Prelude Metadata panel of the Ingest dialog not available
Hi, the File Metadata panel of the Ingest dialog is not available (Prelude CS6 Mac) as mentioned in all Prelude tutorials or Help files. I can ingest, transfer or transcode with no problem, but cannot add metadata on Ingest (or add a preset) Any help will be deeply appreciated, thank you. I am ingesting AVCHD files

I've been trying to create new Managed Metadata services but get this error when trying to manage them:
The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. The Application Pool or Managed Metadata Web Service may not have been started. Please Contact your Administrator.
I've checked that the application pool that the Metadata service uses is running and that the account it's running under is in the farm administrators group. I've checked that the WCF hotfix is applied on the system by re-downloading KB971831 (I have Windows 2K8 SP2) and trying to run it again but it says it doesn't apply to my system (as I had installed it before installing SharePOint)
I'm not sure what else to do - can anyone give any pointers?
ThanksI've got the default one working again now, the new one "TM Metadata" has been added but shows the same error on the management page.

UPDATE : I've just gone back to IIS to check the pools and it looks like adding the 2nd metadata store has knocked out the app pool that the SecurityTokenService runs in. -

I'm not able to access the term store. I get an below mentioned error.
"The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. The Application Pool or Managed Metadata Web Service may not have been started. Please Contact your Administrator. "
Since this is happening on my local machine (Dev environment). I have full control on the term store and the all the site collections.
Hence, this is not a permission issue.
I have checked, the Metadata service is active on the machine. All the application pools in IIS is running.
After reading one of the recommendation on internet, I created a new Managed Metadata Service.
After which I was able access both (old and new) MMS from Central Admin only (highlight the MMS from manage service applications and click Manage ) and not from the site collection (term store management).
Now again its not working after I did an IISRESET.
The managed metadata service (Managed Metadata Service Connection) is grayed out.
ULS Error says:

I tried making all possible combination of changes to the web.config and client.config files but it does not make any difference to the environment.

It looks like you are using an older system, 32 bit, with an unsupported video card.

I am working in Crystal Reports XI Release 2 with Visual studio .Net 2003 (VC++).I am using RDC SDK
OpenReport function to create report.The report is generating without any fail.But the parameter dialog not invoked though the report is designed with parameter .

The RDC is specifically designed around the COM technologies and is intended for use Visual Basic 6 developers; therefore, it is not recommended, nor tested, for use in a .NET application. This limits the support offering for the RDC in a .NET application; however, because COM is a supported technology in .NET the RDC is known to function as expected in a .NET application.
To support any issue encountered with the RDC in a .NET application, these issues need to be reproducible in a supported COM-based development tool (such as VB6).

I'd recommend you forget about RDC in .NET and use the CR Assemblies for .NET.

Hi All, We are using Informatica 9.5.1 and Oracle 11g as by metadata DB. Initially our INFA_DOMAIN_REPO password was expired, so we couldn't connect to repository. Then we reset the same password and we restarted infa services also. But when we tried to connect repository we faced "Failed to connect repository" error. When i try to connect to Admin Consol, page was not displayed. I am extremely upset. I purchased my iPad in SA and now I am in Greece. I cannot download free apps as I get a message that the apps are not available in the SA store and only in US stores. When I change to the US store the same thing happens. What is the point of having an iPad if I cannot use it worldwide??? I am trying to get all web parts from our sharepoint site by calling web service method GetWebPartProperties of WebPartsPages service. The method works fine for the root page (Home Page) but for pages in sub site i get this in the xml

Please help me understand why i am getting this?

1. Mark sure the page URL is correct.
2. Check whether current user has permission to access the page.
3. Use SPServices to get web part properties.

Or another cause could be that your router thinks it's in its home country (probably china)
I just don't know how to fix it. There's a way but I don't know enough to advise.
You could try googling your router model and 'wrong country' or keywords like that and see if something comes up. -

Cached exchange mode was already marked so that was not the issue.
I have done all the usual of creating a new profile, reinstalling Outlook etc but nothing seemed to work. I also tried going back to Outlook 2007 and reinstalling Windows but same problem.
However, I am not sure if it is connected but I was useing the option in MS Live Sync to synchronise Office settings which I turned off recently and now no longer have the issue. Unfortunately I cannot remember when in the process I did this so cannot be

I guess your latter statement jives more with my situation, that being the studio/rights-holder hasn't feel inclined to provide the date.

Outlook 2010 - Move to public folder brings an error "the folder is not available"
Hi
we have exchange 2010 SP3 in our organization
clients use both 2010 SP2 \ 2013 outlooks
when moving an item from the mailbox to a public folder directory the item moves successfully, and the directory is added to the recent directories under the "Move" button.
then, when I try to move another item to a public folder directory from the dropdown recent list I get the error message:
"The folder is not available"
obviously it's available as I can do the same action manually. it happens on Outlook 2010, Outlook 2010 SP2 and Outlook 2013
for all the users
so it's not a profile or a user's issue
I saw many posts with the same error but they mostly talk about pst files and the solution is the kb
2405793 which is already included in SP2 + out users don't use pst. everything is in exchange

From your description, when you drag an item to public folder, it is successful. When you use the "Move" button to move an item to public folder, it occurred the above error. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
I recommend you check if the issue also exists via OWA. If the issue doesn't occur when you use OWA, please verify if the issue happens on Outlook online mode or in cached mode.

I found a solution for this problem, this can happen if my client is not updated. But IT IS!
How does it works? Can we use the **bleep** Skype how we would like to use? Or this time we need to find an other application (like Viber), and using that while they not buying that as well, just because that is better?

Error trying to Connect to WSE 2012 R2 with Connector Software - The server is not available
I had to completely reset my MS Surface Pro 3 due to virus activity, so it was wiped and reinstalled. It had previously connected to the Server without
hiccup. Ever since doing this I cannot reconnect using the SERVERNAME\Connect process - it continually fails. I have reviewed the forums and web for a week trying different solutions to no avail. I would appreciate it if someone could advise?
I have:
Ensured that the Connector Software update is not installed from Installed Updates
Checked the Bindings in IIS Manager against the WSS Certificate Web Service and it is set to SERVERNAME.
Ensured my time on the Client is synchronised
Tried connecting using the original PC-Name and when that didn't work, I have tried a new name and removed the old device from the server.
I have ensured that I am on a Workgroup.
The install process finds the server sets up connector and asks for my network user name and password and then continues for a fair time until it
comes back with the error”:
"The server is not available/ Try connecting this computer again, of for more information, see Troubleshoot connecting computers to the server.”

I am running a Telstra ADSL modem with a separate Cisco router and Netgear Switch.
I would appreciate any help I can get please as I am a novice and do not understand a lot about the certificate and DNS errors.Would you please try manually set the DNS address on client NIC to the IP of your server, then try run the connector again?
