Pre Build Model in APO for food company

Hi,
I am working in SNP environment using SNP optimizer to schedule 18 months plan for me. However i am not able to get the desired results from the optimize. I am not able to get the desired results due to following reasons :
Capacity constraints
Seasonal nature of bussiness. (75% of my volume ships between September to March and prebuild for the remaining parts of the year)
Mix of high volume and low volume items.
I am not able to replicate the pre build model in the optimizer.
I will really appreciate if any one can guide me to replicate the model in SNP.
Please let me know if you require any further details.
Thanks,
Chintan

Hi,
A program enhancement allows you to exclude the relationship between a product and a reference material from the transfer.
The prerequisite for this solution is that this "reference material for materials that can be packaged in the same way" is not required in SCM and is not relevant for the transfer.
Procedure:
Start transaction SMOD. Display the components of enhancement CIFMAT01. On the following screen, double-click function module EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 (user exit '001' of function group 'CMAT', program SAPLCMAT). In the program editor that appears, double-click include ZXCIFU01. You may have to create the inlcude again if necessary. Implement the system response you want in this include (follow the sample coding given below).
Example:
DATA: LS_MATKEYX TYPE  CIF_MATKYX.
LOOP AT CT_CIF_MATKEYX INTO LS_MATKEYX.
  if link_to_RMATP_needed = 'X'.
    continue.
  endif.
   clear LS_MATKEYX-EXTRMATP.
   MODIFY CT_CIF_MATKEYX FROM LS_MATKEYX.
ENDLOOP.

  • Webcenter PS3 pre-build virtual machine question

    Experts,
I have following queries regarding VM for web center
    1) What are the limitation of using pre-build virtual machine for development/testing environment compared to standard installation?
    2) What are the webcenter features not supported by pre-build WC VM but is supported in standard installation?
I am thinking of using pre-build WC VM for development and testing environment. So, want to know the limitation before using it.
    Appreciate any help on this.
    Ashish
P.S - Standard installation is installing DB (using RCU), weblogic & webcenter suite.

The pre build is very good for demonstration purpose. You can do some development on it but i don't think this is recommended.
The pre build machine is just a plain installation with a DB, weblogic and webcenter suite. If you create your own VM with the same software, than there is not much difference between the pre build machine.
If you don't plan on using a real server for your development purpose than you can use the pre build machine. I don't know if it is allowed so maybe you should check this with Oracle. There isn't a real difference between an installation that you will do an the pre build machine to technicaly, you could use it... Licence wise... you should check it with Oracle.

This makes no sense. I can go online to various "photo shop" place and regardless of the OS and computer I am working from I can order a photo album so why can I no longer do this through iPhoto on my MAC?
How do I order my album now? If somebody could please explain as I am going home in 1 month and really wanted to surprise my aging parents with this book.

    Hi VaraPrasad,
    you can try:
    1. https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/swdc
    2. Search for all Categories
    3. type: XI content
then unpack and the easiest way is to import with the file system:

  • Pre-Build requirement for buliding interface

    Hi all,
I need to esablish interface between one Web enabled architecture system and SAP-ISU.
Its front end is Web viewer .application tier is XML over HTTP.
what messages we can handle from this system to XI-SAP-ISU.
Do we need any pre-build requirement?
    Regards,
    venu.

Nothing special is needed. You're just in the perfect situation in which you can even avoid using the Adapter Framework. In fact, sending messages to and receiving messages from the webapp can be done via http plain adapter, which is on XI abap stack. (btw, nothing against AFW, just one component less
For ISU, as you know, you can use whatever you fell right: rfc, idoc or even abap proxies (if you are on was >= 6.20)

  • Office 365 online Sharepoint (Business Premium) - pre-build intranet site that can be installed

    Hello,
Is their any possibility to setup in the new Office 365 online a SharePoint with a pre-build intranet website?
Those options exists in many intranet systems. Example: in Bitrix24 their is possebility to start with a theme for intranet site. The basic theme includes: Several internal departments (Management, IT, Sales, HR ect), tasks by deparment, users groups (by
department) with permissions for each departments, news feed by department ect.
Is their any pre-build option with a simple intranet configuration?
Sometimes it is much easier to configure when using a common simple company structures.
    Thank you

    Hi,
For SharePoint Online backup and restore, there are basically 4 options:
Use the recycle bin and version history.
Use a 3rd party tool for backup and restore (there are several).
Manually backup sites, lists, and libraries (see:
Information about manual migration of SharePoint Online content and
How to back-up an Office 365 SharePoint Online site and data)
Create an Office 365 support request (see:

For more information, you can have a look at the blog:

  • Issue with setting the tag "Bld_localDestDir" in pre-build VI: Project gets saved to previous localDestDir.

    Hey All,
I'm writing a pre-build VI that updates the build destination (and other items, but we're ignoring those for now). This pre-build vi, when run, grabs the Destination Directory from the tag "Bld_localDestDir" and modifies the directory by incrementing a version number.
The issue I'm having is that after the pre-build vi is run, the build continues and puts the executable in the *previous* Destination directory instead of the updated one.
    Example:
Destination Dir = c:\temp\version1   -->   Choose to build the executable   -->   Pre-build VI runs and sets Destination Dir to c:\temp\version2   -->   Build finishes and says "You can locate the build at C:\temp\version1"   -->   Check the build properties, destination dir is C:\temp\version2   -->   build again   -->   Pre-build runs and updates destination to version3   -->   Build finishes and says "you can locate the build at C:\temp\version2"   -->   check build properties, destination dir is C:\temp\version3
And so on and so forth. As you can see, the tag setting is working (as witnessed by the Build Properties being updated). However, it looks like the destination directory for the build is determined and set *before* the pre-build VI is run. This is, in my opinion, not intended behavior.
Here's a snippet of a watered-down version of the code, which still has the issue. I've also attached the full VI, saved for LV2010.
The attached VI will grab the version number of the build, append it to the startup vi's title bar, update the build destinations with a new path that has the version number, and then save the project.
As a final note, I'd prefer to not use a post-build VI to rename the directory that the build is placed in.
    Solved!

Cool, thanks for confirming that I'm not crazy.   And no, I haven't found any documentation concerning this phenomenon.
    > gmart Said:
    > it potentially processes the information and so simply updating values may not have the desired effect
Good to know. I think this should be in the documentation somewhere though, perhaps in the detailed help for the Get/Set Tag invoke nodes for a Build Spec reference.
To fix the issue, I've just made my own "Build Executable" vi that sets the tags before the build is started. It uses the same VI that I attached earlier (confirming that the VI works). Instead of starting the build from the project window and having a pre-build vi execute, I run this stand-alone VI and it builds the app.

  • MIRO - deactivate direct posting to GL / material acct for selected company codes

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to deactive direct posting to G/L and material accounts in MIRO, however, only for selected company codes (this cannot be done for all of them on client level in SPRO->Material Management->Logistic Invoice verification->Incoming Invoice -> Activate direct posting to GL/ Material accounts).
The thing is that for those company codes, MIRO posting has to be made always with Purchase Order Reference.
My idea is to build simple validation rule:
if company code is equal to (SET) and Purchase Order Reference is empty then error message should appear: "Posting without PO reference not allowed"
I was also thinking on creating own layout in MIRO and assign it to clerks which are responsible for posting in those company codes.
Can you advise on that, please?
    Best regards,
    Lukasz

    Hi Tejas,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Answering your questions:
    1. The thing is that these GLs are being posted with other transactions.
    2. My concern is that after the document is parked and while editing user will delete PO reference, it can be any GL account picked in "GL tab" of MIRO transaction. My understanding is that I should put tick on "Post automatically only" on all the GL accounts which users are able to use (correctly or not) in that case.
My aim in this configuration is to restrict those posting in such way that users are not allowed to use them - and this is only in regards to MIRO transaction.

  • Data Model best Practices for Large Data Models

We are currently rolling out Hyperion IR 11.1.x and are trying to establish best practces for BQYs and how to display these models to our end users.
So far, we have created an OCE file that limits the selectable tables to only those that are within the model.
Then, we created a BQY that brings in the tables to a data model, created metatopics for the main tables and integrated the descriptions via lookups in the meta topics.
This seems to be ok, however, anytime I try to add items to a query, as soon as i add columns from different tables, the app freezes up, hogs a bunch of memory and then closes itself.
Obviously, this isnt' acceptable to be given to our end users like this, so i'm asking for suggestions.
Are there settings I can change to get around this memory sucking issue? Do I need to use a smaller model?
and in general, how are you all deploying this tool to your users? Our users are accustomed to a pre built data model so they can just click and add the fields they want and hit submit. How do I get close to that ideal with this tool?
    thanks for any help/advice.

I answered my own question. in the case of the large data model, the tool by default was attempting to calculate every possible join path to get from Table A to Table B (even though there is a direct join between them).
in the data model options, I changed the join setting to use the join path with the least number of topics. This skipped the extraneous steps and allowed me to proceed as normal.
hope this helps anyone else who may bump into this issue.

  • Tax code optional in document type for one company code

    Hello experts,
Is it possible to make tax code optional in a document type only for one company code.  If yes kindly explain me the process in detail.
    Regards,
    P.Krishna Chaitanya.

    Hi
If I understand your requirement correctly  that for a particular document type, the line item should not contain a tax code, while for other Document Types, it should have a tax code. Note, the logic for making tax code optional/mandatory is made through the field tax category in the GL Master and not through the field status. further Build in a validation rule, using a logic as follow:
    BKPF-BLART IN "SET NAME"
    Check BSEG-MSKWZ<> ' '
    Set an Error message
You can also create a subsitituion rule for populating tax code with a blank value if a particular doc type is used.
    BKPF-BLART in 'SET NAME"
    Substitute BSEG-MSKWZ= ' '
You may need to allow tax code as a field to be substituted in the maintainence view of table GB01 using T Code SM30 for boolean class 9

  • How to build a Labview driver for a USB device?

I have purchased a USB Hall probe (a device that measures magnetic fields) and now I need to build a LabVIEW driver for it (the company that sells this device did not build drivers for it, to keep the price down I suppose). The USB device does come with an operating software, but what I need is to control the device using LabVIEW. I have some experience with LabVIEW, but none with building drivers. I don´t really know where to start, so any advice would be helpful.

To do USB in LabVIEW you'll want to get the NI-VISA driver. After you've got VISA, check out a few examples:

Six Things You Need to Know about USB Instrument Control
There are also examples built in to LabVIEW (under Help>>Find Examples to open the NI Example Finder, then under Hardware Input and Output>>VISA)

  • Ant pre-build..xml file is giving error

    Hi
Actually i'm trying to run a tutorial orderbooking on Jdev 10.1.3 (where in i'm using SOA 10.1.3.1. ) This tutorial is of BAM wherein it requires 127.orderbooking tutorial to be deployed normally. once , it got deployed successfully but in BPEL console there was error of wsdl in invoke activity.
For the same i tried fixing the errorr , now it's pointing in pre-build.xml when i deployed it 2nd time. error is
Basedir C:\bb\CreditRatingService does not exist .
i want to know what has to be given for ant dir in prebuild.xml.
    kindly revert back
    regards
    Basedir C:\bb\CreditRatingService does not exist

    One word...make
    Edna the LudditeTwo words: make...s-u-c-k-s.
Not really, just kidding. But I never liked the
sensitivity to tabs, etc. Ant is far better, IMO.
I sure like how file dependencies were more obvious with make. (Of course java just suffers from that without any build system.)
And given that at least some programmers start out by using ant as a gestalt to build everything rather than providing functionality for building pieces (and then using those to do the build all) it complicates builds over time. It wasn't easy to do that with make at all.
