  • Satellite Pro A200 - New ODD ignors the Recovery disk

    Hi,
_Satellite Pro A200 PSAE4E Windows XP_
I started getting bad “Not-Ready” system errors on the original ODD. Toshiba Disc Creator report: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H TO01. I tried the FW update, but that did not help.
I replaced the ODD with a new one from Amazon. Toshiba Disc Creator report: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H SC04. The new ODD is listed as suitable in the User Manual - it’s the same model as the original. The new ODD works perfectly for normal use within XP. But when I attempt to use the Recovery Disk, it is ignored and XP always boots from the HDD. And when I press F12 during boot, the new ODD is not listed.
Can you assist me to get the ODD recognised at boot time please?
    Thanks.
    Mike

    Thank you for your replies.
To be exact, I see the following at boot time:
F12 shows only HD and LAN boot options.
F2 shows the usual 4 options, HD, ODD, Floppy and LAN.
But since I have no floppy either, I suspect the F12 list is the correct one - and it fails to show an ODD option.
    @C3PO
Yes, Ive tried all those ideas, and I have the latest A200 BIOS.
    @Akuma
So it is insufficient to have the correct model number? It should be explained somewhere that even if you have the correct ODD model, it may still not work.
Please can you give me a link to Toshiba, so that I can obtain a suitable ODD. I'm in England.
    Thanks for your swift assistance.

  • Send mail to the user who logged the issue

    Hi,
As it is currently the mail goes to the key user, which is a business partner. That is an organization. However several users are maintained under a business partner.
So now the mail goes to all these users at a status change. However can we only have the user who logged the issue getting the mail. Can you please advice me on how to get this?
    Thanks loads.
    Keshi

Hi.. Thanks for all ur replies..
Yes we hv assigned the key user as a business partner which is an organization,, This is also and requirement,
But since the mail is activated as to the key user it goes to all the users in that group, under teh business partner.
But when configuring this came across the Partner, in which we selected it as key user. But there were also other partners as Creator,Reported by etc..
I tried using both these but again it didnt work. Can anyone suggest anything?
Yes, when u assign the key user as a business partner and assign several users  to it you can send multiple mails to users
Any help on this is very much appreciated,.,
Thanks all for replying once again.

  • Smartform - Printing Graphic store in Printer Harddisk via PCL

    Dear Folks,
I have a logo stored as a Macro (prn file) in my HP Laser Jet 4350 printer's hard disk.
When printing any smart forms from that printer, the logo is suppose to be printed together from the printer harddisk. I am not to import the graphic into the smart form itself.
I read that there may be a need to write PCL commands in the Smartform to trigger the printing. Is this correct?
If so, can anybody direct me to useful references to learn how to do this?
    Thank you.
    Best Regards,
    Junwen

    Hi,
This is how it is handled
<b>Hexadecimal Data: </b>HEX, ENDHEX Use this command to send printer commands in a printer language directly to a printer that supports that language. <b>SAPscript does not interpret the data enclosed by the HEX and ENDHEX command pair</b>, but <b>inserts it unchanged into the output stream. </b>
This technique allows objects with a pixel-oriented format (for example, graphics) to be printed as part of a SAPscript text. The HEX and ENDHEX command pair enclose the printer commands and data as hexadecimal text, so that the printer formatting routines interpret each successive pair of characters as a single hexadecimal value in the range of 0 to 255. The characters 0 to 9 and A to F for representing the values 10 to 15 are valid hexadecimal characters. The text may also include comment lines (these begin with /* in the format column), which will not be interpreted as hexadecimal data but are simply passed over by the formatting routines.
<b>Syntax: /: HEX [TYPE printer_language] </b>The HEX command denotes the start of the hexadecimal data. Subsequent text lines are interpreted as described above. If the TYPE parameter is present, the data will be sent to the printer only if the printer understands the specified printer language.
The following printer languages are <b>currently supported: POST (Postscript), PRES (Kyocera Prescribe) and PCL (HP Printer Control Language)</b>. /: HEX [TYPE printer_language] [XPOS x_position] [YPOS y_position]
Here is the answer for your second question,
<b>The output cursor is set to the absolute position indicated by the specified X and Y position parameters before the hexadecimal data is printed.</b> If either the X or the Y position is not specified, then 0 will be assumed for this parameter. /: HEX [TYPE printer_language] [HEIGHT height] [LEFT left_indentation] The HEIGHT parameter determines the amount of space to be reserved on the page for the output of the hexadecimal data. Any text following the ENDHEX command will be printed below this point. If the LEFT parameter is also specified, then the output of the hexadecimal data will is indented from the left margin by the specified amount.
/: HEX TYPE PCL HEIGHT '7.5' CM LEFT '2.25' CM /* Creator: report ZQVNTE30 date 19940705 time 125129 user SAPSCRIPT /= 1B2A7230461B2A743735521B2A7231411B2A62304D1B2A62343057FFFFFFFFFFFF /= FF1B2A62343057FFFFFFFFFFFFC0007D00DFC0F7D0000000000000000000000017 /: ENDHEX This data is printed only by an HP PCL printer (fro example, HP LaserJet). 7.5 cm of space is allocated on the page for the output of the data and the output cursor is indented 2.25 cm to the right of the form window edge.
You said its useful, now this will solve your problem
    Feel free to revert back.

  • Rendering Problem when printing to PDF using PDFCreator.

When I print my report to PDF using PDF Creator it overlays the text over itself vs when i export to pdf and then print it prints it fine, can anyone enlighten me as to why it does this?

    Hi Raudel,
According to your description, you can export the report to PDF and print it well. However, when you print the report directly to PDF with PDF Creator, fields are overlapping.
Since you mentioned the report can display correctly after you export the report to PDF then print it, we can make sure the PDF rendering can work fine with reporting services. So it should not be the issue in Reporting Services. As we tested in our environment,
when print the report directly to PDF with PDF Creator, report also display well. In your scenario, it supposed to be issue with PDF Creator. I suggest you contact the PDF Creator vendor to get some more effective advices.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • PO Report by PO creator's name

    Hello!
Is there any way (other than the Document Overview Method and the EKKO Database Table Method) wherein a PO report can be generated along with the PO creators name.
    Thanks in advance.
    Riju.

    Hi!
    Thanks.
Yes. That's true. But what if I don't know the SU01 names of any of the PO creator's beforehand.
For example, if i wish to take out the list of all the POs in a company code with the PO creator's name, but I don't know the names beforehand.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Using Report Creator and SQL Server 2000

I am attempting to make some prompts and such using the report designer, and after connecting to my SQL Server 2000 DBMS using the SQL native Client as nothing else works, when i try to make a prompt based of a DB field, it does not populate... also when I verify the database it says that it cannot find the tables, but if I put one of the fields on the report, the data is displayed, I can also browse the data while creating the report as well...
Any ideas how to fix this?

Add the tables and then remove those that are not required. Knowledge of the database is required.

  • Bug report for Query Parser in VIEW Creator

    Hi,
when you try to create a view with KEEP(DENSE_RANK... like in this example:
    SELECT   MIN(chr) KEEP(DENSE_RANK LAST
    ORDER BY lvl) AS min_chr
         FROM
        ( SELECT TRUNC((level + 1) / 2) AS lvl, chr(level + 64) AS chr FROM dual CONNECT BY level <= 26
) xthe parser shows a parsing error ("Failed to parse SQL query. Invalid SELECT Statement. Unexpected token "(" at line 1, pos 24").
    I'm on 3.1.4.710 under Win7 and latest Java6.
    Best regards,
    Blama

    Hello,
I can confirm that my query (1st post in this thread) is working under DM 3.3.0.747.
I can confirm that this query is working as well in Query Builder->Paste SELECT->Update diagram:
    WITH x AS
      (SELECT TRUNC((Level + 1) / 2) AS lvl,
        CHR(Level          + 64)     AS lvl_char
      FROM DUAL
        CONNECT BY Level <= 26
    SELECT RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY x.lvl ORDER BY x.lvl_char DESC) dr FROM x;
But this one is not working for me:
    WITH x
         AS (    SELECT TRUNC ( (LEVEL + 1) / 2) AS lvl, CHR (LEVEL + 64) AS lvl_char
                   FROM DUAL
             CONNECT BY LEVEL <= 26)
SELECT DENSE_RANK () OVER (PARTITION BY lvl ORDER BY lvl_char DESC) dr
      FROM x;
Interestingly "DENSERANK()" without the underscore (or any other gibberish) is working as well (but leading to an syntax error when executing the DDL).
    Best regards,
    Blama

  • Dflt report in 6i and 10g

    Hi
I am trying to get a tillslip to print correctly after converting from reports 6i to 10g. The problem i think is that the outputfile generated in the 6i version is diffrent from the output file in 10g. The 10g version looks similar to postscript while the 6i output file does not mean anything to me.
If i open the 6i test.dflt file it looks something like: =c0c1c32R
If i open the 10g test.dflt file it looks something like:
    %!PS-Adobe-3.0 %
%Creator: Oracle Toolkit 2 for Motif 10.1.2.0.2 PRODUCTION
Using the 6i output file i can print the tillslip correctly in both the 6i and 10g environments. Using the 10g output file all the char in the output file prints including the comments (the %!PS-Adobe-3.0 % bit also)
Any ideas how to get the output file the same. All report settings (DESFOTMAT, DESTYPE, ...) are the same. The dflt.prt file only differs as follows:
    printer "dflt"
    height 66
    width 80
    after page control(L)
return        ""  (this line in 6i file is: return        "M" )
    linefeed control(J)
Any ideas will be helpfull. I have tried creating the report as a .rtf, .pdf and .ps file and all of them print with the code inside and not just the tillslip info.
    Thanks

    Hi
I afound that the problem is that the app server does not know about the printer as it is connected to a users PC. Thus when using the dflt desformat it selects the default printer language of the App Server printer. This is the reason why the files are diffrent.
If I understand everything the process should be:
1 - Run the report from forms (on app server).
2 - Write the report to a file on App Server and then transfer the file to the user PC.
3 - Send file correct printer on the user PC.
The problem still remains on how to create the correct file which can be send to the printer connected to the users PC as the driver of the correct printer is not known too the App Server. The printer still prints the file incorrectly as the file is not created using its drive as what the case was when running it in 6i.
Setting the MODE to character (which will enable you to provide a .prt file if you had one to give) will not work as the report contains an image.
    Regards

  • Open PO's report

    Hello,
I wonder if you can help me, my company is using SAP ECC6 for the Not for Profit version, we are trying to run a report for Year End to list all Open POu2019s, to be sorted by Account Assignment, Purchasing Document, Budget holders/Buyers
    Purchase Orders are GR-Based
I have used the transaction code ME2N so and it displays PO with Account Assignment WBS Element, but I will like to include the report Requisition Number, Requisitioners or those who requested it and Creators. When I run the ME5A report, I get these fields but it does not give same break and analysis as the the ME2N report.
I have tried using the dynamic selection to bring in these extra columns but when I execute the report it does not display these columns even if I use the ALV functionality.
I will like to some advice on how to bring in these extra columns and explanation why these columns are in Dynamic selection but does not appear in report.
    Thanks for your co-operation
    Kind regards
    Patricia

From programming point of view i don't think it is possible to display dynamic fields they can only be used in where condition in select statement. To meet your requirement I think you need to create a query.
If you need help in what tables to join you can look at the last reply Re: RBKP query

  • How to generate oracle report in PCL format

    Hi,
We are having an issue in our application where the output report(PDF) is getting generated in the Postscript format.
The first few lines of the output pdf are like this:
    %!PS-Adobe-3.0
%%Creator: Oracle Toolkit 2 for Motif 10.1.2.0.2 PRODUCTION
    %%Version: 10.1 2
    %%CreationDate: (Tue Feb 12 09:37:10 2013)
However, the printer which we are using to print these PDF files accepts only PCL format and the print request is failing.
Is there a way we can change the generated report format into PCL format.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this issue is very critical to our application.
    Thanks in advance.

We are trying to do this directly passing the below parameters
    desformat=PDF&destype=PRINTER&desname=<PrinterName>
But the issue is the cached file which is getting generated is in PS format(Its on unix server) and printer is not accepting it.
Even if we keep the output as file and then print the file using lpr command, result is same since the PDF file is in PS format.

  • PDF From MS Word 2010 Reported Bug Still Exists

I need to create a PDF file today that contains images in a MS Word 2010 document.  There is a bug in Acrobat XI Professional  that I reported months ago.  This bug is still here, and now I need help.  Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this issue?
Here is what happens, and I just reproduced this problem I found awhile back.  As I stated, I did report it, but this issue is still here!
I am creating a user guide for software.  I insert BMP images that are screen shots.  On any page where a BMP image exists within Word, the resulting PDF document does not allow selecting of text in Acrobat Reader XI.  The selection goes totally insane and highlights random text through the entire page.  This is a software defect for certain.
My question is can I easily fix this with minimal time?  I had to fix this last time by removing all images from MS Word and instead pasting the image in Acrobat XI.  When I do this, selecting text works.  The problem with this bug work-around is that this take lots of time (that I do not have).
    Help please???

I found something even better.  There is a non Adobe PDF creator on my office computer that correctly creates a PDF.   The issue is within PDF creation, because I am using Acrobat Reader XI and selecting text with no problem at all.
I did not have to change a thing other than not use Adobe Acrobat Professional to create the PDF.  The software that works correctly where Adobe's own fails is called PDF Xchange Driver by Tracker Software Products LTD.
...and as I already stated, I reported this issue many months ago...
