Pop-Up at startup on Dreamweaver CC

I get a pop-up at the startup of Dreamweaver CC everytime I start it. It doesn't seem to interfere with anything except my OCD (LOL)
The Document Type "" will not be added because it uses a file extension that is already associated with a prior Document Type.
It may have come from an extension I added, I do not remember/know. I do not have that many extensions to begin with.
Is there anyway to go to a "file or folder" and just delete/change something? Is there some type of "steps" I can take to track it down? I really hate the thought of uninstall/reinstall (as most people do). I guess I am hoping that someone has run into this, fixed this, heard of this.

Ok so I ran into the same pop-up problem after installing a SASS/SCSS/LESS code coloring extention from Adam Coulombe (https://github.com/adamcoulombe/dw-compass-codehints).
I used Adobe Extention Manager CS6 to convert the .mxi package to a .zxp package, because Dreamweaver CC only takes the .zxp extention, and unfortunately the conversion tool is somehow removed from the Extention Manager.
I even moved both the MMDocumentTypes.xml and the Extention.txt files to my Desktop, so that they didn't exist anymore inside the DocumentTypes folder (or for the Extention.txt inside the 'configuration' folder).
Then I restarted Dreamweaver CC, and even restarted PC, but the error message didn't go away.
So now you know my steps, maybe they can be of any use to you.
Any other suggested are more than welcome!

It throws a popup only the first time you launch the app, to confirm whether you wish to have notifications enabled for that specific app.

Fireworks Pop Up Menu Issue in Dreamweaver

Hi I have built a pop up/dropdown menu in Fireworks. This menu bar is for a site that I built using dreamweaver. I exported the menu bar in fireworks and then inserted it into dreamweaver but when I do this the button images are missing. Instead of images (of the menu bar categories), there are gray boxes in the shape of the picture (category/button image).
I had this issue before and was able to correct it. I am not sure what I did though. Nothing seems to be working, since I am unaware of how I actually fixed it, I can't figure out how to fix it again.
When I preview the file in fireworks, it looks fine and everything seems to work. When I insert the html file into dreamweaver, I have this issue with the menu bar images. The weird thing is that it is only the button images. I do have this site published and I have uploaded all of the files but the pictures still do not show. The link to this site is www.pariswyattllansoart.com. (the site is still under construction obviously).
The menu bar works fine otherwise. The only issue is that the up and over images for the buttons of the menu bar do not show in dreamweaver or on the published site. Even the images that make up the rest of the menu bar show. If you check the site out, you will see what I mean.

Thanks you!!! Your advice was so helpful. First of all thank you for pointing out how I should be saving my files. Because of your advice, I thought I would watch the tutorial again and pay attention to exactly how he was saving his document. I was saving the doc like this: Menu Bar, now I know that I need to save this file like this: menuBar_file and it works wonderfully. The files have to be saved in a folder in the local directory. Also because of how I was saving things, I realized that I had a few other problems with DW. I fixed those issues and DW works wonderfully.
Also here is something else that I learned from this. Once I got the images working, the dropdown/popup menus where no longer working. The issue was that I was trying to insert the FW dropdown menu into a document that had already been saved as a template. If you do this, there is not enough room for all of the code, so the remedy is to insert the menu bar into an html doc. and then save it as a template.

Toshiba registration reminder keeps popping up at startup

I registered my Portege laptop some time ago. Nevertheless the toshiba registration reminder keeps popping up at each startup of the computer and trying to find a solution.
How can I switch off this reminder?
The registration reminder program is not in the program startup list so I don't know where to find it.

Hey,
You can disable the Toshiba registration tool using msconfig. Just navigate to start > run > msconfig. Choose the last tab called startup and check the listed services. You should find a service that starts Toshiba registration tool after Windows started. Just uncheck this and restart your unit.
Now the Toshiba registration shouldnt start anymore. :)

Pops & clicks at startup

Hi,
Every time I launch Soundtrack, I can hear loud, random pops & clicks thru my speakers. The same goes for launching Garageband. My powermac connects to a small stereo system via a minijack/RCA cable. I've checked the cable first, it's ok.
Any ideas why is this happening?

It's happening because Soundtrack/GarageBand are synching to the same sampling rate as you Mac is set to.
Try changing the sample rate in Soundtrack Preferences. It's in the Project section. Set it to 44100 instead of 48000 Hz.

"Get connected" window keeps popping up on startup...

Hi all,
Since a while now I'm faced with this little nuisance. Everytime I start up my PC I get this message asking to connect a mobile device. My nokia is already connected just fine via blue tooth. Nomatter if I go through the options and add it again or if I just close the window, it keeps popping up at the start up.
Any thoughs about this issue?
I'm using the following software:
Windows XP Home SP3
Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.9
EEE PC 1000HE

Ah, I think I figured it out.
When Nokia PC Suite starts up at the system start up, my laptop doesn't have the bluetooth service available yet - so the PC Suite isn't connected to a phone yet - hence the pop up.
If however I start up the Nokia PC Suite with a delay (a batch file with an artificial delay for instance) then bluetooth IS available and Nokia PC suite connects automatically and no longer pops up the "Get Connected" window.

Dreamweaver crashes on startup [was: Dreamweaver Problem]

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this situation:
I recently moved all my software to a different computer. The software is older Creative Suite (CS2) with Marcromedia Dreamweaver 8. All the software from CS2 works fine, however, every time I try to start Dreamweaver the program begins to start up and immediately shuts down.
There are no error messages when Dreamweaver shuts down, and there were no errors during instalation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Okay, I've followed the instruction in this thread, and I renamed Dreamweaver's configuration folder and then tried launching Dreamweaver. It appears a new configuration folder was made, but the problem persists. I've tried deleting the WinFileCache-*******.dat file, but it shows up in the configuration folder each time I try to re-launch the program. When I launch the program, for just a moment things look normal, and then it crashes giving me an error code of 148:3. Any ideas from here?

Satellite Pro M - Registry pop up on startup

Every time I start up, I get the pop up on the desktop telling me there is something in my register files it cannot open, the only way I can describe this is looks like a chineese word followed by a circle,

Take a screenshot of the error message so we know what the file is.
I recommend you download and install CCleaner (google is your friend), and run the registry cleaner. CCleaner should detect the bad file link and remove it.

Did you resolve this problem, using any of the suggestions posted. I am having the exact same problem. Cannot burn DVDs or CDs is this part of my problem. Drive reported an error. Sense key aborted command. Sense code =0x04 logical unit not ready, cause not reportable.

How do I fix an SQlite3.dll error that keeps popping up on startup?

On bootup on my PC I always get the "unable to find SQlite3.dll file" in a box on the desktop after boot.
How do I resolve this?
(I know, buy a Mac..v0v)

Dreamweaver CC & CC 2014 closes on startup

I installed Dreamweaver CC 2014 and it closes on startup. Dreamweaver CC stopped working also. (all other CC 2014 apps are working)
I created a new user account and tested. Both Dreamweaver versions works there...
I have:
tried with java 1.6 and 1.8
uninstalled (with cleaner) and re-installed removing settings
removed all files in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/
removed all adobe file in ~/Library/Preferences/
run Disk Utility and repaired permissions and disk
logged in without all startup items
checked for bad fonts with Font Book
Still everything works on my new test account, but not on my nomal account

I'm sorry to hear that this happened and that your circumstances are different than mine. My issue happened during one of the new Mac OS installs. I used to either archive and install or do clean installs whenever I updated OSX because it has been unreliable at times to update and re-configure permission with each new release. However with the new app store approach these options are no longer available.
Moving files between user accounts is not an overly difficult task, although it can be time consuming, a couple hours max. Regardless, it is probably better to do this now then to wait for more problems to occur because corrupt user profiles do happen at times on Mac (and occasionally Windows too) and has been known to affect more software than just Adobe. Below are some steps involved to help get you started:
First, programs do not need to be migrated in the default setup. Unless you are on a system controlled by an administrator whereby each user installs their own, I don't think this should be an issue.
Next, just create a new account (with admin privileges if your current account is an admin).
Then go to the finder and copy the files from your old user account to the new one. This is located at Macintosh HD :: Users :: {username}
Then go to the preferences folder in the user library. For this log in as your current account, then use the Go to Folder command ( Shift + Cmd + G ). For the most part only the Application Support folder needs to be brought over. There are a few exceptions like Firefox/Mozilla profiles are in their own folder in the Library. Outside of that you should be good to go.

Mac Mini: Error-Disk Full-UNABLE TO BOOT-WHITE SCREEN at STARTUP

Last night a message popped up saying "STARTUP DISK FULL/almost full...Delete files to make disk space available"
Immediately after that message the system froze and I waited for a hour to see if it would unfreeze by itself
It didn't so I then pressed and held the power button until the system shut down
Now when I power up my mac mini, all I see is a white screen

Which model Mac mini is it? If it is quite an old one it might not in pre-boot stage know how to drive a brand new style keyboard. You can double check the keyboard itself is ok by plugging it in to your MacBook when it is already booted.
You could also test the DVD in your MacBook.
If you have not used the DVD drive in the Mac mini for a while it might have got dirty. Eject the disc if you can and carefully blow in to the disc opening to try and clear any dust.
Normally, methods of ejecting the disk would be -
Holding down the mouse button while you start the computer
Pressing the eject key on the keyboard
and various other methods that need the computer to be already up and running

It could possibly be still trying to boot from the hard disk - if your not able to get the keyboard recognised then obviously your not yet able to get it to accept a command to boot from a different drive. If your Mac mini is an older model and hence not in pre-boot mode able to recognise the new keyboard, do you have any friends with an old plastic Mac keyboard?

If you feel up to it, an option would be to take the Mac mini apart and remove the hard disk, then if you have the bits, put it in an external case and you can then connect it to the MacBook as an external drive. I have all those bits available to me but many ordinary users don't.

I tried the recycle option on my laptop and now it wont startup

I recently tried to recycle my computer.... now It keeps restarting and the intall windows block keeps popping up at startup. Every time I click ok... it does the same thing over and over.

I have seen a variaton of this, except in my case I cannot Click OK due to not having any TouchPad / Mouse control (on a Notebook). I can, however, press the Return key that appears to allow the install Process to continue in spite of the nasty little message.
The good / bad thing about the results: The process finalizes in the sense that the system does boot and the process does not endlessly cycle up-down-back-forth.
The bad thing: My system is running on Windows.old .
My situation is not the same - I was using an odd Customized Image on a hybrid system, blah, blah. The result is similar enough that I thought it worth mentioning.
Try pressing Return instead of Clicking OK -- IF it works, it may allow you to at least break the cycle.
You will still need to fix the underlying issue: The Recovery partition contents may be 'bad'.
You may need to order a set of Recovery discs from HP for your notebook.
How did the Recovery contents become corrupted? Well, in my case, I know the cause. In your case, I have no idea.
If you are sure the problem is NOT your Recovery Partition:
Try again, this time, disconnect EVERYTHING except the AC Power, the mouse, the monitor
Leave the wireless on
Switch off all other printers, computers, anything else on the network
Note that my experience in Desktops is much less than that in notebooks - ignore anything that doesn't make sense. Smiling.
