick,
From a business stand point you have two options to follow:
    1. settle the costs to the original Production order
    2. Settle the costs to seperate cost center
for both cases, you need to have seperate Production Order type. Because the settlement paratment are different from regular production order type.
So please use seperate Production order type with settlement profile being settlement to Cost Center.
Hope this will solve your issue
    Best Regards

  • Order Settlement  (Ko88) Vs. Sales Order Settlement (VA88)

We would like to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of Production Order Settlement versus Sales Order Settlement.
What are the benefits between one and the other?
    Please advice,
    Thanks in advance,
    Rio

    Hello,
    Thank you for replying.
We are an MTO Semiconductor manufacturing shop, High volume. somewhat repetitive but not frequent.
    We have two clients:
Client 1 - Uses Standard Costing and Settles Production Orders to the Material itself.
Client 2 - Uses Actual Costing and Settles Production Orders to Sales Orders (automatic) then Settles Sales Orders to Profitability Analysi.
I'm hearing SAP does not recommend the process from Client 2 "Sales Order Settlement"  because of the high volume of sales documents. still can't confirm this.
I would like to find out the following:
What are the Pros and Cons of Production order Settlement vs. Sales Order Settlement.
What are the reasons why one type of settlement is chosen over the other?
Also, I found some data from SAP Labs which relates to an Old Version of SAP, so I would like to know if this process is still current with Version 6.0
"...Settlement of the production order to the sales order is normally not required.  The sales order item automatically picks up the cost incurred on the production order.
The production order must only be settled when:
    - The production order is in a different company code than the sales order.
    - The production order is a collective order
The sales order product  cost processing will only pick up the cost on the top-level of a collective order, so the costs of the lower-level production orders      must be settled to the highest level of the collective order..."
    Please advice,
    Rio

  • Production Order settlement to Sale Order

    Hi Gurus,
I have crated a sale order through VA01, I crated sale order specific BOM through CS61 and after that I executed Cost Estimate for the sale order.
    Sale Order No: 260
    Finished Product : 610
    Semi Finished: 611
    Semi Finished: 612
I executed MRP for sale order 260, System has created planned production for Material 610,611 and 612.
When I am trying to convert the planned production order to production order, system is automatically picking up settlement rule as Material instead of sale order for all the production orders. System is not allowing to change the settlement rule manually.
Our requirement is, Production Order of SFGs(611 and 612) should be settle to Production order of Finished Product(610). and the total cost of the production order of Finished Product(610) should be settle to Sale Order (260).
How can I get the above settlement rule into my production orders as default.
Please help me in this regards and guide me if i am going in wrong way.
    Thanks in Advance
    Ganesh
    Note:
    1. Our scenario is Make-To-Order.
    2. I am using same Order Type for all the production orders.

    Hi Venkat
When u manf SFG - SFG declared to stock and all calculations for WIP or Variances are done for SFG material depending on the order status
When u settle if the material is SFG in the production order - FI postings are done to relevant accounts for SFG matl
Now when the SFG matl is used in production of FG, SFG is consumed and Production order created for FG will have either WIP or variances and settlement is executed.
    For settling to sales order
Create settlement profile with sales order selected as valid receiver, and assign the profile to the Production order type.  Here u need two production order types
    1)  One normal production order - here normal settlement profile is attached
    2)  One order type for sales order production.  Here u attach sales order settlement profile.  Create allocation structure for this purpose
You can only one order type and settlement profile for both SFG and FG
Postings to relevant accoutns for SFG and FG is taken care thru valuation class and account determination
Hope the above clarifies - pls assign points if the above is useful

  • Production order settlement variance button

    Hi,
I check the settlement of production order and would like to clarify.
In the settlement rule, the account assignment category is MAT, when double click the rule or click settlement variance button, it shows category PSG.
why there are 2 settlement? for settlement to asset, there is only 1 and no settlement variance button.
so why production order settlement has 2 settlement?
    Thanks

    Hi,
On settlement of Production order, two documents gets created one is Accounting document for posting the variances to Accounts and the Profitability analysis documents.
This is because, when COPA is activated, the Sold quantity in copa is valuated using the Standard cost estimate.
For eg: if the SCE of X material is 100 Rs. and Billed quantity is 10 Qty, this billed quantity is valuated using the 100 rs and 1000 Rs is transferred to COPA as COGM.
But when production is carried out, the actual cost can be different from that of SCE. I,e it can be 120 Rs.
Hence there is a difference of 20 Rs with which inventory is being valuated less in both Accounts and also in COPA. Hence the same is settled to the respective module on the settlement of Production order so that you have FI and COPA gets reconciled to that extent.
But Asset settlement we are valuating it with full amount of acquisition. and there is no standard set for the same. Hence the result.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi Kumar
