Position of error tip

Hi!
I have a question:
Is there a way to controll where the errorTip appears when an Validation Error occurs?
My problem is that I have a form (form.swf) that is loaded into another swf. On mouse over, the tip is showing, but extends outside of the main swf.
What I want to know how to do is find a way to place the tooltip at a fixed position, and not to the right of the field.
Any ideas?

Positional Parameter error

Hi everyone,
While running simple (dept form) under scott schema I received positional parameter error message after running this form.
How would I avoid Jinitiator before running the forms 9? Because when I click ok It opens athe application Server then run the form. I can't want to open application server for running this simple form.
Forms Version is 9.
What setting I do in order to run the dept form successfully on version forms 9.

I don't want to sound skeptic, but wasn't that a bug in release 9.0.2.9?
I tried in 10g R2 and it does run even if the path has a space in it. I tested in C:\test forms my Oracle home is under D:\Devsuite10g. I ran it from the builder.
If it's the same bug than it has some weird behavior :o)
Anyway You are 100% right, the invention of spaces in a directory name it's hmmmm not so right :o)

Invalid control character 0 at position 7, Error Code : UFGUIEZK

When I first login obiee dashboard, it would error about "invalid control character 0 at position 7".
But if I click a select button, it would show the result what I want it.

When I enter any dashboard pages, (not the login page...) it would error about "invalid control character 0 at position 7".
I press the "Backspace" button. (I keep a same brower and same session.)
Then I enter same dashboard. It doesn't mention about the error message. -_-; It works....
What's the points is...

Except... If I wanna the any dashboard, I would enter the page twice.

Powershell date range positional parameter error

I am trying to export emails sent to a particular email address in a specific date range. I can run the command and it works fine without the date range, but when I try to include it it errors out. Any help appreciated.
Working command without date range:
Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery “To:’[email protected]’” -TargetMailbox "SearchResults" -TargetFolder Export
And repeat it using “From” instead of “To”
When I try to add a date range though like this:

MSS- Search Position-- Sorting error

Hello Experts,
We are using EP7.0/ECC6.0 system. While navigating to MSS->Search position form, there are various columns available like (firstname, org unit, manager name etc..). When we are trying to sort the firstname column through header arrow, it's not working. We are unable to sort the column.
Can anybody suggest how to sort the column. If anything needs to be configure in R3 OR anything needs to be done on portal side, let us know.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

we are not using any nested columns. we just have a table like various columns(eg firstname, manager name, org unit etc.). we are unable to sore the first column, while sorting on other columns through header arrow are working fine.
Please let us know how can we configure in backend so that the first column also start working.

I have a issue, while creating positions in PPOC_OLD the date period BEGDA & ENDDA assign as 01.01.2009 to 31.12.9999 but the system is creating as 07.09.1995 in Object period.

Always create the position
in the date of beg of organisation
say for ex if an employee joined on 01.01.1980 and transferred to manager position for which the date of object is
created w.e.f 01.01.2009 ,then it wont accept the transfer.
Inorder to avoid those stuffs ,it is incorporated
hope u can now understand the importance giving the date of beg of company in position creation

"Error Compiling Movie. Unknown Error" tip

I feel like I can contribute something worthwhile after asking many questions.
Today I got the dreaded error message "Error compiling movie. Unknown error."
Maddening.
After trying to figure out which step in my editing caused this, and being unable to reverse it, I created a new sequence with identical settings to the one that I could not render and then copied and pasted the clips from the old sequence to the new.
It works fine.
So clearly something has gone screwy with the sequence.
So if you get the warning dialogue, see if this works. I hadn't seen this solution on the boards anywhere.

Error compiling movie. Unknown error is a big pain in the but.
Creating a new sequence does not work for everyone.
You have to try all sorts of things to narrow the problem down.
I once had that error and after messing about a whole afternoon i found a falty clip.
Anyway thanks for reporting your solution.

Error installing Azure SDK 2.2: An error occurred while parsing Entityname. Line 1031, position 71.

I am setting up a new machine for windows azure development. I have VS 2013 Ultimate with Team Explorer on Windows 7 Enterprise. When I launch the Web Installer for Azure SDK 2.2 I receive a dialog almost immediately with the message:
An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 1031, position 71.
I ran the same installer on another machine with similar configuration of VS2013 and Win 7, and it doesn't display this dialog.
Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Based on your description, you install Azure SDK successful in a similar configuration machine, but it give "An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 1031, position 71" error in your target machine, from my research, this may be Microsoft

Error Creating Invoices with more than 1000 positions

Hello.
I am creating invoices in SD module with VF01 transaction. When the document has more than 1000 positions an error is displayed.
The text of the error is:
Memory area p.status GUI SAPMV60A SM is too small.
área memoria p.status GUI SAPMV60A SM demasiado pequeña.
I would like to know if there is any way to correct this error. If it happens because memory is too small, how could it be increased?

As far as I know, standard SAP has restricted the no. of line items in an accounting document to 999.
So, this is in turn impacts the no. of line items you can have on a Sales invoice,
Since every invoice line item can have atleast 2 accounting entries, the max. no. of invoice line items you can have is 499.
I dont think there is no work around for this

I seem to have fixed my problem of randomly occuring errors in my filterwheel control. But I don't know why this should actually work.

I am using a thorlabs fw102B filterwheel. It's connected via USB (simulating COM port, that's what it says in MAX). The second device is a camera, also connected via USB. The application is running 24/7, at least that's what it's supposed to do. LabView version is 8.6.
The LabView code I wrote for this, was never really finished, meaning I totally ignored error handling in the first program version. That never bothered me, because the program ran for weeks and months without any problem. Whenever I had to reboot my system it was not LabViews fault, but I was changing something else.
Recently I was running into problems with the filterwheel (after a system reboot). However, I don't understand the error in the first place: The filterwheel is supposed to change position every 15 minutes, in between the camera is taking exposures, then the data is written to an ASCII-file (only ~156 kB). At first the error occured just once: the filterwheel was set to the wrong position for about 15 minutes, which might happen, as it is not really could in counting. A few days later it was in that wrong positon for one hour, so it didn't respond to the "move" order four times in a row. Finally I didn't move at all anymore. The error message I was getting is "0xFFFFFFF unkown status code". In my opinion the communcation to the filterwheel got lost somehow. I don't know a better explantion.
But why should it recover after some time?
The problem usually occured at night, when nobody is there to watch.
I investigated the behaviour in a second setup (see attachment). There is only the filterwheel connected. Through randomly unplugging the USB or power cable I was able to reproduce 'session handle is not valid', 'unkown status code' and 'session handle lost'. The program enters the 'true case', the session is to be closed and resetted, then it shall be reinitialized. This actually works as soon as the cables are reconnected. But why?
The close.vi still returns 'session handle is not valid', The reset.vi returns the same, but initialize.vi returns 'No Error' and the system works again.
What am I not getting here?
I read some threads here and somebody mentioned for another instrument/problem to use the 'reset' command twice. So I tried 'close-initialize', 'reset-reset-initialize', 'reset-initialize' but only 'close-reset-initialize' works (not surprising). Yet I still get the same errors (probe 1 and 2). Am I introducing more bugs without knowing than I fixed?
I AM CONFUSED.

thank you for your answer. Concerning the dataflow I agree and it is what I usually do. Actually I follow the dataflow paradigm whenever there is no problem (the 'false case' in the screenshot):
“FW102x Initialize.vi” -> “FW102x Get Position.vi” -> “FW102x Set Position.vi”.
Whenever there is a mistake, this just doesn't work with these drivers. The sequence
“FW102x Initialize.vi” -> “FW102x Get Position.vi” -> ///error/// -> “FW102x Close.vi”, “FW102x Reset.vi” ;; “FW102x Initialize.vi”
will give me errors for “FW102x Close.vi”, “FW102x Reset.vi” and “FW102x Initialize.vi” reporting "session handle not valid". However, if I "bypass" the instrument handles directly from the first "Initialize" to "Close" and "Reset", they will report the same error, but the second "Initialize" will work again. I can even merge the first two frames and execute "Close" and "Reset" at the same time to do so. But whenever I try something else, e.g. do the 'correct' wiring, I am unable to close, reset or reinitialize. I have to restart LabView completely, to make the vi work again. So I guess the session is still hanging around somewhere in memory, but I can't access it anymore.
Surprisingly, wherever I put Probes on the data handle wires they show the correct "ASRL5::INSTR" (with or without correct wiring). But only the "Bypass" wire makes the vi work. Since you couldn't find the drivers in the driver network, I guess they might just run into problems, if an error occurs.
But thanks for your comment anyway. The problem is fixed for the moment. It's just that I prefer to actually know what I am doing here instead of producing some code I'd rather not show anyone.

ORA-00604 error when trying to insert into a XMLTYPE stored as BINARY

Hi. Here's the scenario.
Here's my Oracle version:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options
The database is encoded as AL32UTF8.
First I create the table...
create table binary_table (the_field XMLTYPE) XMLTYPE COLUMN the_field STORE AS BINARY XML;
Now I try and do an insert like this...
insert into binary_table values (xmltype('<?xml version="1.0" encoding="AL32UTF8"?>' || chr(10) || '<a>b</a>' || chr(10)));
and I get this error:
SQLState: 60000
ErrorCode: 604
Position: 122
Error: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
If I create the table with a CLOB storage option for the XMLTYPE, the insert works fine. If I repeat these steps in another database instance, same Oracle version, that's encoded as WE8ISO8859P1, it also works fine. It behaves the same in several clients. I also tried it with several different values for NLS_LANG and that didn't help.
I do want to say that this database instance has just been set up especially for me so I can do some R&D on AL32UTF8 and XMLTYPE to see if it fits our needs. So it might be a problem with the database instance.

I think the error console might be a source of memory and lagging errors

I notice that if I open the Firefox Error Console logs that the error listings are fast and frequent (which is okay if the browser is working past them). However, after using Firefox v2 and upward I am now pondering if the error log might be the source of the hard-to-kill lagging and memory issues. I note that as the longer Firefox runs, the longer the error log must grow as well as the number of page fault calls which all eats up memory or requires more frequent disk swap paging to record it all. The longer it all runs, the bigger the error log goes.
Since the error log probably gets more leeway on memory cleanups and CPU hits (to retain accuracy) this eats up more processor time and more hard-to-kill memory space, which then kicks in the system's Paging File causing more disk swapping.
My suggestion is simple, create an ABOUT:CONFIG option to, clip off the error log once 100 (or user-defined) errors are hit. Delete the oldest errors, keep the newest until they get pushed off the rotating stack. Obvious problems with this are first renumbering rolls (deleting 001 and changing 002 to oo1 and so on also eats up pointless CPU cycles). Having an ever-growing numbering stack would hit an out-of-bounds error eventually (delete 001, number latest error 101, and so on).
A rotating "ERROR ROLLOVER LIST POSITION MARKER" is simpler.
Just have a variable called "ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER" and it holds a variable of 001 to 100. Whatever numerical value of the "ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER" is marks where the text value of the error listing is named "ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER".
Let us use for example that the last error on the rolling error list was at position 087
Text value for error list position 087: [ reference to undefined property ]
The value of numeric variable "ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER" would be 088
The text value for error list position 088: [ ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER ]
When we get the next new error, the variable numeric value of "ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER" would become 089
The text for error list position 089 would become: [ ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER ]
The text value for error list position 088 would become the text of whatever the current error was.
In this manner you can keep a simple quick list, save a bundle of memory, and in the event of a crash, you look for ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER values and you know exactly what the last error was and the 99 that preceded it.
When the ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER hits 100, then you simply push that to the 001 location when the next error hits and after the next error, the ERROR LIST ROLL MARKER becomes 002 and that current error text overwrites the 001 location.

Hi, I managed to solve the errors (kind of) by using this code.
