PR Creation Issue through MD03

Hi,
I have done the necessary settings in MRP1 view of material master for auto generation of PR upto re-order point through MD03 transaction. When I execute MD03, I can see the list of PRs getting generated with "Exception Message" 1. But when I try to display the PRs in ME53N or see in the table EBAN, I cant find those PRs. In ME53N system gives message that the PR does not exist.
When I execute MD01 for the entire plant, I can see the list of PRs getting generated and those PRs i can see in the table as well as in ME53N.
I cant see those PRs which are getting generated through MD03 transaction.
Please suggest.

Hi,
If you are procuring the material with out reference to Make to stock ,Then run MRP in MD01/MD02 . In MD03 reference is required for the material. Please maintain the vendor for the material from the source list . Hope it works. Thanking you.

Dear Azis,
Double Click on the serial no of the Component you will get the inforecord fieldin the Purchasing tab. But this is only for Stock Materials.
Please recheck again your components.

How to re-run output determination after goods issue through idoc

Hello,
i've got a question about output determination. We are currently in a process to automate picking, packing and goods issue through a 3rd party software. The software creates DELVRY03-Idocs including picking, packing and goods issue-information. Picking, packing and goods issue work just find and after submitting the idoc, the delivery is updated as needed.
The problem arises when it comes to printing the shipping document on the printer belonging to the picking station that just processed the delivery. To determine the correct printer, the external software includes the picking station number inside the idoc. A user exit in idoc_input_delivery puts the number (3 digits) into likp-traid. The customizing for using this field inside output determination is complete and seems to be working.
The problem is: as the number of the picking station is not known before goods issue, the LD00 message must not be generated before goods issue. I used the appropriate condition insinde the message scheme, the message is not generated until goods issue is complete. After processing the DELVRY03-Idoc, the message should be found and generated, but it isn't. When i take a look at the delivery after submitting the idoc, goods issue is complete, picking and packing is done - and no sign of an header message of type LD00. First i thought about a misconfiguration inside my customizing for output determination, but when i access the delivery via vl02n (change delivery), output determination seems to be processed again and without making any changes or actions, LD00 is generated and waiting for processing. After saving the delivery, LD00 is processed and the shipping document is printed exactly where it should be.
So, as my customizing seems to work and everything else around idoc processing doesn't make any problems either, i conclude that, after processing the idoc, R/3 just needs a little kick to re-run the output determination, find the now fitting condition for LD00, find the appropriate entry in the condition table and print the document.
I already tried report rsnast00, but this one just seems to run already created messages.
Any ideas how to automate this little "kick in the butt"?

I'm working on a similar issue with ws_delivery_update. I'm not using the IDOC as you are, but I'm using the function in a program of mine to PGI the delivery, but the output isn't being added to the delivery. I've tried to run the function twice as you suggested, but that doesn't seem to work. Do you have any suggestions or ideas on things to try?

10.6.7 - general pdf creation issues?

I wondered whether anyone else had run into this issue after updating to 10.6.7 when using pdfs created by Preview - perhaps related to the pdf/font issue.
If it is generally happening, then the 10.6.7 pdf-font issue has an even larger
impact than previously described:
1. Open a pdf document in Preview
2. Select a region and save to clipboard
3. Save as a new pdf file
4. Then try importing it as a "Picture" into any of the new Office 2011 apps: Word, PPT, etc.
This crashes my office 2011 apps (latest version, 14.02) But NOT any earlier version of Office (2008. etc.), which may not do as much pdf checking.
Before the 10.6.7 upgrade (ie, 10.6.6), this never happened with Office 2011.
Acrobat complains when opening the Preview-created pdfs about 'missing fonts', so I suspect some sort of pdf creation issue.
Any fixes (besides the previously suggested one of downgrading to 10.6.6)
If it's a real bug (not just local to my system), then it's a more far-reaching one than previously described.

That is wrong because it only involves OpenType Postscript fonts.
The only solution offered so far is to "downgrade by doing Archive & Install" and
then re-applying each Combo Upgrade, starting with 10.6.3 up to 10.6.6.
You wouldn't have to do that either. That is the point of a Combo update. You only need to apply the one you want. It includes all of the previous updates.

Hello,
Remedy and other similar products are the tools which track the Action / Time taken for resolving a call. Normally, once an issue is reported, that will be recorded in a tool with an estimated fix time. If the call is not fixed / actioned within the estimated time, it go as breached.
The analyst need to update the call status in the tool. They will need to update the actions taken, call notes ..etc. Once the issue is fixed, you may set the call status as resolved. Once you set the status as resolved, the user who riased the issue will get an e-mail. They will confirm whether the issue is actually closed or not. Depends upon their cconfirmation, the status will be set to Closed or again Reopen.
This is a typical helpdesk tool scenario.

Windows 2012 R2 RDS license server issuing device CALs
5 Citrix farms (PS4, PS4.5, XA5, XA6, and XA6.5)
Symptoms
- RDS device CALs issued through the PS4/Windows 2003 R2 and PS4.5/Windows 2003 R2 servers show the Citrix server name in the Window 2012 R2 RD license manager console instead of the workstation name (See below).
- The PS4/Windows 2003 R2 and PS4.5/Windows 2003 R2 servers are issuing a large number of device CALs to workstations. For example, we have two PS4/Windows 2003 R2 servers that publish a single application. There are 20 users
of the applications with dedicated workstations that should all have a device CAL, but everyday I see device CALs being issued from these servers (See below).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you find any Error\Event Id for this case?
From the description it appears that there is some misconfiguration for redirecting the server during load balancing the device CAL among the server and that’s why device is getting misplaced. You can please relook at configuration for License server with following

Lync Sign in issue through Proxy

Hi All,
Not to be confused when said Lync Sign in issue through Proxy as it is unlikely that this is an issue with the proxy settings. Find it out yourself from the behavior below.
It is in fact a weird issue that I have come across.
Overall there are almost 30 Lync Users accounts.
And they are trying to authenticate to external Lync Server.
28/30 works fine through the proxy. Except for 2 user accounts.
The proxy settings are same for all the users and no individual configurations set.
Now, here is the interesting part. Go out of the network and authenticate this 2 user account to any of the workstation which is not going through Proxy, it works. Come back to the workstation which is going through the proxy and try again, it will work
now.
Now, I am interested in finding how exactly does Microsoft authenticates their Lync users. And what are the step by step procedure of User Authentication for Lync service. And why is this happening?
Just to add some more point here, these happens only with 2 specific accounts.
And if you try using these 2 accounts on any of the 28 working workstations, which is going through the proxy, the first time, it would still fail to get authenticated.
Can someone put a highlight on these behaviors? is there any user specific settings on the lync server?

You can enable Lync client logging to collect the log file to check the sign in process for these two users can’t sign in externally.

Session creation issues with DS3.2

We are using BODS 3.2 for development. We are aware that a newer version of DS has been released quite a long time ago but due to some reasons we are still using DS 3.2.
We are facing some session creation issues. We are using Teradata and Oracle as source and extracting\updating data using some SQLs in script tasks. SQLs are targeting huge amount of data. We executed a job and checked on the servers, sessions were created on the databases. Job kept on executing for long time and was not getting completed, there was no error also. After waiting so long, I checked on Database server and found that session was lost for these SQLs on Database servers. We are able to create a successful connection using Data Stores.
Please suggest something, Why the sessions are not getting lost on the database servers?.

There must be some common factor why both phones are having the same problem.
With the 10.2.1.537, the only problem I had was a few contacts merged and surnames were repeated.
I haven't noticed any difference with the latest upgrade.
Maybe a security wipe and restore contacts and email then one app at a time.

I bought a series pass and unfortunately epsiode 1 didn't download at all. I was watching the downloads and restarting once they stopped as I allow multiple downloads at athe same time

It sounds like you may have hidden it, in which case you should be able to unhide it : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases. (You can't turn off the hiding of items.)
But you should be keeping and maintaining a backup copy of all of your downloads and not relying on being able to redownload them - any item could be removed from the store by the rights-holders at any time, if they do then you won't be able to redownload them (nor will be able to do redownload items if you move countries).

Site Creation Issue.

We had a user report a site creation issue with their site. They had been able to create sites with no problem up to this point. But now, when attempting to crate a site they get an error "User can't be found". But if they create a blank site

Did you mean create site collections in the CA?
Did the users have admin permission or other permission? You can use the admin account to check whether it works.
To narrow down the issue, you can use other web application to check whether it works.
Maybe the web application had been corrupted.
You can also check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS

Custom infotype creation issue

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to create a custom infotype based on certain conditions. But there is a problem while saving data in the infotype. The infotype is populated from another infotype automatically through dynamic actions.
But while saving the data for the first time it happens as per the requirements and data gets saved properly.
But when the data is saved for the second time for the same pernr , the previous data is over written even though the new record starts with a different begin data.Also i have created the infotype with time constraint '1'.
can you please let me know if i am missing anything while creating or is this a logic issue .? all the logic has been coded in the flow logic part of the screen.
also if i dont save the data in the infotype it does not pop up any message like 'data not saved' which usually happens with every infotype. Please clarify me on this as well...

Repetitive PDF creation issue in PREVIEW (Terminal option to not save?)

i have a real annoying issue in Preview which i generally find to be a model of efficiency. it is for pdf creation and goes like this:
i scan 50 images into Preview in order to create a pdf to send to someone.
i rotate them and make sure they are properly ordered and oriented.
i select them all and go to print pulldown menu item
then i select the pdf button at the bottom lower left (this is redundant and would be really nice to eliminate by providing a PRINT TO PDF pulldown)
anyway, then i create the pdf and i try to CLOSE OUT of Preview.
however - since i don't need the images any more i am not MANUALLY SAVING ALL THESE IMAGES by CLICKING SAVE on each of the 50 images (this is a pain too and would really be nice to fix)
/instead/ what i have to do is to click DELETE on all 50 images in order to simply close out of Preview after having saved my PDF.
is there a better way to do this and if so what is it.
also, why isn't preview smart enough to not act like adobe software and to give me a "Don't Save All" or "Delete All" button instead of giving me carpal tunnel confirming this on each image.
is there a Yes <> No switch in Terminal that will turn this off??

You can open the PDF in Acrobat and save to Acrobat 4 compatibility, either through optimize or preflight. I would also ask the client why they want Acrobat 4 compatibility.

Material master creation error through LSMW

I have a problem with creation material master through LSMW with object type BAPI. I use below import methods
Business Object BUS1001006
Method                SAVEDATA
Message Type    MATMAS_BAPI
Basic Type          MATMAS_BAPI03
Material number is configured length of 12 with leading zeros.
In my text file material number is given as XXXXXXXXXXX which is 11 digits. When I start IDoc processing it issues an error message u201CMG019 the numeric material number & was transferred without leading zerosu201D.
Then I add 0 to material number in the file (it becomes 0XXXXXXXXXXX) and run IDOC processing it issues same error message again.
How I can resolve this issue?

Notification printing on creation -issues -reg

Hi,
to address the requirement of automatic notification printing on creation we have done some developments .
where we have to mention that for the transaction IW21 ...print shoudl be triggered on notification creation
we have copied the standard output type to Z and then assigned to the notification type M2
but when print is coming its coming default one only , its not picking the one which we customized with the required paper size
any inputs ?

here we have given output device defined by us
4. Now where i have to give that for teh transaction IW21 when notification is created and saved print should come ?
5 If i go to existing notification through IW23 and try to take print of it in the preview only standard 1020 , 1030 are coming for selection
why 1031 defined and assigned to M2 notification type is not coming there to pick ?
6. finally please let me know how to know the automatic print coming for the notification on creation picking which shop paper

Multiple iDvd creation issues

Howdy,
I've got multiple questions I've been meaning to address for awhile but I'm always forgetting so while I'm sitting here at work thinking about them I'm just gonna throw them all into one big post (I never tend to think about this stuff when I'm actually at home in front of the computer). Any help will be appreciated.
First let me note that I'm using one of the flat panel 17" imacs. It's like 3 years old now but it's served me very well so far. I've added more memory & an external hard drive & am using iLife 6.
DVD-R:
The only dvds (besides movies & the like) that the superdrive recognizes are DVD-R's. Has anyone ever come up w/ a way to use DVD+Rs or better on these old machines?
Continuous Play Music Video DVDs:
My goal is to make music video mix dvds. This means I want to burn music vids on a dvd that can be accessed separately or you can just pop the dvd in & click play & it will run through the whole dvd. Problem is I haven't found any kind of continuous play option in idvd. So the obvious choice is to convert all of the videos into one long movie in iMovie (broken into chapters) but of course I've been unsuccesful at this. Even though I've converted the videos into the proper format (arrived at through research on this forum) the videos don't load into imovie correctly...at least 3 out the 4 I tried didn't (tried multiple times on each). It would condense the video into like a quarter of the screen & leave everything else black space. So anyone got any suggestions on how I can get this done?
SD on Widescreen formatted disc:
I have burned a music video DVD a little while back & ended up w/ something interesting. I formatted the disc for widescreen assuming the standard def(4:3) videos would all just be letterboxed on the side but the result was that some were & some weren't (in fact most weren't). This means they are stretched out to widescreen. This isn't a huge deal since I can use the tv itself to letterbox them but still I'd like to know if there is a way to deal with this in the creation of the disk. Any suggestions?

DVD-R media is actually your best bet compatibility-wise. The only other option would be Double-Layer DVD+R, but that would mean getting an external burner in your case. If your content doesn't exceed, say 90-100 min. I would stick with the DVD-R.

You might have converted to the correct format, but obviously the sizes don't match. DV video is 720x480 (NTSC) or 720x576 (PAL), so if you want to fill the screen, you'll have to convert to the proper size. On the other hand, if you have some web clips at 320x240, up-rezzing them might degrade the quality to a point that the whole thing becomes unwatchable.

If you want to burn a widescreen DVD, you'll need to start off with a widescreen project in iMovie. As you have quite mixed footage, the best thing would be to turn on "auto letter & pillarboxing" in preferences. This will preserve the correct aspect ratio of your clips.

Widescreen DVDs created in iDVD 6 are set to "auto letterboxing & pan-scan", meaning it depends on the setting of your DVD player how the disc will be displayed - but as you found out, you can easily toggle the view option on your remote.
If you want to force letterboxing, you can re-edit your final DVD with a little app called myDVDedit (http://www.mydvdedit.com/).
