Populating A/R Invoice Fields With Stored SQL Info

Hello All --
I have heard that one option of getting freight charges, tracking info, other shipping data into our A/R Invoice of SAP B1 is to create a look-up in A/R Invoice that can retrieve data saved in SQL by World Ship.
Does doing something like this require the SDK package? If not, would doing this violate any service warranty offered by SAP?
Please advise.

You have asked this question a month ago.
As long as you follow SAP's tools like DTW, DI API or SDK, you will be covered without problem.
To be clear, I just copy the complete note text for you here:
SAP will not support any database, which is inconsistent, due to SQL-Queries, which modify datasets or the datastructure of the SAP Business One Database. This includes any update-, delete- or drop-statements executed via SQL-Server Tools or via the the query interface of SAP Business One.
This is stated in the support contract between SAP and the SAP Business Partner also.
"SAP will not provide support for any problem that arises because Partner or end customer has altered Software or SDK inappropriately " and "Nor will SAP provide any support services for problems that lie in Partner's or end customer's area of responsibility and result, for example, from inappropriate installation, unsatisfactory end-user training, lack of or incorrect business design, incorrect operation, or faulty hardware"
Where inconsistencies are found in a database as outlined above, SAP Business One Product Support will be unable to process the message further. In order to continue the support for this SAP Business One installation, it is expected to revert to a database backup where inappropriate changes have not been carried out.

The pl/sql code to get the return value displayed. It works very fine in sqlworkshop.

Pretty easy, add a CHR(10) (ASCII for carriage return) in the string concatenation.
e.g.

                 v_temp_nt(i).dw_refresh) || CHR(10);Also why over complicate the whole process by using objects and types by simplifying the code and also improving readability and maintenance by replacing the PL/SQL function body with something similar to (the conditions have been negated and may have not been what you meant in the first place)

How to combine a raw xml file stored in a table field withe other sql query in . xsq

I created .xsql file like this:

the xml file in the result is in text format, not in xml format,how to convert the file into xml format in the result

Populating Tabular Form Region Field With ITEM Data

Hi,
I have a date picker item, i want to be able to put that date in to all the rows in the field RENEWALDATE but ive tried to set that field to have the date item as default and it doesnt pick anything up. How can i do this?

I sorted it in the end...I created a PLSQL process thats updates and sets the field RENEWAL to :P7_X, so when P7_X is submitted this process runs and updates all the rows displayed to populate the renewal date column with this value. I also intend on being able to select a particular trainer and populate all the rows with that one trainer user the same process.
My situation is that certain staff have individual training sessions but some need to be in group sessions where by the trainer can update multiple people who say attended the Induction course on 12/04/2007, User selects the date and course presses retrieve and this brings back all staff on the course, the trainer can then pick his name, a renewal date and submit these, hence updating the field for every member of staff. Of course the update process is only assigned to a certain button and not on submit, so a trainer can amend a single individual out of the group and still submit the correct details. Adding multiple fields with ASP & SQL

Hi there --
I have a database that holds subscription info. Based on the time of payment and the length of subscription, I calculate an accrued monthly amount, assign that amount to a variable, and assign it to a month on a Web page.
I want to tally up the totals for the columns that result. That means I'll need to add up several fields per record, and also add up all the records - like this:
Customer 1: Field 1 + Field 2 + Field 3
Customer 2: Field 1 + Field 2 + Field 3
... and so on - I want all those fields added together.
I can get what looks like the last record's fields summed by using <% = (Field1) + (Field2) + (Field3) %> but it doesn't tally up all the records.
It's possible to do, isn't it? Help?

I am looping through the recordset. Can you tell me how I'd handle those variables? I can't quite get my head around it.
Fields 1, 2 and 3 are already variables calculated from the values in the database, and they're getting output into that recordset loop...

Service Request - Default Owner field with Created By info

Can anyone help me to default "Owner" field in "Service Request" record type with same info of the "Created By",
Currently the owner field is provided with magnified glass option to select Owner and Save the Service Request.

I am assuming that the login user is the creator of the record.
In that case, use the 'Owned By Id' field in the SR object. Post default it to LoginId()

Setting fields defined in SQL updateable report with a process

I have SQL statement defined in a SQL updateable report with hidden fields. I want to be able to update these hidden fields with values from other displayed fields on the page. How do I reference these hidden items - I have referencign them as :my_field but get and error telling me thats its underfined.

But, the reason I am doing this is because I want to format the page with 6 columns in one <TD> cell with some extra text and formatting etc - I don't want 1 column per <TD>. Thats why I am using the APEX_ITEM.TEXT so I can format the 1 <TD> the way I want it (with 6 columns it there).
In the short term can you tell me how to reference hidden fields please.
I will create the case in apex.oracle.com in the next few days to make it clearer.

SQL Expression field with parameter

Hello,
I am trying to create a SQL Expression Field that will give me the maximum status date of an employee before a certain date entered in parameter.
ex: select max(status_date) from status where status_date < formula field or parameter
Since I can not put a paramter or a formula field in a SQL Expression field, I might need a template or an example of something that works ?

Ok,
The only way I found to get the maximum status date of an employee with the date entered in parameter was to litteraly put each employee ID, and Status Date in the Detail section.
Then in the select expert create the parameter date.
Then I created a running total field that counts the employees and resets on change of employee sorted by status date.
Then I created a formula that gets all the first occurences of this running total field and if the running total field equals 1, a new formula field shows 1 and if not (2 and more), it shows 0.
But I can't find the way to give me the total that I need for each group sections.
It's ok if the SQL expression field does not work, but I need to find a way to get the max date.

I am not sure where your question is directed. The forum that you have posted your question in is for questions related to the SAP Business One SDK. Are you looking to create new user tables/fields in SAP Business One? If so you can do this either through the SAP Business One SDK interface using Tools > User Defined Fields and/or Tools > User Defined tables.
You can also create metadata objects in Business One programatically using the UserTablesMD and/or UserFields objects.
SAP does not support direct SQL writes to the SAP Business One Db.

Populated the new field with historic data

HI,
I have a data for 2 years now I am enhancing the data source how can I populated the new field with historic data.Is it by
1)deleting all the data in BW side and the doing an init then setting up a regular delta
2)running a repair full request with selection condition.
or is there any other option available? which is the best scenario to load these historic data?

I think your datasource is already in production, and you want to data only from today onwards for enhanced fields, i.e. historical data is not required for enhanced fields..
1.Fix ECC down time for 20 to 30 munities
2. Keep all objects on Qty system in ECC and BW.
3.Run Delta laods in BW for 2 to 3 times.So with this step you can clear SMQ1 and RSA7. Check the entries in RSA7, if it is ZERO then it is fine.
4. Move DS from ECC Qty to ECC PROD .
5. Replicate in BW.
6. Move all BW objects from BW Qty to BW Prod.
7. Delete Init load in InfoPackage level (Not in ODS/CUbe).
8.Load Init without DataTransfer.
9.Then Run Delta.
10. Next day on wards deltas will come as usual.
If you need Historical data also.
1.Delete data in Cube.
2.Fix Down Time and load Init then Delta.

Writing to a temp table in a stored procedure with dynamic sql

Hi
I am writing into a temp table with dynamic sql:
select coloum_name into #temp_table from
+
@DestinationDBName+'.information_schema.tables
and then I am trying to use #temp_table in the procedure:
select coloum_name into #anotherTable from #temp_table
but I am getting an error that #temp_table is not recognized.
Can a temp table not be used in dynamic sql ?
How can I overcome this problem ?

Temp Table Can used easily in Dynamic Query in SQL Server and here is small Exmaple you can check it and do like it

Having issues with populating a Text Field with data from 2 other fields

I have 3 fields Tools_1a_pri, Tools_1a_pri_other, Tools_1a_pri_txt.
Tools_1a_pri is a drop down combo with a predefined list. One of the options is "Other". When "Other" is selected, the text field Tools_1a_pri_other becomes visible for users to enter the name of the other tool.
The Tools_1a_pri_txt is a text field with a calculation that shows either text stating that no tool has been selected or the Tools_1a_pri & or Tools_1a_pri_other.
When I select one of the predefined tools, everything works. When I select other, it appears that nothing has changed. It requires that I click on another field before it populates. This is confusing to the user.

You made the classic mistake of using the assignment operator in an if-statement instead of the comparison operator. Change this line:

Popup not populating the originating field with selected results

Customized setting browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction 0.
Popups from searchable fields open in new tab BUT they do not populate originating field with results.
"Diabetes" in search box get choices 250 2504 check choice Hit confirm and search box should have a number 250
Worked in FF3 not 8.

Tried that but not working.
It works fine if I default the newwindow.restriction to 2.
BUT I like the way the windows tab with 0 AND it used to work in FF3.
Tried to find safe mode, but FF9 not listed in my programs (FF3 was).

Populating descriptive field with itresource name?

After my AD account is provisioned i need to update request description with resource name. but when i map the descriptive field it populateds descriptive field with key but not the resource name. How can we populate descriptive field with resource name?

ASAIK, you can not see the resource name in map descriptive field. But you can do a workaround like, create a hidden field(UD_ADCS_RESNAME) in AD Process Form and use pre-populate adapter to populate this field with your resource name.
Now in Map Descriptive Field of AD Provisioning, select the field UD_ADCS_RESNAME under the Process Data. You will be done.
