Podcast Image Problem!!!

I am trying to start a new podcast using Blogger and Feedburner.
http://retrorejects.blogspot.com/
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RetroRejects
I uploaded the image in Feedburner and it appears in the iTunes Store Page:
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/retro-rejects/id634159199?mt=2&ign-mpt=uo%3D 4
The problem occurs when I subscribe to the podcast, the image does not appear, only the generic gray thumbnail.
I have done some research and thought if I added an iTunes tag in Blogger that this might fix the problem, so I added this:
<itunes:image href="http://24.media.tumblr.com/f2f6003cfec7afb4dd669f6dd6f37fcf/tumblr_mkyteoP2sx1sn h4wyo1_400.jpg" />
Here is the entire code from Feedburner:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" media="screen" href="/~d/styles/rss2enclosuresfull.xsl"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" media="screen" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~d/styles/itemcontent.css"?>

Everything else seems to be working except for this one thing.  Please help!

You drew my attention to this in another thread, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it - I don't read this forum as I don't have Windows. If you have further questions please post in the Producing Podcasts forum. Also please don't post the text of a feed - the URL (which you have posted) is sufficient.
However in this case the feed isn't the issue. The image which appears in the Store is referenced in the feed, but the images which appear when subscribing and you select an episode have to be actually embedded in the episode media files. This page gives a full explanation:

Can anyone see any reason why the iTunes store is still not showing my artwork even though its been 6 days? We are getting some press on CNN next week, and I would kind of like the artwork ready. I have ping'd, changed the location of the image, validated the feed - still nothing.
    Thanks,
    Jon

The iTunes Store page for your podcast shows the image correctly: it hasn't yet updated to the latest version of the feed (it's showing two episodes and in a different order - though one of the episodes is hi-def and I'm not sure whether it can display that or not) but I see it was only updated about 8 hours ago so it will probably appear within another day.

  • Podcast Image Won't Update/Change

Recently I have been attempting to change podcast's logo. Despite the fact that I have pointed to it correctly and giving it a different file name, the old logo remains. I even overwrote the old logo for good measure, just in case.
I have also pinged the iTMS. Everything else works fine... but no logo update.
    Here are the links:
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/avg
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=116891255
    Anyone have an idea?

I just want to give an update for anyone else who might be having podcast image problems.
I finally found that my image has been updated, after almost 3 weeks of changing it. I am not sure if this is what helped the problem... but I DID "report a problem" with my own podcast, stating that the logo was not updating. this may have gotten the iTunes editorial attention.

  • IWeb 08 Podcast/RSS problems

Yup, iWeb has shot my podcast...
I will post discoveries here as I learn them. Will be grateful for any help, of course!!!
Still coming to grips with new file names/locations. First thing is iWeb seems to be dealing with spaces differently now. Previously it did the old %20 thing in my podcast - Popology Podcast read Popology%20Podcast. Now, it's replaced that with an underscore - Popology_Podcast. However, it doesn't seem to have occured to the code monkeys to tell whatever generates the rss.xml file that! A manual edit of the rss.xml file doesn't help either.
I'm using feedburner, so I've changed it there, and it's starting to kick into gear, though it isn't seeing the podcast images...
More to come as I discover it.
Again - please - any advice most appreciated - and if I've gotten anything wrong so far, please put me straight! I'm just a Joe-Bloggs, not a super-web-guy...

My podcast's address, as seen in iTunes music store is:
    http://rss.mac.com/popology/iWeb/Popology/Popology%20Podcast/rss.xml
But according to iWeb's new way of dealing with spaces, this should now have an underscore instead of a %20.
    http://rss.mac.com/popology/iWeb/Popology/Popology_Podcast/rss.xml
I've tried avoiding the problem by entering my feedburner address into the rss.xml file...
    <itunes:new-feed-url>http://feeds.feedburner.com/popology</itunes:new-feed-url>
But that didn't work. I've pinged my podcast, and when I search for it in the music store, delete and resubscribe, it still doesn't pick up that it should go to the feedburner feed.
QUESTION: Am I editing the wrong file - rss.xml - in my podcast directory? This seems to be a new location - till I upgraded, the RSS files were in a seperate folder (up a few levels on my idisk) altogether, but there's nothing there now...?
I'm considering trying to remove the space in the original iWeb design on my comp and reuploading... 128k upstream... hmm - that will take a while...

  • Itunes podcast image not working

I am using feedburner to generate a podcast feed for a website my agency worked on. It works fine, we can post things and they show up as podcasts if there is an audio file attached, and the feed shows up fine on feedburner. We used smartfeed on feedburner to generate the extra tags needed for an itunes podcast, including the podcast image, but it's not working. We made sure to input a 1400x1400 image as the feed image, and every time we have changed the image we have made sure to make the filename different so itunes recognizes that there is a differnet image. It has been almost a week since we put in that image and it still is not showing up.
I don't know if it just takes longer, or if there is something wrong, but we have been trying to get an image working for a few weeks now.
The link to the podcast is here
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/uncommon-austin-podcast-2013/id468093685?mt= 2
I can link to the feedburner feed as well if needed. But we would just like to know of a solution to our problem.
    Thanks
    Josh

The image which appears on the Store page is referenced in the feed: but the image which appears when you subscribe (either manually or from the Store page) is not - it is embedded in each episode's media file. This page explains the situation and what to do about it:

  • Why is my podcast image missing?

My podcast was approved April 4, 2013.  However, my podcast image doesn't display in the Preview or the iTunes store.  I added my 1400 x 1400 image using the PowerPress plugin.
    Here's the preview:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-tithing-hoax-podcast/id632359048
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

'OC Coug on a Mac ' - your feed references the podcast image correctly. It's become apparent from the number of similar posts that there is an ongoing problem with the Podcast Images. They were always slow to appear, but in some cases it's been weeks with no results.
There isn't really anything you can do yourself - your feed is fine (and 600x600 is the recommended size, though smaller would do - it's not the cause of the problem). I would recommend you and anyone else with this issue to contact iTunes Support. You won't get an immediate resolution, but if a lot of people complain it may kick-start them into doing something about it.
Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options.

  • Podcast image missing

After years of displaying correctly, my podcast image is now missing and seems to have been replaced by the default iTunes image in the iTunes store.  Here is the feed:  http://moneypit.com/show/moneypit_podcast.xml.  Would appreciate any suggestions on why this happened and how to resolve it.  I have confirmed that the image still exists on the server.  Thanks in advance to anyone can assist!

I have a similar problem. I uploiad a 600 by 600 jpp image and all works fine for a few days. Then, its just vanishes, ***!! Here is part of my xml referance...

  • Podcast Image is Not Updating for over Two Weeks

Hi. I use Wordpress - > Feedburner - > iTunes Store and my designated podcast image has not been updated in the Store for over two weeks. However I will note that on the Apple Podcast App, and in the iTunes Podcasting Section in my iTunes Library, the image updated almost immediately. It's only in the store that it's a problem, plus, that is the URL we use to share on Social Media. So it's code red!
I have been following all the threads, and understand that sometimes the store gets "stuck," but we are reaching hair-pulling-out-of-our-skulls mode, considering our large audience-base and the regularity with which we share the podcast on Social Media.
The outdated image, which iTunes Store is still displaying, does not exist anywhere on or offline at all. It is behaving as a ghost, not the scary kind the really f*cking annoying kind. I have no idea how in the world the store is still accessing it. It is 2014, and I simply cannot believe that Apple Technology would be this sluggish, and so I'm beginning to suspect I've messed something up somewhere, and really I'm at a loss and I can't keep telling my superiors that it's someone else's fault and HELP HELP HELP
    anyway (clears throat)
Here is the wordpress RSS:  http://stephenmansfield.tv/category/podcast/feed/
Here is the Feedburner RSS: http://feeds.feedburner.com/MansfieldPodcast
Here is the correct media URL I entered in "SmartCast -> Podcast Image Location" on Feedburner over two weeks ago:
    http://stephenmansfield.tv/wp-content/uploads/smp-icon-2013-1400x1400.jpg
Here is our iTunes Podcast URL which is magically (read stupidly) displaying a non-existent jpg file as our image:

After over 8 weeks, I got my image updated. I don't know exactly what did it. First I followed Roger's advice and changing the file name to a name that had never been used before. The fact that I reset back to an earlier image, thus a file name that had already been used, maybe confused it a little bit. So I changed the file name and re-uploaded. I also compressed the file size down a notch to make it smaller.
Finally, I bugged Apple tech support on the phone to no end (sorry sir, we don't know how to fix this, sorry sir, we don't really understand podcasting) until they gave me this email adress, and there, they told me they reset the feed:
    Podcasts at apple .com
It is 2014, and updating a dedicated Podcast image should not be this hard. They need to totally revamp their system. I think the more we complain about this on the forums, the quicker this will happen.
This is the only podcast directory that has this outdated problem. Unfortunately, it's also the most important podcast directory.

  • Image problem in V4.0

    Hi,
Previously I had lots of problems with showing a BLOB image from a table
in a report using the apex_util.get_blob_file_src function.
Varad put me right on several ocassions: see the thread at
    Confusion with get_blob_file_src
Eventually everything went well, and I got my images of a specific size on the screen.
In the last month or two, the host database that I rent went up from version ten to version
eleven, and the apex version changed too from 3.2.1 to some version of 4.
I've only now discovered that the images don't display any more. I've re-read the thread
mentioned above but can see no deviation from Varad's sterling advice. It still doesn't work,
so my current guess is that something has changed when Apex went to its new version.
Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding Image problems in version 4 ?
I guess I'm not the first to experience such issues, and a checklist of things to try would
    be most welcome.
I've done a View->Source on the page that doesn't work, and the issue with a missing value
for the "d=" parameter on the apex_util.get_blob_file seems to have recurred:
    src="apex_util.get_blob_file?a=130&s=1718106956127950&p=13&d=&i=25615931827270369&p_pk1=5&p_pk2=&p_ck=947078FC54BB5126E7E0D19F8A24C416"
Suggestions welcomed please; thankyou in advance.
    Mungo

    Hi Folks,
I've found a solution to my "image" problem that caused this thread, hence the decent thing is to
    post it here.
I read various other threads and stumbled across:
PDF viewing with  apex_util.get_blob_file_src not working with 4.0
PDF viewing with  apex_util.get_blob_file_src not working with 4.0 &# 4404695
That thread mentioned the requirement for an "Automated Row FETCH" process as well as having
an "Automated Row PROCESSING" process too.
I had the latter, but didn't have the former, so throwing caution to the wind I tried adding a dummy
Automated Row Fetch process and the damn thing worked!
Haven't got a clue why on earth either of these are requirements on a page that is selecting data
from the database - I don't understand where such processes are called in the big scheme of things.
That's just me baiting some kind soul to spell out the fundamentals for this idiot... please?
Happy to be corrected on any points.
    Regards until the next crisis...
    Mungo :-)
P.S. How come there is no reasonable way to get the URL of a single post in a thread - I'd like to give
reference to the single post that helped me, but all I seem to be able to get is the whole blooming thread.
    Suggestions?

  • Photosmart D110 All-In-One Printer - Shadow image problem

I have been having a problem with this printer, ever since we purchased it about 2 months ago, where it will print a shadow image of text or pictures on some documets but not others. It is specific and consistent in that it will print this shadow image on some documents every time and on other documents none of the time. I have a PC and a Mac and it doesn't matter which computer I use, only which document. Sometimes it is only a part of a document, like the computer generated part of an email where it says " this person at this time on this date wrote.." but the other text will be fine. It happens on some coloring pages but not others. I spent  2 hours on the support line yesterday; it's still doing it. She had me unplug it, take off the printer software and reinstall it, update software (on my Mac)  and it did not fix it.  Any ideas on what may be causing this & how to fix it? I like the printer but am about to return it because of this problem.  The printer we had been using was an HP C4280 and did not have this problem. I'd like to keep the printer if I can fix this problem.

I'm having the same shadow imaging problem on my Deskjet F4580, so if anyone knows how to correct it please post.. I've reinstalled/updated the driver, disabled advanced features, and deslected "Enable HP Real Life Technoliges".

  • Persistent Image problem

Okay, I just had the screen on this iMac replaced because of this problem with a dark line at the top of the screen. The screen has been replaced, and the dark line isn't there anymore. However, I am now having persistent image problems. This is noticeable when I use the Aurora desktop. If I have a window open (e.g. Safari) for a long enough time, and then I X out of it, I will see a shadow/ghost of it. It's most noticeable with a dark background. However, I DID change some of the settings in "Appearance," so I wonder if that might have done it. But I can't see a way to change everything back to default. Do you know if there's a way?

Hi again - a couple of ideas:
If you haven't printed the images or a while, it could be that you prepared them under a previous version of the Aperture raw and they've since been reprocessed, resulting in a slightly different look
I had an occasion about 12 months ago when an update to the Epson printer drivers caused me to have to go back and change my print setups in Aperture, due to new colour interpretations.  Don't know why, but it happened... maybe your settings have changed since last printing?
Could be that you did or didn't have the appropriate soft-proofing turned on - are you using this feature?

  • Strange short-term persistent image problem

    Hello,
I'm well aware of the typical image persistence problem, where an image can stay "burned in" after the monitor displays the same thing for hours on end.
I have a much shorter-term persistent image problem. Let's say I open a web-page, leave it open for 10 seconds and then open a new window in Safari (thus getting a pure white page). Well when that happens, the previous web-page is still shadowed on the new white.
30 seconds later it has faded, but then the same thing will happen again with anything else that's displayed.
    Any ideas?
    thanks
    Loa

Huh, now I'm really stumped. The cyan border is also present in FCE once I render, but it doesn't seem to happen for each instance when the paper image is used. Did you import the paper image as a .gif or something else? And did you add any filters to it? Did you also add any effects? The only I'm using with the paper image is the page peel and I have not tried any other effects to see if the cyan effect comes up.
I've put a screen capture of my FCE project showing the cyan border present in the canvas as my movie is playing. Its on my idisk as FCE movie problem.tiff

  • Passwords and images problem

Firefox image problem. In Firefox 3.6.12, every time I save an image that's already displayed on my screen, I see "one active download" appear in the bottom right of Firefox's window and the same image is also listed in downloads. The problem is that Firefox doing that uses more bandwidth. How do I set Firefox so that when I save an image, instead of that image getting re-downloaded from where it's stored on the internet, it's copied from wherever Firefox has it stored to display it so Firefox doesn't use as much bandwidth? Tools/options/advanced/network/offline storage is set to 50mb.
Firefox password problem. Tools/options/security/passwords has "remember passwords for sites" checked and there is nothing in my exceptions list. But Firefox keeps forgetting passwords, usually after restarting Firefox and or my whole system and on some sites, I don't even get asked "do you want to remember..." How do I fix this?
I do have CCleaner and it's set to run at startup, but all the boxes for Firefox are unchecked, so it's not the cause of either problem.

    @cor-el
OK, I'll give that extension a try and see what happens, thanx! :-)
    @venemovil
I right click and either select "save image as" or if I want to save an image to more than one location, I select "view image" and then use ctrl+s. Both results in Firefox re-downloading the image as I described above. It happens on every site I visit.
The password problem never happened before, but I will try disabling my extensions one at a time and see if it happens only whan a particular extension is turned on.
This is a screenshot of the extensions I do have installed.
    http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj216/Moonbarker/Clipboard01.jpg
I've also noticed that Firefox is forgetting what sites I've visited recently (I type in part of the url of sites I've visited sometimes as recently as a few hours ago and the entire url isn't in the suggested list) and I keep having to put the Fire FTP Button back in the toolbar (next to the home/stop/reload/back-forward buttons). That may be related to the pasword problem. I don't know.
