Posting invoices in F-43 where items have different VAT codes

Hi,
I am not sure whether I am in the correct forum so just boot me into the correct one if I guessed incorrectly.
I have to start by saying I have almost no FI knowledge and it seems no-one in the business has enough FI applications knowledge. I am thus flying blind.
So while the company I am used to working in has MM integration which makes things a lot easier, they set up a sister company where they only want FI.
The sister company is located in UK and I set up tax codes for them
0%, 17.5% and the other 0%.
Our finance team advised them to use f-43 to enter the invoices, attach the vat code and away they go.
The problem comes when some items on the actual invoice has 17.5% and some have 0%. This means the vat % on the total varies.
They are requesting the ability to override the % or the vat value, but still have the invoice recorded with a VAT code so that they can run VAT reports.
I am sure that there must be SAP standard ways to solve this, but I don't know yet where to look and I don't have enough time to really start from scratch.
Any help will be useful.

Hi Charl,
What ever you  are asking is against the procedure.... System has to calculate the VAT amount based on the stated percentage....
So you can not chagne the VAT % or VAT value while posting the transaction.... But what you can do is to change the Tax base amount....
When you are posting the invoice, system automatically takes the invoice value as bais for tax calculation, but one can change the Tax base value. So if user changed that value, system calculates the VAT amout on the modified base....
In this way you can change the VAT amount....
Thanks  & Regards

  • "Account Assignment objects have differing company codes"

    Hi,
We have parked the document through T.Code : MIR7 & now we want to post the same using the correct GL A/c.
When we try to post the document we are getting error like "Account Assignment Objects have differing Company Codes"
    Can you please help me
    Thanks
    Ravi kumar

Please check in the document if it contains diferrent account assignments like both cost center and internal order. In this case both cost center and order must belong to same company code.
If you find the document fine, then solution is to change the error to warning using T Code OBA5 and application area KI (I assume). You should be seeing application area as part of your error message number which is usually first 2 characters.

  • Create new billing document if delivery line items have different UOM

    Hello,
I have a requirement to create different billing documents if the line items in my delivery has different UOM.In my case if delivery is completely ok billing documents are automatically generated.
How to do so what logic needs to be build. Please guide.
    Regards,

    Hi
    Answer is pure assumption
You can try to implement VOFM Routine
    Data transfer -> Billing documents
Check the Routine 351, you can copy the same and modify as per your requirement.
I think you need to modify VBRK-ZUKRI field, during creation of Billing document.
I suggest to take help from Functional consultant on this

  • Question re: moving iTunes library to new computer where files have different file path?

    Hi everyone-
I just got a new laptop and need to transfer my iTunes library to the new computer.
On my old computer, the hard drive was partitioned into a "C" drive and an "F" drive. The new laptop is just "C."
Since my iTunes library was on the "F" partition on the old laptop, the file path for all the files is going to change when I transfer to the new laptop.
I can find dozens and dozens of articles online about how to move iTunes to a new computer, but none of them seem to address the file path issue.
Does anyone know where I can find detailed instructions on how to make this work?
    Thanks in advance.

    Quit iTunes.
Move the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to the F: drive.
    Hold Shift & launch iTunes.
Select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder you moved to the F: drive.
    Everything should still work fine.
Now go to iTunes prefs > Advanced.
Set the iTunes media folder location to the iTunes folder you just moved to the F: drive.
iTunes menu File > Library > Consolidate library.
This will copy all your media into the iTunes folder (F:\iTunes\iTunes media\ folder)
    Let it finsh.
    Quit iTunes.
Then you can copy the F:\iTunes\ folder to the new computer.
If you copy it to /Music/ folder, just start iTunes and it'll work.
If you copy it elswhere (such as another drive) hold Shift, launch iTunes, select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder.

  • Make changes to auto generated line items when posting invoice thru MIRO?

    Hi All,
My requirement is to make some changes in line items data when posting invoice through MIRO transaction.
I have written a substitution for the same, The issue is that some line items get automaticaly created (i.e inter company posting). I need to make changes to these line items as well but substitution is not being triggered for these auto generated line items. Is there any way by which I can update in these line items as well ?
further do we have any internal table which holds all the line items at runtime....to which I can refer and make the changes. I have searched but could not find one.
Can anybody provide some inputs on this.
    Thanks,
    Lucky.

    Hi Kaushik,
    Thanks for your reply.
I am using BADI INVOICE_UPDATE but here we will not be having line items which are auto generated.
When we do inter company posting, line items are automatically created and these are not avaliable in the BADI. I am not sure if we can trap these line items any where.....the possible alternative which I can think of is to use memory reference and modify the internal table which holds all the items but unfortunately I am not able to find any such internal table to refer to at run time ...have u got any idea on this?
    Thanks,
    Lucky.

  • Post Invoice for Service Entry with many Service line item-MM-LIV

    Dear All,
I have a problem to post Invoice for Service Entry with many Service line item. The problem is as follow:
I have created 1 Service Entry which has 5 Service line item in it. Three of the service line item are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT), the others aren't. Then, i wanted to post Invoice for the Service Entry, however, it just display 1 item which amount in total. How can i segregate each service line item in Service Entry thus i can post Invoice for all Service line item with subject to VAT and all service item with not subject to VAT, if just 1 Service Entry created for it ?
    Please help me.
    Thank You

    Hi Ganda,
If you mark the 'service based invoice verification' checkbox in your PO item, your service items will be in your invoice as seperate invoice lines. Then you can modify the taxcodes on service item level.
    Kind regards, Dick Hendriks.

  • Wether can invoice have with two different VAT rates, 16%

    Dear SDN team,
I have a requirement like a invoice should have two different VAT rates.
    Situation is below:
A rebate agreement is created and it was settled partially and final settlement is also carried out.
Rebate agreement nº  XXXXXXXX, with a validity period between the 01.05.2010 until 31.07.2010. This rebate agreement created the credit memo XXXXXXXXX with the VAT rate of 18%.
Mean time the VAT rate was changed from 1st July from 16% to 18%.
There are invoice created in the first half and others belonging to the second half.  Invoice created during the First Half it was created the VAT value with 16% (Before July)and the Invoice created with the Second Half it was created with 18% (After July1st).
But customer request is to have an invoice with two different VAT rates, 16% and 18%. However, the invoice only takes into account the 18%.
And i have suggested the below resolution - But user still needs to have two different VAT rates in one invoice for the line item this is for the have a legal precept which force me to have a different VAT rates depending on the original invoice date
Please let me advice how to resolve this issue.
Looking forward for your favorable reply.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jana
    Suggested Solution:
But having two different VAT rates in one single invoice or credit note is not possible at all.
Further if you would liked to have different VAT rates for the two separate ivoices - This can be done by doing the Rebate agreement with partial settlement for the First half that is before 30.06.2010 and final settlement after 01.07.2010. By doing this rebate agreement will have two different invoices created with two different VAT rates.  But now this is not possible for the RA where it is done with final settlement.
So, You can not have two different VAT rate in one single invoice.

    Dear,
In order to solve this issue with wrong VAt rates I propose you to proceed as follow:
    1) Cancel the CN (Credit Note)
    2) In the CMR (Credit Memo Request) set the tax classification of the materials with wrong VAT % to 0 (inside the CMR in item-billing document).
    3) Maintain for the access sequence of MWST a higher access than the normal one for tax classification 0 with the old tax percentage (E.g.: 16% in your case)
    4) Determine a new pricing for the CMR (via menu path: Edit > New pricing document)
At this stage your items will have some 18% and some 16% of VAT. When you create the CN those percentages will be kept.
If you are satisfied with the result it is now a matter of making sure the program that prints your invoice is mentioning the different VAT rates of the items. As you didn't specify anything about this point, I seize the opportunity to advice you about. No matter of the type of print program you are using (SAP script, PDF or Smartforms), you need TO BE SURE that when the CN is created (with two different types of VAT %) also your PRINTOUT is properly created mentioning the two different rates and relative values.
If not printed correctly because you did not foresee to have different percentages it is easy to solve it with a programmer.
In case of questions or doubts do not hesitate to post back your answer.

  • More than one VAT code on one line item?

    Hello,
    Running ECS SRM 5.0.
Is it absolutely impossible to set more than one VAT code on one order line in a SC or PO?
Can this be acomplished by using a user exit or anything?
This demand comes from a public sector company which pays different VAT dependent on what they use as account assignment. In some orders when split account assignment is used, it might be two different VAT codes on the same line.

    Hi
Which SRM version are you using ?
As far as i know, this is standard SRM functionality as it not feasible to have multiple VAT codes against one line item.. This is not possible .. Please confirm the same with SAP by creating a Customer OSS message.. Do let me know...
However this is possible by making the code as per your business requirments using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.. However, since i have not tried this.. You need to try this yourself..
Hope this will answer your query..

  • Creating a central DC for plants that have mutliple company codes

    Hi,
We are looking to consolidate all of our distribution from 5 manufacturing plants (which all have different company codes) to one central distribution center in a single company code.   Has anyone had any experience with this scenario?  We will need to turn on warehouse management at the central DC and have been told that any plants connected to a warehouse in WM, have to be all in the same company code.

    Karen,
We are looking to consolidate all of our distribution from 5 manufacturing plants (which all have different company codes) to one central distribution center in a single company code. Has anyone had any experience with this scenario?
    Yes
We will need to turn on warehouse management at the central DC
Presumably this is for reasons other than the consolidation.  Using or not using WM will have no impact on company codes.  From what little I know about your business model change, there is no reason for you to use WM (other than the additional functionality, which will intrinsically improve warehouse efficiency).
and have been told that any plants connected to a warehouse in WM, have to be all in the same company code.
This is not a SAP limitation!  There may, however, be business reasons why you need to do this.
A Distribution Center is not the same as a Warehouse in SAP.  A DC is a special kind of plant.  Plants are assigned to company codes, and the ownership of the goods in this plant are generally held by that one company code.
As Jurgen mentioned, a SAP Warehouse can encompass many plants, with many storage locations, each of which may belong to several company codes.  WM doesn't care.
Storage locations are members (subsets) of plants.  A given storage location will always be connected to a single plant, and the inventory of all storage locations in a given plant will be owned by the company that owns the plant.
From your short list of requirements, I believe that your logistics model should be to ship the product from your originating plant(s) to the DC (plant).  The traditional way to do this is via Stock Transport orders.  STOs can be intercompany or intracompany, required financial documents and postings can be configured to meet your company's needs.  Other methods are also possible.
You mentioned that your DC would be one company code.  Therefore, the sales orders will be placed against one plant (the DC).  Delivery splitting would not be an issue.
Now, I notice in subsequent responses you seem to be thinking that you will ship from multiple company codes (plants).  This is contrary to your original requirement list.   As asked by Jurgen, where do you wish to consolidate your stock and where do you wish to consolidate your shipments?
    Best Regards,
    DB49
