Poor Cloud storage service

Hello,
I'm not a big contributor of this forum or any forum in general, and not the kind of guy who complains on internet each time I've got an error message on my screen,  but this time I feel that I have to tell what I think.
And just so you know, I am quite good in computer in general, and try to keep my system as clean and updated as possible.
I love Adobe products which I use every day, and I was one of the first subscribers of the Creative cloud.
I started to use the cloud service with the preview, and waited a long time before the final version.
After approximatly 1 year of  usage I can say that Adobe Cloud storage is un-professionnal compared to other cloud services and I don't trust this cloud service anymore.
This service is not at the core of adobe's historical activity and I can verify that every day. Feel that it was issued too early for the coherence of their offer,  and that it's still today  in beta version
1) Poor performance and accessibility. Each time, I felt that it was longer than my dropbox account with no info on what file it is syncing. Very subjective , I agree.
2) Wrong storage capacity information, no real time storage info update . Today my cloud is empty (0 file) as in my archive folder, and Adobe CC keeps saying that  86% of my storage is used.
3) Frequent sync issues with file names. Fonts for my case , had to manually search for the file who was responsible
4) No easy and reliable way to extend storage capacity. They say on the FAQ, get contact at adobe, no clear and public pricing information.
5) Various Issues in syncing , and I still have no clue why. The only way was to delete all my 18 Go files and resync.
6) Weird file disapearance....today still no clue
7) Frequent errors in deleting archived files. Says there was errors in deleting.
8) I do a lot of motion graphics and video , no way to share video stream, have to download to se the file. Weird... when they promote video production !!
I don't want to charge Adobe for every issue I had or listed here, maybe it was my fault on some , but the overall experience was very very poor.
So I decided to leave CC cloud and give my money to competitor, I did the first syncs on my 100Go storage  and I'm  quite satisfied so far. Hope it will continue.
Maybe I'll switch back when Adobe will propose a more professionnal service.

    I was just wondering if any of you fine folks have ever had success at getting Veeam Cloud Connect that comes with Backup & Replication Enterprise Edition Version 8 to function with Google Cloud Storage Services as the provider?  
    If so, would you be so kind as to boast about it here and tell me how you got it to work and it can't be done, can anyone explain why it can't be accomplished?

    You are limited to a single Open Directory - so in terms of authentication, you cannot have the same user names on the server more then once. That also means your directory administrator has access to all the users accounts - so you cannot separate account management. The Apple Admin Application does a good job for majority of the virtualisation you are seeking, e.g. mail, domain, web. What you cannot do using the Admin application, you can do by directly configuring the services themselves (but you may end up breaking the Admin). As you know, the majority of the products that apple use are open source and the web is full of information on how to configure them. You will find that whilst the Admin application is good to get you going and is does the job it is intended for, but after time, you will want to move away from it and use the more complex areas of the servers capabilities.

    Jo, not that I'm aware of as an offering from Apple. While the photo stream can serve that purpose for a finite period of time (it's a rolling 1,000) if you're looking for web/cloud hosting or something similar to the galleries feature that .Mac/MobileMe offered you'll need to seek it elsewhere. The good news, there are numerous cloud storage services out there most of which offer free storage ranging between 2GB and 5GB.
    I personally use Dropbox.com for photo galleries and cloud storage/file sharing. But there's several to pick from and all of them are quite good.

    Just Cloud is a commercial cloud backup that is really a bait and switch scheme - stay away from just Cloud

  • Cloud storage apis

    Hello,
    Does anyone else has LabVIEW APIs for cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, etc.? I am seeking for a solution to integrate one or more of them in a project to upload measured results to the cloud right after recording, however I could not find good points yet.
    I have found that these services have some available apis in various languages (mostly java, objective c, javascript and sometimes .net), however my knowledge in using program code via labview is close to none. 
    Does anyone have any public solutions available? Or can you suggest where to start learning for it?

    In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
    If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

  • How to add 'Other' cloud storage accounts - alongside Dropbox, Evernote etc in AiO Remote

    I wonder if anybody knows what types of 'Other' accounts can be added in the Cloud Storage settings in HP All In One Printer Remote mobile apps. The usual options for Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive etc are there but there is also an option of 'Other' under the 'Add Account' section.
    In 'Other' you are asked for the following details:
    Name (An identification name)
    User Name
    Password
    Server URL
    I'm wondering whether this is for FTP or WebDAV or HTTP Post etc? I'm hoping the answer is WebDAV. The issue here is that I would rather use a service I host myself than a Public Cloud Service.
    Any ideas or assistance gratefully received.

    Thank you for your inquiry regarding the HP All In One Printer Remote mobile app. After explore the app, on both Android and iOS, here is what I found.
    The option that you describe is only found in the iOS app. I found the "other" that you spoke about in the settings menu. My understanding of this is that you can connect to a server, etc. Here is what it says in my settings:
    Name (My server)
    User Name ([email protected])
    Password
    Server URL (http://host.com)
    Please understand that the above example is from an iPad Air running iOS 7.

  • Disable access to the cloud storage feature for Creative Cloud for Teams?

    Is it possible to disable access to Creative Cloud Files when using Creative Cloud software for Teams/Volume Licensing customers? We're considering moving to Creative Cloud subscriptsions instead of traditional licensing and the ability to turn this feature off would be the easiest way to comply with our company's security requirments.

    My organization wants to block access to certain services, such as storage and access to community features, available through Creative Cloud. Is this possible?
    Yes, your IT administrators can block users from accessing the online services.  The online services and their URLs are listed here.
    As an administrator, you will also be able to deploy Creative Cloud desktop applications independent of the cloud-based services using the Creative Cloud Packager. The Creative Cloud Packager is available through Creative Cloud for teams.

  • Cloud storage on multiple devices

    Hello, I've been pretty satisfied with Apple, EXCEPT when it comes to cloud storage.
    I have three devices:
    iPad Retina
    My 6 year old daughter has my iPAd 2
    and my iPhone.
    all devices are under the same account, but every day I get a message stating that my storage is full. and I would need to purchase more storage.
    Why doesnt Apple reward or atleast ackkowlege that people with more devices get more free storage???
    it used to be that the photos didnt count against you, now it seems that it does.
    Very frustrating especially knowing that I cn get 25gigs free from Skydrive.
    Any thoughts?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    iCloud space is calculated per account not per device. It's not necessary to use any more space because you have 3 devices than it is if you had one.
    Photos don't count towards space used, that hasn't changed.
    Sky drive is a completely different type of service, it's not really comparable.

  • 100 GB cloud storage??

    Hello, we have two licenses creative cloud for teams and that allows us to have 100 GB of cloud storage per license. What type of storage is concerned? Can we share video or image files with clients? Is it a type FTP storage? How can we do it? The information we have found about it's confusing and does not resolve our doubts.

    Sharing is restricted for a few file types such as audio, video, fonts, and executable files. For example, you’ll be unable to share files with the following extensions: aac, dfont, eot, m4a, mp3, mp4, otf, pfa, pfb, ttc, ttf, woff, exe, and dll. Sharing of these files is restricted for copyright and security reasons.

    First of all, lets all agree to get some training to the help chat lines.  Inder was one I was chatting with and as I was typing another challenging question to the just down stupid answer I got being treated as an idiot, he or she cut me off, closed the chat and stated thank you for using Adobe chat support.  I guess the stats on how fast you deal with an issue is far more important than proving a viable service Adobe.  YES I AM F!@#$%G MAD.
    So I found out that Bridge went out of their way in development  to stop me from organizing and or just opening files from DropBox. All I wanted to do was conveniently open a JPG in RAW for some preliminary editing before bring the file into Photoshop CC. A feature that Adobe has been ranting and bragging about for a while.  When I tried this GREAT feature in Bridge as it were, I could not even open the shortcut to the folders where I store my photos in the cloud DropBox. When I persisted, Bridge eventually crashed.  I am sure that was some easy code to put in there to teach me a lesson for not buying Adobe cloud storage.
    So, after had spending 1000s and 1000s of dollars on Adobe products over the last 20 + years, I get treated as an idiot, an undereducated consumer, no respect and have to adhere to timeline restraints to meet a undereducated / under-trained so called specialist stats she he she won't get reprimanded or loose their job.  
    So here is my knowledge to the issue at hand.  I can not navigate Internet Based Cloud services without having to download them to my desktop first using Bridge CC.  Thus rendering this app useless when most if not all project files are on the cloud.  (Using the cloud makes so much sense in my case as a collaborator, project lead - manager, teacher in the arts of multimedia and a professional photographer).
    Seems like there is no solution from Adobe, so my question to the forum is, what apps are you using to get around this issue.  Adobe doesn't deserve my loyalty anymore and must EARN IT BACK! Third party solutions free or otherwise is welcomed.

    Will there be a "Publish Service" made available for those of us who already have Lightroom 4?  Trying to figure out how to use CC to access and share my Lightroom photographs...

    Although it is certainly possible to upload your photos in Lightroom to Creative Cloud, the Creative Cloud storage was primarily intended to use for hosting projects from the desktop applications and not your entire Lightroom image library. There is no native functionality to export to the Creative Cloud from Lightroom 4. There is an export option for publishing to Adobe Revel (might have been what you were thinking of). Adobe Revel also uses cloud storage and was specifically designed to store image libraries online, on the cloud, to be able to view on different devices. Adobe Revel is not one of the products included with Creative Cloud Membership and is also a separate monthly subscription product. If Adobe Revel sounds like something you might be interested in, there is a 30 trial of Adobe Revel you could use to try it out before subscribing.

    logical. fair. I can understand the confusion in policy  as another fine cloud service - DropBox - has a different model for increases in free storage amounts for one account = evangelism. As many policies as there are services probably.

  • Need to Disable Cloud Storage for our Enterprise

    I am trying to centralize the purchasing of Adobe Creative Cloud at my company. We develop software and services for use in the financial and healthcare industries. Therefore, we limit our use of cloud storage and services. Is there a way we can disable the cloud storage in the new Creative Could Suite? Most of our users are stuck using CS6 until this issue can be resolved. We are looking at purchasing anywhere from 50-100+ licenses if we can get this issues figured out.
    I have asked our Information Security team to block the Sync/Store.Share endpoints documented in the Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints guide. This was done and then we monitored workstations where the Creative Cloud was installed. The documented endpoints never appeared in any of our proxy logs.
    Help! We cannot upgrade until this issue gets resolved.

    It's possible--ETLA customers can purchase Creative Cloud subscriptions that don't include storage.  However depending on the number of seats you're purchasing and what has already been purchased (and under what plans), only Adobe knows where you fall under the Creative Cloud licensing spectrum (single, teams, and enterprise).
    You need to find your organization's Adobe representative and work through them.  If you don't know who that is, this FAQ for Adobe Buying programs may get you started.

  • Cloud Storage is Almost full

    I have a samsung galaxy s3, and i just realized that backup assistant plus has been going on everyday multiple times. Now i have stopped it but it has filled up my cloud storage about 98%. I don't want to upgrade the storage, i would rather delete the data already saved there. Is there any way that i can do this?

        It's great to see that you're using Backup Assistant. It's a useful feature. To ensure that you have a enough storage available you may want to careful choose what services sync. To find what services are syncing head into Settings > Backup Assistant. Within Backup Assistant will be the Backup Assistant settings.
