  • Pre requisite before running MD51--project driven planning

    Dear Experts,
    I am executing MD51, but no planned orders are generated.
    can u pls. suggest whr i m missing the steps .
    What i did:
    1-created WBS BOM taking reference to the material BOM.
    2-Attached that wbs bom in the activity
    3-Entered the desired work center and activity in the internal activity
    then i am trying to run MD51.
    Whether above steps are correct or do i need to create routing and to attach with the material.
    Pls. suggest how the routing part  will be taken care in this scenario.
    is there any other method through which we can generate planned order from the reservation which is created in the network.

    You can generate planned order from the reservation which is created in the network thru MD01 and MD02.
    check you mrp parameters in Material Master
    in MRP 1,2,3 Tabs
    check. the Planned independent requirements is'02'
    in material master
    also you should check the material wch generates Planned order is Procurement type E in the Material master.

  • Error installing Service Provider Foundation- pre-requisite for configuring Windows Azure Pack

    We are trying to setup lab at our premises to get hands on with WAP and explore.
    We are able to install all the pre-requisite software’s except the "Service Provider Foundation (SPF)" component. Using SPF we are trying to configure the WAP that is installed successfully.
    Software installed on Target machine-
    Win Server 2012 OS.
    Server roles enabled on host-Hyper-V,IIS, WSUS, File and storage services.
    SQl Server W2k12-sp1-Standard edition in mixed authentication mode.
    SCVMM.
    WAP.
    Issue description:-
    We try to run the 'Orchestatorsetup.exe' with both Local admin/domain admin account. Pre-requisite check during the installation of SPF is successful.
    When we select "Install” button, Setup.exe is getting terminated halfway through abruptly.
    We tried to analyze the attached error log file extract.

    Workaround tried:-
    1. As per the TechNet MS site changing the time zone to Pacific/London time zone. Tried it but issue persists.
    2. Tried to run the setup.exe using domain account and local admin account.
    Any help appreciated much..

    UAC was turned off and installation was tried using local admin account. The error log suggested it was failing to create a firewall exception rule for 8090/UDP port. Windows Firewall service was enabled. SPF got installed successfully.

    More of a BASIS question really, but I'd like to know what options I have for checking certain pre-requisites before processing XI sourced files using program RSEINBQUEUE?
    This background job is currently scheduled for 18:50 each night, but I really want to check either files at the Windows directory level or preferably the existence of the XI processing having taken place.

    Compiles flexfield data structures in Oracle Application Object Library (FND) tables. Choose this task after you apply a patch that changes the setup of flexfields. Patches usually indicate when you should perform this step.
    Flexfields automatically compile data when you use them for the first time, so running this task is not required. However, compiling flexfield data at a specific time (for example, when system use is low), rather than automatically at first use, can alleviate potential runtime performance issues.

    If the object which you are going to install is already active and if it is customised, and if you go for reinstallation, new standard object will reinstall the already customised existing oblect. However, if you select the check box MATCH (X) or COPY and do the installation, object will be activated with retainging customisation. so there will be no need to customise it again.
    It is always recommended to go for manual collection of objects rather then automatic collection, because there might be wierd chances that all the objects might not get activated and this will cause a problem while you move the same from DEV to PRODUCTION.

    FYI.
    I have cloned an Oracle 9i database on a DR test server.
    Now I am installing Oracle Application server 10g Forms and Reports (9.0.4) on Solaris 5.10
    This is using a Oracle CD which is for Solaris 5.9 but using twp patches supplied by oracle to run the CD from. So it is able to run on Solaris 5.10. It has been done before but by some past DBA some 5 years ago. This is the first time I am attempting this being a new employee here.
    I have implemented these suggestions.
    Especially the fact that it was looking for a gunzip utuility which it couldn't find. To make it easirer Ij ust copied the gunzip utility to the place it was looking for, and renamed it unzip. As it was loooking for unzip
    This worked and passed through.
    Created the temp temp directory as welll so it would not have issues in not writting to the tmp directory.
    The error I'm getting is below

    I am running humingbird Exceed, and have also set the DISPLAY to my screen.
    FYI I am running this from home so the 256 collours error would probably be ok if I did it from work (as I will on Monday)

    I am about to install MCOD system. ECC6.0 is already installed on the host,
    Now It is needed to install CRM 5.0 on to the same host and same database oracle.
    Could you please let me know what are the pre-requisites we take before i start the
    CRM installation.
    - Do we have any effect on to the existing env. variables because i have to start
    installation from the same host -root user
    - Do we need to take any special actions for the listener configuration?
    - I got through from Inst guide , we need to increase the free space in SYSTEM tablespace
    if you can provide any other pre-requisites, It will be greatful for me.

    Are you really SURE you want to do that? MCOD has more drawbacks that pro's.
    - Database maintenance requires both systems (ERP + CRM) to be shut down
    - system copies using backup/restore are always done for both systems (can be tricky)
    - in case of a logical error you have to reset both systems (imagine that in your ERP!)
    I would install a separate Oracle software and use a second ORACLE_HOME to separate both instances from each other. The only cost of that is local harddisk space for the Oracle software.

  • ADFS2012R2 Install: Why does this need Active Directory Domain Admin Account as one of the pre requisites for installating AD FS server

    We were trying to configure AD FS through ADFS Wizard on Windows 2012 R2 box as part of ADFS upgrade from ADFS 2.0 to ADFS 3.0. But the installation got stuck in between as the domain account which we were using does not have admin privileges on the AD side. 
    We have to raise to AD team to elevate the rights of the service accountb we are using.
    Can any one please tell me why having an admin AD account is pre requisite for the AD FS configuration, what are the "Write" changes which occur at Active Directory side post ADFS installtion, we need this details to supply to AD team for the justification
    purpose.
    Would appreciate any detailed response on this query

    dont know all exact objects ADFS is trying to create in AD, but it needs to create some container and objects under cn=Programm Data,DC=domain,dc=com for sharing certificates.
    We had troube with this because the container does'nt exists.

  • Win2000: Installer quits during "Executing pre-requisites..."

    Hello all. I tried to install Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000
    Advanced Server (w/SP2) and every time the installer just quits--
    no error message, nothing, the window just disappears--after
    choosing the type (Typical, Minimum, Custom), about 30% through
    the status bar when it says "Executing Pre-requisites...".
    Since didn't have much luck with that, I went ahead and
    installed Oracle on a Linux machine. Now I get the same problem
    when I just try to install the Client on Windows 2000. After
    choosing the type of client (Admin, Programmer, etc) it starts a
    status bar, and the installer just disappears after it gets
    to "Executing Pre-requisites..."
    Anyone have any idea what's going on here? This has actually
    occurred on two different Win2000 machines here. The only common
    factor I could see was that both of them had been upgraded to
    Internet Explorer 6. So I installed an old 4.7 versino of
    Netscape and tried again but had the same problem.

    Pentium 4...So I thought that Oracle8i did not support Intel P4
    at all...In fact, they did not support P4 in this time....If
    anyone figures it out..please share big references...
