Post shipment Charges.

Hi friends,
We have an issue to handel the post shipment charges as follows, Please suggest if you have any solution.
In a Typical Export consignment, there are various post delivery charges after the Delivery is created  ex: Inspection charges, fumigation Charges, CHA Charges, Freight, etc which are not to be recovered from client and needs to be paid to respective vendors.
1.The information is to be captured in SD for information purpose.
2.The payments have to be made to third party based on SD documents, there should not be any duplicate payments possible and there should be a link between SD and FI documents.
3.When payments are made to the service provider Service Tax, Education Cess and Secondary Education cess should be deducted and the amount should hit CENVAT account.
Challenges in SD:
1.The client does not want to use MM route to create Service PO as there are too many transactions to be created.
2.If the amount is made Statistical it is not hitting the GL Account.
3.If it is not made non-statistical it is hitting the Customer Account which should not happen.
Regards
KS

Dear Krishna,
I hope your requirement can be addressed in the Transportation process so you can do the settings related to Transportation.
In the transportation after delivery creation before PGI shipment document will be created with service agent after that shipment cost document will be created with reference to the shipment document.
In the shipment cost document you can determine *shipment cost pricing procedure* through this procedure you can capture Inspection charges, fumigation Charges, CHA Charges, Freight, etc and Service Tax, Education Cess and Secondary Education cess should be deducted.
After creation of the shipment cost document you can settle the shipment cost to the service agent through settlement process.

*Configuration Steps in the Transportation process*
1) Maintain transportation planning point through Menu as follows:
IMG Maintain Logistic Execution  Definition Enterprise Structure  transportation planning point.
Create your own like BP01 enter the general data is required
2) Defining modes of transport:
IMG   RoutesBasic Transportation Functions  Transportation Logistic Execution  Define modes of transportDefine routes
Use the standard like:
Shipping type: 01
Description: Road
3) Define shipping types :
Basic Transportation Transportation Logistic ExecutionIMG   Define shipping types Route Functions
Or through T-code: SM30
PT: 01
Description: Truck
Mdtr: 01
STPG: 0001
4) Define transportation connecting point :
LogisticIMG  DefineRoutes  Basic Transportation Functions  Transportation Execution Define transportation connection pointsroutes
Copy the std point and make it FB01 as departure zone and FB02 as destination zone
5) Define routes and stages.
 Logistic Execution IMG   Define Define routes Routes  Basic Transportation Functions Transportation routes and stages
Use the standard route and copy it as FB0001 and enter the departure zone and destination as what we created.
6) Defining Transportation Zone:
Basic Transportation Logistic Execution IMG   Define transportation Router determination  Route Transportation Functions zones
Use the standard transportation zone depending on the route so as for the example use 0000000003 - Southern Region
7) Maintain country or transportation zone for shipping points
 Logistic Execution IMG   Route determination  Route  Basic Transportation Functions Transportation  Maintain country and transportation zone for shipping point
Shipping point be ASH1 and route as 0000000003 which is assigned to country India
8) Maintain route determination:
Logistic ExecutionIMG   Route determination Route  Basic Transportation Functions  Transportation  Maintain route determination
Country of departure: India
Departure Zone: 0000000003
Country of destination: India
Destination Zone: 0000000003
And enter the datau2019s needed like shipping condition 01, etc.
Maintain Transportation relevance for shipping point, sales document type and delivery types.
9) Now create shipping types
IMG   Define shipment Shipments  Transportation Logistic Execution types
Copy the standard 0001 and make it to AFIL
10) Define and assign traffic zones through T-Code: T_76 (or) thru menu as follows
IMG   Define Basic functions  Shipments cost  Transportation Logistic Execution and assign tariff zones
Copy the standard and make it to FABTARIFF and assign our transportation planning point as ATP1, ATP2 assign tariff zone to every particular transportation planning point
11) Define and assign pricing procedures
Shipments Transportation  Logistic Execution IMG   define and assign pricing Price control  Pricing cost  procedures
Copy the standard shipping cost pricing procedure SDFC00 to FBSC01
12) Assign purchasing data:
 Logistic Execution IMG   Assign purchasing data Settlement  Shipments cost Transportation
13) Assign transportation planning point to shipping condition, purchase organization, purchasing group and to plants.
14) Define Automatic G/L account determination:
 Transportation  Logistics Execution IMG   Automatic G/L Account Determination Settlement Shipment Costs
Or through T-code: OMWB
Use G/L account 614000 as used in standard
15) Automatic determination of CO assignments:
IMG   Automatic Settlement  Shipment Costs  Transportation Logistics Execution Determination of CO Assignments
Or T-code: OKB9
16) Maintain shipping point address.
 Logistics Execution  Definition Enterprise Structure  Define, copy, delete, check shipping point
17) Creating G/L account centrally.
Financial AccountingAccounting  Master Records  General Ledger 
Individual Processing Centrally
Or through T-Code: FS00
18) Enter the G/L account 614000 to the company code AFIL
19) Create transportation condition records:
 Shipment cost  Transportation  Master data Logistic Execution   createPrices
Or thru T-code: TK11
Enter condition type FB00 that is freight condition type, which is used as standard in the shipping cost pricing procedure.
Enter the price and save it
Process:
1. The system determines the pricing procedure for the shipment cost item-using transportation planning point, service agent and shipment cost item category
2. Calculation Basis
3. Condition Record
4. Access sequence.
For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.
You use Transportation Planning to group pending deliveries into shipments and then to perform the shipments.
The outbound delivery documents contain routes that the system calculates in route determination, and a transportation planning date for the delivery.
Dynamic transportation planning is responsible for grouping together outbound deliveries into shipments that have at least the same route, visit plan type and the same transportation planning date.
The following restrictions can be taken into account for a shipment in Dynamic Transportation Planning:
u2022 Weight
u2022 Volume
u2022 Variable capacity
u2022 Number of stops
u2022 Maximum duration
u2022 Loading units

You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue
I hope this will help you,

  • Post Bank Charges as an AR invoice

I would like to know if there is a standard process for the following
    A. Post Bank charges (eg. Wire transfer fees) for a vendor
    B. Create an AR invoice for the aforementioned charge
    C. Manual or automatic clearing of the AR invoice

    Hi Raghu,
Draft number will not be unique for market documents such as A/R Invoice.  What benefits will you get to keep that number?
When the Invoice got approved, a new number will be assigned. Please explain the reason why you need that number in the first place.
If you really need that number, you can always using query to find it out.
    Check this thread:
Draft AP Service invoice report with G/L codes
Although that refers to AP invoice, AR invoice will have the exactly same logic with different table names only.
    Thanks,

  • Automatic derivation of service tax (derived flow) flow during the posting of charges through FWBS in Security Module.

    Hi
Case: Automatic derivation of service tax (derived flow) flow during the posting of charges through FWBS in Security Module.
I am trying  to post the charges using Manual Posting FWBS but system not generating (automatically)  derived flow for the service tax flow on charges.
I have done below mentioned  steps for configuration:
Define the derivation procedure and Rules.
Assign the update type to the function of security account management.- Define update type fo manual posting.
    Kindly advise.
    Regards

    Hi,
The definition of "Define Derivation Procedures and Rules" for derived flows are only taken into account during transaction management, deriving one flow type from origin flow type. This customizing does not have effect for FWBS. You may check the below customizing:
    1) Transaction Manager > Securities > Master Data > Product Types > Define Company Code-Dependent Settings for the Product Type: mark the indicator "Generate taxes" in Settings for tax generation.
    2) Transaction Manager > Securities > Position Management  > Securities Account Management > Define Tax Rates.
Further you may consider the implementation of BAdI TPM_TAX_CALCULATION (please see note 1159408) to calculate the tax depending on your requirements. Note: the above BAdI is called only in the case the required settings are done in 'Define Tax Rates' in the Customizing.
    Best regards,
    Jasmine

  • Any UserExit while Posting Shipment cost?

    Dear All,
SD transportation/shipment cost integration with MM-Account Payable.
    Process:
    1. VA01 - create sales order
    2. VL01n - create Delivery
    3. VL02n - PGI
    4. VT01n - create Shipment
    5. VI01 - create shipment cost doc.
Here  PO will get generated automatically. For that PO, a service entry sheet is created for every L.R no given by Transport vendor. Then MIRO is posted for the service entry sheet.Payment is done against that.
But my client's requirement is that normally transporter will have contract with the company.  Transporters supply to various Customer place and raises the bill for every L.R no.
In case of Transporteru2019s freight bills settlement, vendor invoice posting should be L.R no wise which is captured in Shipment
L.R no wise tracking is required for Transporteru2019s payment.
I understand that there is no SAP STD integration of LR number of shipment doc with vendor Incoming Invoice posting. But Vendor invoice can be posted for multiple POs.
When shipment document is created, the system will generate PO automatically in the background. L.R number is to be captured and should be passed on to PO doc through USER EXIT.
Hence I request you to  kindly reply USER EXIT available for Shipment doc. so that the customization (development) can be done in transporteru2019s (vendor) payment L.R No. wise.
Please reply your view in this regard.

  • How to post Freight Charge in INbound INVOIC Idoc? (MM Invoice Verif)

    Hi Folks,
Would like to post an inbound invoice(810) IDoc  that has multiple line items that may or may not have variances(quantity, price, etc.). MM Logistics Invoice verification is the process used for posting our invoices for raw materials. We would like for the line item variances to continue to post to the PPV account. Our problem is freight. Freight in this instance is in the header of the IDOC(segment E1EDK05). For example, we create a purchase order with 3 line items for $100.00 each totaling $300.00 for the purchase order. We receive an EDI Invoice for $345.00 which contains a $45.00 charge in the header for freight. We would like for the freight to be posted to the appropriate account. Currently the $45.00 difference in P/O total and Invoice total is being posted to the PPV account. Your helpis appreciated!
What if Freight charge is populated as Line item in the inbound invoic idoc. Will the inbound program allow this kind of posting??
    Throw some light experts.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Yes, you can include the freight cost in line item as well but that would not be advisable. Why don't you include Fright Cost in your pricing procedure ??? Do check the following link

  • How to post unloading charges

    Hai
    My requirement is
    We have two vendors
    1.P.O vendor
    2.Unloading Vendor
    Both dont have any relation.
we dont know the unloading charges at the time of creating the  P.O
We pay the unloading vendor the unloading charges at the time of Goods Receipt.
We want to pay the P.O amount to the P.O vendor and Unloading charges to Unloading vendor.
The unloading charges need to be added to the material cost.
    How do we do this?
Some say, do it using unplanned delivery costs in MIRO, if we do that the unloading charges are paid to the P.O vendor which is not requirement.Instead it should go to Unloading vendor.
    Some one help me

    Hi,
Create a condition type for your unloading charges in your Pricing procedure,,Now while creating PO go do the conditon select the detailed view and change the defaulting vendor that is PO vendor to your unloading vendor, then while receiving goods ammend the value in the PO and do GR so that it will added to material price .Now while doing MIRO, you can select planned delivery cost and post the vendor invoice.

  • Australia Post Shipping Charges

    Hi all,
If I use the Aust Post Standard shipping option, it tends to round up the $ eg If I select the standard $7.20 postal charge, it displays as $7.21 on the invoice. Has anyone had this issue and managed to find a work-around? Shipping is a pain overall but it would be nice to get it right.
    Thanks

    Hi again,
so the rounding error was (so far as I can tell) because I hadn't set up product weights. Oops. With product weights in, the pricing now seems to work correctly.
In the process of that however I've now learned that Australia Post has a weight limit of 22kg per parcel, and BC doesn't seem to have a way to assign weights to create a parcel, or the capacity to get quotes for more than one parcel. This effectively means that you are unable to process any order with a total weight of more than 22kg if you wish to use the inbuilt Australia Post freight options. I have contacted customer service, whose work around is to make all items Buy Now only. Which doesn't quite cut it for us (an online liquor store), especially given our cases are roughly 16kg each. So if anyone has a solution or work around, let me know. I've got myself an API key for Auspost with a view to trying to do the integration myself, but in all honesty this is well and truly over my paygrade.

  • Telling the difference between recalled and post-recall charging adapter.

I bough an OEM charging adapter on Ebay. Great price, but I'm worried it's just the older one with a green dot painted on.
The reason I think that is that I noticed the the two prongs on the recalled adapter are straight, whereas the post-recall ones are tapered at the ends.
This one has a green dot that looks like it was dabbed on and the two prongs are straight.
Is there any other way to distinguish between the two? Such as a model number or anything?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Simon.

Well, I was worried because the dot can easily be faked. I guess a better question would be do all older adapters have straight squared prongs and all new adapters have tapered prongs? Because mine has a faint green dot with a painted on appearance and squared prongs. I just want to make sure I didn't pay for a forgery that could potentially become a shock/fire hazard. Again, it was purchased on eBay.
    Thanks,
    Simon.

  • SMS for Post shipment statuses

    HI,
We are trying to build a SMS functionality for customer orders that will keep the customers informed about where their goods are currently until the goods reach the customer. I wanted to know general thoughts from people who might have implemented this feature for their clients/organizations.
I basically want to know how was this feature implemented: which system was receiving events from carriers, were those events getting stored any where, was SAP (or whichever ERP) doing the job of receiving event information, what was the overall delay in sending the SMS?
We are at the stage of architecting a solution for this and wanted to know how others might have handled this.
PS: This may not be a SAP SD question per se but since SAP consultants might have worked on such functionalities, I posted this question here.

dear,  this is a really big question...you need to search SDN forum for similar scenario..
from SD point of view it is an 'output type' task, so your config place might be t-code V/30
It is just a small part of all process)
    good luck!
