Possible cause of wccp v2 error message WCCP-EVNT:D60

I have wccp configured on a pair of 6509s trying to establish a relationship with a couple of Bluecoat proxies. We are trying to use L2 redirection. I keep getting this message:
WCCP-EVNT:D60: Here_I_Am packet from w.x.y.z w/bad rcv_id 00000000
I have set this up in two other locations using 3750s and the same proxies. Everything looks the same both on the switches and on the proxies. Any suggestions for where to check would be welcome.

Hi Dan,
Here is what we have configured:
ip wccp 60 redirect-list Proxy_traffic group-list Bluecoat
Standard IP access list Bluecoat
20 permit 10.230.62.6
10 permit 10.230.62.4
Extended IP access list Proxy_traffic

60 permit tcp host 10.230.21.103 any eq 443
70 permit tcp host 10.230.21.103 any eq 554
80 permit tcp host 10.230.21.103 any eq 1755
interface Vlan254
ip address 10.230.254.252 255.255.255.0
no ip redirects
no ip proxy-arp
ip wccp 60 redirect out
ip route-cache flow
glbp 1 ip 10.230.254.254
glbp 1 timers msec 250 msec 900
glbp 1 preempt delay minimum 30
end
This is exactly how we have set it up on two sets of 3750s at different locations and they are working fine (except for the redirect out which I have read your warnings about).
Here is what I continue to see from the switch with debug event and debug packet turned on:

Is it possible to block this message with javascript?
    I've already tried the following:
    app.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevel.DONTDISPLAYALERTS;
    This won't work.
    Cheers Daniel

Don't like it when nobody answers… So I will be the bearer of not so good news… I thoughts are there are 2 types/levels of app dialogs warning & error the first you can dismiss as your example… The second you might be able to wrap in a try, catch, finally… I know that for Photoshop several scripters said they would prefer script not to stop… and throw the error… Do you have many files that will be like this ( never had this dialog myself ) Single out specific errors may be CS8…

  • Possible to catch all XI error message?

Is it possible to catch all XI errror  and save it, including abap proxy runtime, j2ee adapters.
    anybody give me a clue?

    Hi Shen Peng,
Please refer to below table for logs. Ideally you are not recommendated to make any changes to these tables.
If you are looking to show all possible errors to your customer then, prepare a report based on the Early Watch Alert report and show it your customer at high level and if you try to show every alert/log that generated in the system to the customer then you it will be high task for you to explain each and every entry.....I rather suggest you give the high level report.
Because many alerts/logs are temporary and not that critical to explain to the customer unless it's impacting the business.
    ABAP -Syslog entries
    TSL1D and TSL1T - syslog entries
    Java related log files
    XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT  audit log entries
    BC_MSG_AUDIT  PI 7.1 audit log entries (**)
    SXMSALERTLOGGER  XI alerts log
I hope this info helps you.

    Hi Silpa,
BDOC messages will be stored in the table SMW3_BDOC6 and SMW3_BDOC4. These entries will be deleted from your system at the time of middleware reorganization job execution(Report SMO6_REORG2).
I hope you scheduled the Middleware reorganization using report SMO6_REORG2.

  • Confusing error message in job log of infocube loading job

    Hello,
I executed a job which runs a process chain. The process chain has two important steps: It extracts tranaction data from a planning area in an infocube and it loads APO-relevant master data (materials, plants) from R3 system in the same infocube.
Almost every step of this process seems to be executed correctly. The loading process ended successfully. But the spool of the job is a bit confusing:
Loaded CVC's are all listed and appear with a green traffic light. Master data appear with a red traffic light and with the comment: Product xxx does not exist. The same with the location.
Does anybody know why the signals are red in this case.
In APO and R3 all listed master data are available - in the planning area as well as in the infocube after the data loading.
So, I am very confused about this message text in the spool because everything seems to be ok....
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
    H.Becker

    Hello Heinz,
First of all, we need to be sure regarding which step the particular log correspoinds to.
You mentioned that your process chain has 2 steps.
Do you know how to look at the logs for a particular step of a process chain?
Go to RSPC, double click on your process chain, and then click the log button at the top?
You would now be in the log view. Then double-click on the step no.1, and see the information contained in the central tab named "backg". Does this contain the errors corresponding to you reds (that location or product does not exist)?
If not, repeat the same step for step 2.
Once you are sure regarding the step against which you are getting your error, please share soe more info regarding the step.
Then we could look further into the possible cause.
PS: Your first message itself was very confusing. You mentioned that you get transaction data from planning area to the cube, and you also get CVCs (location/products) from R/3 source system to the cube. This is very confusing.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Bogus error message: "The field jnlp has an invalid value: https."

We are running into a variant of an old bug. With a Windows XP client using JRE 1.5.0_05, we get:
{noformat}Launch File Error: The field <jnlp> has an invalid value: https
    Java 1.4+ is required for HTTPS support{noformat}
which of course is a strange thing for a 1.5 JRE to be squawking about. We found a Sun bug report 6433293 that reports this behavior as occuring on Solaris but not on Windows. We're seeing it on Windows. The bug report suggests that the error message text is the "wrong message" and may be totally unrelated to the actual problem (although it is triggered by having an https URL in the "href" attribute of the <jnlp> tag).
Because of our customer environment, upgrading the JRE beyond 1.5.0_05 is NOT an option for us. I googled the message and found one blogpost that suggested the error may be related to the XML encoding (which seems surprising, but they claimed changing the encoding fixed the problem for them). I tried fiddling with the encoding values, but to no avail. Anyone know anything about this bug, and any possible workarounds?

We finally found the solution to this, so I will follow up for the sake of posterity. Thanks, Andrew, for the pointer to JaNeLa. While it didn't tip us off to this particular problem, it did get us thinking in the right direction: that there was something about the JNLP file, completely unrelated to what the error message was reporting, that was causing the problem. Turns out that the Java 1.5.0_05 WebStart JNLP parser had a bug, such that it was tripped up by a JNLP file containing more than one XML comment in immediate succession. It seems unbelievable, but it was completely reproducible. Our JNLP file began like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <!-- here's a valid XML comment -->
<!-- here's another valid XML comment, but it freaks out JWS 1.5.0_05 -->
<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="https://ourserver/ourApp" href="https://ourserver/ourApp/ourApp.jnlp"/> By accounts, this was patched in 1.5.0_10, and we know that the problem didn't occur in 1.6.0_13. In case anyone else has this problem, that's something to look for. (Note: this isn't the only cause of this erroneous error message. It apparently got printed out when the parser was unhappy about various things. I saw another report that someone had a problem with their "encoding" attribute value on their xml header, and fixing that solved their problem.)

  • Desktop Manager crashes with "unknown error" message before sync starts

I have the latest phone software, the very latest version of the desktop software and I can't get the sync to get past the initialization stage before it crashes.  I've read some of the other posts about changing the synch settings but I can't even get to the settings options before it crashes.  I've uninstalled the desktop software and reinstalled it (both with and without the media manager add on).  I've done a battery pull on the phone itself.  I've even done a restore of the last good backup of the phone.
Is it just me or does this house of cards seem to collapse every time there's an update to either the desktop software or the phone software?

If you have reinstalled the software without using the clean removal procedure I recommend you
use the procedure and the install the desktop manager again. The procedure cleans the registry and
completely strips all directories etc. This will save you headaches in the long run.
Use the first procedure to check the possible causes of the "unknown error".

Most posts I see regarding any new desktop manager are installation and setup errors by far.
The other posts mainly are Windows OS programs that aren't updated or unique to a specific PC setup.
House of cards? I don't think there are enough cards for a double deck pinochle game.

  • Regular Expression error messages

Is there any possibility to generate a readable error message after an failed match of regex pattern, to indeicate the index of the first character caused the non matching patter, something like this
"Character 5 must be a figit".
or is this not even possible to implement for regualr expressions? Thanks
    Karim

The interface java.util.regex.MatchResult (new in Java 5) has methods that provide this information:
"This interface contains query methods used to determine the results of a match against a regular expression. The match boundaries, groups and group boundaries can be seen but not modified through a MatchResult"
You can then throw your own error using the information. The end() method, specifically, will provide the information you want.

  • Error message from Application Server

    Hi All,
Is it possible to capture a descriptive error message from the Application server when we try to transfer a file from SAP and it does not get written to the application server.
I know it is possible to catch the standard catchable runtime exceptions, but I also would like to know if the file transfer fails in any other conditions which do not result in runtime dumps, nevertheless I should be able to get the error message.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Error messages in IP

    Hi All,
I would like to know if it is possible to get record specific error messages in IP?
Right now the messages that we get are not self-explanatory.
e.g. In case a value is entered in a input-ready field Field1, which is not a value from the Master data, then we get an error message saying 'There is no characteristic value **** for characteristic Field1'.
This message does not give a clear picture as to where exactly is the error, in which record.
Can we have error messages which specify in which record exactly has the error occured?
    Regards,
    Apeksha.

    Hi,
You cannot customize this error message as it is system generated based on the characteristic relationship defined on the infoprovider.Once you try to post the plan data ,all the records are checked for this check and then system generates messages.
Planning functions use the characteristic relationships to constantly check whether new characteristic combinations are valid. If there are invalid combinations, the system produces an error message.
Where possible, the system derives characteristics when it determines the delta records in the delta buffer. Possible source characteristics are characteristics in the real-time InfoCube that are filled by characteristics from the relevant aggregation levels.

  • Trying to install Illustrator CS3 on Windows 8.1 and get error message-installer database is corrupt

When I try to install Illustrator CS3 on a windows 8.1 machine and get the following error message. " Installer database is corrupt". Have tried rebooting computer etc. and still the same problem, any suggestions?

BrianDany I am sorry you are facing difficulties installing Creative Suite 3 under Windows 8.1.  Windows 8.1 was not available during the time period which Creative Suite 3 was developed and the last updates released.
I would recommend reviewing your PDApp.log and possibly AMT3lib.log file for error messages which are preventing the installation.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the log files at Troubleshoot installation with install logs | CS3, CS4.  You are welcome to post any specific error messages which you discover to this discussion.

  • Paper Jam error message due to broken gear on Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-one printer

3 year old HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-one printer (haven't used it much). Keeps telling "Paper Jam" although there is no paper jammed anywhere (searched meticulously with a flashlight after watching HP's tutorial videos on how to clear paper jams). I started searching on the Internet and found a couple of related videos on Youtube that pointed me in the right direction:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMFW1RRlDHEhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwbF2Vs_0gQ  I could hear a clicking noise on that area of the printer each time I turned it on, so I carefully took the black cap apart that was hidding the gear, and confirmed I had the same problem as in the youtube videos above. See picture below showing the white plastic gear part that has a large crack which causes the Paper Jam error message and renders the printer unusable. After Googling a little bit, seems like a relatively common issue and wonder why such a part like that is not made of a stronger material like metal (planned obsolescence maybe?). Does anybody know if there is a way of replacing the broken gear?  (I really care for the environment and I would like to avoid having to throw the relatively new and expensive all-in-way printer away) Thanks a lot in advance for the advice!

Hey ,  Thanks for posting in the HP Support Forum.  I do see that a cracked gear in your HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One Printer is impeding all functionality.  I would like to help you with this but that particular part is not replaceable.  I recommend you reach out to our tech support team to find out what servicing options you have available.
