Powerpivot - "Column F51 missing from rowset"

Hi,
I've set up a powerpivot not long ago from an existing Excel sheet and there's an issue that keeps coming up randomly. When I refresh the pivot that feeds off from the other Excel sheet some of my pivots (depending of the source tab) are returning an empty
result, and when I check the connections for that particular tab an error message pops up saying: "The 'F51' column does not exist in the rowset"
This is the third time this pops up, the source file is edited by multiple people but the column in question is out of range (not edited by anybody) and after some time the pivot starts to work on its own, without any intervention.
I've been on the web to try to see what could possibly cause this but so far haven't found any solutions.
Any help, advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi，
The error seems occurred when you refreshed the
PowerPivot from the other Excel sheet failed. Did the error message always pointed to "F51" column?  What the data type of "F51" column? If it was, please try to cut it to the other sheet and
test. (Note: Backup it before modify)
If it worked fine, please try to check the data source.
If I misunderstand something, please try to upload (Use SkyDrive) a sample of your data source included the F51. I'll test it.

    Thanks Gary - I tried it on 11.2.2.2.0 64bit on Linux x86/64 but it again succeeded for me. That's probably due to my mocked up base table versus your real world definition.
    Would you be able to open an SR so we can investigate this properly? We'd need:
    ttCapture off the instance (so we get the correct DSN definition)
    base table and indexes SQL definition - a ttSchema taken off the datastore would suffice.

  • Is Lock Titles / Rows / Columns really missing?

    Please tell me it is not so. Is Lock Titles / Rows / Columns really missing from numbers? I'm not trying to make giant sheets, but even a page full doesn't fit on the screen on my MacBook so I need to see the headers. Even my good ole AppleWork did this well.

    Dan,
    As a new Numbers user, and an old user of conventional spreadsheets from day-one, I felt as you do and submitted feedback to Apple about spreadsheet screen-splitting. That was over a year ago before I began building spreadsheets the Numbers way. Now I wouldn't bother submitting feedback on that item. Each new spreadsheet of mine has more tables per sheet and the average table size is a fraction of what I used to make. The way I build spreadsheets now, locking the first row is something that rarely enters my mind, and if I'm working in Print View with Header Rows and Columns, my titles are always on the screen anyway.
    But what if I have really long tables and don't like to see them broken up with page margins? Well, that brings up a Numbers issue far more worthy of feedback. When tables become that large, Numbers becomes so lethargic that you will look for another application to solve your problem.
    That's my perspective, for whatever comfort it may bring you.

  • Artists missing from column browser

    Today I noticed some artists are missing from the artist list in the column browser in iTunes 11.0.2
    No idea why some artists are there and others are not. They do appear in the artist view.

    Sure, you can select multiple tracks and use CTRL-I to *Get Info*, then on the Options tab set *Part of a Compilation* to No. You might also find my previous post on Grouping Tracks Into Albums useful.

    Suresh You need to talk to your basis consultant to increase the size(I forgot the technical name of this size, sorry).

  • Workflow status is missing from the List after make some change in workflow

    Hi,
    We have this strange situation where the workflow status is missing from List views. Here is the situation:
    Now if I check the All List view of this list, I can see these workflows that shows the status of the workflow - say "In progress", "Completed" etc.
    When i make some workflow modification and after i save and publish. The workflow status in List will missing.
    This issue happening  is intermittent.
    Why does this happen?
    Any workaround/findings for the above scenario are much appreciated.

    Hi JWei,
    The workflow status column gets created when you first create the workflow and its first instance runs. The columns gets removed (and disappears from the view) if you delete the workflow or remove all instances of the wf on the list.
    Please check whether you created some lookup columns in this list. If yes, please increase the lookup threshold for that web application in Central Administration.
    Please create a new view which only contains the Title column and Workflow Status column, modify the workflow, check the workflow status column in the new view, compare the result.
    Please create a new list, create a workflow, and test again, compare the result.

    I got to se the exam guide for this,(OCA Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert Exam Guide (Exam 1Z0-047)) by Steve o'hearn in market.
    But it seems that syllabus of the exam is modified on 15th september 2014; and newly added topics are NOT present in the exam guide.
    Below are the objectives and topics I feel are missing from the book.

    Use the SQL row limiting clause**
    Create queries using the PIVOT and UNPIVOT clause**
    Use pattern matching to recognize patterns across multiple rows in a table**
    Displaying Data from Multiple Tables
    Use the cross_outer_apply_clause**

    Create a lateral inline view in a query**
    Using DDL Statements to Create and Manage Tables
    Truncate tables, and recursively truncate child tables**
    Use 12c enhancements to the DEFAULT clause, invisible columns, virtual columns and identity columns in table creation/alteration**

    Use explicit default values in INSERT and UPDATE statements**
    We can find material on these topicsover internet(in fact I have actually worked on few of these topics already as part of my job.)
    But i prefer referring to book as it helps to understand the scope.
    I just joined the oracle forums,and not sure if I am placing this discussion on correct forum/category.
    A humble request to advice if it is at wroing place.

    Immediate target will be obviously  some PL SQL related test like 1Z0-147.
    BUT what to do after that ?
    In my work experinece so far, I have worked as a developer, senior developer(mainly in maintenace projects , both OLTP and OLAP projects I have worked for.
    that is, small as well as relatively big data volumes.Right from simple DB to DW systems of big enterprise corporation where millions of transactions happen and enter into system each day). I have  also participated in database designing when I worked on project where database was being designed from scratch. so, I am aiming/aspiring for a role something like Designer  or architect roles in the long run.
    I'm glad you found my page useful. I actually recommend 1Z0-144 over 1Z0-147.  The two exams are equivalent in their results, but I feel 144 is the better exam.  Also, 147 was almost retired at one point.  OU backed off, but may put it back on the chopping block at any time.  I wrote an article explaining why I prefer 144 here:

    As to the step after that, 1Z0-146 is the obvious one to gain the PL/SQL OCP.  147/144 will only gain the OCA-level cert.
    If you want to end up as a designer or architect, eventually you must get into database design, which would argue pursuing the DBA track.
    Millions of transactions implies a significant requirement for performance tuning which would argue for the SQL Tuning (1Z0-117) or performance certifications (1Z0-054/1Z0-064).

  • Way to hide "All" Level of a PowerPivot column in Pivottable?

    Is there a way to hide the "All" Level of a PowerPivot column in Pivottable? I am using  attributes where it makes absolutely no sense to add them up and as "All" is the default selection the results are always wrong unless the user
    selects a specific attribute.
    The other option is to use something like a default member in MS AS but I haven't found this feature for a PowerPivot model?

    While non aggregateable values are not supported you can replicate this functionality with a little bit of DAX.
    By changing your aggregate from
    AggregatedValue:=sum([Value])
    To something like
    NonAggregatedValue:=if(DISTINCTCOUNT([Reporting interval])=1;sum([Value]);BLANK())
    You can force PowerPivot to return a blank, or possibly a 0 when a specific reporting interval has not been selected. This does not solve your problem of hiding the “All” values but will stop invalid aggregations from occurring because if it. Below you can
    see how the aggregates of any value involving more than one Reporting interval is suppressed.

  • Desktop missing from "save as" places

    Googling proved impossible, so I hope you can help with this first world problem:
    Let's say you opened an Outlook email attachment, and you're looking at a document in Preview. You want to save it, so you click "Save As". In that initial "Save As" list are shortcuts to common locations, AKA "Places". "Desktop" has gone missing from that list. It's still on the sidebar and everywhere else, but it's disappeared from that little grouping in "Save As".
    Is there any way to get it to show up there?

    Sorry about that. When I attempted to answer earlier today, I was on the wrong computer (one with Snow Leopard OS X 10.6 loaded), so I couldn't confirm that the actions were identical on Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.
    'Desktop' disappears on my computer when I click on the 'Home' icon in the left column of Finder, but reappears in the middle as soon as I click on the 'Desktop' destination in the left column.

  • The columns are missed in Backgroup job in report program

        I have a report program and I  display it by WRITE statement. The total length of the report is about 550, and I set the line-size to 600.     Hi, I'm new to this forum so please put this thread in the right place if I have made a mistake.

    I'm using jre 7 with the latest version.
    I downloaded and wanted to launch a Java based .jar game, which runs perfectly for the other users but my JRE gives the following error:

    On the forum where is the game developed i got the following answer:

    As I have browsed the internet for hours and haven't come up with a solution I'm asking for some help.

    That error seems to indicate that the JNLP file is broken because it is missing the starting starting <jnlp> XML tag; I'll take a guess and just say that it is completely empty. Since it works for other users, apparently somehow when you download it on your computer you end up with a broken file. No idea why, no way for me to know why either. I don't have access to your computer. All I can say is: try in another browser and if that doesn't work, try on another computer. If it works there, well then you may have to face the fact that your computer might need a clean install.
    And PS: this is a Java programming forum, not technical support for whatever game you want to play that just happens to use Java.

  • Downloads missing from dock

    Both the downloads icon and the documents icon are missing from the dock.  I try to drag them from Finder and nothing happens.  Where they should be there are very light grey bars.  This sounds odd, but I think they got pulled below the dock.  Sometime they appear in grey behind the dock but cannot be opened by clicking on them.  How do I get them back.

    (this is not going to solve it but it will help us see what you're saying. can you hit shift+cmd+4 at the same time, the cursor will become crosshairs. now hit space bar. the cursor should become a camera. place this camera on the dock, the dock should be highlighted when doing this, and click the mouse.
    A picture will be saved on your dock, upload that picture here for us to see.
    if you have your dock hidden this will not work, you'll need to right clickt he track where it separates your applications with the trash icon and then right click that go to dock preferences and then uncheck automatically hide and show dock. you can also access these settings in system preferences>dock
    should look something like this (I customized my dock so it won't look exactly like this but it will isolate your dock

    Use NVL or COALESCE:
    NVL (col_a, col_b)
    Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
    Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

    There are a couple of options that I know of to fix the issue.
    One is listed in this thread - https://discussions.apple.com/message/24606478#24606478 - and involves uninstalling iTunes and related components and then re-installing iTunes.  You will need to read the instructions in the thread to see the correct uninstall order.
    Second option is use System Restore to set your system back to a date prior to the iTunes update.  I did this before finding the thread mentioned above.
    Not sure exactly what the problem is but I know, after a search, that MSVCR80.dll was indeed already installed on my computer.
