Po in awaiting approval status in SRM 4.5

Hello Friends,
I am working on SRM 4.5,
I am facing a problem in completing the workflow of a PO. My SC is approved the PO which is created is with the status
Stats:
HEADER     E0002
HEADER     I1015          Awaiting Approval
HEADER     I1021          Created
HEADER     I1038          Complete
HEADER     I1043          Ordered
and workflow status:
Workflow Item:
Workitem-ID        000041330725
Task               WS14000145

Now what should i do to complete the workflow. Is there any transaction or function module or any table with which i can complete the workflow??

Hi Sarnava,
Is your PO waiting for approval or is it struck in awaiting approval status.
Check SM58 transaction to see if there is any failures on the day of PO creation.
If there is no failure and you want to complete the PO manually go to transaction SWIA and enter the header work item id and then click on complete manually. This will complete the workflow.

SRM 5.0 Confirmation in Awaiting Approval Status

We have the confirmations in "Awaiting Approval" status.
I had checked the following steps but still the status remains as-is.
1. Transaction SWUD
2. Enter workflow WS10400010, press enter
3. Execute 'Test environment'
4. Check 'Including subworkflows'
5. Execute 'Consistency check for components'
There are no errors for BUS2203 (Confirmation business object).
I have cross checked the BUS2203 for WS10400010 Active Status is both T-Codes SWETYPV and SWE2.
We had a previous issue of BUS2203 with some errors and that went away after following steps in OSS Note and SDN comments. Note 962488 - "Workflow definition '&' not in version '&' (WD 401) and SDN.
WS10400010 is No Approval Workflow for confirmations that is active and classified as General Task.
Can you please advise on this status issue?

Please analyse the Workflow log from SWI2_FREQ. I think you can check this issue in SRM forum. I think this is discussed.

How do we identify SC that are stuck in awaiting approval status?

Extended Classic Scenario   7.01
We have Shopping Carts set up for auto approval.    From time to time some Shopping Carts get stuck in awaiting approval status and we need to manually force them to go.   We have not been able to identify a root cause for this so we would like to create an abap that would identify those SCs that are stuck then submit   BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER   to transfer those SCs.
The problem we are having is finding the correct combination of status's that will capture those SCs that are truly awaiting approval.
We first find all those SC with status = I1015 (awaiting approval)
Then we exclude those with status i1040 (deleted) and i1129 (followon document created)
It seems in our testing that sometimes the status i1129 has an "X" in the inactive column.   Should those then be reprocessed and therefore not excluded?

Hi Sandra,
For your code logic, I1129 with inactive X should be included to get the list of SC which are in awaiting approval or may be approved but without follow on doc.
But could you check if you get any message in RZ20 after the follow on doc is created and it becomes inactive ?

Bidding Engine - Bids waiting in "Awaiting approval" status

Hello SRM Gurus,
We have SRM 5.0 bidding engine implemented. We have been using bid invitation for about 6 months now. For the last couple weeks we are having an issue where the bid invitations is stuck in "Awaiting Approval" status. We are not using any approval process.
I would appreicate it if any one could help me with resolving this issues.

No, the problem is that we are not able to even able to publish the Bid Invitation. Our buyers are creating the Bid invitation and put it in hold for adding additional information at a later time. When they come back to publish it - it says bid invitation is already in approval process and does not allow them to publish it.

You cannot change these POs because their changed version has status
'Deleted'. My proposal to fix them will be the following:
You will have to set changed version as closed(DOC_CLOSED set to X)
and in active version set DOC_CLOSED to space.
__-For the above statement, Can you guys please let me know, which table DOC_CLOSED belongs to and what are the steps to do this, as i come from a functional back ground.__

Shopping Cart in "Awaiting Approval" Status

There is a SC which requires an approval from one approver. The SC has gone to Approvers inbox for approval. The approver has approved the SC. After this the SC is not getting approved and its hanging in Awaiting Approval Status.
We are using N-Step BADI
When I was checking on this I was seeing entries in SM58 as below.

Hi,
Thats strange because the error 'Name or password is incorrect' usually occurs when RFC destination is not appropriate.
Some quick checks
1. Automatic workflow customisation (SWU3) done? All green?
2. Remote logon working?

Purchase order in 'awaiting approval' status but no approval required

I am using SRM 4.0 SP 13. There is a purchase order which shows that no approval is required in the approval tab, but the overall status is 'awaiting approval'. Please can you advise if this is a Support pack issue? I have checked the workflow WS14000075 which is active.

You would need to check if the workflow has been able to release the PO properly. Only after successful release completion by workflow, PO status gets changed to ordered from awaiting approval. Check the workflow log to see if there are any errors. Use txn-SWI1 or SWI6 to go into workflow log. Also reactive your workflow WS14000075 using txn swdd and try creating new PO.

Confirnmation in Awaiting Approval Status

dear SRM gurus
We are implementing SRM 4.0 and follow the classic scenarios.
We create PO in R/3 and do a Confirmation for PO in SRM.
Now when the Employee does the confirmation in the Check status of the SC it Shows Confirmation Awaiting Approval
Even though no approval is required and we have activated only the WFL
WS 10400010 Goods Receipt Workflow Without Approval
and no other work flow is activated.
More in confirmation option tab Display confirmation all the Confirmation are displayed in the Employees Id as Awating Approval.

Please check the following transaction if you face this type of error.
1. SM58 tRFC - network error during WF run time
2. RZ20 - some error in backend
3. BBP_PD - check the ducument status
If you could not find the related error, please try this.
>1. SE38 Run BBP_ALERT_SB_NOTTRANSFERED
>2. RZ20 check the entry
>3. Goto Web Application Monitor, re-submit

Awaiting approval status

Hi All,
Can we find the list of SC's which are in awaiting approval for a particular company code and product category. I know we can find it based on the purchasing org and purchasing group(based on a company code) from monitor shopping cart transaction but it is not retrieving the correct results.
Is there any table or report or FM to find this.
I have looked into reports BBP_BW_SC(1,2,etc) but these are not helpful.

go to T.code: BBP_BW_SC2 here you can check the status of the shopping cart.
There is no other report available in Std SRM.
Take the program BBP_BW_SC2 and modify.
This is the best solution .We have done modifications in this report

Awaiting approval status when SC approved

Hi Guys,
We are working on SRM 4.0 in classic scenario. We have a weird situation where the shopping cart has been completely approved but the status is still in "awaiting approval". We are using teh item based approval badi.
Does anybody have an insight to why this is happening. We never had this issue in the QA box in the past. The problem suddenly shows up.

Not to be suspicious, but did your BC team recently upgraded your SRM Server with new service pack? If you are on SAPKIBKS09 your problem is implementation of note 842969 which is included in that service pack.
I had similar problem where shopping carts were stuck in awaiting approval when they were partially rejected.
We solve problem with implementing Note 930750 RESTART: No restart anymore with classic workflows.

we have set up a new system for testing.(SRM 5)when the user creates a SC it goes for approval.So based on the workitem i went to SWIA and completed the approval manually.
still the shopping cart status is Awaiting approval.

Hi Evans,
Yes you are right in the baove issue this is related to Basis issue.
We have a problem with the WF-BATCH user where the user id was invalid and also The Issue was related to the Target system defined in the LUW
You can find detailed error messages for the specified ID in transaction SECSTORE.
Once they have fixed it our issue was solved.

SC with awaiting approval status and no work item for Approvers.

Hi Experts,
We are implementing Classic scenario with SRM7.0 and we are having Application controled Workflow.
We are fasing issue in workflow. On SC getting ordered the status is showing as awaiting approval and there is no work item found in BBP_PD.
When we approve this SC in SWO1 then there is no PO getting created.
If the SC value is less than spend limit we have enabled no Workflow and in that case the approval agent table is showing as System Approver and after SC getting ordered the SC is still with the status Awaiting approval.
Can any once have an idea how to go about with this issue.

Did you check the event linkage in SWE2? what do you see in SLG1? Did activate the task groups 40000003 and 40000007? also check in SM58 and SM21..

Adding approvers for a SC in awaiting approval status

Hi Experts,
I have created a shopping cart that has to be approved by some approver in the organization. until now everything is working fine. when i am adding a new approver by editing the shopping cart, it is displaying that the cart is successfully edited but not showing the approver which i have added earlier. i am using the method of a standard class /sapsrm/if_pdo_do_apv_ext~add_approver and i have used commit work.
kindly suggest me how to solve this issue.

Hello,
The Adhoc approver's added initially in the SC will be lost once the SC is re-called from approval for modification as per the standard system behavior.
We have to manually add the approvers again as per requirement.

Shopping Cart status stays as "Awaiting Approval"

Hi Gurus,
We are using the No Approval workflow for Shopping cart creation.
But on creation, the shopping cart stays in "Awaiting Approval" status.
We are trying this out in IDES SRM 5.0 system.

SRM 7 : Awaiting Approval - Creator cannot edit

Hi All
We are on SRM 700 SP08 and have installed below 2 notes
Note 1444219 - Buy on Behalf-Inconsistency of EDIT button in POWL/SC header
Note 1560051 - Follow on Note to 1444219
But when a User tries to display a SC that he created on behalf of another User and Status is Awaiting Approval.
Edit button is not displayed. (Edit Button is displayed for the On Behalf Of User)
1560051 talks about the exact sceanario but it did not fix the issue.

The notes fixed 2 of the 3 scenarios which are
1. SC in SAVED Status ....shows Edit button in Header
2. SC in Approved Status ....shows Edit Button in Header. (do not understand why it would be used)
But for SC in Awaiting Approval Status...does not show Edit Button for Creator who SOBO another user.
